  In Pursuit of Allah's Pleasure
Posted by: Mutawakkil - 08-06-2003, 11:51 AM - Forum: Books you read - Replies (5)

Bismillahir-rahmanir-raheem

As-salaamu alaykum wa rahmat-Allaahi wa barakaatuhu

This is a brief overview of what I think is one the best books of guidance written in 'our time'. I recommend all my brothers and sisters obtain a copy of In Pursuit of Allah's Pleasure and put it up on their 'to be regularly re-read' shelf alongside Al Wala' Wal Bara' - according to the Aqeedah of the Salaf by ibn al-Qahtani

*edited by mutawakkil

This is Our 'Aqeedah

Dr. Naahah Ibrahim, Asim Abdul Maajid & Esaam-ud-Deen Darbaalah

In Pursuit of Allah's Pleasure, al-Firdous Ltd, London 1997)

(article from iisca.org)

Iman is a proclamation with the tongue, action with the limbs and belief with the heart. Iman increases with acts of obedience and decreases with acts of disobedience, and accordingly, believers are of varying levels.

Sins and acts of disobedience diminish Iman but do not invalidate its essence, while greater disbelief (al-Kufr al-Akbar) completely eradicates it.

Kufr (disbelief) is of two types: major (akbar) and minor (asghar). The first excludes one completely from the fold of Islam, thus branding him a disbeliever. The second is an act of disobedience given an exaggerated name for purposes of warning and repelling. The same categories of 'major' and 'minor' equally apply to Shirk (polytheism), Nifaaq (hypocrisy), Dhulm (oppression), and Fisq (evil-doing).

A Muslim does not become a kaafir (disbeliever) by committing acts of disobedience, even if they were many and he did not repent from them, as long as he does not approve of them with his heart. The Faasiq who believes in the prohibition of the sins and vices he commits is not considered a kaafir, even if he insists on continuing with his wrong actions and does not repent and dies on such a state of affairs. His fate in the Hereafter is left to Allah who may forgive him or may punish him in the Hell-Fire for a time then take him out of it into Paradise.

When Islam and Iman are mentioned together, the former means believing with the heart and the latter refers to the physical conduct. When mentioned seperately they both refer to the Deen of Islam as a whole.

We do not judge as Kaafir someone who commits acts of 'kufr' (disbelief) unless clear, undisputed evidence has been established against him by those qualified to do so, so that it would become clear to us that he has comitted such acts knowingly, intentionally and by his own free will.

We believe that Allah, Exalted is He, is the Creator and Provider, the Life-Giver and Life-Taker, the resurrector, the Inheritor, the Doer of all good and harm. We seek no lord besides Him, "Say: 'Shall I seek a Lord other than Allah, while He is the Lord of all things?' " [al-An'aam (6), Ayah 164.]

He is Glorified and High, Exalted above having a consort, son, partner or rival, "Say: 'He is Allah, (the) One. Allah as-Samad(1). He begets not nor is He begotten; and there is none comparable unto Him." [surah al-Ikhlaas (112).]

Allah, Exalted is He, is rightly worshipped and the One worthy of worship. His slaves should direct everything to Allah Alone: fear, hope, rememberance, supplication, love and submission; assistance and salvation; entreaty; reliance; sacrifices; vows and all other forms of worship.

We seek blessings from neither trees, nor stones, nor graves. We entreat Allah only by using one of His Names or Attributes, through good works we have done or through the supplication of a living, meritorious person. We neither walk around a grave seeking blessings from the dead, nor present sacrifices to a Jinn or to a dead saint, nor make a vow anyone apart from Allah. Whoever does one of these things has indeed committed Shirk.

We accept no source of laws or judgements other than Allah, as we accept no other Lord beside Him. Since Allah is the Creator, He has the sovereignty, and thus rules, commands, prohibits, judges and legislates. Allah is the All-Knower, All-Aware.

Whoever legislates different laws to those of Allah and replaces His Laws with others, has gone against Allah's sovereignty. Such a person has made himself a partner and equal in jurisdiction with Allah, thus (he has) stepped outside the circle of Islam. If this person is a ruler, he should therefore be rebelled against and deposed.

We confirm all of Allah's Names and Attributes which Allah has stated in His Book (the Qur'an) or mentioned through His Messenger Muhammad without changing them or ignoring them completely or twisting their meanings or giving resemblance to any of the created things. We do not even claim knowledge of what His Attributes are like, because "There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer." [surah Ash-Shura (42), Ayah 11.]

There is none like Him, whether in His Being, His Names, His Attributes or Actions.

