I'd like to share with you all today this poem I wrote a few weeks ago. I originally wrote it in Urdu, and gave it to a sister, from whom I have learnt the essence of being a Muslim, learnt to pray from my heart, and thus, learnt to fall in love with my Deen, and Allah. She also taught me poetry, and helped me a lot to improve my Urdu, which was really rusty from when I learnt it about 17-18 years ago! She got married last week, and is stepping into a new life. Please make dua's for her that Allah make it all easy for her inshallah. Anyways, I just translated the poem into English, so inshallah more people can benefit from it. Please excuse my translation if it is not the best. I'd share the Urdu version too for the Urdu speakers of this forum (who may be able to translate it better), but that version is not mine any more. Anyways, here is the translated version...


MORNING SOUNDS



Early morning some sounds echoed


Someone was calling out to me,


But not by my name.


Was someone calling out to me,


Or just making a declaration?


When my eyes opened, I saw


There was no one in the house.


When I checked by touching,


The alarm clock hadn't gone off


And there was darkness all around.


Listening intently, the voice came again.


Again someone was thinking of someone.


Then I thought of him too.


There was darkness all around,


Yet I wanted to go meet him.


I thought of him and said out him name.


Even in darkness, everything became visible.


I threw my blanket off the bed


And started standing on my feet,


When someone started whispering,


"You are very tired,


You are very sleepy.


What are you doing?


Sleep. Its still night.


There is darkness all around."


The morning sounds echoed again.


"Come for prayers. Come for prayers"


These sounds were calling out to me.


"Come to flourish.


Come to flourish."


Shaitan started whispering again,


"These sounds are not calling you.


The caller is someone going crazy.


You don't have to do anything.


You don't have to ruin your sleep."


"Prayer is better than sleep."


Now who should I listen to?


"Prayer is better than sleep."


On one side, Allah's Callings.


On one side, Shaitan's whisperings


"Allah is the Greatest."


I finally got my answer.


"There is no God but Allah."


I went to perform wudhu


And prayed my Fajr prayer.


I thank You Allah,


Today I'm alive.


I thank You Allah,


Today I'm well.


Today I have Allah in my soul!

'Muslim Representatives' for a Dead Kaffir from Vatican City

Recently a well known Kaffir, named the 'Pope' died in the vicinity of the Vatican City. He was a Kaffir who worked arduously in line with the U.S. agenda of legitimizing the Jewish occupation of Muslim Land under the slogan of 'inter-faith dialogue' and the 'Peace Process'.


This Kaffir's death is meaningless and insignificant to the Islamic Ummah who witness hundreds of her own brethren being slaughtered on a daily basis. So why then were there numerous representatives from the 'Muslim rulers' attending this Kaffir's funeral?


Where were these 'Muslim Representatives' during the funeral of the assassinated Sheikh Ahmed Yassin?


Where were these 'Muslim Representatives' when the mass graves were being dug up for the helpless victims of the Jenin Massacre?


Where were these 'Muslim Representatives' after the U.S. army's bloodthirsty onslaught of the Muslim citizens in Fallujah?


What were these 'Muslim Representatives' doing during the carpet bombing and bloody slaughter of those from the Islamic Ummah who tried to defend their dignity and honour in Afghanistan?


How many tears did these 'Muslim Representatives' shed after witnessing the brutal and inhumane images of Abu Gharib and Guantanamo Bay?


Indeed these 'representatives' are mourning and attending the funeral of a Kaffir…. A Kaffir who they clearly held more dearly to their hearts than any of the aforementioned from our noble Islamic Ummah.


Allah SWT says: The parable of those who disbelieve their Lord (the kuffar) is that their actions are as ashes on which the wind blows furiously on a tempestuous day….T.M.Q. 14:18

President Talabani : An American insult to the cheated

The appointment of Talabani as the new Iraqi president showcases several things:


Firstly that the United States does not want the Kurds to have their own independent state. By appointing Talabani as president this ploy will serve as a way to satisfy the Kurdish element and have them truly affiliated as part of an American 'Iraqi' State, removing any aspirations for 'independence'.


Secondly Talabani's appointment is a clear snub by the U.S. towards the Shia element who so clearly control larger support than the Kurds and Talabani . The decision to sideline the Shia from the presidency indicates that the U.S. do not fully trust the loyalty of the Shia element, especially due to their old links to the British establishment.


So what does this really indicate?


Firstly that the Kurds who have been misled, used, slaughtered and sacrificed on numerous occasions for the U.S. interests are still not deserving of a state of their own in the eyes of America.


Secondly, that the Shia who followed behind the tail of America with the Kufr agenda of democracy and majority rule, have been humiliated and degraded by the U.S. by being presented the conciliatory position of prime minister


Yaa Muslimeen! The issue is not of Shia, Kurd, Sunni or Iraqi. Rather the issue is one and the same- the enemy, the United States of Kufr is happy to toy and play with the Islamic Ummah at her own will. It is imperative that those from Iraq who ran behind America's tail expecting loyalty from the Shayateen, wake up and join those in the struggle against the Kuffar.


Yaa Muslimeen! The only acceptable leader for Iraq is not Kurdish, Sunni or Shia. Yaa Muslimeen! The only acceptable leader for Iraq should be a Muslim ruling by the Law of Allah (SWT).


