  Trinity analogies.
Posted by: wel_mel_2 - 09-27-2007, 04:23 AM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (24)

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

Our new member "fisher of men" forces me to start this thread after reading his analogy when he was trying to explain Trinity, so I thought to collect most of the "Trinity analogies" that were invented by Christians to examine them, and insh a Allah to refute each and every one of them. So here we go... <b>BISMILLAH.</b>

<b>Analogy #1:</b> (as explained by "fisher of men" On this thread.

Quote:* Consider the molecules of water, H20. Now also consider <b>the different forms this same molecule may take. Ice, water, and steam</b>. Each are different in their own ways, have different characteristics and each serve different purposes

I do agree that water will remain always water even in three separate forms (<b>i.e. Ice, water, and steam</b>) but please bear in mind that we know very well that <b>the component of water remains the same as well in all the three states </b>, H2O/ 2 atoms of hydrogen, and one atom of oxygen. Only the forms keep on changing, but the component of water remain the same. The question now is, <b>are the constituents of the persons in the Trinity are same? Obviously NOT.</b>

1- God Almighty and the Holy Spirit are <b>made of Spirit </b> but Jesus is <b>made of flesh and bone </b> (the component is not the same)

2- Jesus <b>needed to eat in order to survive</b>, God the Father <b>does not require to eat at all </b> (they are not the same)

3- If by any chance, one of the components of water was removed, then <b>it is not WATER anymore</b>. Are you trying to tell us that when Jesus died on the Cross, <b>there was no GOD anymore?</b>

<b>Analogy # 2:</b>

Quote:Time is past, present, and future. There are not three times

Christians usually say, the Father <b>IS GOD</b>, Jesus <b>IS GOD</b>, and the Holy Ghost <b>IS GOD</b>, on the other hand, we cannot not say that the past <b>IS TIME</b>, or present <b>IS TIME </b> etc… but rather we say, <b>past is PART OF TIME</b>
. But Christians never say that Jesus is PART OF GOD. Ask any Christian the question "is Jesus God" ? They will never say no he is only part of God, they will simply say, "Yes he is God"

So shortly, this analogy might work if Christians would say that Jesus is PART OF GOD, the Father is PART OF GOD, and Holy Ghost is PART OF GOD, but this is not what they believe, they say The Father is GOD, the Son is God, and the Spirit is God.

And by the way, since Jesus is not the Father, and the Father is not Jesus, then please count with me how many Gods have we got?..... Two
is the correct answer. But Christians trying hard to prove that they worship only one God; <b>we can agree with them insh a Allah if they start practicing what they preach. </b>

Back to TIME. We do not have <b>3 times but ONE TIME</b>, but the past alone is NOT time, present alone is NOT TIME, etc... And so if Christians decides one day to say that Jesus <b>IS NOT God</b>, then we could easily use this analogy to explain Trinity, but the fact is that <b>there is no Trinitarian would ever dare to declare that Jesus is NOT FULLY God.</b>

<b>Analogy#3:</b>

Quote:I am a father, a brother and a husband at the same time. ONE AND THE SAME PERSON.

It is true, I can see myself in this example (<b>Father, brother and husband</b>)... Now the question here to Trinitarians is this:

Q: if I (as a brother for example
) told my sister a secret, will I (as a Father and Husband
) know that secret?

A: Naturally I say <b>YES</b>. But the case with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost is totally different. <b>The knowledge of the last Day was left to the Father ONLY</b>, which means that <b>the Son and the Holy Ghost are not knowledgeable enough to know the SECRET and the time of the Last Day</b>. So how can you call any of them God?

Matthew 24:36

<b>But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only
.</b>

<b>Analogy# 4:</b>

Quote:Family of God: I am a father, one person, my wife is another person and our son the third person in our family, we are only ONE FAMILY and not three.

Well, that makes sense <b>ONLY if you will not bear another child</b>. Once you have another kid, then God becomes four
, just like that. So my advise to Christians not to use this analogy.

<b>Analogy# 5: </b>

Quote:An egg. (Shell, yolk and white, ONE EGG).

