  Why do Muslims say:
Posted by: Muslimah - 11-07-2008, 09:21 PM - Forum: Islam - Replies (22)

Bismillah

Praise be to Allah, blessing and peace be upon his final Messenger and all other messengers and prophets.

Lately some of our Nazarine members were confused as to why Muslims have to say: Ash hadu anna Mohammadan rasoullah.

Here is an explanation according to my humble understanding:

I hereby testify before You O Allah, that the man You have sent to communicate your message, the man whom You Assigned to be in charge of teaching us your limits, commands, rules and regulations, the man who is a human being whom You sent to demonstrate to us how to live, and die, what are our priorities, and concerns within Your legitimate boundaries, what to avoid, what to refrain from..etc. I take as my role model, I testify that whatever he presented, introduced, and communicated is strictly and directly from you and only you. Not only this, but also by taking this testimony, we actually enter into agreement with Allah to follow those rules, refrain from what we should refrain from, admit that what the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam as communicated to us is the word of Allah and of no one else, we accept to take it as the foundation of our life, guidance light and criterion to follow that must be applied and adopted in every aspect. Based on this agreement, we will not have an excuse on the Day of Judgment that allows us to say, we didn’t know, we were not aware. The book was, is and shall remain there and our testimony stands on this. By this testimony, we openly say that we will embrace his teachings, however, we must realise that doing a verbal testimony is not enough. I mean saying Ash hadu ana Mohammadan rasullah, is not sufficient. I mean what is the point of saying it, while doing otherwise? Saying it verbally is essential to remind ourselves of living it. Pronouncing a Shahada is a basic foundation in Islam to remind us how we must be committed to maintaining it in our hearts, our soles and living with it throughout till we die. If we don’t live it, we will not be able to utter it upon death. rs were confused as for the reason Muslims say

  The Arabic Bible!!!
Posted by: wel_mel_2 - 11-07-2008, 01:36 AM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (131)

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

Few weeks ago, I asked my sister in Egypt to purchase for me an Arabic Bible (<b>Old Testament and New Testament combined</b>) for my own study. I’ve got many English Bible versions in my house here in China but nowadays, I am interested to read that book in my mother tongue, and to my surprise I discovered that it is not that easy to ‘<i>buy</i>’ the Bible from Egypt.

1- My sister went to a <b>Christian book store</b> in Alexandria to simply purchase an Arabic Bible, and she was told by the seller man that the Bible (which we call it in Arabic AL KITAB AL MUQADAS) is to be found <b>ONLY</b> in the Church.

2- She told him if it is possible for him to help her get one, he said: “<b>Normally they don’t give the Arabic Bible to Muslims OR TO EVEN CHRISTIANS</b>”... my sister says that all what they have in the book store are some interpretations of certain verses from the Bible, but no complete Bible is to be found <b>IN A CHRISTIAN BOOK STORE</b>.

3- He then asked for her tel no and promised to help her if he can get one.

4- My sister then invited her Christian friend to our home and she requested if she owns an extra complete Arabic Bible because my brother needed it.

5- Her friend told my sister that ‘<b>we don’t have even ONE complete Bible in our home</b>’ and it is very difficult especially for Muslims in Egypt to purchase one.

6- She also added that even if you go to Church to buy one, they will ask you to pay over <b>600 pounds (over US$100)</b> in order to buy one, because they know that it is very unreasonable price.

7- My brother knew about this story then he remembered once when his Christian friend told him that <b>all the Christians of Egypt are told by their priests NOT TO GIVE THE BIBLE TO MUSLIMS.</b>

Now I don’t care why they are hiding “<i>God’s word</i>” from us, all what I need to do is to obtain the Arabic Bible

I don’t know if sister Muslimah could help me on this, or maybe she has an experience concerning the same matter in which she would like to share with us!!!

Salam

Wael.