We confirm those Attributes of Allah which He Confirmed for Himself and which His Messenger Muhammad confirmed for Him, such as Knowledge, Capability, Hearing, Seeing, the Face, Hands and other Attributes which are not like any of those of His creatures.

We say as our Lord said (which means):

"The Most Beneficent (Allah) rose over the [mighty] Throne." [surah Ta-Ha (20), Ayah 5.]

Allah is therefore present on His Throne, over and above His creation. The fact that He is present over the Throne is known, but the manner of it is not. Believing in it is an obligation (wajib), and asking about such a manner is an innovation in religion (bid'ah).

Allah does whatever He wills, whenever He wills and in the manner He wills. He delights, laughs, loves, hates, shows approval and wrath (in a manner that suits His Majesty), as has been stated in the Qur'an and the Prophetic traditions. In His actions He is like none of His creation and none from mortals knows how those actions take form.

The Qur'an is the true uncreated word of Allah, not similar in any way to the speech of Mankind; it was spoken by Him in a way that we know nothing about.

We believe in the Angels, the Prophets and the Messengers.

We believe in the books revealed to the Messengers and we make no distinction between any of His Messengers.

We believe that Muhammad is the servant of Allah and His Messenger; he is the best and leader of all Mankind, the seal of all the Prophets and the leader of the pious.

We believe that Muhammad was taken by night in his bodily form while awake from al-Haram mosque [in Makkah] to al-Aqsaa mosque [in Jerusalem], and ascended through the heavens to whatever heights Allah willed for him.

We have no doubt that the awaited Mahdee (or rightly-guided Imam) will come forth from among the Ummah of the Prophet at the end of time (on earth).

We believe in the Signs of the Hour. The appearance of ad-Dajjal (false Messiah, or Antichrist). The descent from heaven of 'Isa, son of Mary. The sun rising from the West. The emergence of the Beast from the earth. And other signs mentioned in the Qur'an and the authentic Hadeeth of the Prophet.

We believe in the questioning in the grave by the two angels. Munkar and Nakeer, about one's Lord, one's religion and the Prophet Muhammad .

We believe in the punishment in the grave, may Allah save us from it, for those who deserve it. The grave is either one of the meadows of Paradise or one of the pits of the Hell-Fire, and each servant gets what he deserves.

We believe in the resurrection of Mankind from the graves on the Day of Judgement to be set before Allah. We believe in the Reckoning, the reading of the book (account of deeds), the Scale (on which the deeds will be weighed), as-Sirat (the bridge set over Hell-Fire), and punishment and reward.

We believe that the Intercession which the Prophet reserved for his Ummah on the Day of Judgement is true.

We believe in Al-Hawd, the Pool which Allah will grant the Prophet as an honour to quench the thirst of his Ummah on the Day of Judgement.

We believe that Paradise and Hell are both true. They are created and will never vanish.

We believe that the people of Paradise will see their Lord directly, without their vision being all-encompassing and without the manner of their vision being known. As Allah, Exalted is He, said (which means):

"Some faces that Day will be shining and radiant, looking at their Lord (Allah)." [surah Al-Qiyaamah (75), Ayah 22-23.]

We believe in al-Qadar (Divine Decree), the good of it and the bad of it, and say as Allah said (which means):

"Say: All things are from Allah." [surah An-Nisa (4), Ayah 78.] Good and evil are therefore both from Allah's Decree. Everything in the universe occurs by His Will.

We believe Allah, Exalted is He, does not command His slaves to be disbelievers or to be disobedient, nor is He pleased with them being so:

"He likes not disbelief for His slaves." [surah az-Zumar (39), Ayah 7.]

And if He, Exalted is He, preordains infidelity for the infidel, He does so for reasons only He knows: out of justice from Allah, transgression from the servant against his own soul, and as a punishment for previous sins he had committed:

"Whatever of good reaches you (is from Allah), but whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself." [surah An-Nisaa (4), Ayah 79.]

All this happens in accordance with Allah's Will. Whatever Allah wills will be, and whatever He does not will, will not be. And Allah is never unjust to any of His servants:

"Surely, Allah wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or small ant)." [surah An-Nisaa (4), Ayah 40.]

We believe Allah created the actions of His slaves: "Allah has created you and what you make." [surah As-Saaffaat (37), Ayah 96.] and the slaves execute their own actions in reality, not metaphorically.

We love the companions of the Prophet , may Allah be pleased with them all; they are the best of all generations. We remember their merits, hold them in high esteem and display Walaa'(2) to them. We also abstain from the things they disagreed upon. Love of them is part of Islam, part of Iman and part of Ihsan (excellent behaviour). Hatred of them is disbelief and hypocrisy.