The problem is that according to Christians, <b>each of the persons within the Trinity is fully God</b>, so they failed to realize that the <b>yolk does not possess the fullness of the egg; neither do the white or the shell. </b>

<b>IMAGINE how Christians trying to prove their belief!!!!
</b>

So let us make it simple for our Christian friends who would like to explain the Trinity.

<b>You must describe Trinity following three simple rules which you are promoting and preaching to Non Trinitarians. THEY ARE:</b>

<b>1- God is unique is His Oneness. </b>

2- Each person of the Trinity is FULLY GOD.

3- And the Trinity itself is ETERNAL.

So, bring one analogy that can match with <b>ALL</b> the above points, or admit that this trinity is full of confusion. and as you know, <b>God Almighty IS NOT the author of confusion as the Bible states in 1 Corinthians 14:33</b>. and so in conclusion I would say that this Trinity dogma has nothing to do with God Almighty.

  'Crazy' Prices Spoil Jordan Ramadan
Posted by: SisterJennifer - 09-22-2007, 05:59 PM - Forum: Ramadan - Replies (2)

<b>AMMAN</b> — Hefty prices of foodstuffs and other essential products are casting a pall on the Jordanians' joy of Ramadan, leaving many cash-strapped people scrambling to cover expenses during the holy fasting month.

"I have five children and had to borrow money to cope with a sudden jump in food prices during Ramadan," Salem Saeed, a school teacher, told Agence France-Presse (AFP).

"I do not know what I will do when `Eid (the feast marking the end of Ramadan) comes."

Prices of dairy, poultry and other essential products have shot up between seven and 30 percent in Jordan during Ramadan.

This has left many low-and middle-income Jordanians unable to meet the needs of their families during the dawn-to-dusk fasting month.

"Greedy merchants have increased the prices without a mercy," said Saeed.

"I love the holy month, but they have spoiled our joy."

<b>Crazy</b>

Issa Salem, a public servant, blamed both merchants and the government for the "crazy" prices.

"Prices and living expenses have drastically risen because a lot of merchants exploited the high demand on food during Ramadan and the government does not monitor them," Salem said angrily.

But Haidar Murad, who heads the Amman Chamber of Commerce, said that the merchants were not to blame for the soaring prices.

"Honestly, I have to say that prices increased in Ramadan because they have surged internationally, and local merchants should not be blamed for all of this," he said.

The problem has prompted King Abdullah II to ask the government to clamp down on food price rises.

Last week, Prime Minister Maroud Bakhit urged producers to set up "public markets" to sell directly to consumers at wholesale prices to help reduce the soaring prices.

But this never helped meet the people's expectations.

"The high prices have killed us," said grocer Abu Hatem as he talked to an old woman who wanted to buy a small container of yoghurt, whose price has more than doubled in the past 10 days.

"I am afraid that people might stop buying from my shop at all because of such prices," he said.

Prices have already skyrocketed during Ramadan in several Muslim countries including Qatar, Egypt and Tunisia.

In Bangladesh, the government was selling rice at 20 percent reduced prices.

  Polish Children Vs Muslim Children

Polish Children Vs Muslim Children

John Reid, the ex-Home Secretary has predicted that more Catholic schools are needed due to influx of East European migrants. An estimated 20,000 Polish children need schools for their faith. He highlighted the growing pressure on faith school places because of the growing number of Polish Catholic children in the United Kingdom. There is a demand for Catholic school places because 95% of Polish are Catholics. Polish ambassador to the United Kingdom said that there are now so many Polish children in British schools that they should be taught Polish language, history and culture, so that they do not find themselves cut off from their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry. Many schools are recruiting Polish teachers as role models. Churches have started Sermons in Polish language so that the Polish people can feel at home.

