THE HAJJ OF THE PROPHET (PBUH): A Detailed Account
Posted by: SisterJennifer - 12-08-2007, 09:37 PM - Forum: Haj, Umrah, Eid ul Adha - Replies (1)

Muslim reports: "Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaibah and Ishaq bin Ibrahim told us that Hatem bin Isma'il al-Madani reported of Ja'far bin Mohammad and he of his father, saying, 'We visited Jabir bin Abdullah (he was blind) and he began inquiring about the people (who had come to see him) till it was my turn. I said: "I am Mohammad ibn Ali ibn Hussein." He placed his hand on my head and opened my upper button and then the lower one, and then placed his hand on my chest (in order to bless me). I was during those days a young boy, and then he said: "You are welcome, my nephew. Ask whatever you want to ask." I asked him a question but it was time for prayer. He stood up covering himself in his mantle. Whenever he placed its ends upon his shoulders they slipped down because it was short (in size).

Another mantle was, however, Iying on the clothes rack nearby (and he put it on) and led the prayer. I said to him: "Tell me about the Hajj of the Prophet (peace be upon him)." He held up his nine fingers and said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) stayed in Madinah for nine years but did not perform Hajj. Then, in the tenth year he made a public announcement to the effect that Allah's Messenger was about to perform the Hajj. A large number of people came to Madinah, and all of them were eager to emulate the Prophet (peace be upon him) and follow his actions.

"We set out with him until we reached Dhul-Hulaifah, where Asma

bint 'Umais gave birth to Mohammad ibn Abi Bakr. She sent a message to the Prophet (peace be upon him) asking him: "What should I do?" He said, "Take a bath, bandage your private parts and put on ihram.

"The Prophet (peace be upon him) then prayed in the mosque and then mounted al-Qaswa (his she-camel) and it stood erect with him on its back at al-Baida. As far as I could see in front of me, behind me, on my right and on my left, I saw riders and pedestrians. The Messenger of Allah (peace be him) was prominent among us and the (revelation) of the Qur'an was descending upon him, and it is he who knows (its true) interpretation. Whatever he did, we also did.

He pronounced the Oneness of Allah (saying): Labbaika Allahumma

labbaik labbaika la sharika laka labbaik, innal hamda wan-ni'mata

laka wal mulk, la sharika lak (O Allah! I hasten to You. You have no

partner. I hasten to You. All praise and grace is Thine and the

Sovereignty too; You have no partner). And the people also pronounced this talbiyah which they pronounce today. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) did not disapprove of anything in it, but he adhered to his own talbiyah.

Jabir said: "We did not have any other intention but that of Hajj

only, being unaware of the 'Umrah, but when we came with him to the House (of Allah), he touched the Black Stone (Hajar al Aswad) and made seven circuits, running three of them and walking four. Then going to the Station of Ibrahim, he recited: "And adopt the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer.'' (Qur'an 2.125) He stood at a place where the Station (of Ibrahim) was between him and the House. There he prayed two rak'ahs reciting Surah Al-lkhlas, and Surah Al-Kafirun.

He then returned to the Black Stone (Hajar al A.sl~ad) and kissed it.

Then he went out of the gate to Safa, and as he approached it he

recited: "Al-Safa and al-Marwah are among the signs appointed by

Allah," (Qur'an 2.15) (adding:) I begin with what Allah began. He

first mounted Safa until he saw the House, and facing Qiblah he

declared the Oneness of Allah and glorified Him and said: La ilaha

illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulk wa lahul hamd, wa

huwa 'ala kulli sha'in qadeer, la ilaha illallahu wahdahu anjaza

wa'dahu, wa nasara 'abdahu, wa hazamal ahzaba wahdah (There is no God

but Allah, One, He has no partner. His is the Sovereignty, to Him

praise is due, and He is Powerful over everything. There is no God

but Allah alone, Who fulfilled His promise, helped His servant and

routed the confederates alone").

He said these words three times making supplications in between. He

then descended and walked towards Marwah, and when his feet touched

the bottom of the valley, he ran; and when he began to ascend, he

walked till he reached Marwah. There he did as he had done at Safa.

"When it was his last round of Marwah he said: 'If I had known

beforehand what I have come to know afterwards, I would not have

brought sacrificial animals and would have offered it as an 'Umrah.

So, he among you who has not the sacrificial animals with him should

put off ihram and treat it as an 'Umrah. Suraqa ibn Malik ibn Ju'tham

got up and said, 'Messenger of Allah, does it apply to the present

year, or does it apply forever? Thereupon the Messenger of Allah

(peace be upon him) intertwined the fingers (of one hand) into

another and said twice: 'The 'Umrah has become incorporated in the

Hajj,' (adding): 'No, but forever and ever.'

"Ali came from Yemen with the sacrificial animals for the Prophet

(peace be upon him) and found Fatimah (Allah be pleased with her) to

be one among those who had put olf ihram. put on dyed clothes, and

had applied kuhl*. Ali showed diiapproval of it, whereupon she

said: 'My father has commanded me to do this.' (The narrator) said

that Ali used to say in Iraq: 'I went to the Messenger of Allah

(peace be upon him) showing annoyance at Fatimah for what she had

done, and asked the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding what she

had narrated from him, and told him that he was angry with her,

whereupon the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'She has told the

truth; she has told the truth.'

