The Obligation of Fighting Them {Apostate rulers etc} |

Then know that this disavowal necessitates fighting these rulers, this is because if the ruler disbelieves and turns away from the Law of ar-Rahmaan (the Merciful) then he is to be fought until removed and replaced with a believer. This is the second obligation.
On the authority of ‘Ubaadah bin as-Saamit (Radiyallaahu ‘Anhu), he said, “Allaah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu ‘Alayhi wa Sallam) called us to pledge allegiance. Amongst those things he conditioned on us was to hear and obey in our times of energy and laxity, hardship and ease, even if some of our own desires are lost, and that we should not dispute the people of authority unless he said ‘you see clearcut open Kufr for which you have a proof from Allaah.’” (Agreed upon)
An-Nawawee said, “Al-Qaadee ‘Iyaad said, ‘The scholars have consensus regarding the fact that leadership cannot be given to a Kaafir, and if the ruler were to apostate, then he must be removed. This is also the case if he left establishing the prayers and calling to it….So if he disbelieves or changes the Law or innovates, then he loses the position of authority, obedience to him is dropped, and it is obligatory upon the Muslims to revolt against him, remove him, and place a just leader in his place if they are capable. If this is not possible except for a group amongst them, then it is obligatory upon them to revolt and remove the Kaafir. It is not obligatory in the case of an innovating ruler unless they think they are capable of replacing him. If they really are incapable then it is not obligatory to revolt, but the Muslim should migrate from his land to another and escape with his religion.’” (Sharh Saheeh Muslim by an-Nawawee, 12/229)
Ibn Hajr said, “Ibn at-Teen said, ‘And they agreed that if the Khaleefah called to Kufr or innovation, then he must be revolted against.’” Ibn Hajr then said, “Basically he is removed due to Kufr based upon the consensus of the scholars, so it is obligatory upon every Muslim to revolt against him.” (Fath al-Baaree 13/123)
So you see that the scholars have consensus regarding the fact that a Muslim should not approve the rule of a Kaafir over him, rather it is necessary that might and honor be for Allaah, His Messenger and the Believers, as Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says. So the submission of a Muslim to a Kaafir and his rules is a form of humiliation which is not worthy for the believer.
Also, you need to know, may Allaah Preserve you, that the status of an apostate in our religion, like these rulers, is more severe and harsh than that of original Kaafirs. Ibn Taymeeyah (Rahimahullaah) said, “According to the consensus, the disbelief of apostasy is harsher than that of original Kufr.” (Majmoo’ al-Fataawaa 28/478)
He also said, “It is affirmed in the Sunnah that the punishment for an apostate is greater than that for an original Kaafir from a number of angles. Amongst them is that the apostate is killed in all situations and no Jizyah is taken from him, nor is he given Dhimmah, unlike the original Kaafir who is not from the people of fighting. Since he is not killed according to the majority of the scholars like Aboo Haneefah, Maalik and Ahmad. For this reason it is the opinion of the majority that the apostate is killed, as in the school of thought of Maalik, al-Shaafi’ee and Ahmad. Also, an apostate does not inherit, nor can he be married, nor can the animals they slaughter be eaten, unlike the original Kaafir. There are other rules of this nature.” (Majmoo’ al-Fataawaa, 28/534)
And Imaam Ahmad denounced the act of giving the covenant of Dhimmah to an apostate. In Jaami’ al-Khallaal, he said that al-Athram said, “I heard Abaa ‘Abdillaah (Ahmad) being asked about heretics (apostates) and whether or not Jizyah can be taken from them? So he denounced such, instead he said ‘their necks should be struck by the sword, we never heard of such a thing in Islaam.’ Then he (Ahmad) said, ‘Subhaanallaah?! Jizyah being taken from the apostates?’ He was denouncing that severely. Al-Athram said, ‘He was manifesting that denunciation and stressing it.” (Part 1340)
Neigh, the scholars even believed that the apostate should not be buried:
Ishaaq bin Mansoor said, “I said to Ahmad, the apostate, if killed, what should be done with his body? He replied, ‘It should remain where he was killed so it is like that place is his grave. This pleases me.” (Part 1301)
Ibn Taymeeyah said, “Aboo Bakr as-Siddeeq (Radiyallaahu ‘Anh) and the rest of the companions, began by Jihaad against the apostates before Jihaad against the disbelievers from Ahl al-Kitaab. This is because Jihaad against these is a preservation of what has already been conquered from the Muslim lands and to force back into the religion those who want to leave it. Whereas Jihaad against those who are not fighting us amongst the Mushriks and Ahl al-Kitaab is an additional manifesting of the Deen. Preserving the capital is given priority over gains.” (Majmoo’ al-Fataawaa 35/158-159)
So the obligation upon every Muslim is to wage Jihaad against these rulers until they are removed and eliminated from authority over the Muslims. It is also obligatory upon all the Muslims to dedicate their efforts to preparing the tools of Jihaad as much as possible so as to return the authority of the Muslims to the earth which they conquered with their blood, then these accursed rulers came along and changed the faith and religion, replaced the Sharee’ah, and returned the authority of the Mushriks over the lands.
Also, know that these rulers are spreaders of corruption throughout the earth because of their hatred of this Ummah, and because of their ruling by the laws of Satan. Allaah Ordered the believers to wage Jihaad against the spreaders of corruption, He (Ta’aalaa) Says, {The punishment for those who wage war against Allaah and His Messenger and spread corruption thoughout the earth is that they should be killed, or crucified, or their hands and feet should be amputated from opposite sides, or they should be expelled from the land.}
These rulers have gathered in themselves the act of waging war against Allaah and His Messenger by turning away from the Sharee’ah of Allaah and leaving submission to the laws of the Qur’aan and Sunnah, and by spreading corruption through the earth. So the obligation is that the Muslims revolt against them until the earth is purified of them.