Muslim communities have started to arrive during the 50s, mainly from the sub-continent. They brought their cultures, languages and faith. They contributed for the British economy by paying all sorts of taxes. They built Masajid for offering prayers and community centers for the education of their young generations. Not a single politician ever thought and campaigned for state funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers as role models. Instead, Muslim children are being discouraged to learn and speak their mother tongues even at home by the politicians. Even Imams are being forbidden to use Urdu in their sermons, inspite of the fact that majority of British Muslims are from Pakistan. Bilingualism should be encouraged because it is enormously beneficial to children development. It should be introduced as early as nursery level. I believe the result would be amazing. It is absurd to send bilingual children to schools with monolingual teachers.

Muslim schools in Britain emerged as an answer to a major challenge that Muslim communities faced in the West on how to educate their children and inculcate Islamic values and morals among them. Muslim children have been suffering academically, linguistically, socially, emotionally and spiritually for the last 50 years. They have been in a wrong place at a wrong time. The state schools have become exam factories. They have no time and energy to educate children. Institutional racism, incivility, drug, crime, binge drinking, anti-social behaviour, high rate of abortion and an increase in teenage pregnancies are common part of life in state schools. Muslim parents do not want their children to be integrated into such barbarity. Muslim children need to learn to be proud of their Islamic, cultural and linguistic Identities without fear of discrimination and bullying. There are over 500,000 school age Muslim children and only 4% of them attend Muslim schools. There is a need for more Muslim schools but they are being asked by the politicians to open their doors for the children of other faiths or no faiths. The demand for Muslim schools is immense and every school has a lengthy waiting lists. Muslim communities do not have enough resources to set up schools for each and every Muslim child. There are hundreds of state schools where Muslim children are in majority, in my opinion all such schools may be designated as Muslim community schools.

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

This is one of the best articles I've red so far. Christians should not be called with this name, they should be called NAZARENES, Subhan Allah, the Qur'an described them with this name.

Quote:It would probably come as a shock to most Christians today that <b>the original followers of Jesus were never called Christians. They were called Nazarenes
</b>

Quote:It was in Antioch that the words "Christian" was first used [4], to describe the followers of Paul! (Acts 11:25)

  The Holy Ghost.
Posted by: wel_mel_2 - 09-18-2007, 07:44 AM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (4)

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

As requested by brother Hadji, I am going to try my best insh a Allah to present the real picture of "<i>the Holy Ghost</i>" according to the Biblical account.

Brother Hadji asked on the other thread:

Quote:Why do Christians regard the Holy Ghost as a part of God? Is there anything in the Bible that states that?

No brother, the Bible <b>never claimed that the Holy Ghost is God Almighty</b>, and that doesn't mean that the Holy Ghost in the Bible is considered to be even part of God.

Now Christians told me that the HOLY GHOST is the SPIRIT OF GOD ALMIGHTY, and so while reading their Bible I've found that the purpose of this "<i>Spirit</i>" is to be breathed by God Almighty into our mother's womb so that we can come into existence.

When you send your Spirit, <b>they are created</b>, and you renew the face of the earth. (Psalm 104:30)

This is just one of the roles of the Holy Spirit found in the Bible.

Now, if it is really God or part of God, then the Holy Ghost should process the qualities of God Almighty, (i.e. All knowing, All seeing, All powerful, etc) however,<b> this is not the case</b>. If you read the Bible, you will notice that the Holy Spirit is not All knowing and so you can easily conclude that it is not God Almighty.

Matthew 24:36

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, <b>but my Father only</b>

Here we can see that the disciples of Jesus were asking him about the Day of Judgment, or the end of time and Jesus responded that <b>only the Father knows about this day</b>, indicating that Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not All knowing and so not one with God as Christians claim.

I remember that I've brought this point to our Christian guests here sometimes ago but they argue that Jesus <i>AS A MAN </i> didn't know about the hour, but in as a Divine he knew perfectly. Now I am asking, <b>how about the Holy Spirit?</b> Jesus claims that NO ONE but the Father knows about the last day, which means that <b>even the Holy Spirit doesn't know</b> therefore, it is not God or part of God!!

