Islamophobic David Horowitz Islamic Fascist Campaign Set for Mid-October


WASHINGTON, D.C. (MASNET) Oct. 5, 2007 - MAS Freedom (MASF), as the civic and human rights advocacy entity of the Muslim American Society (MAS) and MAS Youth will work together to educate the public about this month's newest campaign to smear Islam, "Islamo-Facism Awareness Week", set for October 22-26, 2007.


According to organizer David Horowitz, "the nation will be rocked by the biggest conservative campus protest ever - Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week, a wake-up call for Americans on 200 university and college campuses." This is an event that we must all prepare for and educate ourselves on so that we can, as a community, uphold that which is right and stand against that which is inherently wrong.


A particular objective of "Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week" is to whip up reactionary sentiment and hysteria on campuses, and to provide a rallying point to further organize a fascist student movement - spreading racism, chauvinism, and intellectual conformity to reaction; hounding progressive professors and student organizations; and creating a more repressive climate on campus.


This must be confronted and opposed on every campus where it rears its head. Indeed, all people who care anything about critical thinking and academic freedom and about the issues of war, repression, racism and the oppression of women must rally together, and seek out, confront and put this whole effort on the political defensive. Horowitz's project has to be opposed and taken as an opportunity to raise awareness of the growing danger of U.S. fascism and the reality of the fascist direction and measures being taken by those in the highest reaches of power.


An example of Horowitz's deceptive tactics are found in a Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week promotional image supposedly of an Iranian teenager being buried in preparation for a stoning, which is actually a still from a 1994 Dutch movie (as acknowledged at the end of this video clip).


While such stonings have actually taken place in areas under Islamic fundamentalist control, the use of the image demonstrates the willingness of Horowitz to lie and distort.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (MASNET) Oct. 1, 2007 - A bold and potentially dangerous amendment has been added to the U.S. Defense Authorization Bill of 2008 - and it could very well lead to a pre-emptive U.S. attack on Iran.


If you missed it, you're not alone. It's the Kyl-Lieberman amendment, named after its principle sponsors in the United States Senate (Republican Jon Kyl of Arizona and crypto-Republican Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut, who used to be , at least in name, a Democrat). The amendment, which expressed the sentiment of the Senate, was passed by an overwhelming majority of 77 to 23.


What the amendment actually means is this: The Senate urges the U.S. to formally regard the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and the Al Quds Force, as "terrorist" organizations, and to authorize the use of "military instruments" to confront Iran. This amendment to the bloated DOD authorization bill was largely created as a response to recent congressional testimony from General David Petraeus, the commander of U.S. forces in Iraq, who testified that Iran trains Iraqi insurgents and supplies them with munitions, including sophisticated bombs used against U.S. armored vehicles and convoys.


Senator Hilary Clinton, by the way, voted in favor of the amendment. Senator Barak Obama did not vote at all.


Senator Lieberman did, in fact, address the Senate to assert that the amendment calls for economic sanctions, rather than military attacks, against the Iranian military organizations. But while falling short of an all-out call for, the Kyl-Lieberman amendment is widely believed to be a measure that opens the door for a pre-emptive military attack on Tehran.


It's certainly no secret that the Bush administration is moving in the direction of war with Iran. U.S. military assets are being positioned for air strikes against suspected Iranian military (and suspected nuclear) installations, while the U.S. is busy galvanizing international support for even more stringent sanctions against that nation. Kyl-Lieberman now gives what amounts to a green light for the kind of aggression that could very well lead to a shooting war that would result in the catastrophic loss of untold human lives in the region-including, sadly, even more Americans in uniform.


I believe that any economic or military attack on Iran would only expand the tragedy, and folly, of a war in Iraq that should never have begun in the first place.


The Kyl-Lieberman amendment is regressive and dangerous, and we encourage you to contact the offices of your Senators to express our demand for no new U.S. war on the people of Iran.

CAIRO — Shy beneath her pearl-dotted veil, Zeinab clutched Reda's arm as they made their entrance as man and wife for the first time to the raucous cheers of the joyful guests.


They are among 200 couples who had gathered in a Cairo stadium to tie the knot in a mass wedding for poor Egyptians organized by an Islamic charity.