"(The Prophet then asked Ali): 'What did you say when you put on

ihram?' I (Ali) said: 'O Allah, I am putting on ihram for the same

purpose as Your Messenger has put it on.' Thereupon the Prophet

(peace be upon him) told him, 'I have with me sacrificial animals, so

do not put off the ihram.'

"(Jabir) said: 'The total number of those sacrificial animals brought

by Ali from Yemen and of those brought by the Prophet (peace be upon

him) was one hundred. All the people except the Prophet (peace be

upon him) and those who had with them sacrificial animals, put off

ihram and got their hair clipped. When it was the day of Tarwiya (8th

of Dhul-Hijjah) they went to Mina and put on the ihram for Hajj and

the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) rode and led there, the

noon, afternoon, sunset, 'Isha and dawn prayers. He then waited a

little till the sun rose, and commanded that a tent of hair should be

pitched at Namira.

"The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then set out and the

Quraish did not doubt that he would halt at Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram (the

sacred site) as the Quraish used to do in the pre-Islamic period. The

Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), however, passed on till he

came to 'Arafah and he found that the tent had been pitched for him

at Namira. There he got down till the sun had passed the meridian; he

commanded that al-Qaswa be brought and saddled for him. Then he came

to the bottom of the valley, and addressed the people saying: Verily

your blood, your property are as sacred and inviolable as the

sacredness of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this town

of yours.

Behold! Everything pertaining to the Days of Ignorance is under my

feet, and completely abolished. Abolished are also the blood-revenges

of the Days of Ignorance. The first claim of ours on blood-revenge

which I abolish is that of the son of Rabi 'a ibn al-Harith, who was

nursed among the tribe of Sa'd and killed by Hudhail. And the usury

of the pre-Islamic period is abolished, and the first of our usury I

abolish is that of 'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib, for it is all

abolished.

Fear Allah concerning women! Verily you have taken them on the

security of Allah, and intercourse with them has been made lawful

unto you by word of Allah. You too have rights over them, in that

they should not allow anyone to sit on your bed whom you do not like.

But if they do that, you can chastise them but not severely. Their

rights upon you are that you should provide them with food and

clothing in a fitting manner.

I have left among you the Book of Allah, and if you hold fast to it,

you will never go astray. And you will be asked about me (on the Day

of Resurrection) , (now tell me) what would you say? They (the

audience) said: "We will bear witness that you have conveyed (the

message), discharged (the ministry of Prophethood) and given wise

(sincere) counsel." He (the narrator) said: "He (the Holy Prophet)

then raised his forefinger towards the sky and pointing it at the

people (said): 'O Allah, be witness. O Allah be witness,' saying it

thrice' ."

"Then adhan was pronounced and later on iqama and the Prophet (peace

be upon him) led the noon prayer. Then another Iqama was pronounced

and the Prophet (peace be upon him) led the afternoon prayer and he

observed no other prayer in between the two. (This proves the

validity of joining Zuhr and 'Asr prayer on this day, at this place.

There is consensus on it, but there is disagreement as to its cause.

Abu Hanifah and some Shafi'i scholars hold that it is a part of Hajj,

but the majority of Shafi+i scholars hold it is due to journey) The

Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then mounted his camel and

came to the place where he was to stay. He made his she-camel, al-

Qaswa, turn towards the rocky side, with the pedestrian path Iying in

front of him. He faced the Qiblah, and stood there until the sun set,

and the yellow light diminished somewhat, and the disc of the sun

totally disappeared. He made Usama sit behind him, and pulled the

nosestring of Qaswa so forcefully that its head touched the saddle

(in order to keep her under perfect control), and pointing out with

his right hand, advised the people to be moderate (in speed)

saying: "O people! calmness, calmness!" Whenever he passed over an

elevated tract of land, he slightly loosened the nose-string of his

camel till she climbed up. This is how he reached al-Muzdalifah. "

"There he led the evening and 'Isha prayers with one adhan and two

iqamas and did not glorify (Allah) in between them (i.e. he did not

observe supererogatory rak 'ahs between Maghrib and 'Isha prayers).

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) then lay down til1 dawn

and offered the dawn prayer with an adhan and iqama when the morning

light was clear. He again mounted al-Qaswa, and when he came to Al-

Mash'ar Al-Haram, he faced Qiblah, and supplicated to Allah,

Glorified Him, and pronounced His Uniqueness and Oneness, and kept

standing till the daylight was very clear.

"He then went quickly before the sun rose, and seated behind him was

Al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas, who wa.s a man with beautiful hair, fair

complexion, and handsome face. As the Messenger of Allah (peace be

upon him) moved on, a group of women riding camels was also passing.