Muslim narrated that Abu Hazim said: "I accompanied Abu Hurairah for five years and heard him narrate that the Prophet SAW said: The Prophets ruled over the children of Israel, whenever a prophet died another prophet succeeded him, but there will be no prophet after me. There will be Khulafa'a and they will number many. They asked: What then do you order us?. He said: Fulfill the bay'ah to them one after the other and give them their due. Surely Allah will ask them about what He entrusted them with."

The recent reports of fighting in Riyadh between the Saudi forces and the so called 'insurgents' lasted a whole three days.


If reports are to be believed the 'insurgents' numbered no more than twenty men.


- Three whole days?


- Only twenty or so men against hundreds from the Saudi force?


Are we really to believe that these were ‘insurgents’ or in fact a small army of Muslims fighting against a tyrannical regime hell – bent on serving the agenda of the United States instead of Allah SWT?


Dubious is the word that comes to mind….

More than 10,000 Palestinians have demonstrated and warned of a "third uprising" if rightist Jews hoping to derail plans for a Gaza withdrawal try to enter a sensitive Jerusalem site on Sunday.


Israeli police have increased their presence in Jerusalem and have said they would bar Jewish activists from carrying out plans to enter the site revered by Muslims as al-Haram al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary) and by Jews as the Temple Mount.


Israel's Internal Security Minister Gideon Ezra told Israel Radio he feared Jewish activists would seek to provoke tensions at the site "to stop the disengagement", Israel's plan to remove Jewish settlers from Gaza in July.


More than 10,000 Palestinian demonstrators, some hoisting a


large diorama of the shrine, held three protests in the West Bank town of Ram Allah and the Gaza Strip on Saturday.


"If the Zionists defile al-Aqsa mosque, they will be planting the seeds of the third uprising," a senior Hamas resistance leader, Nizar Rayyan, said in Gaza.


Abandoning the truce


Resistance fighters had threatened on Friday to abandon a de-facto three-month-old truce in a 4-1/2 year uprising against Israel if the Jewish activists tried to enter the shrine, the site of the al-Aqsa mosque, Islam's third holiest site.

Palestinians launched their uprising in 2000 after Sharon, then Israel's opposition leader, toured the Jerusalem shrine compound.


Police have barred visits by non-Muslims and specifically by


the far-right Jewish group Revava to the shrine and took up


positions on Saturday to enforce it.

The shooting has shattered the prospects of peace


Israeli occupation troops have fired at a group of Palestinian youths in the southern Gaza Strip, killing three teenagers.


The incident on Saturday in the Rafah refugee camp, located along the border with Egypt, shattered weeks of calm and added to tensions surrounding plans by Jewish radicals to march on a disputed holy site in Jerusalem.


Ali Abu Zaid, a 22-year-old Rafah resident, said a group of boys were playing football in an open area when the ball was kicked toward the border fence. "The kids ran after it, and that's when we heard gunfire," he said. Palestinian hospital officials said the two dead youths were 14 and 15 years old.


The Israeli army said a group of youths had entered an unauthorised area near the border and ignored warning shots to stop. The shots were fired by forces patrolling the area in an armed vehicle, the army said.


The Rafah refugee camp has been a frequent flashpoint of fighting since violence broke out in late 2000. The Israeli army frequently operates in the area to halt weapons smuggling across the border.


But violence has dramatically dropped since Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Palestinian leader Mahmud Abbas declared a cease-fire on 8 February.


Deadly attack


Since the 8 February declaration, a total of 13 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with Israel. But Saturday's shooting was the deadliest single incident. Five Israelis have also died during the period, all killed in a 25 February bombing outside a Tel Aviv nightspot.


Hamas pledged to avenge the


death of the three teens


The chief Palestinian peace negotiator, Saib Uraiqat, said the shooting threatens peace prospects. "Every time we have such a violation of the cease-fire it really endangers the fragile quiet," he said. "We urge the Israeli government to refrain from any acts that could endanger the cease-fire."


Hamas, the largest Palestinian resistance group, pledged to avenge the deaths of the three teens. "The Palestinian people cannot stay silent in the face of this crime and it cannot pass without punishment," said Said Siyam, a Hamas leader in Gaza.


He would not comment on whether Hamas remained committed to the truce. Muhammad Hindi, leader of the Islamic Jihad resistance group, called the shooting an "ugly crime" and said the Palestinians would have to "reevaluate" the cease-fire.


But he too declined to say whether the truce would be called off. Shortly after the shooting, Palestinians fired five mortar shells toward Jewish settlements in Gaza, causing no injuries, the army said.

Just want to recommend a movie, can be found on DVD, called 'The Message'. I am probably one of the last to see it [img]style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif[/img] , since it is already 30 years old.


It is directed by Moustapha Akkad. Anthony Quinn plays the role of Hamza.


It is of the early days of Islam, persecution of the early Muslims forcing them to eventually leave Mecca and go to Medina.


Truly a very touching movie and just imagining how it was for the first Muslims, that for the first time heard Bilal calling out Adhan, it is just overwhelming mashaAllah.

In today's khutbah, the khateeb told a story about a young muslim who was involved in a car accident. He was listening to loud music at the time. The accident was really bad and he was in coma for a few days. After a few days in come, he woke up and faintly started saying something. his parents, who were with him at that time, thought that he was saying the kalima with his last breath... They moved closer to him to hear what he was saying... only to find that he was singing the song that was playing in his car just before the accident... and with that, the boy passed away...