This matter should come to be today not tomorrow. This is because every day and moment that passes over our Ummah while these rulers are at the top of authority only leads to an increase of their evil and the Ummah distancing from the religion of Allaah (Ta’aalaa). This is because these rulers with their parties and institutions of corruption, plant roots of corruption in the societies, and use all their energy to make corruption the life, culture and food of these societies. So wisdom is not as some claim, ‘to be patient is better than rushing to fight these apostates who replaced the Sharee'ah. Rather, the truth is that every time the people of Sunnah, Da’wah and Jihaad rush to remove these apostates, they have done good to themselves and their Ummah.
Do you not see, dear brother, what the media ministers do? They spread heresy and apostasy, immorality, vices, beautifications of sins and fornication? They call to the trash and mindlessness of destructive Shirk beliefs?
Do you not see what the ministry of justice does? Legalizing the Haraam and sexual sins? Loss of rights and completely changing things over? Where is there a person who is sure he can get his rights or fend of an oppression from himself through these courts which are run by the so-called ministries of justice?
Then, do you not see these financial institutions which are run by the government? All of its matters are based upon Haraam interest. Noone is capable of securing his wealth except in these interest based banks. Noone is capable of carrying his trade on except through them. And all these loans, which they claim are only to improve people’s living conditions, are only performed with interest.
Do not forget to remember and think about the insurance plans which are forced upon people if they want to use life essentials like cars and other things.
Also, do you not see the ministry of education? See what it has done to a generation of youths who have graduated from its schools and institutions? What have they taught them and informed them about? What, from Islaam, have they reared and nurtured them on?
The days just increase the clarity of this matter, after the so-called peace initiatives with the brothers of apes and swine, when they removed every Qur’aanic verse or Hadeeth or tradition indicating the hatred the Muslim should have to his religion’s enemies. Also, they began to propagate what is called coexistence, which in reality is a destruction of the creed of Walaa’ and Baraa’. This creed which is needed for one’s Islaam to be sound, as was explained before. Also look to the rest of their educational institutions, like the colleges for higher studies and universities, and compare them to the command of Allaah (Ta’aalaa). You will see the full and clear reality of these institutions and circles, which are enforced by these Taaghoots and their aids.
So does any excuse remain for the Muslim to abstain from revolting and fighting against these rulers? When Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says, {Fight them until there is no more Fitnah and the religion is all for Allaah.} Is the religion in our lands for Allaah? Or is it mostly for other than Allaah? And just a small portion of it they claim is derived from Islaamic Sharee’ah.
So if part of the religion is for Allaah and another part for others than Him, then it is an obligation to fight these rulers and wage Jihaad until the religion is all for Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta’aalaa) alone

Statements of the Scholars Regarding the Replacers of the Sharee’ah
Our scholars have spoken about the Kufr of these religions and void legislations -- and they judged those who legislate it and act upon it, to be disbelievers and apostates.
Ibn Hazm (Rahimahullaah) said “Whoever rules by the Gospel in issues where there is no text from revelation in the Sharee’ah of Islaam, then he is a Kaafir Mushrik outside of Islaam.” (Ihkaam al-Ahkaam Fee Usool al-Ahkaam 5/153)
Also, Ibn Taymeeyah (Rahimahullaah) said, “Its known by necessity from the religion of the Muslims and by the agreement of all the Muslims, that he who permits the following of a religion other than the religion of Islaam or following a law other than the Sharee’ah of Muhammad (Sallallaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam), then he is a Kaafir.” (Majmoo' al-Fataawaa 28/524)
And he similarly says, “The Sharee'ah revealed from Allaah (Ta’aalaa), which is the Qur’aan and Sunnah that Allaah sent His Messenger with, no one from the creation is allowed to leave it. And no one leaves it but a Kaafir.” (Majmoo' al-Fataawaa 11/262)
And he says, “Whenever a person legalizes what is illegal by consensus or illegalizes what is legal by consensus or replaces the Sharee'ah that is agreed upon by consensus, then he is a Kaafir by the agreement of the scholars of Fiqh.” (Majmoo' al-Fataawaa 3/267)
Ibn Katheer (Rahimahullaah) says “So whoever leaves the clearcut Law revealed to Muhammad bin ‘Abdillaah the final of the Prophets, and refers to other sources for judgment, such as abrogated laws, then he is a Kaafir.” (al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah 13/119)
‘Abdil-Lateef bin ‘Abdir-Rahmaan Aal ash-Shaykh says, “Whoever refers to something other than the Qur’aan and Sunnah for judgment, after it being clarified to him, then he is a Kaafir. Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says, {And whoever rules by other than what Allaah Revealed, then they are disbelievers.} and Allaah Says, {Do they hope for other than Allaah…}” (ad-Durar as-Saneeyah 8/241)
‘Abdullaah bin Humayd says, “Whoever legislates a law, which is general and enforced upon the people, opposing the law of Allaah, then he has left Islaam as a Kaafir.” (Ahammiyat al-Jihaad pg. 196)
Muhammad bin Ibraaheem Aal ash-Shaykh says, “Verily from the Major clear cut Kufr is giving to the accursed manmade laws the position of that which the faithful spirit descended upon the heart of Muhammad that he should be a warner in the clear Arabic tongue, judging by it between the nations, and referring back to it when there is a disagreement, in contradiction to, and obstinate rejection of, Allaah, the Mighty and Exalted’s saying: {If you differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to Allaah and His Messenger, if you do believe in Allaah and the Last Day. That is best and more suitable for final determination.} (an-Nisaa’ 4:59) Allaah the Most Perfect and High has negated the belief of those who do not make the Prophet the judge in that about which they differ – strengthening the negation by repeating it and swearing upon it, He says: {But no, by your Lord, they can have no belief, until they make you a judge in all disputes between them, and find no resistance in themselves against your judgments, and instead submit wholeheartedly.} (an-Nisaa’ 4:65)” (Risaalat Tahkeem al-Qawaaneen)
He also mentioned in the same treatise that from the greatest types of Major Kufr of this nature, is what the modern apostates have fallen into, he said:
“Fifth: This is the greater, more comprehensive and obvious form of stubborn rejection to the Sharee’ah and haughty rejection of its rulings and showing dissent of Allaah and His Messenger, and challenging the courts of Islaamic Law, in its setting-up, maintenance, provisions, foundations and its branches, forms, types, its judgment and compulsion, references and sources. So just as the Sharee’ah courts have references and sources upon which they depend – all depending upon Allaah’s Book and the Sunnah of His Messenger – then in the same way the law-courts of the manmade laws have their sources: laws patched together from many different law-systems, like French laws, American laws, British laws, etc. and from the systems of innovators who claim allegiance to the Sharee’ah, etc. So these law-courts are now present in many Muslim lands, complete and established, with open doors and the people flock thereto in throngs; their judges give judgments going against the judgments of the Book and Sunnah – according to their own laws and making these pronouncements binding and agreeing thereto and making them unalterable, so what Kufr is greater than this, and what can be a greater contradiction of the testification that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah?”