Al-Fadl began to look at them. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon

him) placed his hand on Al-Fadl's face who then turned his face to

the other side, and began to look, and the Messenger of Allah (peace

be upon him) turned his hand to the other side and placed it on Al-

Fadl's face. He again turned his face to the other side till he came

to the bottom of Muhassir. He urged her (al-Qaswa) a little, and,

following the middle road, (This proves that it is sunnah to follow a

different road on the way back from Arafah than the one taken while

going toward it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) went by the Dab road

to Arafah. Similarly he used to take different routes going to or

coming back from 'Eid prayers) which comes out at the greatest

Jamarah, he came to the Jamarah which is near the tree. At this he

threw seven small pebbles, saying, 'Allahu Akbar' while throwing

every one of them in a manner in which the small pebbles are thrown

(holding them with fingers) and this he did while at the bottom of

the valley. (That is, he stood there at a place where Mina, Arafah

and Al-Muzdalifah were on his right, and Makkah on his left side)

"He then went to the place of sacrifice, and sacrificed sixty-three

(camels) with his own hand. He shared the remaining camels with Ali,

who sacrificed them. He then commanded that a piece of meat from each

sacrificed animal be put in a pot. When it was cooked, both of them

(the Prophet and Ali) ate some of it and drank its soup.

"The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) again rode and came to

the House (of Allah), where he performed Tawaf Al-Ifadah and oftered

the Zuhr prayer at Makkah. He came to the tribe of 'Abd al-Muttalib,

who were supplying water at Zamzam, and said: 'Draw water, O

Banu 'Abd al-Muttalib; were it not that people would usurp this right

of supplying water from you, I would have drawn it along with you.'

So they handed him a bucket and he drank from it."

The scholars said: "This hadith is one of its kind. It contains lots

of valuable information. " Al-Qadi 'Iyad said: "Many scholars have

spoken (and written) at great length about the legal injunctions

contained in this hadith." Abu Bakr ibn Al-Mundhir has listed a large

part of these identifying about one hundred and fifty injuctions. He

observes that if he had analysed more closely this number would

almost double.

The scholars said: This hadith indicates that for the women giving

birth to a child or having monthly periods it is sunnah - and much

more so for others - to take a bath when they intend to perform Hajj

or 'Umrah. It also teaches us that the women who are menstruating or

are still in their confinement after childbirth, should clean

themselves properly, cover their private parts with a piece of

cotton, then declare their ihram. It also indicates that ihram must

be declared after offering either a fard or a supererogatory prayer.

After declaring ihram one should utter talbiyah loudly and preferably

use the same words as used by the Prophet (peace be upon him).

However, there is no harm in adding similar phrases as 'Umar did: "O

Allah! I answer Your call, You Who gives blessings and good favors. I

answer Your call fearing You, and wishing Your favor."

This hadith also indicates that a pilgrim must first come to Makkah

where one must perform circumambulation of arrival in Makkah (Tawaf

qudoom), and touch the Black Stone--if possible--and make the first

three rounds running, while making the other four walking at normal

speed. The running is done around the Ka'bah except between the

Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone.

After making the Tawaf one must go to the Station of Ibrahim (peace

be upon him) and recite the verse: "Take the Station of Ibrahim as a

place for prayer." Then standing there, with the Station of Ibrahim

between him and the Ka'bah, he should pray two rak'ahs reciting after

Al-Fatihah, Surah Al-Kafirun in the first rak'ah, and Surah Al-lkhlas

in the second rak'ah. This hadith also indicates that touching the

Black Stone again prior to leaving the Sacred Mosque is recommended

(if possible), just as one did upon entering it. There is consensus

among the scholars that touching (kissing) the Black Stone is sunnah.

After that, one must make Sa'i and for this purpose go to mount Safa.

climb it, face the Ka'bah and make supplications three times to

Allah. Then. one must climb down and walk toward Marwah, while

jogging in the marked area called bainal milain between Safa and

Marwah every time one passes this area during the seven rounds not

just in the first three rounds as in Tawaf. On reaching Marwah one

should climb it just as one climbed Safa, make supplications, and

make remembrance.

Completion of all these rites will complete one's 'Umrah. Now one

should either shave one's head or clip some of one's hair to get out

of the state of ihram. This is precisely what the Companions of the

Prophet (peace be upon him) did when the Prophet (peace be upon him)

commanded them to change their Hajj to 'Umrah. As for the pilgrim who

is combining Hajj and 'Umrah, he must not shave or clip his hair, but

should remain in his state of ihram.

On the 8th of Dhul-Hij jah. those who had put off their ihram after

making 'Umrah, should again put on ihra77l to perform pilgrimage, and

then head to Mina with those who combine Hajj and 'Umrah. It is

sunnah to offer the five daily prayers in Mina and to spend the night

of the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah there.

It is also sunnah not to leave Mina for 'Arafah until after the

sunrise, and not to enter 'Arafah until the sun begins to decline,

and after ot'fering both Zuhr and 'Asr prayers, which the Prophet

(peace be upon him) offered at Namira which is not a part of 'Arafah.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not enter his quarters at 'Arafah

until after otfering Zuhr and 'Asr prayers. Moreover, it is also

sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) to offer some

supererogatory (nawafil) prayers in between these two prayers.