We confirm the Caliphate first to Abu Bakr as-Siddeeq, due to his excellence and superiority over the rest of the Ummah; then to 'Umar bin al-Khattab; then to 'Uthman bin 'Affan; then to 'Ali bin Abee Taalib, may Allah be pleased with them all. They are the Rightly-Guided Caliphs and upright leaders about whom the Prophet said: "So you must keep to my Sunnah and to the Sunnah of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs; cling to it stubbornly."(3)

The scholars of as-Salaf (the first generation of this Ummah and those who followed in their footsteps) must only be spoken about in the best way. Anyone who speaks ill of them is surely not on the right path.

This is our 'Aqeedah which is more precious to us than our own lives. It has stood the test of time and remained firm for fourteen centuries. It will continue to remain so in the face of all the onslaughts of the disbelievers, the spreading of doubt by the hypocrites and the innovations of the heretics. It has also been steadfast despite the remiss and negligence of many Muslims.

As Salam Alykom

On this lesson we are going to put some adjectives with their opposites:

Kabeer

Large / old (according to context)

صغير

Sagheer

Small / young (according to context)

Tight (either for places, clothes or even feeling heavy chest as in: "He makes his chest closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky." (Quran 6:126) The underline part means tight. By the way this ayah is one of the miraculous scientific ayahs of the Quran. How would the our beloved illiterate Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم know that mankind can not climb to the skies without the necessary equipment. As described in the ayah, the chest becomes tight due to lack of Oxygen. That is why they wear space suits. Sobhan Allah.

VOTE for the DEEN of your choice.
Posted by: Mutawakkil - 08-06-2003, 03:38 AM - Forum: Islam - Replies (2)

Bismillahir-rahmanir-raheem

As-salaamu alaykum wa rahmat-Allaahi wa barakaatuhu

Before we begin I remind myself first and then my brothers and sisters in islaam of the words of Our Prophet, Muhammad ibn Abdullah, Sallallahu Alaihee Wassalam, who said in his last sermon.....

[b:b4734ab754]O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.[/b:b4734ab754]

And from our Holy Book, the Qur'an where Allah Subhaanahu wa Taalaa swore an oath....

[b:b4734ab754]Nay! O Muhammad - by your Rabb - they will never be true believers until they accept you as a judge in their disputes, then they do not find any resentment in their hearts against your verdicts and accept them with complete submission.[/b:b4734ab754]Surat An-Nisa (The Women) 4.65

[b:b4734ab754]The response of the true believers, when they are called to Allah and His Rasool that he may judge between them, is only to say: "We hear and we obey." Such are the ones who will attain felicity.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat An-Nur (The Light) 24.51

to proceed.....

[b:b4734ab754]VOTE for the DEEN of your choice.[/b:b4734ab754]

Nowadays the call goes out that we must respond to life in the lands of the Kufaar and enter into their politics in order to better the situation of the muslims. "When in Rome - do as the Romans do" as it were.

But what is Politics ?? What is the definition of 'Politics' ?? In Surat Yusef (Joseph) we have a pure definition;

[b:b4734ab754]After this Yusuf first began to search the packs of his stepbrothers before the pack of his own brother (Benjamin). Finally he took it out of his brother's pack. Thus We directed Yusuf. He could not seize his brother under the King's Law; but Allah willed otherwise.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Yusef (Joseph) 12.76

The part we are looking for is [b:b4734ab754]the King's Law[/b:b4734ab754].However the meaning seems to blur in the english tafsirs(translations). The Arabic says;

[b:b4734ab754]Fee Deen Al-Malik[/b:b4734ab754].

What's that you say ?? [b:b4734ab754]Deen ??[/b:b4734ab754] Now this is the more accurate translation. [b:b4734ab754] Fee Deen Al-Malik.....The Deen of The King.[/b:b4734ab754] And we all know what Deen means. So choose your Deen. Allah or Hosni or George. Do we have a choice ?? Again in Surat Yusef (Joseph) we find the answer when Yusef Alaihee salaam said;

[b:b4734ab754]The Command belongs to none but Allah.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Yusef (Joseph)12.40

The Ulama are in agreement that our Ummah's trouble stems from abandoning Allah's Law both externally and spiritually. And what does Allah Subhaanahu wa Taalaa label those who choose another Deen;

[b:b4734ab754]those who do not judge by the law which Allah has revealed, are indeed KAFIRS (unbelievers).[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Al-Maidah (The Table) 5.44

[b:b4734ab754]those who do not judge by the law which Allah has revealed, they are the THAALIMOON (wrongdoers). [/b:b4734ab754]Surat Al-Maidah (The Table) 5.45

[b:b4734ab754]those who do not judge by the Law which Allah has revealed, they are the FASIQOON (transgressors).[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Al-Maidah (The Table) 5.47

Some approve and promote getting involved in democracy arguing along the lines "When in Rome, do as the Romans do". Therefore claiming exemption from Allah's Law due to prevailing circumstances. Though we reside in their lands we are not forced to enter into their Deen.