Ash-Shaykh ash-Shinqeetee says in ‘Adwaa’ al-Bayaan “The strange thing is from those who rule by other than the Sharee’ah of Allaah, and then thereafter claims Islaam. Like Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says, {Do you not see those who claim they believe in what was revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer to false gods for judgment although they were commanded to reject them? Satan wishes to deviate them very far.} And He Says, {Whoever rules by other than what Allaah Revealed, then they are the disbelieves.} And He Says, {Should I seek someone other than Allaah as a judge although it is He who revealed to you the book that is detailed? Those who were given the book by Us know that it was revealed with truth by your Lord, so do not be from the doubters.}” (3/441)
And he said (Rahimahullaah) “Those who follow the laws of the legislators instead of the Sharee’ah of Allaah, are Mushriks associating partners with Allaah.” (4/82-83)
Shaykh Ahmad Shaakir says, “These manmade laws were forced upon the Muslims by the enemies of Islaam, who are public with their enmity. These laws, in reality, are another religion that they gave to the Muslims as a replacement to their pure and heavenly religion (of Islaam). This is because they obligated upon the Muslims obedience to this law, and planted in their hearts sanctification of it and fanaticism to it, to the point that many tongues and pens utter ‘sanctification of the law’, ‘holiness of the judgment’, ‘sacredness of the court’. They use many similar descriptions regarding manmade law which they refuse to describe the Islaamic Law by and the opinions of the Islaamic scholars of Fiqh. Instead, when they describe it, they call it reactionary, barbaric, clergy law, law of the jungle, etc.” (‘Umdat at-Tafseer 3/214)
He also says, “The matter of these manmade laws is clear as the clarity of the sun, it is open and clearcut Kufr which there is no secret or flattery about. There is no excuse for anyone who ascribes to Islaam, whoever he may be, to act upon it, or submit to it, or recognize it. So each person should be careful for himself and take note of himself.” (‘Umdat at-Tafseer 4/174)
Shaykh Muhammad Haamid al-Faqqee says, “What we can summarize from the words of the Salaf is that Taaghoot is all that deviates the slave and turns him from worshipping Allaah, being sincere in religion to Allaah, and obeying Allaah and His Messenger. This is whether that person or thing is a devil from the humans or Jinn, or if that thing is a tree or rock, etc. What is also included amongst Taaghoot, without doubt, is ruling by manmade laws which are foreign to Islaam in affairs of life, marriage, divorce, and ownership, to invalidate the Laws of Allaah, like establishment of the prescribed punishments, prohibition of interest, adultery, fornication, intoxicants, etc. These things which the manmade laws decided to legalize and defend by means of its makers and implementers. So, the laws themselves are Taaghoot, as well as those who legislate and make these laws.” (Footnotes to Fath al-Majeed)
So now we know that the law which prevails in the lands of the Muslims is a Taaghoot law and that our rulers are Taaghoot and disbelievers. They are from the worst of disbelievers and most harsh of them, for they not only ruled by the law of satan, but also declared that Allaah Exalted has no right to legislate and rule. This is clear because every single country has written in its constitution “Siyaadah (authority) is for the people.” Siyaadah in their false religion means the same as as-Sayyid (the Master) in the Religion of Allaah (Ta’aalaa), meaning the God. Because Siyaadah in their definition means unrestricted authority which has the right to determine the goodness or evil of all things and actions. In other words it is an authority to legalize and illegalize, which is the meaning of al-Haakim (The Ruler) and al-Ilaah (the God) and the one who is worshipped, as previously mentioned.
Regarding those countries which claim that they have not written manmade laws or constitutions, and claim to rule by the Qur’aan and Sunnah, then it is said to them:
What great liars and deceitful people you are, since your reality is the same as those countries which have written down constitutions and laws. Your similarity to them is like that of one crow to another. Then you claim that you did not place the authority in the hand of the people, and you did not claim that authority is for other than Allaah. So now you setup a Shooraa committee, changing the names of things to fool people only, and you have unified this committee with the parliamentary Shirk committees like the rest of your brothers. And now you enter into every single Kaafir institution like the Arab Conference and the United Nations, etc. Then you obligated the same laws from the Kufr manmade laws and constitutions, by which you legalize what Allaah Prohibited and illegalized what Allaah Permitted. You named these laws ‘regulations’, changing names although the reality is the same. So you legalized interest, and now the interest based banks are visible there with their gates wide open. So it is said to you, based upon what law was this type of action made permissible? Neigh this country we are referring to is the single country in the world which prevents the formation of what is called Islaamic banks.