The imam should give a sermon before the prayer, which is one of the

sunnah sermons in pilgrimage. The second sermon is given by the imam

on the 7th of Dhul-Hijjah after Zuhr prayer in the Ka'bah. The third

of these sunnah sermons is delivered on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, the

day of slaughtering. And the fourth sermon is given on the day the

people leave (yawm an-nafr)--the 11th day of Dhul-Hijjah.

This hadith also contains some important manners and etiquette for

performing Hajj and 'Umrah:

2. It is better to spend the time at 'Arafah riding one's mount.

3. It is better to stand by the rocks or close to them as the

Prophet (peace be upon him) did.

4. One should face Qiblah while in 'Arafah.

5. One must stay at one's quarters in 'Arafah until sunset.

6. One should make supplications to Allah, raising one's hands

to one's chest, and after the sunset calmly and quietly

leave 'Arafah. And if one is in a leading position one should ask

others to do likewise.

7. Upon arriving at Al-Muzdalifah, one should combine Maghrib

and 'Isha prayers with one adhan and two iqamahs.

8. One may not offer any nawafil prayers in between these two

prayers. There is consensus among Muslim scholars about combining

these two prayers. They differ, however, concerning the reason for

it. Some claim that it is a part of the rites of the Hajj, while

others say it is a permission granted to them, because they are

traveling.

9. Spending the night at Al-Muzdalifah is also sunnah. All

scholars agree that it is part of the Hajj rites. They do, however,

differ on whether spending the night there is obligatory or sunnah.

10. It is also sunnah to offer Fajr prayer at Al-Muzdalifah, and

then depart from it for Al-Mash'ar Al-Haram to stop there and make

supplications. Stopping there is a part of the Hajj rite.

11. It is sunnah to leave Al-Mash 'ar Al-Haram when dawn is well

advanced and go to the bottom of Mohassir valley. When in this valley

one should walk fast because this is the place where Allah's wrath

descended upon the Companions of the Elephant.

12. On reaching the jamarah--jamarah al 'aqabah--one should throw

seven pebbles at it, and with each throw say Allahu Akbar. The

pebbles should be no more than the size of a cereal seed (beans).

13. After this one should offer his sacrifice, if one has one,

slaughtering it with one's own hands. After slaughtering one may

shave one's head.

14. Now one must go to Makkah to perform Tawaf ifadah also known

as Tawaf az-ziyarah or circumambulation of visit.

One is thereafter permitted to engage in any lawful activity that was

unlawful for him while in the state of ihram, including sexual

intercourse with one's wife. A person who has thrown pebbles at

Jamarah al- 'Aqabah, but has not performed the circumambulation of if

adah (or ziyarah) may engage in any lawful activity except sexual

intercourse with his wife.

That is the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him) concerning

Hajj. It explains what he meant when, according to a hadith, he

said: "Take your rites from me," for his Hajj alone is the real and

true Hajj.

  Regarding relations with slaves

Perhaps. But a muslim slave owner can have sex with his slaves whether or not he is married to them. In fact, according to the koran, the slave owner can have sex with his female slaves even if the slave is married to someone else. I find this belief offensive in the extreme.

According to your second link:

Also, the Prophet's mission was not to eradicate slavery, but to establish rights and bring people to the point of being able to eradicate it from their own hearts first before they eradicated it from society.

Slavery was practiced in Saudi Arabia until 1962, and the only reason it was eliminated is that President Kennedy put intense pressure on the Saudi government to stop this vile practice. So, then, it appears that even 1300 years was an insufficiant period of time for Arab muslims to eradicate slavery "from their own hearts".

Since the end of slavery was forced upon Arabs, and not given up by choice, I have no doubt that Arabs would legalize slavery again in a second if there was a wayfor them to do so. Besides, as all of us know, the treatment of many of the foreign workers in Saudi Arabia and other gulf countries is little better than slavery.

In addition to the near slavery which is still practiced in Arab countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Qatar, actual slavery is still practiced by muslims in Mauritania (which is 100% muslim) and Sudan (which is 70% muslim).

Reepi, before you want to just sit around complaining about what the Arabs do, or did in the past, maybe it would be a good idea to take off your horse googles and look at what the rest of the world does as well. Maybe if you can do that we could actually get results from discussion on these issues rather than having to address the same material over and over:

Who are Believers according to Quran?

Who are Believers according to Quran?

<b>Surah At-Tawba: Ayah 112</b>

"They who turn (to Allah), who serve (Him), who praise (Him), who fast, who bow down, who prostrate themselves, who enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, and who keep the limits of Allah; and give good news to the believers."

<b>Surah Al-Muminun : Ayah 1-11</b>

"Successful indeed are the believers, Who are humble in their prayers, And who keep aloof from what is vain, And who are givers of poor-rate, And who guard their private parts, Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blamable, But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, And those who keep a guard on their prayers; These are they who are the heirs, Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein."