[b:b4734ab754]Say: Should I seek a judge other than Allah, when He is the One Who has revealed this Book (The Qur'an) with full details? Those whom We gave the Book, before you, know very well that it is revealed to you from your Rabb with the Truth; therefore, you should not be of those who have doubts.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Al-An'am (The Cattle) 6.114

Being weak in the land certain doesn't invalidate this;

[b:b4734ab754]O you who believe! Take neither Jews nor Christians as your protecting friends: they are only protecting friends of one another. Whoever of you disobeys this commandment will be counted as one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoers.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Al-Maidah (The Table) 5.51

We must be strong and not look to their Deen as a solution to our woes. Deen is more than the kafir's politics to a muslim. Our misery is because we turned our backs on Allah's book. We must follow Qur'an and sunnah in all our lives. As a king, as a president, as a boss, as a father, as a husband, as a mother, as a wife, as a son, as a daughter and so on. Deen must come back into our homes. We know what our ailment is. We know what the cause is. Are we so foolish as to invite more wrath by leaning on the Kafir for support;

[b:b4734ab754]Do not be inclined to those who are unjust, lest you be seized by the fire; and you will not have any protector besides Allah, nor shall you be helped.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Hud (Hood) 11.113

Is the risk of turning to Bush, Mubarak or anyone among them worth the risk ?? Surely these words are plain and simple;

[b:b4734ab754]O you who believe! Do not make your protecting friends those, from among the people who were given the Book before you and the unbelievers, who have made your religion a mockery or pastime, fear Allah if you are true believers.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Al-Maidah (The Table) 5.57

Now it's up to you to vote for the Deen of your choice.

So I leave you with those words to ponder again from Surat Yusef (Joseph) [b:b4734ab754] Fee Deen Al-Malik - The Deen of The King.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Yusef (Joseph) 12.76

[b:b4734ab754]The Command belongs to none but Allah, Who has commanded that you worship none but Him. That is the true faith, yet most of the people do not know.[/b:b4734ab754] Surat Yusef (Joseph) 12.40

[i:b4734ab754]WasSalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh[/i:b4734ab754]

[img:b4734ab754]http://www.seheb.org/sm/sm77.gif[/img:b4734ab754][b:b4734ab754]What do you know about Islaam ??[/b:b4734ab754]

They kill you with your money kill them by BOYCOTTING!

[b:ab1c06fa91][u:ab1c06fa91]BOYCOTT THEIR PRODUCTSSSSSSSS[/u:ab1c06fa91][/size:ab1c06fa91]!!!!![/b:ab1c06fa91]

Every time a calamity befalls a Muslim country, Muslims in many parts of the world react strongly but it’s sad to admit that mostly it’s all words and few are the ones who take action. For many as time passes they go back to their normal lives as if nothing happened.

[i:ab1c06fa91]Do you watch or read the news?

Do you see the pictures of your dead Muslim brothers?

Do you see the pictures of the dead Muslim children?

Do you see your Muslim sisters crying and suffering?

Do you see how their homes are being demolished?[/i:ab1c06fa91]

<span>[b:ab1c06fa91]</span><span><span>ARE WE BLIND[/color:ab1c06fa91][/b:ab1c06fa91][/size:ab1c06fa91]</span></span>

<span><span>Well next time you go to buy a Jewish or American product remember those pictures, remember that by purchasing these product you are paying for the price of the bullets which will kill your brothers and sisters. Everybody is saying Me, Myself, and I, how selfish?? Would it kill you if you stopped buying a Jewish or American product?? Would it kill you to say to your child he/she can not drink [b:ab1c06fa91]Coca Cola [/b:ab1c06fa91]or [b:ab1c06fa91]Pepsi[/b:ab1c06fa91] nor eat from [b:ab1c06fa91]Mac Donald’s[/b:ab1c06fa91]?? Would it kill you to stop buying your makeup from [b:ab1c06fa91]MAC Cosmetics[/b:ab1c06fa91]??. Would it kill your husband if he did not buy his suit from [b:ab1c06fa91]Armani[/b:ab1c06fa91]??. [i:ab1c06fa91]Are we such weak people that we can not resist a few of our worldly wants for the sake of helping one another?? Do we have such dead hearts?? Is our Iman(faith) so weak??, [/i:ab1c06fa91]when the French refused to support the war on Iraq the Americans boycotted their cheese and wine, just as they would not give their support to go to war, but look at us the ones who are oppressed and killed at every corner of the world!!!!. Those people do not love us nor our religion although some Muslims may argue the opposite, I will say to them look at Palestine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Chechnya, so many countries can be listed where is the picture of love that you speak about??. Why go so far, look at what the Quran says (meaning):</span></span>