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem

<b> Alhamdulilah that Allah bestowed on us the blessings of Eman and Islam, and He used us to spread His deen, I ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to accept from all of us, and rejoin us under His Shade on The Day of Resurrection, I started this thread after I was reading through the site of Sheikh BinOthaimeen may Allah bless his soul, I found the translation of Ayat Al-Kursee, Subhan Allah that is Ayah # 255 in Surat Al-Baqara, The sheikh has a book for the translation of the Ayah in 5 parts, which I will post here, of course I will not put it all in one post, for the translation is really going to take many posts and pages, and this post is going to be informative and pinned, and locked as well, if any did not understand a sentence or phrase, copy paste and start a new thread regarding questions. I hope Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la will accept from me, and give those who translated the arabic version the full reward for their effort, Allahuma Ameen and may Allah accept from me my intentions, to show how great our Holy Quran is, in order to translate one Ayah he wrote a whole book, Oh Allah accept from us and forgive us for any mistakes we do not know off. Ameen </b>

<b>1-Introduction
</b>

All Praise is due of Allah . We praise Him, and seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah, Most high, from the evils of our own selves and from our wicked deeds. Whomever Allah guides cannot be misguided, and whomever he leads astray cannot be guided. I testify that there is no true God worthy of being worshipped expect Allah, alone, without partner or associate. I further testify that Muhammad is His slave and Messangerصلى الله عليه وسلم . (1) May Allah’s salaah and salaam. Also be granted to the Prophet’s pure family and to all of his noble companions.

O you who believe! Fear Allah [by doing all that he ordered and abstaining from all that He forbade] as He should be feared [obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always ] and die not to expect in a state of Islam .[Qur’’aan, Soorat Aal _` Imran (3:102) ]

O mankind ! Be dutiful to your Raab2 [Allah] who created you from a single person [Adam] and fro him [Adam ] he created his wife [Eve], and from them both He created many men and women. And fear Allah through Whom you demand your mutual [rights] and [do not cut the relations of] the wombs [kind ship]. Surely , Allah is ever an All-watcher over you. [Qur’aan, Soorat An- Nisaa’ (4:1) ].

O you who is believe ! keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak [always ] the truth. He will direct your to do righteous good deeds and will forgive yor sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has indeed achieved Rabb: Allah is Ar-Rabb . He is the One aWho gave all things the power to grow, to move and to change, to Whom belongs the Creation and Commandment ; the Master Who has no equal in His Sovereignty, Predominance, and Highness, The One Who Provides for and Sustains all that exits.a great success . [ Qur’aan Soorat Al-Ahzaab (33:70-71)].

To proceed:

The most truthful speech is that of Allah’s Book [the Qur’aan] and that the best of guidance is that of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) , The worst of evils are the muhdathaat ( newly-invented matters [ in the deen]( The practical and doctrinal aspects of deen are more comprehensive that the Western concept of religion. The deen of Islam is the way of life prescribed by Allah) , and every innovated matter (in the deen) is a bid ‘ah; every bida’ah is a dalaalah (misguidance ), and every dalaalah is the Fire of Hell.

INTRODUCTION

Know, O Muslims , may Allah bestow upon us from His Mercy, that knowledge is the basis for the understanding and application of Islamic principles and law . This is in accordance with the saying of Allah, the Exalted:

So know [O! Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم)] that la ilaaha illallah [none has the right to be worshiped but Allah]. [Quar’aan , Soorat Muhammad (47:19) ].

In a related contest, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) affirmed that:

“He upon whom Allah intends goodness, He confers upon him a true understanding and keen insight into the deen” and [in the narration by Imam Al-Bukhaari], he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said : Truly knowledge is attained by learning" ( Reported by Al-Bukahaari in his Saheeh ( Arabic/English), vol. 2, p. 59, and by Muslim in his Saheeh (English Translation), vol. 2 , no. 2258 .

Imam Al- Bukhaari ( رحمه الله ) commented: “o Allah stated that one should acquire knowledge first, and scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets (i.e. they inherit knowledge )” He added : “ It essential to know a thing first before saying or action upon it.”(See Saheeh Al-Bukhaari ( Arabic/ English ), vol. 2, chapter 11, p. 59.)

Imam ibnul Qayyin (رحمه الله ) said: “ The salaf did not generalize the name “figh” except on the knowledge which is associated with action .” He further added : “al-ilm imaamul-amal ( Knowledge is the Imam of actions) and its leader, and al – amal is adherent to knowledge and is led by it . Every action which is not led by knowledge is of no benefit for the one who initiates it. On the contrary , it inflicts harm upon him , just as some of the salaf said “Whoever worship Allah without knowledge, the mischief he cause is more than the goodness he may bring about” He also stressed that : “Deeds vary with respect to their acceptance or rejection respectively depending upon adherence or opposition to knowledge. Action which is in accordance with “ilm is an approved thing, and what opposes al-‘ilm is repudiated.