Like this, oh truthful questioner, you see that our countries are ruled by apostate disbelieving governments and by disbelieving apostate rulers. And you see that they have legislated for the people a religion and forced upon the people to enter into it and comply by it.
Also these rulers gave friendship and alliance to the enemies of Allaah and at the same time gave enmity to the people of Islaam. Every single one of these rulers brings the Mushriks close to themselves, giving them friendship and alliance, aid and support, and defense. It is not permitted in the country of these rulers to ever curse these disbelievers nor to declare one’s hatred of them. They forced certain harsh punishments for anyone who dares to curse these Mushriks or their religions.
Amongst the forms of support and friendship they have given is that they made covenants of military and security pacts with them, which makes them into one religion and path. This is because the greatest form of friendship/alliance is support and aid. Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says, {Oh you who believe, do not take the Jews and Christains as friends/allies, they are friends/allies of each other. Whoever does that amongst you then he is one of them, indeed Allaah does not guide the oppressive peoples.}
Ibn Jareer at-Tabaree said in the interpretation of the same verse, “So whoever befriends them, allies with the, and supports them against the believers then he is one of the followers of their religion and way. This is because no one befriends/allies anyone else unless he is pleased with their religion. So if he is pleased with them and their religion then he has enmity to what opposes it and hates it. So his ruling is that he is one of them.” (6/277)
Now we know the Kufr of these rulers due to this cause. So these rulers gave power to the Mushriks, Jews and Christians in the Muslim Lands. Also, another example of friendship/alliance that these apostates have fallen into is obedience to the Mushriks, by submitting to them, following their laws, and joining their groups, which are the institutions following the religion of Satan, like humanitarianism. This is like their belief, ‘there is no difference between people because of religion.’ So they called to equality between the Muslims and Mushriks under the banner of humanitarianism which was propagated by the Jews amongst these animals. And Allaah (Ta’aalaa) has cut the friendship/alliance of the Muslim to a Mushrik and obligated upon him to hate the Mushrik and his religion. Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says, {Oh you who believe, do not take your fathers and brothers as friends/allies if they prefer disbelief over belief. Whoever among you allies and befriends them, then they are the oppressors.} So in this verse, Allaah Cut off all relationships of friendship/alliance between the believer and his Kaafir father or brother. So nevermind the foreigner? This also clarifies the deviance and Kufr of what is falsely called, in our lands, ‘brotherhood of citizenship.’ For under the claim of citizenship, the constitutions and laws of the lands, which are ruled by these apostates, specifies the equality of all the people of a particular land without recognizing the differences of religion and belief. They say, ‘The religion is for Allaah, but the nation is for everyone.’ And what it means is that the law of citizenship does not differ between people due to belief or religion. So the Muslim and Kaafir are equal with them, and Allaah Placed those who ally/befriend the Kuffaar equal in rule. Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Said, {And those who disbelieve are friends/allies of each other.} And from what the Prophets were united upon in conveying to the people was disavowal from the Mushriks, like Allaah (Ta’aalaa) described regarding the father of the Prophets (‘Alayhis-Salaam) {There has already been for you an excellent example to be followed in Ibraaheem and those with him, when they said to their people, "Indeed we are disassociated from you and from whatever you worship other than Allaah. We have rejected you, and there has started between us and you animosity and hatred forever until you believe in Allaah alone."} (al-Mumtahinah v. 4)
Now look at these cursed ones, see what they have done with the Muslims and the callers to Allaah -- they have hung the gallows, filled the jails, and expelled them from their lands. So every country has callers to Allaah who were put through tribulations, so they were jailed, tortured, and killed. They did not hurt them, except for the fact they believed in Allaah, al-‘Azeez al-Hameed (The Mighty and Praised). They only expelled the youth because of their purity, like Allaah (Ta’aalaa) Says regarding Loot, {Expel them from your city, for they are a people who purify themselves.}
So these rulers have left the religion of Allaah from these doors and other doors, and this is a necessary piece of knowledge which no Muslim should be ignorant of.

Assalam aleikum
This is a khutba. We should know the meaning of al wala wa bara.
Beware of the Kuffaar
by Imâm al-Madîna al-Munawarrah 'Abdul Muhsin Ibn Muhammad al-Qâsim
24 Safar, 1422 (18 May, 2001)
All praise is due to Allah. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his household and companions.
Fellow Muslims! Fear Allah as He should be feared and keep your duty to Him.
Indeed, Allaah made all of creation through His Power; He guides whomsoever He wills by His Grace, causes whomsoever He wills to go astray by His justice and writes all that is in Al-lawh Al-Mahfooz (The Preserved Tablet).
He says, “He it is who created you, then some of you are disbelievers and some of you are believers.” (At-Taghaabun 64: 2)
Allaah shows us the way to prosperity and the way to misery. He extols the pious and condemns the unbelievers and warns against their characteristics. He explains in His Great Book the unbelievers’ deeds, the falsity of their belief and their bad conduct. The kaafir denies resurrection, does not believe in predestination, is impatient in difficulty and loses hope in the mercy of Allaah.
Allaah says,
“Certainly, no one despairs of Allah’s mercy except the people who disbelieve.” (Yoosuf 12: 87)
The kaafir lies when he speaks and he is arrogant and self-deluded. Allaah says,
“
The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion.” (Al-Mulk 67: 20)
He turns away from signs of Allaah, lessons and admonitions. His heart is so full of envy that it shows itself in his eyes. He is envious of the Muslims because of their blessings and wishes that they could be taken away from them.