<span><span>[b:ab1c06fa91]</span></span><span><span><span>“O ye who believe! Take not for friends unbelievers rather than believers: Do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves?” [/color:ab1c06fa91][/b:ab1c06fa91]Surah Al-Nisa verse 144</span></span></span>

<span><span><span>In another Surah:</span></span></span>

<span><span><span>[b:ab1c06fa91] </span></span></span><span><span><span><span>“O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.” [/color:ab1c06fa91][/b:ab1c06fa91]Surah Al-Maa’dah verse 51</span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span>In another Surah:</span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span>[b:ab1c06fa91] </span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span>“Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless thou follow their form of religion. Say: "The Guidance of Allah,-that is the (only) Guidance." Wert thou to follow their desires after the knowledge which hath reached thee, then wouldst thou find neither Protector nor helper against Allah.”[/color:ab1c06fa91] [/b:ab1c06fa91] Surah Al-Baqarah verse 120</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>Here are some of the benefits of boycotting:</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>1- [b:ab1c06fa91]Health protection[/b:ab1c06fa91]:- Boycotting products like Marlboro, Pepsi, Coca Cola saves us from the harms they cause.</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>2- [b:ab1c06fa91]Support and Encourage the Muslim industry[/b:ab1c06fa91]:- For sure once you start boycotting you will be looking for replacements. And this is a chance to improve the Islamic industry, some might complain about the quality, but sister by buying from them you are encouraging them to improve their quality.</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>3- [b:ab1c06fa91]Change our consuming habits[/b:ab1c06fa91]:- If you notice most of the Muslim and Arab countries consume so much and sadly it’s not their products but products imported from their enemies and by doing this we improve and raise their economy.</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>4- [b:ab1c06fa91]Getting rid from their supremacy and following them[/b:ab1c06fa91]:- Unfortunately we are weak (our faith is weak and our creed had been corrupted) that is why the non-believers have a lot of effect on our environments and ways of life. If you look at the boycott list you will see how effected many of us are from American restaurants, American cloth, American medicine, American soda, even the gum and chocolate are American, and don’t forget the appliances in both home and offices.</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>5- [b:ab1c06fa91]YOU WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE PRICE OF KILLING YOUR BROTHERS. [/b:ab1c06fa91]</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>Here is a list of products that should be boycotted, some sisters when they read the list may pick some products or companies and say they are not American, well the answer is we should boycott all American and Jewish products and any company that supports Israel even if it’s not American. However if any sister/brother is 100% sure that one of the products on the list is not American nor does it support Israel, please mention it.</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>[b:ab1c06fa91]Aramis </span></span></span></span></span>

[i:559396182c]She complains and says:[/i:559396182c]

I don’t know why my relatives visit my sisters more,

But when time comes to visit me few of them turn-up,

They visit my other four sisters daily,

However when my turn comes I see only a few,

There are some I don’t see for days and days,

And some I hardly ever see,

As if I have been erased from their memory,

And some when they come they are sooooo lazy and lethargic,

Their excuses are totally not acceptable,

What can I do to them???,

I am the most generous to those who come to me,

I am not accusing my sisters of any shortcomings,

But everybody knows that I am more generous,

Many advice my relatives to come to me for there is so much good in it,

However still few of them turn-up!!!!!!!!, [/color:559396182c]

[b:559396182c]I wonder what the problem is????!!!!!! [/b:559396182c]

~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:

All her complains are finished, let’s now see who she is …….??

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Her name is not long only four letters.

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The last letter is R

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The 2 middle letters are A & J

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

The first letter is F

= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =

Yes it’s ((Fajr))!