Knowledge , therefore, is the , is measure and is the test. Allah (تعالى) said :[blessed be Allah ] Who has created death the He may test you as to which of you is best in deeds, and He is al’-Azeez [ who subdues everything by his Might; the Mighty in His Revenge; the Unapproachable, none will prevail against Him; none is like unto him ], al-Ghafoor [The One who is Oft-Forgiving ] [Qura’aan, Soorat Al-Mulk (67:2) ].

Al- Fudail bin Iyaad (رحمه الله ) explained that , “ The best of deeds are those which are done with sincerity [ seeking Allah’s Face] and are upright” They said , “ what is considered sincere and right of the deeds? He replied , “ Deeds which are sincere but not correct are not accepted, and if they are correct but not sincere tehn they are also not accepted, utill they are sincere and right. In order to be sincere, they must be done for Allah alone and for them to be correct, they must comply with the [authentic] sunnah. Indeed Allah, Most High, says:

Who ever hopes for the meeting of his Rabb let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Rabb [ Allah ].[Qur'aan Soorat Al-Kahf (18:110)]

The door will not be able to act in a way which comprises both qualities (sincerely and rightness)expect by the way ok knowledge . For if he does not know what the Messenger (صلي الله عليه وسلم) brought , he will not be able to follow him in the straight way. On the other hand, if he does not know of the One who deserves to worshipped alone [Allah], he will be unable to seek Him solely"(Imam Ibnul Qayyain in his book Muftaah Daarus Sa'aadah [al-Khober, Saudi Arabia : Daar Ibn'Affaan (1st.ed;checked by Shaykh ' Ali Hassan 'Abdul Hameed al-Halabi al-Athari), 1416/1966 ], vol. 1 pp. 301-303)

In the absolute sense , what is meant by al-'ilm (knowledge) is the Islamic knowledge, based upon kitaabullaah [the Book of Allah, the Qur'aan ], and he authentic sunnah is accordance with the understanding and methodology (manhaj)

Of as-salaf as saalih ( ر حمهم الله) . Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez bin Baaz ( hafithahullah: May Allah preserve him) explained : "When generalized, al-'ilm, pertains to the intended knowledge in the Book os Allah and the sunnah of His Messenger (صلي الله عليه وسلم ) . It is knowledge of Allah, His Manes are Attributes, knowledge of His rights over His creation. And what He (سبحانه وتعالى ) (subhannahu wata' aala: Far is He removed from every imperfection, the Most High) has prescribed for them. And it is the detailed knowledge of the path that leads of Allah knowledge of the path that leads of Allah ; knowledge of the purpose of our creation , and the final outcome, in the Hereafter, which the 'ibaad ) Ibaad (sing.'abd, lit. "slave"). When generalized, 'ibaad includes the believers and non-belivers, the righteous and the wicked. This is the universal kind of 'ubodiyyah (slavery) pertaining to the ruboobiyyah if Allah (He is the Rabb of the all exits). Accordingly, it is the submission to the what Allah gas commanded and decreed in the creation, and this kind of submission is common to all creation, none is able to escape it . Allah Ta'la (the Most High ) said :There is none in the heavens and the earth will come to ar-Rahman [ The One Whose Mercy encompasses everthing (Allah) ] on the Say or Resurrection as submissive salves.[Qura'aan, Soorat Maryam (19:93)

Will ultimately wind up in…. It is of the duty of taalib al-'ilm ( the student seeking knowledge ) to understand and study the deen, to learn and reflect upon what Allah has prescribed, to know the authentic salafi "aqeedah which the Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم ) was upon, his companions, and their followers in righteousness …." (Bin Baaz , Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez Al-'ilm Wa Akhalaaqu Ahlihi [ Riyadh , Saudi Arabia: a special print compiled by Dr. Mohammad S. Ash-Way'ir, 2d.ed. 1409/1988], pp. 302,315. This important treatise was rendered into English by Br. 'Ahmar ibn Muhammad Iqbal and entitled knowledge [birmingham, UK: Al-Hidaayah Publishing & Distribution 1995]).