The Bible said:

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, <b>and there is none
like me</b>, (Isaiah 46:9)

<b>None means no one</b>, and according to the Christians, <b>the Holy Spirit is a person/one </b>, and in the above verse, God Almighty declared loud and clear that <b>NO ONE is like Him</b>, including the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Furthermore, the Holy Spirit is <b>heavenly being</b> created by God, and God says in the Bible that <b>nothing in HEAVEN is compared to him</b>, proving that the Holy Ghost is not God or part of God.

For <b>who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD?</b> who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD? (Psalms 89:6)

Of course this is not it, there are still some verses talking about the Holy Spirit and its roles, there are other verses speaks of "<i>different Holy Spirits</i>", there are plenty of other verses showing that the Holy Spirit is just the creation of God Almighty etc.. but I guess we wait for awhile till we get some feedbacks and comments.

Evidence against Muslim charity appears fabricated

An official summary of an FBI-wiretapped conversation contains anti-Semitic slurs that do not appear in the actual transcript.

By Greg Krikorian

Times Staff Writer

02/26/07 "Los Angeles" -- - -When the Bush administration shut down the nation's largest Muslim charity five years ago, officials of the Dallas-based foundation denied allegations it was linked to terrorists and insisted that a number of accusations were fabricated by the government.

Now, attorneys for the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development say the government's own documents provide evidence of that claim.

In recent court filings, defense lawyers disclosed striking discrepancies between an official summary and the verbatim transcripts of an FBI-wiretapped conversation in 1996 involving Holy Land officials.

The summary attributes inflammatory, anti-Semitic comments to Holy Land officials that are not found in a 13-page transcript of the recorded conversation. It recently was turned over to the defense by the government in an exchange of evidence.

Citing the unexplained discrepancies, defense lawyers have asked U.S. District Judge A. Joe Fish in Dallas to declassify thousands of hours of FBI surveillance recordings, so that full transcripts would replace government summaries as evidence.

The demand could force government prosecutors to either declassify evidence it has fought to keep secret or risk losing a critical portion of evidence in its case.

In December, the judge denied a defense request to declassify the documents so they could be examined by defendants in the case. Seven former foundation officials, six of them U.S. citizens, have been charged with funneling money to overseas charities controlled by Hamas, which the U.S. has designated as a foreign terrorist organization. The defendants have denied the charges.

Though defense attorneys already have government clearances that allow them to review the material, under the federal Classified Information Procedures Act they have been prohibited from sharing it with their clients. And unless the act's rules are declared unconstitutional in the case, defense attorneys argue, the defendants will have no way of proving that the statements attributed to them were misconstrued or never made.

The recently declassified summary of surveillance on April 15, 1996, asserts that during a conversation wiretapped by the FBI, Holy Land's former executive director Shukri Abu Baker told two associates there was no need to worry about the foundation being unfairly targeted because U.S. courts were not under the control of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee or its sponsor, "the government of the demons of Israel."

The summary portrays Baker as raging against "the Jews of the world" and as claiming that Jews have no allegiance to anything but "their pockets and to preserving the illegal Zionist state of Israel ."

Additional anti-Semitic comments the FBI summary attributed to Baker or Ghassan Elashi, Holy Land 's former board chairman, included:

• "Their [Jews'] only purpose here in the U.S. is to purchase as many politicians as possible and to warp the way the American Christians feel and think not just about the Christian religion but mainly about the Palestinian people … and to rob as much money as possible from American taxpayers for the illegitimate excuse of protecting and preserving the chosen people of God."

• "Even Jesus Christ had called the Jews and their high priests … the sons of snakes and scorpions."

• "I am confident that in the end justice, and not the Jews, will prevail. I believe that there is still justice in America ."

None of those quotes was contained in a 13-page transcript of the conversation, defense lawyers said in their motion to expand access to classified evidence.

"Throughout the run-up to trial, the government has insisted that the defendants can learn what is contained in the [surveillance] intercepts by reading the so-called 'summaries' of those intercepts," defense attorneys said in their papers.

But the recently disclosed transcript, attorneys said, shows that "not only are the summaries so inaccurate and misleading as to be useless," but that the "author of the attached summary has cynically and maliciously attributed to the defendants racist invective and inculpatory remarks the defendants never uttered."