<span>Fajr Prayer [/color:559396182c]</span>

<span>It’s complaining about the neglect of so many Muslims. </span>

<span>What is meant by relatives are the Muslims who come to Fajr to get closer to Allah, </span>

<span>It’s noticed that today many are lazy on performing this prayer, and some did not perform it on time for quite a long time now. </span>

<span>Not only that but some get up, go to work and then perform it there. </span>

<span>For them it became a habit and not a form of worship, </span>

<span>They forgot the blessings that are in it, lets look and ponder on what our beloved prophet peace be upon him said about the 2 Rakah’s that are before Fajr : </span>

<span>Book 004, Number 1573: </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]“'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger as saying: The two rak'ahs at dawn are better than this world and what it contains.”[/b:559396182c] Narrated by Muslim. </span>

<span>If this whole world and all it contains equals nothing in the eye of the prophet peace be upon him compared to those 2 Rakah’s, how about Fajr prayer itself? </span>

<span>We must really stop on this!!!!! </span>

<span>This prayer is so great that the night and morning angels attend it: </span>

<span>In the Quran it says (meaning): </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]“and the morning prayer and reading: for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony.”[/b:559396182c] Surah Al-Isra verse 78 </span>

<span>The prophet peace be upon him gave glad tidings, in the hadith Reported by Al-Tirmidi, Abu Dawood, and Ibn Majah: </span>

<span>Book 2, Number 0561: </span>

<span>Narrated Buraydah ibn al-Hasib: </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]"The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: Give good tidings to those who walk to the mosques in darkness for having a perfect light on the Day of Judgment." [/b:559396182c]</span>

<span>There is one more reward for the ones who attend Fajr prayer in addition to this complete light, however this reward is not a worldly one but one that is way higher and loftier than this. It’s the goal that every Muslim craves for, it’s what the worshippers worship for, it’s paradise and what winning trade is better than paradise. The prophet(pbuh) said: </span>

<span>Book 004, Number 1326: </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]“Abu Bakr* reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: He who observed two prayers at two cool (hours) would enter Paradise.”[/b:559396182c] Narrated by Muslim. </span>

<span>Those 2 are the Fajr and Asr prayers. </span>

<span>Furthermore our prophet(pbuh) gives a promise of safety from the hell fire: </span>

<span>Book 004, Number 1324: </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]“He who observed prayer before the rising of the sun and its setting, i. e. the dawn prayer and the afternoon prayer, would not cater the (Hell) fire.”[/b:559396182c] Narrated by Muslim. </span>

<span>Moreover wouldn’t you like to be under the protection of the All Mighty may He be glorified exalted. </span>

<span>Our beloved prophet peace be upon him said: </span>

<span>Book 004, Number 1381: </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]Jundab b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: He who prayed the morning prayer (in congregation) he is in fact under the protection of Allah. And it can never happen that Allah should demand anything from you in connection with the protection (that He guarantees) and one should not get it. He would then throw him in the fire of Hell.”[/b:559396182c] Narrated by Muslim </span>

<span>Do you want for your self to be wicked????? We seek refuge in Allah!. </span>

<span>Our beloved prophet peace be upon him warned us against becoming wicked he said: </span>

<span>Book 004, Number 1702: </span>

<span>[b:559396182c]Abu Huraira transmitted it from the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him): When any one of you goes to sleep, the devil ties three knots at the back of his neck, sealing every knot with:" You have a long night, so sleep." So if one awakes and mentions Allah, a knot will be loosened; if he performs ablution two knots are loosened; and if he prays (all) knots will be loosened, and in the morning he will be active and in good spirits; otherwise we will be in bad spirits and sluggish in the morning."[/b:559396182c] Narrated by Muslim </span>

<span><span>To all those who abandoned it [/size:559396182c]</span></span>

<span><span>I will say to you that you have made yourself subject to the wrath and hate of Allah (swt), so watch for yourself before death comes suddenly without your knowledge, and before you find yourself saying: </span></span>

<span><span>[b:559396182c]“'Ah! Woe is me!- In that I neglected (my duty) towards Allah………….”[/b:559396182c] Surah Al-Zomer verse 56 </span></span>

<span><span>[b:559396182c]“'If only I had another chance, I should certainly be among those who do good!'”[/b:559396182c] Surah Al-Zomer verse 58 </span></span>

<span><span>So save yourself from the from the sea of whims to the right path and look for the means that will help you attend this obligatory prayer. </span></span>

<span><span>[i:559396182c]Lastly here are the means in short:[/i:559396182c] </span></span>

<span><span>1-Your intention should be faithful for Allah only, and you should have full determination and firm will to get up for Fajr prayer. </span></span>

<span><span>2-Keep away from staying up late and sleep early whenever you can. </span></span>

<span><span>3-Seek the help of your mother, father, brother, sister or neighbor ,or alarm clock to wake you up. </span></span>

<span><span>4-Always remember the importance of purity and reading the adkar that our prophet taught us to say before sleep. </span></span>

<span><span><span>Oh Allah I have conveyed the message so bear testimony. [/color:559396182c]</span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span>*Abu Bakr was Ibn Abu Musa.[/color:559396182c]</span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span>[i:559396182c]"Translated"[/i:559396182c] </span></span></span></span>

NEW CAMPAIGN – EUROPE WIDE HIJAB PROJECT

Please find details below of a new project IHRC will be working on and details

on how interested campaigners can take part.