The greatest, most excellent "and most honorable knowledge is that of Allah , Most High.

The second kind of 'unboodiyyah comprised the general obedience to Allah. It is specific to those who comply to sharee'ah of Allah ( عز وجل) He ( سبحانه وتعالى ) says:

And the believing slaves of ar- Rahmaan are whose who walk on the earth in humility and sedateness. [Quraa'n, Soorat Al- Furqaan (25:63)].

The unboodiyyah of the Messengers ( 'alahimus-salaam: May Allah protect them fromall kinds of evil ) is the very special slavery to Allah , Most High. None can complete with the Messengers, degree of unbondiyyah to Allah.

Names, Attributes, and Actions, the knowledge if His deen and of His Messenger (صلي الله عليه وسلم) with love magnification, being pleased with it all."(Ibnul Qayyin.) See Ftn.6 vol.1 pp. 291-292.

The ranks of people with respect to his knowledge varies to a great extent ."Some people know of Allah by virtue of His Generosity, bounties, and Favors, other know of Him through His Forgiveness, Clemency, and Pardoning, others through His Knowledge and Wisdom, other recognize Him by His Might and Majesty, other by His Mercy, Goodness, Kindness, and Courtesy, others by His Subduing and Sovereignty, and others by the fact that He answers their supplications, and fulfills their needs, and relieves their grief.

The one who is most comprehensive in his knowledge of Alllah, knows of Him by means of His own Words. He knows a Rabb to whom belongs the Most Majestic and Perfect Attributes. Far is He removed from having anything comparable to Him or any equal; free from all kinds of effects and imperfections; qualified with every beautiful Name and every perfect Attribute.

Doer of what He intends (wills); Above everything [istawaa (ascended ) upon the 'arsh above the seven heavens] abd with everythin with His Knowledge, Ability, Authority, and so forth from the meanings of His ruboobiyyah, while He is the most High, above everything]; the One who is Able to do everything; the One Who manages the affairs of everything. He commands and forbids. He speaks the legislative (deeniyyah) (Deeniyyah: Pertrains to Allah's sharee'ah ( commands and Prohibitions of the Islamic Code). It is also know as al-iraadah as –shar'iyyah ( Allah's legislative will) and universal (kawniyyah)(Relates to Allah's Will in His creation. Everything He Wills is certain to pass, and everything He Wills not to pass, will never occour. None is able to escape Allah's universal decree.) words. He is Greater than everything, and He is the Most Beautiful, the Most Merciful, All-Able, the All-Wise.

Allah , Most High , sent down the Qur'aan in order to inform His 'ibaad about Himself, so that they Know of Him, of the way that leads to Him and of the status of travelers to Him after their arrival.

One of the great suwar [ plural of soorah ( chapter)] of the Qur'aan that was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (صلي الله عليه وسلم) is soorat al-baqarah ( The second soorah of the Qur'aan). In it an aayah (verse) in which Allah, the Exalted, Speaks about Himself an His Attributes. This aayah is aayatul -kursi, which is highly distinguished because:

(1) The Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) described as the greatest aayah in the Qur'aan.

(2) In it the Most Great Name of Allah (ismullaahi al-'atham ) is mentioned .

(3) It protects form the shayaateen ( sing.shay-taan). {Imam ibnul Qayyin in his book Al-Fawaa'id [Dammam , Saudi Arabia : Daar ibnul Jawzee (checked and reformatted by Shaykh 'Ali Hassan 'Abdul Hameed ),1417/1996 ] p.369}

(4) The believer who is recites it following an obligatory salaah is under the Care and Protection of Allah until the commencement of the next prayer. At-Tabaraani reported that the Prophet ( صلي الله عليه وسلم) said: "The one who recites aayatul Kursi after the conclusion of an obligatory prayer, he is under the Care of Allah(تعا لى) until the next prayer commences" See At- Tabaraani's collections At Targheeb wat Tarheeb (2:435). Al Haafith Al-Munthiri said , " Alt-Tabaraani reported it with a good chain of narration " Al- Haythami stated the same concludion ( Majama' Az-Zawaa'id 10:109).