"It is firstly a religious duty," Hamdi Taha, the head of Karam al-Islam charity, told Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Thursday, September 27.


Taha, whose charity aims to promote lawful unions between men and women in a bid to save them from sin, said growing numbers of Egyptians are shying away from marriage because of the high expenses.


He warned that "not getting married can lead to deviant behavior" such as sex outside marriage.


"Celibacy in Egypt is nothing but a time bomb ready to explode and tarnish the image of my country," said the professor of communications at the prestigious Al-Azhar university.


Islam encourages marriage as the pure and legitimate way for regulating and fulfilling human instincts and desires.


The Islamic faith is against both curbing man’s desires through celibacy or giving them free rein through licentiousness and sexual permissiveness.


<b>New Weds</b>


With joyful eyes, the new brides and grooms made their way to a rug-covered floor to a singer's repetitive chants and applause of the relatives.


Several thousand family members packed onto the stadium benches watched as loved ones celebrated their union.


Mustafa Saad, an economics graduate, looks ecstatic while sitting beside his bride Naglaa Hamdi.


"We received a kitchen with appliances, a bedroom set and curtains," said an excited Naglaa, her hair hidden beneath a white headcover like the vast majority of the brides.


Abdelsalam Ahmed 32, and his bride, Sahar Ettawwab, 26, say there was no chance that they could have got married without receiving financial assistance.


"Maybe in 10 years' time," said Ahmed with a shrug of the shoulders.


Tradition dictates that a man must offer his wife-to-be gold jewellery, pay the dowry, buy most of the furniture and also find housing before a father accepts to let his daughter go.


Such a financial tall order for young couples deeply affected by high rates of unemployment often means that tying the knot has to take a backseat in the list of life's priorities.


"We offer everything from lingerie to the wedding dress, so that nothing can prevent the marriage," said Ibrahim Higazi, one of Karam al-Islam's patrons.


Since 2002, the Islamic charity has organized collective weddings for thousands of young Egyptians.


Only this year, the charity helped 2,300 couples across the country, including around 100 Coptic couples, to tie the knot.


The charity says it received applications from 6,000 couples but that it gives priority to the poorest and to orphaned young women in a society where a traceable lineage is valued.


"We even had a 42-year-old bride this year," said one of the organizers.


"And look, we even have disabled couples," he said pointing to Mustafa, who was paralyzed by polio, and his bride Naglaa, whose arm was amputated after a work accident.

Misconceptions raised by a lost Nazarine


Q. 1st. I read in a newspaper that 15% of the Quran speaks about the Messiah, I also read in the English translations of the meanings of Quran that Mohamed believed in Jesus, Ibraheem and all other prophets as well as their scriptures that preceded Quran. Given the previously mentioned, how come Quran accepts some of the teachings contained in the holy book such as miracles performed by Jesus, his infallibility, that he is a prophet and others. Concurrently, Quranic texts contradict a large number of teachings introduced in the holy book such as Jesus divinity as mentioned in John 1:1 and 16:3, his suffering and death in expiation of human being sins according to both OT and NT?


2nd. If Quran is an error free book, how come there are a number of sects in Islam such as the Shia and others?


3rd. Why does Islam allow polygyny while the holy bible prohibits this practice by virtue of John 2:24 and Mathew 5:19?


My soul is searching for the truth.


A. Praise be to Allah,


1st. Allah may He Be Glorified and Exalted frequently mentioned Messiah Jesus son of Mary prayer and peace be upon him in His book for numerous reasons as follows:


He is one of Allah’s Prophets who is also one of the Messengers of strong will sent to Allah’s creation and devotees. Believing in him is a must just exactly as believing in the other prophets according to Allah’s command in: “Say, "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and to the tribes, and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam)." (Quran 2:136).


Being the closest – time wise – to the nations which received messengers, people of the book, i.e Jews and Nazarine – who also received messengers – were expected to be more concerned about Dawa. Both Jews and Nazarines were aware of the advent of Prophet Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him. Their Torah and Injil contain his description. They should not deny it on the contrary they should hasten to believe in him specially that they already believe in messengers contrary to idol worshipers. Based on their violating attitude presented in rejecting Allah’s command to believe in the final messenger prayer and peace be upon him, a response to their position became necessary. They were frequently mentioned in many Ayahs of Quran with special emphasis on introducing their distortion of the monotheism and provisions.