Introduction

Sisters facing discrimination due to their wearing of hijab, or indeed any

type of Islamic dress is not a new phenomenon. As you are aware IHRC has

campaigned in the past for sisters in Turkey who have been faced with this type of

discrimination. Common scenarios have seen sisters being refused entry into higher

education, entry into employment and even refused medical assistance. In one

extreme case a family was even sentenced to the death penalty. Alhumdullillah

this was averted, see report titled “Report of IHRC Observer into the Legal

Proceedings against Huda Kaya and the Malatya 75”

http://www.ihrc.org.uk/show.php?id=54).

Since the events of September 11 2001, the subsequent

“War on Terror” and the current “War in Iraq”, attacks on sisters in hijab have

increased dramatically. IHRC documented attacks on Muslims after September 11 in

the UK in two reports titled “UK Today: The Anti – Muslim Backlash in the Wake of

11th September 2001” published in October 2001

(http://www.ihrc.org.uk/show.php?id=64) and a year later in “The Hidden Victims of

September 11: The Backlash Against Muslims in the UK”

(http://www.ihrc.org.uk/show.php?id=385), published in September 2002. The

findings showed that the sisters in hijab, i.e. those most easily identified as

Muslim bore most of the attacks, ranging from verbal, psychological and even

physical.

Similar findings were also published in the February 2000 report titled Anti

– Muslim Hostility and Discrimination in the UK, 2000

(http://www.ihrc.org.uk/show.php?id=52), which indicates that hostility towards

many Muslim women is a long-standing phenomenon.

Although IHRC’s reports focused on attacks occurring in the UK, we also

received reports of numerous cases in Europe, Australia and the USA.

It has recently emerged that in France new legislation is being proposed,

designed to curb the wearing of all religious symbols in public places. This

would have a huge impact on the many sisters in France who choose to wear the

hijab.

Hijab Project

The problems outlined above are just a fraction of the cases we hear about.

In light of the above, IHRC will be working on a Europe wide project on collecting

information about hijab discrimination.

The aims and objectives of this project are summarised below:

1. To collate Europe wide data on discrimination faced by Muslim women with

regard to their way of dress.

2. To use such data to inform policy makers of extant discrimination.

3. To use such data to map the needs of Muslim women across Europe and lobby

for local, national and regional provision for such needs as are identified.

We have prepared a questionnaire that will be used to collect cases of

discrimination and then used in a final report, to be used in parts 2 and 3 above.

IHRC are asking anyone who wishes to participate in this project to email us

at hijab@ihrc.org. We will then forward you a copy of the questionnaire, which

when filled in can be returned to us at the above email or faxed at (+44) 20 8904

5183. Alternatively if you are a member of a group and have your own list, you

may wish to forward the questionnaire and ask the group to return it to

hijab@ihrc.org.

Please be assured all information given will remain strictly private and

confidential. If there are any queries please do not hesitate to contact us at

hijab@ihrc.org, or by telephoning us on (+44) 20 8902 0888 or (+44) 20 8904 4222.

  Fighting Islam in the USA
Posted by: Muslimah - 08-04-2003, 09:03 PM - Forum: Current Affairs - Replies (8)

Three Billion Dollars is Spend Annually in U.S.A. to fight Islam

By Dr. M. Amir Ali, Ph.D.

The Anti-Islam Campaign

I recognized the beginning of an organized hate campaign against Islam in 1979 and diagnosed that it had an excellent chance of success in America due to the ignorance of Islam in the masses. Ignorance is the mother of prejudice, hate and fear. This Anti-Islam campaign had much support in the American masses.

It was reorganized and began new coordination in 1993 under the eyes of Al Gore, then Vice-President of the United States and a dedicated anti-Islam Zionist.

There are other groups who joined the anti-Islam campaign, such as Secular Fundamentalists (Atheists and agnostics), who took up the work of attacking Islam's political system, economics and culture academically using Muslim sources.

Christian Fundamentalists (Christian Zionists) took up the work of attacking the religious aspects of beliefs and practices using the Bible as well as the Qur'an and Hadith.

American Jewish Zionists began the work of coordination among all anti-Islam groups, working behind the scenes in support of the news media and the entertainment media.

Hindu Fundamentalists joined all anti-Islam forces world-wide and began their own campaign of terror and program of ethnic cleansing in India.