(5) The one who recites it after each of the obligatory prayers, then death will be the only thing [ i.e barrier ] preventing his from entering al-Jannah"

This haddeeth is reported by At-Tabarabi , ibn as – Sunni, ibn Hibbaan, abd others. Ibn Hibbaan it as saheeh in his book As-Sallat. Al-Hathami said : "At-Tabaraani reported it in Al-Kabeer and Al-Awsat wit different narrations, one of them is good" Al-Haafith iben Hajar said , Its isnaad is saheeh … and ibnul Jawazee was inattentive when he reported it in his Mawdoo'aat (fabricated collection of ahaadeeth)." Shaykh Al-Albaani authenticated it in As-Silsilah As Saheehah (vol 2 no . 972) and said :"ibn Khatheer declared it as saheeh isn his tafseer (exegesis)." He noted that Shaykh-ul-Islam ibn Tayameeyah's classification of this hadeeth as weak, as in his Fataawaa ( 22:508), "Appears to be made at the stage when he was beginning to Shaykh-ul-Islam ibn Tayemeeyah ( رحمه الله)said " There is no single aayah in the Qur'aan which includes that which is comprised in aayahtul-kursi."

Because of the great importance of this aayah , I have decided, after making istikhaarah ( The special payer composed of two rak'ahs followed by a specific du'aa 9supplication) seeking Allah's Guidanve. The English meaning of this Prophetic du 'aa is : "

O my ilaah (Allah )! I ask your Guidance due to Your Knowledge and appeal to you to help me [ give me power ] due to your Ability , and ask you form Your Great Favor, for you are Able I am not . you know and I do not know , and You know all hidden matters. O Alllah ! If you know that this is matter [and you name it] is good for me in my deen [ Islam ] my livelihood . the after math of my matter [also said: for my life in the Here after], its short term, or its long term , then decree for me, make it easy for me , and bestow blessing for me in it ; and if you know that this matter bad for mei s bad for me in my deen, my livelihood, the aftermath of my matter, its short term, and its long term, then keep it away for me, and turn me away from it, and decree for me the good where ever it is, and then content me with it." A detailed reference on this great act of worship is found in The Three Abandoned Prayers by ' Adnaan Aal 'Ar'uoor; It may me obtained from The call to Islam Da'wah Center at 318 Hoe Street, Walthmstow, London , E17 9PX, UK.

It is of paramount importance that the seekers of knowledge should try their best to review the scholarly works of the trusted salafi ' ulmaa' . This helps to clarify what is generalized or not entirely clear in some of their statements. In addition it brings out points of benefit which otherwise may be missed . unlike so-called "scholars" whose books are filled with mystic terminology whose explanation, in the best cases, may contain truth and

I ask Allah , Most High, to make this effort sincerely for His Majestic Face, and that He grant the best reward to its author and the salafi scholars, and that He grants us a share of the reward for it, and that He makes it a benefit for all Muslims.

The slave of Allah, Saleh As – Saleh.

'Sex Cult' Pastor Arrested in Texas

Controversial Leader Was Arrested for a Second Time on Bigamy Charges

By VIC WALTER and REHAB EL-BURI

The controversial leader of a Texas religious group, called a "sex cult" by some former members, was arrested for a second time today on bigamy charges.

Yisrayl Bill Hawkins, the 73-year-old founder and pastor of the House of Yahweh, was charged by the Callahan County district attorney with having multiple wives, according to a complaint filed in court.

Texas officials said he was arrested away from his compound outside Abilene, Texas to avoid any potential violence from his followers.

Hawkins' followers scuffled with an ABC News producer who was attempting to film the arrest for a "20/20" upcoming report on the controversial pastor and his group.

Hawkins has "dominant influence over the members" and has asked his members to die rather than let him go to prison, according to Callahan County District Attorney Shane Deel. "I have to take him at his word when he says that, and we have to take that seriously," Deel told ABC News.

According to the complaint filed against Hawkins, he has multiple wives and is listed as the father of children born to two different young women last year.

In an interview for "20/20," Hawkins' former wife Kay says he began to preach polygamy after he was caught having an affair with a church secretary. "He began to rewrite the Scriptures," she said. "Any Scripture that did not go along with more than one wife was rewritten to imply that it was all right to have more than one wife."