Allaah says,
“Neither those who disbelieve among the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians) nor the idolaters like that there should be sent down unto you any good from your Lord.” (Al-Baqarah 2: 105)
He is so shamelessly envious that he would strive to mislead you so that you will be assembled with him in the Hell-Fire. Allaah says,
“They wish that you reject faith as they have rejected (faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another).”(An-Nisaa 4: 89)
The kaafir plots against the Muslims by night and betrays them in the day. Enmity towards you is vividly shown in his face and his utterances. He bites his fingertips in severe anger against the Muslims and his inner-self is full of evil plans against them. He pretends to be trustworthy and good mannered while he is actually pursuing his own interests.
Allaah exposes them when he says,
“Hatred has already appeared from their mouths but what their breasts conceal is far worse.” (Aal-Imran 3: 118)
They hide their lies and treachery in apparent truthfulness and sincerity, please you with words of their mouths while their hearts rejects you. They argue with falsehood and conceal the truth. Their evil plots against the Muslims are great; but Allaah will render their plan fruitless, for, “the plots of disbelievers are nothing but error.”
Fellow Muslims! Following the kaafirs is disgraceful while disobeying them is might.
Allaah says,
“O Prophet! Keep you duty to Allaah and obey not the disbelievers and the hypocrites (i.e. do not follow their advice).” (Al-Ahzaab 33: 1)
Their knowledge is limited to this world and yet Sheikhul Islam said,
“All deeds and affairs of a disbeliever inevitably have a defect that prevents it from being completely beneficial to him. All his affairs are either false or defective.”
As for the knowledge of the hereafter, the disbelievers are completely ignorant of it.
Allah says,
“They know only the outside appearance of the life of the world (i.e. the matters of their livelihood, or irrigating, or reaping, or sowing, etc.) and they are heedless of the hereafter.” (Ar-Room 30: 7)
He also says,
“…But most of them behave ignorantly.” (Al-An’aam 6: 111)
Their children and wealth are but sources of distress for them. They live in confusion and their only concern in this world is eating, drinking and lustful enjoyment and their sustenance is devoid of barakah (divine blessing). They are never satisfied with little.
The Prophet said,
“The kaafir eats too much but the Muslim is satisfied with little food in order to be able to worship. He preserves a third of his stomach for his food, a third for his drink, and a third for his breath. A believer’s food is blessed.” He also said, “The food of two persons suffices three and the food of three suffices four.” (Al-Bukhaaree)
Brothers in faith! It is as a result of the kaafir’s distance from the light of guidance that they have different sects and severely differ with one another in their opinions.
Allaah says,
“They are only in opposition. So Allaah will suffice you against them. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.” (Al-Baqarah 2: 137)
Allaah also says,
“We have put enmity and hatred amongst them till the Day of Resurrection.” (Al-Maa’idah 5: 64)
The kaafirs are cowards in war and a Muslims can defeat them, though the odds are two to one. Allaah says,
“So if there are of you a hundred steadfast persons, they shall overcome two hundred, and if there are a thousand of you, they shall overcome two thousand with the leave of Allaah.” (Al-Anfaal 8: 66)
They enjoin one another in miserliness and do not entertain guest.
Allaah says,
“Those who are miserly and enjoin miserliness on other men and hide what Allaah has bestowed upon them of His bounties. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a disgraceful torment.” (An-Nisaa 4: 37)
The kaafir is a preventer of good things, eater of ill-gotten wealth, ungrateful over bounties of Allaah. Allaah says,
“They recognise the Grace of Allaah, yet they deny it and most of them are disbelievers.” (An-Nahl 6: 83)
He lives in ignorance, lustful desires and errors; he is unguided to means of uprightness; his heart, ears and eyes are all blocked from perceiving the truth, and Satan pushes him to commit sins. His preoccupation and concern is to satisfy his lust and whims, his deeds then become useless in this world and the next. His Lord does not love Him and tells that He is an enemy of the disbeliever. Whoever does a good or bad deed, Allaah will make the sign his deed manifest on him.
“Whenever Allaah hates a slave, He calls Jibreel and says, ‘O Jibreel! I, indeed, hate so-and-so therefore you must also hate him. Then Jibreel will hate him and proclaim to the inhabitants of the heaven that Allaah hates so-and-so, therefore they too should hate him, then the inhabitants of the heaven will hate him, and his hatred will then be spread among the inhabitants of the earth.” (Al-Bukhaaree & Muslim)
Lifeless objects decry kaafirs disbelief and the Blessed Land will eject them in the End of Time. Stones and trees will say,
“O Muslim! Here is a kaafir!”
When the Antichrist appears, Madinah will shake three times and the disbelievers will be expelled out of the Prophet’s city.
Fellow Muslims! Remoteness from Allaah causes psychological pain. Sins make one’s heart depressed and deny one of the pleasures of faith. The kaafirs are the worst of Allaah’s creatures. He says,
“They are the worst of creatures.” (Al-Bayyinah 98: 6)
As for their numbers, they are the majority of the inhabitants of the earth.
Allaah says,
“But most of mankind believe not.” (Hood 11: 17)
The Prophet said, ‘Allah said,
“O Adam! Bring out the contingent of the hell-fire!” Adam said, “Who are the contingents of the hell-fire?” Allaah answered, “Of every thousand, nine hundred and ninety nine.” (Al-Bukhaaree) In another version, he says, “Of every hundred, ninety nine.”