"It is appalling that such summaries even exist, much less that the government represented that this is all our clients need to know in order to defend themselves."

Defense lawyers declined to comment about their motion. A federal prosecutor said the government would respond with its own filings to the court.

How the summary and transcript could be so different was unclear, though experts in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act arena theorized that its top-secret nature may have led some analysts to believe that the work product would never be publicly disclosed, much less entered into evidence in a trial.

Because the court records are heavily redacted, it could not be determined who provided the summaries of the FBI wiretaps.

Other alleged discrepancies also have dogged the case. Holy Land lawyers challenged the accuracy of an FBI memo, for example, that quoted a foundation office manager as telling Israeli authorities that charitable funds were "channeled to Hamas."

But defense lawyers told the court the translation from Arabic to Hebrew to English distorted the official's original statement, and that he should have been quoted as saying, "We have no connection to Hamas."

The Holy Land Foundation was closed weeks after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York and the Pentagon. The action followed years of efforts by Israel and many pro-Israeli groups in the U.S. to close the foundation on the grounds that it was a fundraising front for Hamas.

The former Holy Land officials facing trial are charged with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists by sending money, goods and services to Palestinian charities controlled by Hamas, a U.S.-designated terrorist group since 1995.

Some Advice on the Treatment of Children
Posted by: SisterJennifer - 09-15-2007, 12:55 PM - Forum: Woman and family - Replies (2)

We have in the life of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) many good examples to study and follow in many aspects of our lives. The longer we study the various aspects of his life, the more we will reap the benefits.

We will learn what will benefit ourselves today as well as those who will come after us in the future. Allah says: “Indeed, you have in Allah’s Messenger the best example of conduct for those who place their hopes in Allah and the Last Day.”

We can benefit from the Prophet’s example when it comes to raising our children. If we emulate our Prophet (peace be upon him) in the way he cared for children, we will, by Allah’s grace, be successful in raising our own.

We must respect children as people. Children need respect. Unfortunately, parents often fail to show it to them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) always showed the upcoming generation that he respected them and held them in high esteem. Sa`d b. Mâlik was a small child when the Battle of Uhud took place. His father died in that battle. The Prophet (peace be upon him) approached him and said: “Sa`d b. Mâlik?” When the boy acknowledged who he was, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “May Allah bestow His blessings upon you on the death of your father.”

We can see how the Prophet (peace be upon him) treated him as he would treat an adult. He offered him the condolences that would be given to a full grown man. He did not patronize him. He informed him of what happened immediately.

We need to give more credit to the minds of our children. We should not underestimate their intelligence. We must hold them in esteem and respect their feelings and teach them in turn to have respect for others. This allows the children to develop intellectually and socially.

It is critical that we make our children accustomed to handling responsibility. Too many of us today, adults as well as children, have a tendency to shirk our responsibilities and place our burdens on others.

To prevent this, those of us who raise children must first of all help them to think positively about themselves. This will make it easier for them to handle responsibility as they get older. The Prophet (peace be upon him) took great pains to develop the character of the young people around him. Once, when the Prophet (peace be upon him) was seated, he was offered something to drink. He took it and drank from it. Seated to his right was a young boy and to his left were a number of elderly men. Since service was traditionally to the right, he turned to the boy and said: “Will you permit me to offer the drink to them first?” [sahîh Muslim]

This is how a child learns manners. It is also how he develops strength of personality and a keener intellect instead of a negative outlook and poor self opinion.

We must be just in our dealings with our children. Justice is of utmost importance to provide the child with a sense of stability. It prevents children from being jealous of one another and prevents undesirable competition between them for favor. Injustice can occur in such minor matters as kissing one child more than another or smiling at him more or giving him preference in food and clothing.

Once Bashîr gave his son al-Nu`mân a gift. He went to the Prophet (peace be upon him) so that the Prophet (peace be upon him) could be a witness to it. The Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him: “O Bashîr, do you have any other children besides him?” When Bashîr answered that he had, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked: “Did you give each of them a similar gift?” To this Bashîr answered in the negative. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Then do not ask me to be a witness for you. I will not bear witness to an injustice.” [sahîh Muslim]

We must be cordial and sometimes even playful with our children. They need merriment and play in their life within the confines of what is Islamically lawful. We should not go overboard with our play and affection so that the children become dependent upon coddling. However, we must not be so reserved as to deny the children their very natural need for affection and play. Denial of this need makes children introverted and fearful of others.