Hawkins told "20/20" he has only "one wife" and that he is being persecuted because of his religious beliefs. "They hated me more than anybody that's even been arrested in Callahan County," he told ABC News.

"There's nothing wrong, according to the Yahweh's laws," with having more than one wife, Hawkins said. But he insisted he follows the "laws of man" which prohibit multiple wives.

According to the arrest complaint, Hawkins teaches his followers to lie to law enforcement officials about the multiple marriages.

  Voting for the American President
Posted by: SisterJennifer - 11-02-2008, 03:08 PM - Forum: Current Affairs - Replies (14)

The Muslim community in the US is busy with the vote and are debating who the Muslims should pick as their president. The argument presented is we are choosing between the lesser of the two evils. In reality it is more about being American and part of the system than it is about benefiting the ummah because the fact of the matter is there is no benefit in either candidate whatsoever.

Democracy in an un-Islamic system and we as Muslims should have nothing to do with it. Whether one looks at the root and history of democracy or at the reality of democracy today one can realize that it is a system that is not only different than the Islamic system but is opposed to it. Can’t you see that the West in its war against Islam is offering the democratic system as an alternative to Sharia? So if the West, which is the founder of democracy, sees democracy as an opposing system to Islam why are some Muslims still insisting on participating in it and adopting it as their political religion?

Democracy is a Western system that was founded and developed in the West and today the West, not the Muslims, have full authority and right to tell the world what democracy is and how it should be practiced and implemented. We have our own system of government and likewise it is the Muslims who are going to define it and will not allow non Muslims to meddle with our religion and teach us what is right from wrong.

Muslims should seek to avoid any forms of participation in Western democracy. The promoters of participation in American elections argue that we are choosing the least of the two evils. This principle is correct but what they are missing is that in the process of choosing the lesser of the two evils they are committing an even greater evil . The breaking down of the psychological barrier that should exist between Muslims and non-Muslims, the erosion of the aqeedah of wala and bara (loyalty to Allah and disavowal of the enemies of Allah,) and the risk of loosing one’s religion are evils that outweigh any benefit that may come out of such participation.

Also the types of candidates that American politics has been spitting out is absolutely disgusting. I wonder how any Muslim with a grain of iman in his heart could walk up to a ballot box and cast his vote in endorsement of creatures such as Mcain or Obama?! How can a Muslim sleep with a clear conscience after he has chosen the likes of G.W. Bush? No matter how irrelevant your vote is, on the Day of Judgment you will be called to answer for it. You, under no coercion or duress, consciously chose to vote for the leader of a nation that is leading the war against Islam.

There is also a strange belief among some that if we participate in the elections of the disbelievers we will bring good to ourselves, while if we have trust in Allah and avoid the disbelievers, as He wants from us, we will be missing out on some good and would draw harm to ourselves. They are so weak they believe we can only survive in today’s word if we seek support from the enemies of Allah. But for the believers Allah is sufficient for them and they do not need to seek assistance from the leaders or the governments of the disbelievers.

An Open Letter to the Secretary of State for Education Ed Balls

The debate over the trajectory of the western sociopolitical system and its strained relations with Islam is the most pivotal of our time. Muslims are in one of the most difficult phases of their history when malicious attacks including allegation of terrorism are being made on Islam and Muslims all over the world. The malicious campaign against Muslims is politically motivated. The world is obsessed by Islam. Anti-terror measures are ruining lives of Muslim youths. If you go around arresting young Muslims, you are going to find that you are going to ostracise this community. Young Muslims don’t need to be ostracized, they need to be engaged. According to the Arch Bishop, Rowan Williams, acceptance of some facets of Sharia not only “seems unavoidable”, but could actually improve social cohesion. Muslims should be able to choose to have marital or financial matters dealt with in a Sharia Court. Such courts should therefore be incorporated into the British legal system as a constructive accommodation with Islam. Schools are being asked to help “win hearts and minds” in the battle against violent extremists on both sides. British born Imams should go into schools to supplement the teaching of RE, PSHE and Citizenship so that all pupils can learn about the Holy Quran and Islam in the context of a multicultural society. OFSTED must make sure that their services should be fully utilised by the schools, otherwise, it will be waste of public money.