When a kaafir dies, the whole of humanity are relieved. The Prophet said,
“When a believer dies, he gets rest from the mercy of Allaah from the toils and harms of this world, but when one of the unbelievers dies, mankind, the trees and animals are relieved.” (Al-Bukhaaree)
T
he kaafir would wish to live for a thousand years but when the time of his death comes, he hates to die, and the angels smite his face and back to take his soul and when he is buried, his grave is narrowed so much that his ribs stick into one another. He will be beaten with an iron bar and he will make a cry so loud that all will hear it except man and the jinn. In a version of this hadeeth, it was reported, “If that iron bar were struck against a rock, it would make it sand.” The kaafir’s grave will be carpeted with fire and he will have a continuous torment. He will be resurrected for the reckoning with a blackened face. He will be dust-stained; covered with darkness and terrified. He will be raised up in front of all the creatures on his face. Anas bin Malik said,
‘I said, “O Messenger of Allaah! How will the kaafir be raised up on his face?” He replied, “Is He Who made him, walk on his legs in the world not able to make him walk on his face on the Day of Resurrection?” (Al-Bukhaaree)
He will be in chains on that day and the sinners will be chained together while they are thirsty, dumb, deaf, and blind. Their friends shall discuss them and shall also disown their friends. Their food shall be of Zaqqoom and their drink shall be of boiling scalding water. Another boiling water shall be poured over their heads and it will peel the skin off their bodies. While he will be burning in fire, his body will be magnified and his molar tooth will be greatly enlarged.
The Prophet said,
“A kaafir’s molar (in the fire) will be as big as Mount Uhud and the thickness of his body will be as wide as the journey of three (days).” (Muslim)
In another version of this hadeeth, he said,
“…what is in-between the two shoulders of a kafir will be as far as the journey of three days for a fast rider. That is an exact recompense, and your Lord is not all unjust to His slaves. These are the characteristics of disbelievers and their well-deserved recompense.”
Fellow Muslims! The Prophet said,
“Hasten to do good deeds against impending trials that are like parts of seriously darkened night, when a man will be a believer in the morning and become a kaafir in the evening and will a believer in the evening and become a kaafir in the morning, bartering his religion for an insignificant worldly material.” (Ahmad)
Follow the path of the pious people and observe obligatory prayers in the mosques for whoever neglects it has joined a doomed group.
The Prophet said,
“The difference between us and them is salaah. Whoever abandons it has disbelieved.”
Allah says,
“Not equal are the dwellers of the fire and the dwellers of Paradise. It is the dweller of Paradise that will be successful.” (Al-Hashr 59: 20)
Dear Muslims! Emulating a people in their outward dispositions necessitates emulating them in their inner characters. Emulating the first generation of this ummah who are the Sahaabah and at-Taabi’een increases one in intellect, religiosity and good conduct while emulating the non-Muslims in their outward characteristics leads to emulating them in their conducts and ugly deeds. It also makes one love them. Therefore differ from idolaters and disbelievers in their behaviour and opinions and beware of taking them as friends. You should hate them, disown them and their religion and be proud of your religion. Strive for their guidance and call them to Islaam.
Further, give much praise to your Lord for guiding you to the right path and ask for firmness in faith. Be truthful with Allaah, you will have your affair made easy for you and cast resentment and ill-will out of your heart and people will love you.

Allaah Ta3aalaa Says (translation of approximate meanings):
{Nor (is there blame) upon those who, when they came to you that you might give them mounts, you said: "I can find nothing for you to ride upon." They turned back while their eyes overflowed with tears out of grief that they could not find something to spend.} (at-Tawbah v. 92)
So their eyes overflowed with tears for not being able to join (due to lack of transportation) nor being able to financially support the Messenger, Sallallaahu Alayhi wa Sallam, and the Muslims at Taabook.
Are your eyes overflowing with tears brother?
If not, you should really evaluate your sincerity, and wake up when the Lord Comes down to the Lowest Heaven, and beg him in your Sujood to forgive you and make you a participant in His Cause.

Assalam aleikum
I was just reading a post regarding visiting the graveyard at night and i would like to give naseeha to all muslims regarding death.
This ramadan i thought about the grave alot and i thought how small and dark it will be, except for those whom Allah tala blesses with noor. And i thought how alone we will be, in life when things go wrong we have our families and friends who love us and comfort us. And of course, a muslim always should turn to Allah tala. But in the grave all we have is our iman and deeds. The test has ended, and we have either won or failed. And may Allah tala grant us sakina ameen.
And not much is written by the ulemah on barzakh.
This ramadan i was diagnosed with cancer and the all doctors thought i was too young to have this form of cancer. But Allah tala does as He Wills and He tala Loves to purify us. Alhamduillah.
And the first thing i thought of when the doctors told me and said they weren't sure how far it had spread, was SubhanAllah would my grave be extended or restricted? Will Allah tala strengthen me when the angels come to question me? Was my tawba sincere?
But Alhamduillah Allah makes the test easy for the muslim and Alhamduillah my recovery is good Inshallah. And to Allah we belong and to Allah we return.
We don't remember death enough, although rasulullah told us to remember death often. We think death is a long way off but maybe not!
And doesn't Allah tala say: Some we take in youth and some live long and after knowing alot, know nothing.
I advise all my brothers and sisters to remember death often and imagine the grave. It is a reality none can avoid. An Nadhr bin Ishmael said I heard Abu Darr saying in one of his speeches “Concerning death, then it has been announced to you such that you are looking at it day and night”. And may Allah subhana wa tala make our last deeds our best deeds. ameen.
This is a khutba on death and its in 2 parts this is part 1
A Khutba on Death
Death Part 1
Yaa IbaadAllaah, take heed of what Allaah says in the Qur'aan:
"Everyone is going to taste death, and We shall make a trial of you with evil and good, and to Us you will be returned." (21:35)
Indeed, Allaah's promise will be fulfilled. The Death is something so inevitable, yet so very often forgotten.
