In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

I ONCE WAS LOST, BUT NOW AM FOUND!! MASHALLAH! SUBHANA ALLAH SUBHANA ALLAH!

It's been a year and a half since my reversion back to my original faith-Islam, I became interested in religion 3 years ago and started out as a Muslim (since I was born one) and thought I was a Christian until evidences became clear to me, and erradicated the lies and opened my eyes to the truth. All praises and thanks be to Allah who guided me by the Qu'ran and countless other sources to the ONE TRUE FAITH, the faith of Adam, Noah, Lot, Abraham, Joseph, Jacob, Moses, Jesus, David, Soloman and Muhammed (peace be upon them all, and peace be upon the phophets i didnt mention).

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SO why is it that Christains believe in the Trinity, That God is three in one, if Allah/God revealed to us that this is not so?

Why do Christains believe in the trinity, that God is three in one, if Jesus spoke the opposite??

Allah reveals the truth about Jesus:

O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and his word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers, and say not "Three"----Cease! (it is) better for you!----Allah is only One God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that he should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as Defender.

The Messiah will not scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured angels. Who scorneth His service and is proud, all such will He assemble unto Him:

Then, as for those who believed and did good works, unto them will He pay their wages in full, adding unto them of His bounty; and as for those who were scornful and proud, them will He punish with a painful doom.

And they will not find for them, against Allah, any protecting friend or helper.

O mankind! Now hath a proof from your Lord come unto you, and We have sent down unto you a clear light; As for those who believe in Allah, and hold fast unto Him, them He will cause to enter into His mercy and grace, and He will guide them unto Him by a straight road.

(The Meaning if the Glorious Qur'an 4:171-176)

Jesus made it clear that he is not God:

"Why do you call me God? No one is God but God alone." (Mark 10:18)

"I can do nothing of my own authority" (John 5:30)

"I do as the Father has commanded me." (John 14:31)

Allah says in the Qur'an:

"The similtude of Jesus Before Allah is as that of Adam: He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be": And he was. The truth (comes) From thy Lord alone: So be not of those who doubt" (Qur'an 3:59-60)

If God was three or a Trinity, why would Jesus command himself to do anything, why would he denounce himself being called God, and why would Jesus say that God is One-Alone without partner?? The Qu'ran and the Bible confirm this, so why do Christains believe contrary to there own book and teachings????

 A two part question
Posted by: voice of reason - 09-21-2006, 02:06 AM - Forum: Islam - Replies (55)

Question #1 I have an understanding that the Quran is complete and fully detailed is this true? From what I have read in the Quran.

Question #2 If this is so then why the Hadith and Sunnah this is quite illogical and make no sense. If the Quran is complete and fully detailed then there is no use at all for the Hadith and Sunnah.

Thank you to all who respond this is a very logical problem such as "This picture is ALL red." "Yet there is a little green on it." Then it cannot logically be possible that it is ALL red.

Same with the Quran if it is ALL complete and ALL detailed then the Hadith and the Sunnah are not needed, otherwise the Quran is not ALL complete and detailed.

Again thanks for addressing this complex issue.

Peace to all,

 What to expect from prayer?
Posted by: voice of reason - 09-21-2006, 01:05 AM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (14)

I tend to think logically, logic which is axiomatic, like math 2+2=4 no matter what objects designate numbered. Some things are logical and contradictions and paradoxes do not really exist except on paper. Take this for an example Something cannot be all red but yet have some green on it. Otherwise it is not ALL red.

That just covers a little of how I think. If I were to pray to a tree and received no reponse of ANY kind why would I pray to this tree?

If I were to pray to a statue and received no response at all, why would I continue to pray to this statue?

If I were to pray to a man across the world and did not receive any communication back why would I pray to this man?

If I were to pray to a spirit or a god and received no communication back why would I continue to pray to this being?

If Allah exists and has spoken to others then why am I any different? Does Allah pick favorites? That would be human bias.

I believe IF Allah exists then he gave me the reason I have. Therefore I am under no obligation to believe hearsay from someone else that told me Allah spoke to them.

This is extremely unfair hearsay is not accepted in a court of law because it is illogical. My reason then tells me that I should not accept hearsay evidence of any kind from any person. I may believe that person because they have shown to be honest but I cannot be absolute in my belief.

When I have prayed I have heard no response not physically or internally. Nothing at all. Perhaps if Allah exists I am not chosen, so He does not respond to me. All is predestined if Allah is an omnipotent being.

Perhaps I am predestined to be destroyed?

That is truly sad though, because I have sought after a god I have searched, and asked, and prayed for answers. Though no response.

I thought this to be a good healthy discussion because I was posed this question and that was my answer above in short. I can dialogue in much deeper detail.

Thanks an peace to all who respond,

Canadian was falsely accused, panel says

Bismillah

This morning I read this article on MSNBC, wasnot much astonished. I ask those who beleive that 9/11 was done by muslim terrorists, or that guantanimo is just, or any of the so claimed american war against islamic terrorists and fachism, and his war to protect the americans from muslim fachists, what do u think now ???

TORONTO, Sept. 18 - Canadian intelligence officials passed false warnings and bad information to American agents about a Muslim Canadian citizen, after which U.S. authorities secretly whisked him to Syria, where he was tortured, a judicial report found Monday.

The report, released in Ottawa, was the result of a 2 1/2-year inquiry that represented one of the first public investigations into mistakes made as part of the United States' "extraordinary rendition" program, which has secretly spirited suspects to foreign countries for interrogation by often brutal methods.

The inquiry, which focused on the Canadian intelligence services, found that agents who were under pressure to find terrorists after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, falsely labeled an Ottawa computer consultant, Maher Arar, as a dangerous radical. They asked U.S. authorities to put him and his wife, a university economist, on the al-Qaeda "watchlist," without justification, the report said.

 Islamic Forum?
Posted by: Niema Shaheed - 09-19-2006, 06:03 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

As Salaamu Alaikum,

It was my understanding that this website is an Islamic forum, and I sincerely enjoy getting and reading the messages. But I seem to be getting a lot of message notifications from "dattaswami" which apprear to be Hindu. This is confusing, and seems to be "preaching" for the Hindu religion. There doesn't seem to be a thread, or exchange of information, but rather just a question s/he poses and then an answer that s/he posts.

I have really enjoyed the exchanges with Christians, and Jazakallah to those who respond with so much restraint, knowledge, and intelligence. But, if I wanted information on the Hindu faith, I would go to a Hindu website! Perhaps "dattaswami" is confused as to where s/he should be posting this type of information.

If I am wrong here, may Allah forgive my ignorance.

Between duty and God which is more important?
Posted by: dattaswami - 09-19-2006, 04:09 PM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (9)

Between duty and God which is more important?

This depends on your stage in the spiritual path. There is nothing to decide here. An ordinary human being will do the worldly duties only. Even if you advice to leave such duties, he will not leave because he cannot leave. For Sankara even though His mother asked him to do worldly duties, He left them and dedicated Himself to God only. Therefore, the soul does according to its spiritual state and inherent interest. Finally the interest decides the selection. Therefore you cannot have universal selection.