<b>Surah Ash-Shura : Ayah 36-38</b>

"So whatever thing you are given, that is only a provision of this world's life, and what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who believe and rely on their Lord. And those who. shun the great sins and indecencies, and whenever they are angry they forgive. And those who respond to their Lord and keep up prayer, and their rule is to take counsel among themselves, and who spend out of what We have given them. "

<b>Surah An-Nur : Ayah 30-31</b>

"Say to the believing men that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts; that is purer for them; surely Allah is Aware of what they do. And say to the believing women that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts and do not display their ornaments except what appears thereof, and let them wear their head-coverings over their bosoms, and not display their ornaments except to their husbands or their fathers, or the fathers of their husbands, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers, or their brothers' sons, or their sisters' sons, or their women, or those whom their right hands possess, or the male servants not having need (of women), or the children who have not attained knowledge of what is hidden of women; and let them not strike their feet so that what they hide of their ornaments may be known; and turn to Allah all of you, O believers! so that you may be successful."

  Mormon missionaries.

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

I was in Hong Kong yesterday for some business, and of course my wife asked me to buy some products from the biggest Filipino mall in Hong Kong. And so I went there around lunch time and before entering the building I was stopped by 2 young men dressing in white shirts and nice ties and they started smiling at me and introducing themselves, I immediately noticed that they are Christian missionaries because they are wearing black plastic name card saying "The Church of Jesus Christ", they asked me if I was interested to listen to their message regarding Jesus pbuh and I didn't mind at all. So I invited them for lunch and the discussion started.

One of them is from Australia he told me that The Bible was altered many times and that the real message of Jesus pbuh was distorted by Christians themselves throughout the time, but amazingly the message of Jesus was <b>"RE-stored" </b> when a man called Joseph Smith was chosen by God to be <b>"a modern day prophet" </b> who found some plates somewhere in America and translated them into English and those plates are now known as <b>"the book of Mormon" </b> or <i>Another testimony of Jesus Christ.</i>

Anyway, the other missionary from USA told me that he was a Catholic one day but he was not satisfied with the Catholic teachings until one day he prayed <i>"in Jesus name"</i> to find the truth and so he <b>"found it" </b> and that is "the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints" , the only true denomination of Christianity, he said.

Basically they were trying to tell me that instead of being confused, just come with us to our church and get baptized today before it's too late, and they ensured that each and every word they are uttering is inspired by the power of<b> the Holy Ghost</b>.

<b></b>

So I started to ask some questions:

Wael: What is the position of Islam/Muslims/Muhammad pbuh according to Mormons?

The America missionary stepped up to answer, he says:

I believe that Muhammad pbuh <i>saw something </i> (Angel), and I believe that God Almighty <b>inspired him </b> with some message.

Wael: So do you believe that Muhammad pbuh is a Prophet of God?

He said: <b>could be</b>, because I read the Qur'an and it is very close to the teaching of the Bible.

Wael: so am I going to heaven if I followed this man?

He said: (<b>after long pause</b>): let me explain to you:

he took a white paper and started to draw for me three circle, one above the other, then he pointed to the first circle and said, this is the highest heaven where God and Jesus <b>PHYSICALLY</b> lives, this is the place where all people who accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior will be. Then he pointed to the second circle and said this is where Jesus lives (<b>please note: Jesus now lives in 2 kinds of heavens</b>). This is the place where people who strived hard to know the truth but the time does not permit them to get baptized, then he pointed his pen towards the third circle and told me that this is the place for<b> all bad people </b> (please note, this place is also in heaven according to them, they told me it is better place than this earth), this place will be for those people who were bad on this earth but yet they love Jesus pbuh.

Then he drew a line after these three circles and told me, after that is <b>Hell fire</b>, for those who <i>KNEW</i> the truth about Jesus, <b>that he is God, Savior etc </b> but yet rejected to accept him and kept to reject him till they die.

So I further asked them:

<b>In which place will I (Muslims) be?
</b>

So he believed (The American) that I (Muslims) will be in either <b>the second or the third heaven depends on our deeds. </b>

So I concluded my discussion with them as follows:

Since Muslims are going to be in heavens anyway, then <b>why are you asking me to get baptized before it's too late? </b>

Believe me, there was no answer, even their <i>Holy Ghost </i> was not able to offer them any help.

Ohhhh the Australian finally found it (<b>i.e. the Holy Ghost</b>)... He said:

Quote:"Brother, seek further help from God by praying in Jesus name and God will show you the Truth, because God answers the prayer"

I then thanked them so much for being so kind to me and I gave them my contact information in case they wanted to learn about Islam one day, (it seems that the American is much more interested to know about Islam). So, May Allah guide both of them to the right path. Ameen.