Monotheism is the fundamental of fundamentals forming the basis of Deen (religion) and Dunia (this world). Rescue from Hell and admission into Jannah depends on monotheism. It is to declare the Oneness of Allah the One Who Is not Made of parts. Jews and Nazarines had a disparity regarding Jesus prayer and peace be upon him. The Jews claimed that he is a phony, liar and claiming falsehood on Allah who deserves to be killed! As for the Nazarines, their inter conflict is even more serious. A group of them claimed that he is Allah! Others claimed he is the son of god who is united with god in divine persons, they further explained that superficially he is the son of god while in reality he is god! In another opinion, he is the third of the divine persons that stand as the reference of the basic of monotheism as well as core of the trinity! Another group sees him as a messenger sent by Allah and a human being just like all other creations. But Allah exclusively empowered him to perform miracles and use it as argument with the servants of Allah. The latter group is correct. In light of this situation, it was necessary to clearly explain and reveal the truth in order to present Jesus in the image he deserves. Being a human being, just like all other prophets and messengers who is created from mud, does not diminish his position. Allah Chose him from among the human beings to be born without the normal interference of a male aiming to manifest Allah’s Capability to Create even in the absence of the key factors of creation.


Matter of fact, according to Allah, the creation of Jesus is just simply like that of Adam as explained in Quran: “Verily, the likeness of Jesus before Allah is the likeness of Adam. He created him from dust, then (He) said to him: "Be!" - and he was.” (Quran 3:59). This is the criterion in creating Allah’s Prophet Jesus in a miraculous manner right in front of the naked eyes of mankind whereas in fact the creation of Adam is even more miraculous.


As for Jesus prayer and peace be upon him who was born without the interference of a male father, Allah Created Adam in absence of the normal male – female process which is a stronger evidence to Allah’s Capacity regarding to creation and innovation. It is even a more effective miracle than creating Jesus prayer and peace be upon him. Due to all of the previously mentioned and other points, it was important to explain in detail the issue of Jesus prayer and peace be upon him aiming to establish the relevant facts.


Conclusion: Miracles that Allah may He be Exalted Endowed upon Jesus peace and prayer be upon him are similar to the miracles of all the other prophets. They aim to prove his position as a messenger of Allah who is saying the truth. Those who adopted a distorting position, introduced those miracles in a confusing manner to simple people. They turned his miracles into means to present him as the son of god or god himself. All this is seen as distortion to the teaching of Jesus and his message.


As such, in case all those who followed prophets turned their miracles bestowed by Allah into causes to make those prophets divine, all prophets would be turned into gods. Actually, each prophet was granted a different type of miracles that distinguish him from others. For example, mountains praised Allah with David, while they didn’t do the same with Jesus. The sea was split into two sections for Moses who also spoke with Allah and Allah Spoke with him, while Jesus didn’t. Allah Flooded the earth in response to the invocation of Noah, while this was not granted to Jesus. As for Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him, Allah advantaged him with revealing Allah’s Word. His miracle was well protected against elimination and distortion. He was sent to all mankind (and Jin this is not in the article but this should be mentioned). He was also granted different types of miracles which were not enabled to Jesus, will this makes them gods?


2nd: As for the point saying that if Quran was not distorted, why there are numerous groups such as Shia and others?


A. Quran has nothing to do with people being right or wrong in their orientation. Quran is a book of guidance to people. Actually, Allah Warned against those groups and Told us not to follow the example of other nations who divided their religions as in Quran: “Always) Turning in repentance to Him (only), and be afraid and dutiful to Him; and perform the prayer and be not of the polytheists (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.).* Of those who split up their religion (i.e. who left the true Islamic Monotheism), and became sects, [i.e. they invented new things in the religion (Bid'ah), and followed their vain desires], each sect rejoicing in that which is with it.” (Quran 30:32).