The British Establishment is wrong to assert that Imams and Masajid have been radicalising Muslim youths. The roots of extremism are in the British society and schools where institutional racism is at its peak. The racism within schools has got little media coverage. The school attended by 7/7 bombers in a part of Leeds known for its history of racial tension between British Asians and native Brits. Leeds council was so worried about the violence that it had to call in Foundation for Peace, a government funded peacekeepers who were used to keep Catholics and Protestants from killing one another in Northern Ireland. True message of Islam should be promoted because British media and society have always portrayed Islam in a negative way since Crusades and the siege of Vienna in 1683. School Curriculum should be used to convey a deeper understanding of Islamic faith, history and culture. Prison is not the answer of those who are vulnerable to, or are being drawn into violent extremism unless they have clearly committed an offence.

The greatest challenge to humanity is learning to live in a crowded and interconnected world that is creating unprecedented pressures on human society. The rector of Oxford’s largest Anglican Churches has called a Muslim call to prayers from the main Masjid “un-English”. This is a clear case of intolerance. Gibraltar is a British colony. Five Pound currency note has a queen image on one side and on the other side there is an image of the Muslim Conqueror with a sword in his hand. There is more hatred of Muslims seduced by the Western media, education system and church leaders like Bishop Nazir Ali. Catholic nuns have worn veils for centuries, with no public controversies arising. There is no reason why any girl’s school uniform can not now be modified to include a veil. Wearing a veil to school or to work must be a matter of choice for all.

Before few weeks, as I was watching Fajer Prayer in Mecca I noticed an old man who is always in the first raw after the Imam and he is really old very old.I admired his way of caring to be in the first raw every day and praying while he is standing all the time Masha2 Allah, and you can even notice that he is devoting all his senses with the prayers.Anyhow, I was telling my mother about this old man and she told me a wonderful story which really makes me proud of myself as i am part of this great family.

My mother told me about my Grandfather.She said in his last days he used to cry alot,i asked her why was he doing that?She said he told my Uncle may Allah forgive them;as both of them died long time ago,I had taking care for 40 years to be in Salat Jama and particulary in the first raw and now he cant even go to the mosque to pray ..! Isn't he a great man (allah yarhmek baba Muhammed)! Then,mum strated to say about my grandfather alot of great things,how much he was humble and nice with everybody even with those who harm him ..!

I am really proud of you Baba Muhammed and I wish to meet you in the afterlife to say to you thank you for raising my mother in your way :)

P.S:anyone who watch the Fajer Prayer in Mecca,notice this old man and Pray for him to keep on what he is doing and all those with him,may God bless them all and all the Muslims :)

  Do Christians, Jews and Sabians go to heaven?
Posted by: radiyah - 10-31-2008, 10:40 PM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - Replies (17)

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem

In The Name of Allah, Most Gracious Most Merciful, He is The only ONE worthy of worship, and only to him do we prostrate in humbleness, not to a statue or a cow, not to a person or tree or moon or sun or fire, there is no one or anything that is like Him, He is Unique in His onness, and He does not have a son or a wife. On the day of judgment, the whole universe, the seven earths and heavens will be folded in his Hand(of course He does not have a hand like us, but this is as mentioned in The Translation of The Holy Quran is a figurative description) This is Allah This is Islam, this is "THE TRUE FURQAN", the word Furqan comes from the arabic word <b>faraqa</b>
which means differentiate, the Furqan then means the differentiation between Truth and Falsehood. This is the true Islam and this what will save from eternity in hell.

Now regarding to what the Shiits told you, it is according to their own ijtihad or translation of The Holy Quran which with full respect to them is not a correct translation. According to Sunnah and ahadeeth that came to us translating The Holy Quran, and according to the true Arabic language and is rules and grammar, the translation is according to Ayah # 62 in Surat Al-Baqara:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

<b> Lo! Those who believe (in that which is revealed unto thee, Muhammad), and those who are Jews, and Christians, and Sabaeans - <span style="color:#FF0000;">whoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right
- surely their reward is with their Lord, and there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. (62)</span></b>

See the underlined, whoever beleive in Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la, not Jesus, not Moses, not Angels or anything else, so at the beginning Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, stated and started with:

1- The beleivers in Allah and Muhammad(peace be upon him). Those are the muslims who believe in Allah, the day of Judgement and do right( they do not lie cheat steal or kill), and in our relegion there is a science called Aqeedah which means belief, The true Aqeeda is to beleive in no doubt in The the cornerstones of Eman which is:

1-To believe in Allah as one and only Creator of the universe.