<b>SIDE NOTE:</b>

Can you believe that these 2 missionaries, <b>and thousands of other missionaries belongs to the same Church </b> are sent by their organization to many parts of the world to do <b>Daw'ah</b> (to call people to their faith)? They are trained very well before traveling, they are asked to learn any language of their choice for about 3 months, are also trained on how to approach people and talk to them for another 3 months, <b>then they are sent to all over the world to preach their faith in the language of people's choice</b>, (English, Arabic, Chinese, Cantonese, Tagalong, Thai, Malaysian, Indonesian, Indian languages, and hundreds of other languages) and of course all the expenses are carried by "the Church of Christ of latter day saints", many colored pamphlets are distributed freely through these missionaries, even the book of Mormon is given for free. during their mission (<b>2 whole yeras</b>) eating, clothing, accommodation, and some pocket money is given by the Church to these missionaries so that they can survive during their mission.

<b>Now the question is, are we really doing any good job as compare to this Church?
</b>

Just thought to share with you this little story, I hope that was not boring insh a Allah.

Salam

Wael

BREAKING NEWS: Abdelhaleem Ashqar Sentenced to 11-Years

He said he would rather go to prison than betray his people as they strive to free themselves from Israeli domination.

By Mike Robinson

CHICAGO (AP) Nov. 21, 2007 - A former business professor accused of taking part in a Palestinian terrorist network was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison Wednesday for refusing to testify before a federal grand jury.

Abdelhaleem Ashqar, 49, a former associate professor of business at Washington's Howard University, was taken into custody by federal marshals immediately after the sentencing during which prosecutors warned that he might flee.

Ashqar was convicted earlier this year of criminal contempt and obstruction of justice for refusing to testify in 2003 before a grand jury investigating the Palestinian militant movement Hamas. Prosecutors had granted him immunity.

He and co-defendant Muhammad Salah were acquitted of taking part in a racketeering conspiracy aimed at bankrolling Hamas in its violent attacks on the government of Israel. But prosecutors presented telephone records showing that Ashqar was in contact with Hamas leaders.

In a passionate, arm-waving statement before sentencing, Ashqar painted a grim picture of the suffering of Palestinians under the Israeli occupation and said some of his own relatives had been killed or jailed.

He said he would rather go to prison than betray his people as they strive to free themselves from Israeli domination.

"The only option was to become a traitor or a collaborator and this is something that I can't do and will never do as long as I live," he said.

Federal prosecutors said that Ashqar's refusal to testify made it harder to investigate violent crimes committed by Hamas. Some coded messages that if understood might help to prevent acts of terrorism remain incomprehensible to investigators, prosecutors said.

"A man who knows (the meaning) is sitting right across the room but he won't tell us," Assistant U.S. Attorney Reid J. Schar told U.S. District Judge Amy J. St. Eve.

In a key decision, St. Eve found that Ashqar's refusal to testify was motivated by a desire to "promote terrorism." That toughened the federal sentencing guidelines and guaranteed that he would get a stiff sentence.

While Ashqar accepted his sentence stoically, many of his relatives wept openly and a woman identified by defense attorneys as Ashqar's mother-in-law screamed furiously at the prosecutors in Arabic. She later collapsed in the lobby of the courthouse and was taken to a hospital by fire ambulance.

St. Eve, a former federal prosecutor, listened to Ashqar as he described how a number of his relatives had been jailed and even killed under the Israeli occupation and forced to live in squalid conditions.

She said she understood his determination to struggle on their behalf "but when you're in this country you have to do it legally." She said that her sentence would "promote respect for the law."

Defense attorneys said St. Eve imposed an unusually stiff sentence on Ashqar given the complex political background. In addition to 135 months in prison he was given a $5,000 fine.

"This is an obscene sentence," said Michael E. Deutsch, an attorney for Salah, who was convicted of lying on a document and sentenced to 22 months in prison. Deutsch said five years was the most he had expected.

Deutsch noted that another man, Sharif Alwan, who refused to testify before a grand jury in the same investigation was sentenced to two years.

Ashqar attorney William Moffitt compared his client with Nelson Mandela who served 27

Who are the Black pope and the Jesuits?
Posted by: abdulwalee - 11-11-2007, 09:19 PM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (2)

Secrets the Jesuits don't want you to know

Out of Europe, a voice is heard from the secular world that documents historically the same information told by ex-priests. The author exposes the Vatican's involvement in world politics, intrigues, and the fomenting of wars throughout history. It appears, beyond any doubt, that the Roman Catholic institution is not a Christian church and never was. The poor Roman Catholic people have been betrayed by her and are facing spiritual disaster...

From the book: “The Secret History of the Jesuits” by Edmond Paris; translated from the French, 1975:

About the author “Edmond Paris”:

“In exposing such a conspiracy, he put his life at stake.” “Edmond Paris never knew me, but I knew him without meeting him personally when I, with other Jesuits under the extreme oath and induction, was being briefed on the names of institutions and individuals in Europe who were dangerous to the goals of the Roman Catholic Institution. His name was given to us.” “The Edmond Paris works on Roman Catholicism brought about the pledge on the part of the Jesuits to: 1) destroy him, 2) destroy his reputation, including his family and, 3) destroy his work.”