And “And be not as those who divided and differed among themselves after the clear proofs had come to them. It is they for whom there is an awful torment.” (Quran 3:105).


Allah Commanded them to adhere to His book and follow the Sunnah of His Messenger prayer and peace be upon him saying: “And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah, and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren, and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Signs clear to you, that you may be guided.” (Quran 3:103). In another Ayah, Allah Say: “you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before Allah and His Messenger, and fear Allah. Verily! Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” (Quran 49:1).


This means that be ware not to say something or do an action that violate the book of Allah and Sunnah of His Messenger prayer and peace be upon him.


Conclusion: Allah may He be Exalted warned people against being divided and Commanded them to adopt unity, however, they followed their own whims, desires and misconceptions. They also ignored the book of Allah and kept it behind their backs. They interpreted Quran and Sunnah in a way that satisfies their own goals.


But what is more important is that the point being raised against the authenticity of Quran is the same point that stands as a clear proof to its authenticity. If Muslims were not to divide, the words of Allah in this book as well as the misconception regarding the Prophethood of Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him wouldn’t have been cleared. Because Quran is the word of Allah and because Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him is His final messenger, Muslims did divide. The Messenger of Allah said in a hadeeth:


Narrated under the authority of Abi Horairah that the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him said: The Jews were divided into seventy one or seventy two groups, and the Nazarines the same, and my Ummah shall divide into seventy three groups. (reported by Sunan Termidhi).


Is there a stronger argument that can stand (even it is against this Ummah) that Quran is the word of Allah that was well Protected, not distorted, changed, twisted, taken from and that Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him who clearly foretold the condition of the Ummah 1400 years ago is the final Messenger. Who taught Mohamed about this anticipated condition?? Only Allah Can do that. Thus, Quran is not distorted that is why Muslims divided into sects, try counting them we are very close to this figure and will certainly come to it very soon. Truth Sayer Is Allah. A reader might say but the Ayahs are warning against division not stating that this shall take place. We tell the reader, we are going to try and help you overcome the language barrier. Quran is the word of Allah Who Is the Khabeer (Well Acquainted with all things), Allah in a simple format Told us about the condition of the past nations while concurrently warning us not to follow with an implication that the Ummah is going to be inflicted with this trauma of division. This is exactly how each one of the above mentioned noble Ayahs serve. And Allah Knows best.


3rd. As for the question pertaining to the permissibility of polygyny in Islam that was prohibited in the NT. Allah may He be Glorified and Exalted enacted a methodology and legislation to each messenger. Allah Sent no prophet except to call for monotheism, however, legislations came different and they even abrogated one another. What was permissible – of rulings and legislations - during Adam’s era prayer and peace be upon him was abrogated during Noah. Likes wise Mussa’s legislations were abrogated during Jesus era prayer and peace be upon all of them as established in the Ayah:


“To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way.” Quran 5:48.


Nevertheless, polygyny was not prescribed in the law revealed to Mohamed prayer and peace be upon solely. But it was permissible according to the provisions of other preceding prophet such as Jacob prayer and peace be upon him who took two wives who were even sisters according to the OT Genesis 29: 15 – 35.


Father of the Prophets peace and prayer be upon him was married to two women; namely Hajjar and Sarah. The OT contained information as well about the marriage of Allah’s Apostle David to numerous women according to Samuel 2 3:2-5. There are other examples explaining that each of the prophets applied what Allah decreed for him of rulings and provisions. Thus, we conclude that polygyny is not an exclusive practice permitted to this Ummah. As for the Nazarines prohibiting this practice, it might be for two reasons:


1. It was a part of Allah’s legislation that must be applied before the message of Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him. 2. They invented it themselves aiming to impose strict rulings just exactly as they did when they invented Monasticism. Through this practice, they were seeking to please Allah may He be Glorified.

Surat Fatiha


Q. Muslims state that Quran is the word of Allah revealed to Mohamed, will Allah Say: You (Alone) we worship, And You (Alone) we ask for help. Guide us to the Straight Path? Will Allah Ask Himself and to Himself to be guided to the straight path? To whom Allah Is directing this supplication?