`Â’ishah relates that when she was with the Prophet (peace be upon him) as a child, she used to play with other girls who came to her. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) entered, they used to withdraw. However, he would send them back to me to play with me some more.”

Children should not be denied the right to play and have fun. Play invigorates and enlivens children as long as it is allowed within reasonable limits. It allows their personalities to form properly and encourages their emotional development.

We must strive to bring up our children for the pleasure of Allah and not just so our child can be better than others. We must encourage good behavior in our children whenever they exhibit it. Merely lecturing them is not the most effective approach. What is required is to speak to them a good word and then to be a living example for them.

This fact was fully understood by the Prophet’s Companions. One Companion relates that another Companion Wâ’il b. Mas`ûd, used to preach to them once every Thursday. A man said to him that they wish he would speak to them every day. Wâ’il replied: “I only refrain from doing so because I would hate to bore you. I give you reminders the way that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to do so with us in moderation so that we would not grow weary.” [sahîh al-Bukhârî and Sahîh Muslim]

I will conclude with the following advice given to the caliph Mu`âwiyah by one of his advisors: Once Mu`âwiyah became angry with his son Yazîd, so he shunned him. Al-Ahnaf observed, so he said to him: “O Commander of the Faithful, our children are the fruits of our hearts and the pillars who support us. We are to them as the sky overhead and the ground below their feet. If they grow angry, placate them and if they ask of you, give them. Do not be an obstacle in their lives so they loathe your existence and wish for your demise.

  Jospeph and Mary
Posted by: wel_mel_2 - 09-15-2007, 04:00 AM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (24)

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

This information is new to me and I just would like to share it with all of you, especially Christians.

Of course all of us know the Christians stand point regarding Muhammad pbuh and his marriage from Aishah RA at very young age, and so they accuse him pbuh of being <b>pedophile</b>. But subhan a Allah, <b>new information has come to light while reading the Catholic Encyclopedia </b> regarding the age of St Joseph whom they consider to be "<b>Spouse of the Blessed Virgin Mary and foster-father of Our Lord Jesus Christ</b>"

While reading chapter St Joseph in the Catholic Encyclopedia, I found the following:

Quote:"When forty years of age, Joseph married a woman called Melcha or Escha by some, Salome by others; they lived forty-nine years together and had six children, two daughters and four sons, the youngest of whom was James (the Less, "the Lord's brother"). A year after his wife's death, as the priests announced through Judea that they wished to find in the tribe of Juda <b>a respectable man to espouse Mary, then twelve to fourteen years of age, Joseph, who was at the time ninety years old</b>,
went up to Jerusalem among the candidates; a miracle manifested the choice God had made of Joseph, and two years later the Annunciation took place."

The Catholic Encyclopedia. St Joseph.

I've also found it interesting that the Catholic Encyclopedia obtained this information <b>from the early Christian writing including the Apocrypha.</b>

The Catholic Encyclopedia. Apocrypha

The Catholic Encyclopedia says in conclusion

Quote:"...<b>retained the belief that St. Joseph was an old man at the time of marriage with the Mother of God." </b>

So if our Christian friends find no difficulties in accepting "their mother of god" who was <b>12 to 14 years</b>, marrying an <b>old man of 90 years </b> more than <b>2000 years ago</b>, why they should object the marriage of our beloved prophet Muhammad pbuh from Aishah which took place about 1400 ago?

Christians <i>(especially the Catholics)</i> have got 2 options now:

1- To desist from being so redecilous for abusing our beloved Prophet pbuh and admit their mistake. OR

2- To declare that St Joseph (<b>the husband of the mother of god</b>) is a <b>pedophile and child molester.</b>

Hopefully they will go for the first option insh a Allah.