Each day that passes, each day we breathe, each day we go about our lives, sinning or doing good, is but a day closer to our end, closer to our return to our Creator - Allaah the All-Mighty. Many of us, have at some point in our lives, lost a close relative or a close friend. True, we shed tears, we show remorse and we show sadness - but I ask you yaa IbaadAllaah, what did you learn?, how did you reflect it upon you own self ???
Allaah says in the Qur'aan
"Then why do you not [intervene] when [the soul of a dying person] reaches the throat?" (56:83)
"And you at the moment are looking on." (56:84)
"But We [i.e. Our Angels that take the soul] are nearer to him than you, but you see not." (56:85)
Perhaps you think that death is yet a distance from you and you will not taste it until at a later age, or perhaps when you think that you are better prepared for it's coming....and indeed this way of thinking arises only from falsehood!
It was once said "The night and the day are like two treasure-chests. So be careful of what you do in them."
Mujaahid (d.104H) said, "Not a day passes which does not say 'O son of Adam, I have come to you today and I will never come to you again, So be careful of what you do during my stay!'"
When the day has passed, it is folded up and sealed, never to be re-opened by anyone until Allaah re-opens it on the Day of Judgement!
There is a poem that goes :
"Life is nothing other than a road,
that leads to the Garden,
or to the Fire.
Its night's are a man's workshop,
And its days are his market place,
So time is surely the servants capital."
Many a times are we told off about the death in the light of the Qur'aan and Sunnah.
"It is Allaah who takes away the souls at the time of their death, and [the souls] of those that do not die during their sleep. He retains those souls for which He has ordained death, whereas He releases the rest for an appointed term. Verily, in this are signs for a people who think deeply." (39:42)
See you not then, that Allaah has already decreed the time of your death, be you going about your daily business or be you asleep - your time has been written and your soul will be taken out accordingly to your deeds.
Look to what the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam said about those who disbelieved in Allaah ...
"The Angel of death says...'O you foul soul, come out to the anger and wrath of your Lord'. The soul inside the disbeliever's body is overcome by terrible fear [and does not want to deliver itself up], whereupon the Angel of death violently pulls it out like multi-pronged skewers being yanked out of wet wool - tearing with them the arteries and nerves." (Hadith Saheeh)
But for those who believed in Allaah, then ...
"The angel of death comes to the dying believer, sits at his head and says 'O you good soul, come out and receive your Lords forgiveness and pleasure'. Then the soul slows out effortlessly, just as water flows from the mouth of a water skin." (Hadith Saheeh)
Ya IbaadAllaah, these are but only a few reminders from the Qur'aan and Sunnah. Indeed our time of leaving the Dunya is but closer than we think. But are we prepared for it's coming?, have we truly been dutiful to Allaah's commands in this life? Have our hearts become so hard that we shed no tears out of fear of meeting with out Lord? What will you do? What will you say? After death has come unto you? - Indeed those who did wrong in this life, will surely wish they could come back to this life and to have another chance to do good, and by this time, it will be too late ...
And Allaah gives us a clear warning in the Qur'aan ...
"And of no effect is the repentance of those who continue to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says: 'Now I repent' Nor of those who die while they are disbeliever's. For them we have prepared a painful torment." (4:18)
It is reported that al-Bara 'bin 'Azib said: "We went out with the Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam in order to participate in the funeral rites of a man from the Ansar. We arrived at the grave, but the inner chamber had not been prepared yet; so Allaah's Messenger sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam sat down facing the direction of the Qiblah, and we sat around him so attentively that it was as if birds were sitting upon our heads. He had a stick in his hand with which he sketched upon the ground. Then he began looking alternately to the heavens and to the earth, raising his gaze and then lowering it. Finally, he said two or three times, 'Seek refuge in Allaah from the torment of the grave.' Then he said, 'O Allaah, verily I seek refuge in You from the torment of the grave.' He repeated it three times, then he elaborated,
'Verily, when the believing servant is leaving this world and entering the next, angels from the heavens descend to him - their faces white with brightness like the sun and carrying with them burial sheets and scents from Paradise. They sit before him at a distance as far as the eye can see. Then the Angel of Death (upon whom be peace) comes to the person, sits at his head and says, "O good soul [and in another narration "O confident soul"], come out to your Lord's forgiveness and pleasure. "' [The Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam continued],
'
There upon the soul flows out of the body like water flowing from the mouth of a water skin, and all of the angels between the skies and the earth supplicate for Allays blessing upon him. The doors of the heavens are opened for him, and the keepers of these doors [i.e., the angels all plead with Allaah that this soul might pass in front of them as it is being carried upward. The Angel of Death barely receives the soul in his hands, whereupon the other angels take it from him and wrap it with fragrant winding sheets. This is what is meant by Allaah's saying,
"Our messengers [i.e., angels] seize his soul, and they do not fall short of their duty."'
Then the Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam said, 'There exudes from the soul a scent like the most beautiful fragrance of musk that one could find on the face of the earth. The angels ascend with the soul never passing a host of angels without hearing them ask, "Who is this wonderful soul?" They reply, "So and so, the son of so and so," addressing him with the best names he was known by during his earthly life.
Upon reaching the first heaven, the angels request that it be opened for the soul - which is granted The soul is then accompanied by the angels of each heaven until it reaches the one above it and finally arrives at the seventh heaven. Then
Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, says [to the angels], "Place the record of My servant in 'illiyyun."'