A. Praise be to Allah,


1st. It is very obvious how the one who raised this question is totally unaware of the Arabic language style, methods used by eloquent people, or their writing methodology. It is also clear how the one who raised the question has no clue about the aims and instructions contained in Quran which was revealed using the language of the Arabs.


2nd. Quran is an educational and instructional book that was revealed aiming to teach Muslims what to say during their Salat, and what to use while invoking upon their Lord. Allah revealed Surat Fatiha to used as a supplication and part of Salat that must be recited in each Rakaà (prayer unit). The Surah say: All praise and thanks be to Allah, The Lord of the Worlds* The All-Merciful, the Mercy-giving* The Master of the Day of Recompense.


Actually, this is Allah’s statement about Himself, this is how Allah Describes Himself using those majestic and glorified adjectives. At the same time, Allah Teaches Muslims to recite during their Salah and supplication the following: ” You (Alone) we worship, And You (Alone) we ask for help.* Guide us to the Straight Path. *The path of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, Not (the path) of those who earned Your Anger, Nor of those who went astray.”


Thus, this Surah is seen as an educational and instructional piece from the Rub may He be Glorified and Exalted directed to His believing devotees. It is aimed that they use it during their Salah and supplication in each Raka`. This Surah contains incomparable form of eloquent, miraculous style, coupled with indepth meanings that such a brief message can not cover. In case an individual who is well versed in the Arabic language pondered and reflected upon this Surah, it shall suffice to stand as a challenge and a testimony that this Quran is revealed from Allah may He be Glorified and not the work of human beings.


The conclusion of this question, it is apparent that lacking the knowledge of Arabic language including the writing style and eloquence stand behind this inquiry. It is worth noting though, that there is a form of expression in Arabic called (Iltifaf: turning around). It means changing from the absent form to the address from and vice versa. It is used for multiple purposes including mitigating the blame, drawing the attention to the far item, bringing the scene closer to the minds, glorification or humiliation and other purposes used by the masters of the language. Thus, it is recommended for the one who raised this question to refer back and learn more about styles of the Arabic language, and forms of statements and Allah Is the Guide to success.

Q. Reported in Sahih Muslim that the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him said: When one of you wakes up from his sleep, he must perform Istinthar (enter water into his nose, then expel it) three times for shyatan spends the night over his nasopharynx

This hadeeth stands as an essential and integral part of the shield Allah Provided mankind with against Shaytan and his forms of assault. To address this point and be able to understand it, we can not do this in isolation of other instructions and information introduced in Quran and Sunnah.


Now first off what did Shaytan vow to do against mankind? According to Quran:


"Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their right and from their left, and You will not find most of them grateful and thankful."


7:17


And what else?


Iblees (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all,


38:82


To do this, what are his weapons?


And istafziz [literally means: befool them gradually] those whom you can among them with your voice (i.e. songs, music, and any other call for Allah's disobedience), make assaults on them with your cavalry and your infantry, mutually share with them wealth and children (by tempting them to earn money by illegal ways usury, etc., or by committing illegal sexual intercourse, etc.), and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.


17:64


In light of this last Ayah coupled with the following:


O Children of Adam! Let not Shaytan (Satan) deceive you, as he got your parents [Adam and Eve] out of Paradise, stripping them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and Qabeeluhu (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, We made the devils Auliyaa' (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not.


7:27


Thus, from those Ayahs we understand how Shaytan and his offspring:


• See us and we are unable to see them.


• Able to share mankind in his wealth, children, sexual intercourse..etc.


• Vowed to mislead mankind except the sincere devotees of Allah.


• Shall attack mankind from all sides.


By those noble Ayahs and major concern expressed by Allah – come to think about it – Allah Gave us full details about the antagonistic plans of Shaytan against mankind, and explained exactly his aim. But Allah Didn’t leave us without the necessary shield and means of protection, how could He?


Verily, those who are pious, when an evil thought comes to them from Shaytaan (Satan), they remember (Allah), and (indeed) they then see (aright).


7:201


The Ayahs explains that mankind when touched by shaytan they could be blinded (you see the man divorces his wife in anger, you see two people fight for no reason and a murder might take place, you see how shaytan may intercept and decorate zina..etc all this out of blindness that is caused by the touch of shaytan). But the remedy is easy, just doing remembrance.