-Dr. Alberto Rivera

(Ex-Jesuit Priest)

“The Jesuits secretly and relentlessly work toward two major goals for the Roman Catholic Institution: 1. “Universal political power” and 2. “A universal church in fulfillment of the prophesies of Revelation 6, 13, 17 and 18.” ¹

The Jesuits (Society of Jesus) are the spies and the assassination squad of the Catholic Church. People who believe this institution to be “religious” or “spiritual” are sadly deluded. It is and always has been political in every respect. It is a political front that operates to control people using many fictitious religious characters and ceremonies stolen from religions predating it from around the world. The separation of church and state mean nothing to the Catholic Church, that works relentlessly and ruthlessly for world domination by any means possible. This institution has been built on mass murder, torture, extortion, organized crime, lies and depriving humanity of true spirituality. It has controlled kings, queens, nobility, presidents, governments, and nearly anyone in power.

There are claims of a “Black Pope.” This is only a myth; a myth to divert the responsibility from the Catholic Pope and his clan of criminals. In truth, they employ the concept of Hegelianism by playing both sides against the middle to gain control. This is analogous to someone who openly preaches against illicit drug use, openly works for the DEA pretending to fight illicit drug use and in secret, operates a drug smuggling and distribution ring right out of the DEA; or a crooked cop. While the Catholic Church openly claims to be a religious and charitable institution, it secretly runs and controls organized criminal activities.

The Protestants are all too happy to condemn the Catholics and dig up dirt on them as blame shifting takes away the need to explain how such degeneracy and odious actions could repeatedly occur within the xian churches. Of course, we all know Satan has been a scapegoat for these criminals all along, as they are too deluded and indoctrinated to see it has been their own “god” who has always been deceiving them.

Ignatius de Loyola was the founder of the Jesuits. The Protestant reformation had done serious damage to the uncontested control of the Catholic Church by the time he arrived on the scene. He came to the conclusion the only way the Catholic Church could regain the power it lost was to enforce the canons and doctrines on the temporal power of the pope and not just destroy lives through the Inquisition, as the Dominican priests and nuns were doing, but to secretly infiltrate every area of life.

“The constitution of the Company of Jesus was at last drafted and approved in Rome by Paul III, in 1540, and the Jesuits put themselves at the disposition of the pope, promising him unconditional obedience.” ²

Ignatius was more aware than any other Catholic leader who preceded him that the best way to control a man was to become master of his mind. “We imbue him to spiritual forces which he would find very difficult to eliminate later.” “…forces more lasting than all the best principles and doctrines; these forces can come up again to the surface sometimes after years of not even mentioning them, and become so imperative that the will finds itself unable to oppose any obstacle, and has to follow their irresistible impulse.” ³

One must always remember how the Catholic Church has much esoteric knowledge at its disposal from centuries of confiscating, looting, and systematic removal of these materials from the populace. The Jesuits have used this knowledge to the detriment of humanity. Unbeknownst to most, the Jesuits have infiltrated every country on the face of the earth and have been expelled by many. Through the Catholic sacrament of confession, the Jesuits gained control of Kings and Queens, rulers and nobility. They were even offered important political posts openly. It wouldn’t be at all surprising that blackmail was frequently used.

"Whenever a country was infested with Jesuits, they managed to take control. This was done through infiltration. Soon after, the authorities began consulting them with important issues, large donations would start flowing in and before long, “they occupied all of the schools, the pulpits of most churches and the confessionals of all high ranking people.” 4

"The public is practically unaware of the overwhelming responsibility carried by the Vatican and its Jesuits in the start of the two world wars- a situation which may be explained in part by the gigantic finances at the disposition of the Vatican and its Jesuits, giving them power in so many spheres, especially since the last conflict." 5

“No state suffered as much as Poland did under the Jesuits’ domination.” “And in no other country apart from Portugal, was the society so powerful.” “While Poland was heading fast towards ruin, the number of Jesuit establishments and schools was growing so fast that the General made Poland into a special congregation in 1751.” 6

Teachings of the Far East were corrupted with the arrival and infestation of the Jesuits. Jesuit Robert de Nobile settled in India to convert the masses to Catholicism there. True to the nature of a Jesuit, he infiltrated the Brahmin priestly caste (always appealing to the ruling classes). “He developed the clothes, habits and way of living of the Brahmins, mixed their rites with Christian ones, all with the approval of Pope Gregory XV.” He converted over 250,000 Hindus. 7

This, more than likely is where a lot of the ludicrous new age teachings with their promotion of the nazarene, the teachings of “karma” and angels comes from- xian infiltration.

"In South America, they conquered the natives who were subsequently forced to live under strict Catholicism. “The Jesuits watch over them…” “…they punish the smallest mistakes…The whip, fasting, prison, pillory on the public square, public penance in the church, these are the chastisements they use.”

“The culprit dressed in the clothes of a penitent, was escorted to church where he confessed his fault. Then he was whipped on the public square according to the penal code… The culprits always received this chastisement, not only without murmurs, but also with thanksgivings…The guilty one, having been punished and reconciled, kissed the hand of the one who struck him, saying ‘May God reward you for freeing me, by this light punishment, from the eternal sorrows which threatened me." 8

“We will compose poems; but may our poets be Christians and not followers of Pagans who invoke Muses, Mountain Nymphs, Sea Nymphs, Calliope, Apollo, etc…or other Gods and Goddesses. What’s more, if these are to be mentioned, may it be with the view to caricature them, as they are only demons.”