Slavs that include Russians and the Serbs began their own ethnic cleansing in their respective countries, Chechnya, Bosnia and Kosovo. The "democracies" of the West sat back and watched but did very little except tokenism to protect Muslims.

Now, in the name of "War on Terrorism" the U.S. has unleashed its mighty power in the War on Islam world-wide. The brainwashed ignorant masses of North America are supporting the anti-Islam policies of their government either actively or passively through their silence.

Failure by Default

Islam-hate material has been in existence in the West since the Crusades of the 11th century CE. In the 1880s the embryonic Zionist movement brought a large number of European Jews to the U.S. These new immigrant Jews acquired land and businesses and began making friends in the media and politics.

By the late 1940s the Zionists had amassed enough wealth and power to convince President Harry Truman to engineer the acceptance of the State of Israel by the United Nations and much of the West. Once their influence entered the White House, they made encroachments into the Congress and spun the national web of influence that caught every powerful group in it.

The Jews raise their children with the idea ingrained in their heads that they are the "chosen" people, which meant that they are born to rule the world. They give their young the best of education and through their job training and job placement centers, using their internal network of influential Jews, find jobs where they ! can peddle influence. In addition, the Jews helped the rise of Christian Fundamentalism, (also known as) Christian Zionists, as their allies in the Christian community.

On the other hand, Muslims began to migrate to the U.S. in significant numbers during the 1970s through 1996 when their entry was checked by the amendments to the Immigration Act. These Muslim immigrants had no political agenda but education and a better material life. Only in the 1990s did a tiny minority of Muslims become active in politics but without any long term vision or plans. In the year 2002 the situation has not changed much. Strangely, even the September 11, 2001 terror did not do much to the Muslims for real thinking and development of any long term vision. The Muslim American "leadership" remains leaderless and is suffering from a severe case of myopia.

  Tolerance in the Quran
Posted by: SisterJennifer - 08-04-2003, 05:30 PM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - No Replies

Islam is a religion of peace, respect and tolerance. These days, however, certain circles are trying to paint a false picture of Islam. Islam wants to see the world become a place of 'peace and health,' although these circles are trying to suggest the exact opposite and that there is an incompatibility between Islam and members of other religions. The fact is that Islam adopts a very just and compassionate attitude towards Jews and Christians, described as Peoples of the Book in the Qur'an.

-------------------

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]Say, 'People of the Book! come to a proposition which is the same for us and you - that we should worship none but Allah and not associate any partners with Him and not take one another as lords besides Allah.' If they turn away, say, 'Bear witness that we are Muslims.'(Surah Al 'Imran: 64)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]Today all good things have been made halal for you. And the food of those given the Book is also halal for you and your food is halal for them. So are chaste women from among the muminun and chaste women of those given the Book before you, once you have given them their dowries in marriage, not in fornication or taking them as lovers. But as for anyone who rejects iman, his actions will come to nothing and in the akhira he will be among the losers. (Surat al-Ma'ida: 5)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]

[b:dea9dad892][i:dea9dad892]Among the people of the Book there are some who have iman in Allah and in what has been sent down to you and what was sent down to them, and who are humble before Allah. They do not sell Allah's Signs for a paltry price. Such people will have their reward with their Lord. And Allah is swift at reckoning. (Surah Al 'Imran: 199)[/i:dea9dad892][/b:dea9dad892]

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair admonition, and argue with them in the kindest way. Your Lord knows best who is misguided from His way. And He knows best who are guided. (Surat an-Nahl: 125)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]...You will find the people most affectionate to those who have iman are those who say, 'We are Christians.' That is because some of them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant. (Surat al-Ma'ida: 82)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]Only argue with the People of the Book in the kindest way - except in the case of those of them who do wrong - saying, 'We have iman in what has been sent down to us and what was sent down to you. Our God and your God are one and we submit to Him.'(Surat al-'Ankabut: 46)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]...There is a community among the People of the Book who are upright. They recite Allah's Signs throughout the night, and they prostrate. They have iman in Allah and the Last Day, and enjoin the right and forbid the wrong, and compete in doing good. They are among the salihun. You will not be denied the reward for any good thing you do. Allah knows those who have taqwa. (Surah Al 'Imran: 113-115)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]

[i:dea9dad892][b:dea9dad892]Those with iman, those who are Jews, and the Christians and Sabaeans, all who have iman in Allah and the Last Day and act rightly, will have their reward with their Lord. They will feel no fear and will know no sorrow. (Surat al-Baqara: 62)[/b:dea9dad892][/i:dea9dad892]