Back to our core of interest here, what is the relation between waking up at night and washing one’s nose?


If the issue was related to merely dirt being accumulated inside the nose, the Istinthar wouldn’t have been encouraged when one wakes up during night .


Before I continue to reach into the main point of this article, in regard to Ayah 17:64 which introduced all the potential attacks, Allah Taught us through Sunnah several Duas (supplications) to be used for protection of each and every item. According to Sunnah, there is a supplication to be used before leaving the house, performing intercourse, receiving money..etc that all aim at protection against shaytan’s plots and assaults. In order not to go off topic, I will just refer to those supplications in total without detailing them. But the main point is that we are taught what to say when in order to protect ourselves against shaytan.


Come let us continue.


In another hadeeth the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam said:


Narrated under the authority of Abdullah that it was told before the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam that a man slept all night till the morning, he explained saying that this is a man who Shaytan passed urine in his ears. Reported by Ahmed. (the point here is that shaytan was able to block his ear with this urine so that the man wouldn’t wake up and perform salah). That is why Istinthat is essential upon waking up just exactly as we encouraged to say la ilaha ila Allah wahdahu la sharika lahu lahulmolk walahul hamd wa howa ala kol shayen qadeer in case we wake up in the middle of the night.


Narrated Ibn Abi Said Al Khodry under the authority of his father that the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam said when one of you yawns, one must put his hand over his mouth because Shaytan enters in (reported by Musnad Ahmad)


‏Narrated under the authority of Abi Horaira that the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam said Shaytan ties on the back of the head of any of you when he goes to sleep three knots, and presses on the place of each knots saying may you spend a long night so just sleep. As soon as one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is untied, makes ablution the second is untied, when performs Salah anther knot is untied. Thus the person starts the day active enjoying a comfortable sould otherwise, the person shall start the day with a heavy chest and lazy (reported by Musnad Ahmed).


To further understand, shaytan is created from fire that is extinguished by water of course as in the hadeeth:


Narrated by Ibraheem Ibn Khaled saying my father narrated under the authority of my grandfather Attiah saying that a man had an upsetting conversation with him that made him angry, he said when he felt angry he left then returned to us after making wodu (ablution). He said the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam said that anger is from Shaytan and Shaytan is created from fire, and fire is extinguished by wated. Thus, when one of you becomes angry, he should made wodu. Musnad Ahmed.


From all of the above mentioned, we can clearly see as established in the Ayahs of Quran that Shaytan does interfere with mankind, share their food (that is why we must say Bismllah before eating to prevent Shaytan’s interception), their money, intercourse. That Shaytan spares no time or effort or a chance to penetrate into mankind’s life and body. The nose is a passage to very important organs including the brain and lungs. If Shaytan is to be able to penetrate into those organs, mankind is in serious danger. Using Istinthar (washing with water), it becomes very difficult for shaytan to continue staying inside taking in consideration that he is created from fire.


As we know, Sunnah details Quran and teaches us what to do when. Thus, this hadeeth came in the context of how to protect one against Shaytan’s assaults and intervention.

Refuting the misconception regarding Waraqa Ibn Nawfal:


Extremists, vengeful, and ignorant continue to forge lies against the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him. They continue to hinder and discourage his call by raising misconceptions.


Of those falsities, is what they claimed – it was much better for them not to reveal their low level of forging lies and ignorance – about the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him receiving the Quran and Prophethood teaching from Waraqa Ibn Nawfal.


Refute:


Praise be to Allah,


1st: This claim is baseless, thus, similar claims shall not be acceptable without the relevant support, otherwise, they need to tell us what exactly did Mohamed receive from Waraqa? When was that? And where was that?


2nd: Waraqa did not live the time sequence of the events as mentioned in Quran throughout 23 years when it started to be revealed. Matter of fact, he died at the beginning of the message. Where was Waraqa when pagans, Jews or other groups raised questions to the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him? We see that the reply was promptly produced with a full explanation in Quran including the proper position of Quran regarding the given point. An example of this is Allah’s Saying:” The people of the Scripture (Jews) ask you to cause a book to descend upon them from heaven. Quran 4:153.