9

The Roman Catholic Church was among the richest landowners in North Africa. In Mexico, they had silver mines and sugar refineries, in Paraguay, tea and cacao plantations, carpet factories and also control over the food supply as they owned the cattle and “exported 80,000 mules per year.” “And to make an even bigger profit, the fathers did not hesitate to defraud the state treasury, as seen in the well known story of the so-called boxes of chocolate unloaded at Cadix which were full of gold powder.” 10Ibid, pp. 68

January 7th, 1960, in Rome, there was a summit conference that took place that was intended to bring a peaceful co-existence between the soviets and the eastern bloc and the west. In the USA, Cardinal Spellman (who has numerous photos in magazines and newspapers standing beside important world leaders) urged Catholics to show open hostility to Mr. Khrushchev, when he visited the United States and was a guest here. Cardinal Ottaviani, Secretary of the Holy Office, delivered a most vehement speech at the basilica of “Saint Marie-Majeure” against the Soviets and the Western Powers who were involved in the peace project. 11

One might ask what purpose war serves when an institution such as the Catholic Church is striving for world rule. Nothing known to humanity changes lives, creates devastation and opens people up for domination more than war. Both sides of the conflict are aided and funded by those intent on establishing world domination and the creation of a slave state. At the end of the war, all countries concerned are at the debt of the international bankers, much of these owned, and operated by the Vatican. This is not to disregard others who are working for the same objectives. All parties involved use each other to achieve these ends, along the way, both despise each other out of greed and seek each other’s destruction so if the goal is achieved, the winner takes all. What they all have in common is the worship of the same “god.”

Al-Fawaa'id By Imaam Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah
Posted by: abdulwalee - 11-11-2007, 08:08 PM - Forum: "And remind for reminding benefit the believers - Replies (3)

<b></b>

Points of Benefit from the Book Al-Fawaa'id

1. How can anyone who has common sense trade Paradise and what is in it for the pleasure of one hour?

2. When you fear the creation, you feel repelled by it and run away from it, but when you fear the Creator, you feel close to Him and run towards Him.

3. If knowledge without action were of benefit, why did Allaah condemn the scholars of the People of the Book? And if action without sincerity were of benefit, why did He condemn the hypocrites?

4. Repel the thought, for if you don’t, it becomes an idea. So repel the idea, for if you don’t it will become a desire. So fight against that (desire), for if you don’t, it will become a determination and a passion. And if you don’t repel that, it will become an action. And if you don’t replace it with its opposite, it will become a constant habit. So at that point, it will be difficult for you to change it.

5. When a decreed matter occurs to Allaah’s ‘abd (slave), which he dislikes, then he should have six perspectives about it

First: The Perspective of Tawheed: And that Allaah is the One who decreed it and willed it and created it. And whatever Allaah wills comes to pass, and whatever He doesn’t will doesn’t come to pass.

Second: The Perspective of Fairness: And that He ruled this event to occur in the past and that there is fairness in His Divine ordainment.

Third: The Perspective of Mercy: And that Allaah's mercy with regard to this thing which He decreed supercedes His anger and vengeance

Fourth: The Perspective of Wisdom: And that it was Allaah’s infinite Wisdom that brought that about. He did not decree it in vain nor did He divinely execute it for no purpose.

Fifth: The Perspective of Praise: And that to Allaah belongs the complete and entire praise for that thing that was decreed, from all perspectives of it.

Sixth: The Perspective of Worship to Allaah (‘Ubudiyyah): And that he is a pure worshipper of Allaah from every standpoint. His Master’s Rulings and Decrees occur to him by virtue of his being Allaah’s possession and slave. So Allaah administers him under His decreed rulings just as He administers him under His religious rulings. So it (i.e. the decreed event) becomes a place for these rulings to occur to him.

6. Little success (from Allaah), bad views, unawareness of the truth, corruption of the heart, laziness in making dhikr, wasting time, distaste for the creation, estrangement between the servant and his Lord, the prevention of the supplication from being answered, hardening of the heart, the termination of blessing from ones provision and lifespan, the prevention of knowledge, being covered in debasement, humiliation at the hands of the enemy, constricting of the chest, prolonged grief and sorrow, a wretched life of poverty, and a gloomy state of being are all produced from sins and neglecting to remember Allaah just as crops are produced from water and burning from fire. And the opposites of these things are produced from obedience to Allaah.

7. If your mind would free itself from the governorship of your desires, the state would return back to it.

8. You have entered into the abode of desires, so you have put your life at stake.

9. It was once to said to one devout worshipper of Allaah: "Until when will you continue to exhaust your soul?" So he responded: "It is its relaxation that I seek."

10. The women of this world were made beautiful to those who can see in order to test which of them prefers them over the women of the Hereafter. So whoever knows the extent of differences, he will choose what deserves to be chosen