2-To believe in the existence of the angels, because we do not see them, but Allah told us about them, so His word is the truth and we have to believe in it.

3-To believe in The Holy books of Moses and Jesus and David peace be upon them all.( and that is the true books not the changed ones.)

4-To believe in all the prophets.

5-To believe in the day of judgment.

6-To believe in the destiny, good and bad.

So The word believe here which means Eman has 6 conditions for full belief, if u do not believe in one of them then, your faith is not complete. So the basis of the Islamic belief, and a true believer is as Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said in verse 285 from Surat Al-Baqara:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

<b>The messenger believeth in that which hath been revealed unto him from his Lord and (so do) believers. Each one believeth in Allah and His angels and His scriptures and His messengers - We make no distinction between any of His messengers - and they say: We hear, and we obey. (Grant us) Thy forgiveness, our Lord. Unto Thee is the journeying. (285)
</b>

So as you see those are the true believers.

Now why in verse 62 did he mention the Jews and Christians and Sabians, if you read Surat Al-Baqra from begining to end you will find mostly how it is talking about the jews, and how they gave hard time to Prophet Moses peace be upon Him, and for those who did not beleive and gave hard time to the prophet will be damned in hell see verse 61 for example

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

<b>
</b>

And when ye said: O Moses! We are weary of one kind of food; so call upon thy Lord for us that He bring forth for us of that which the earth groweth - of its herbs and its cucumbers and its corn and its lentils and its onions. He said: Would ye exchange that which is higher for that which is lower? Go down to settled country, thus ye shall get that which ye demand. And humiliation and wretchedness were stamped upon them and they were visited with wrath from Allah. That was because they disbelieved in Allah's revelations and slew the prophets wrongfully. That was for their disobedience and transgression. (61)

Ye here stands for Jews, so see in this ayah they are damned with wrath of Allah, those were the jews at the time of prophet Mosa peace be upon him who killed prophets and disbelieved in what Allah ordered them. But there were believers at his time and thosse are the ones that will not fear the hellfire.

2- Then Subhanahu wa Ta'ala mentioned the Jews, Christians and Sabians, in verse 62 that follows verse 61, to clear that this condemnation was not on all Jews at the time of Moses, or Jesus, or the Sabians before Islam- and the Arabs used to call those who leave the worship of statues as Sabians for leaving the belief of the ancestors, at that time before Islam was revealed, there were Arabs who believed in the oneness of Allah, according to the Ibrahim faith- and even those in the days of prophet Muhammad, and in our days, those who were Jews Christians and sabians, if they believed in the true Islam, and fulfilled The cornerstones of Eman as I mentioned above, then only then they will have no fear nor grieve.

So we do not take one Ayah, and take a random meaning of it and believe what other tell us without knowing the true meaning and denying other verses that say:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem

<b>
</b>

They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers. (72) They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the One God. If they desist not from so saying a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. (73)

Surat Al-Ma'eda

So what do you think of these verses in The Holy Quran, how can we accept one verse and translate it according to our will and refuse others that frankly state those who live their whole life on that belief and die with it those are the ones condemned, but those who repent during their life and believe in Allah and prophet Muhammad(PBUH) as the last Messenger of Allah, then those are the true believers and those are the ones who will not face any grief or sadness.

So to be a true believer You must believe in the oneness of Allah and His attributes:

Bismillah Al-Rahman Al-Raheem:

<b>
</b>

He is Allah, than Whom there is no other God, the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One, Peace, the Keeper of Faith, the Guardian, the Majestic, the Compeller, the Superb. Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him). (23) He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (24) Surat Al-Hashr

So do u now understand who are the Jews, Christians and Sabians who will have no grief or sadness. If you find anything not clear, and you wish more explanation, do not hesitate ask, and I will reply by will of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, if I was late in response, insha'Allah my brothers and sisters here will complete what I started.

Peace