They ask you (O Muhammad) about the new moons* Say: These are signs to mark fixed periods of time for humankind and for the pilgrimage Quran 2: 189.


And Allah’s Saying:” They ask you (O Muhammad) concerning alcoholic drink and gambling. Say: "In them is a great sin, and (some) benefit for men, but the sin of them is greater than their benefit but And they ask you what they ought to spend 2:219.


In many situations, believers, Jews, hypocrites, or polytheists used to raise points that they need to understand. In other situations, questions were posed as a challenge to the Messenger in order to prove him unknowledgeable and further diminishing his position and awe. The schedule of Quran revelation was spaced in order to allow the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him receive the relevant answers to those questions according to what Allah Wants. Thus, in many positions in Quran, you will find (they ask you) or (people ask you). After this statement, the response usually follows. Counting the word (they ask you), it totaled around 15 questions raised to the Messenger throughout spaced timing. And Quran was revealed to introduce the reply. Where was Waraqa Ibn Nawfal when those questions were raised? He didn’t even live the sequence of time related to the events as mentioned in Quran during 23 years of revelation as he died at the beginning of the message??


Where was Waraqa during events that took place after his death and were introduced in Quran:


Let those liars did Warqa live the Ahzab battle as introduced in Quran?


Was he present during Hunain Day that was presented in Quran?


Did he live the story of Zaid as introduced in Quran?


Did he live the incident of falsehood against Aesha that was told in Quran?


Did he live the situation involving the Najran delegation and the Messenger’s invitation to make dua against the lying group?


Did he, and did he, and did he…..


3rd. Quran contains Ayahs that contradict the Christian creed, how would Waraqa write them? For example, in case the source of Quran was Waraqa who is a Nazarine, how would Quran deny the crucifixion of Jesus?


Quran also includes Ayahs that are not in harmony with the Jewish belief, and other Ayahs establishing the bad traits of the Jews, how would a Jew be the author? If the Messenger’s teacher was Jewish, how would Mohamed accept Jesus Prophethood when the Jews do not accept Jesus prayer and peace be upon him as a prophet?


4th. We tell those liars, if Warqa was the source of this miraculous Quran, what is the source of the materialistic miracles performed by the Messenger himself prayer and peace be upon him before the naked eyes of his people?


5th. I will only remind you with a Hadeeth reported by Sahih Bukhary stating what Waraqa Ibn Nawfal himself said when he became very old and after the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him told him about his experience (at the inception of revelation). Waraqa replied: This is the revelation that Mussa received, I wish I will be still alive when your people drive you out. The Messenger replied, will they drive me out? Waraqa said yes, no a single person presented what you introduce except that he encountered anti attitude and harm. In case I will be still alive on that day, I will provide you with a major support. Shortly after that Waraqa died. Then the revelation was delayed for a while in order to allow the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him to collect himself and get over the fright he experienced. It was also meant to have him long for the revelation. That is what actually happened. However, that was not the only incident when the revelation stopped and delayed. But rather it happened more than once. It was narrated that the Messenger prayer and peace be upon him told Jebreel peace be upon him in one of those incidents: You just came when I was really longing for you. Jebreel replied:” And me too I was really longing for you but I m not but a devotee who received orders”. In this situation the Ayah:


And we (angels) descend not except by the Command of your Lord (O Muhammad 19:64


The above mentioned sums up the whole situation.. The meeting that took place between the Prophet and Waraqa was a brief one when Waraqa asked the Messenger questions that he replied to. He then died after a short while.. Can any one who is able reasoning believe that Mohamed prayer and peace be upon him would capture and grasp the Messenge and Quran during this very short meeting?


Allah Is the truth Sayer saying:”


Those who disbelieve say: "This (the Quran) is nothing but a lie that he (Muhammad) has invented, and others have helped him at it, so that they have produced an unjust wrong (thing) and a lie."

And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon."


6.


Say: "It (this Quran) has been sent down by Him (Allah) (the Real Lord of the heavens and earth) Who knows the secret of the heavens and the earth. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."


Quran 25: 4-6