"And what will explain to you what 'illiyyun' is? [it is] a written record, witnessed by those brought near to their Lord." (83:19-21)
The person's record is then placed in 'illiyyun, whereupon a command is heard: "Return him to the earth, for verily I have promised mankind that having created them from the earth, I will return them to it. And l will make them come out of it, yet another time. " Then the soul is returned to the earth back into its body. Verily, the deceased hears the shuffling feet of his companions who attended his burial as they tam away and leave his grave.
Thereupon, two angels, severe in interrogation come to him, and sitting him up, they begin to ask him questions. They say, "Who is your Lord?" He replies, 'Allaah is my Lord. " They continue, "What is your religion?" He answers, 'Islam is my religion " They proceed with the questioning, saying, "Who is this man that has been sent to you?" He responds, 'He is the Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam." Finally, they ask him about his deeds, to which he replies, 'I read Allaah's Book and believed in it."' (In another narration the Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam indicated that the angels ask, "Who is your Lord, what is your religion and who is your prophet?" [Allaah's Messenger sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam explained that] this was the believer's last test, and it is what is meant when Allaah says,
"Allaah strengthens those who believe with a firm testimony in this worldly life and in the Hereafter."
The deceased answers, "Allaah is my Lord, Islam is my religion, and my prophet is Muhammad."
[The Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam then indicated, 'Upon the believer's answer to these questions], a voice is heard in the heavens, saying, "My servant has told the truth, so clothe him in the clothing of Paradise, spread for him the furnishings of Paradise, and open for him a window with a view of Paradise." Thereupon, he is engulfed by a breeze of fresh air and fragrance, while the expanse of his grave is extended before him as far as the eye can see.
There appears before him a man with a wonderful face and beautiful clothing, emitting a splendid fragrance. He says to the soul, "Rejoice at the news which will gladden you! Rejoice at Allaah's pleasure and His Paradise, whose joys and delights never end. This is the day which you were promised."
The deceased says to him, "And who are you, for your face bears glad tidings.?! " The figure answers, "I represent your good deeds; by Allaah, I've always known you to be quick in obedience to Allaah and slow to His disobedience. So may Allaah award you with good."
Then a door to Paradise is opened, and a door to the Fire is opened, whereupon his said to him [regarding the Hell fire], "This would have been your final abode had you disobeyed Allaah; however, it has been exchanged for this other abode [i.e., Paradise]. " When the soul sees what is in Paradise, he cries, "My Lord, hasten the arrival of the Hour [i.e., the Resurrection] so that I may be joined with my family and wealth." There upon it is said to him, "Rest in tranquillity. "'
But how many of us can call ourselves true believers? Such that we would be good enough to receive such a reward?
Allaah's Messenger sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam continued, 'When the disbelieving servant and in another narration "sinful servant"] is about to leave this world and enter the next, angels, powerful and severe, descend to him from the heavens - their faces black and carrying with them coarse strips of cloth from Hell. They sit before him at a distance as far as the eye can see.
Then the Angel of Death arrives, and sitting at the head of the disbeliever, he says, "O you foul soul, come out to the anger and wrath of your Lord." The soul inside the disbeliever's body is overcome by tenable fear [and does not want to deliver itself up], whereupon the Angel of Death violently pulls it out like multi-pronged skewers being yanked out of wet wool - tearing with them the arteries and nerves.
Upon this, the soul is cursed by every angel between the earth and the heavens and by those inside the heavens. Then the doors of the heavens are closed to him, and every single guard at these doors begs Allaah that this soul not be carried up in front of him.
'The Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam continued, 'The Angel of Death barely receives the soul in his hands, whereupon the other angels grasp it from him and wrap it up in coarse cloth. There emits from it the foulest odour that could be found on the face of the earth. They ascend with it, never passing a host of angels without being asked, "Who is this ugly soul?" They reply, "So and so, the son of so and so, " using the worst names by which he was known in this world.
When they arrive at the lowest heaven, they request that it be opened for this soul, but the request is denied. ' At this point Allaah 's Messenger sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam recited the verse:
"The gates of the heavens will not be opened for them, nor will they enter the Garden of Paradise until a camel goes through the eye of a needle."
After that, he continued, 'Then Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic, says [to the angels], "Place his record in sijjeen [a book which contains all of the deeds of the devils and the disbeliever's]- in the lowest earth Return My servant to the earth, for verily I have promised mankind that having created them from the earth, I will return them to it. And I will make them come out of it, yet another time."
Upon this command, the deceased [disbeliever's] soul is thrown down from the sky until it lands in its body. ' The Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam then recited the verse:
"And whoever ascribes partners with Allaah, it is as though he had fallen from the sky, such that birds snatch him up or the wind throws him to a remote place."
Then he commented, 'Verily [when the soul is returned to its body], the deceased hears the sound of his companions' footsteps as they tam away from his grave.' [The Prophet sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam resumed his explanation, saying 'Then two angels, severe in interrogation come to him, and sitting him up, they begin to question him, who is your Lord? He replies, 'Hah! Hah! (an expression describing a state of surprise, shock and pain) I don't know. " They continue by asking him, "What is your religion?" He answers, 'Hah! Hah! I don t know. ' so they ask, "Then what do you say about this man who was sent to you?" [The disbeliever does not appear to understand who they are referring to, so it is said] 'Muhammad. " Again he states, 'Hah! Hah! I don t know. I only heard people talking about him." Then it is said, "You did not know! And you did not read!"
There upon a voice from the heavens is heard, 'He has lied! So spread out for him a place from the Fire and open for him a window to the Fire."
The searing hot winds of Hell engulf him while his grave closes in upon him, crushing him until his ribcage is broken by the force - causing the ribs of one side to intertwine with the ribs of the other Then there appears to him a person with an ugly face and ugly clothing and exuding a foul odour, who says, "Tidings of evil to you, for this is the day which you were promised!" The deceased says to him, 'And you, too; may Allaah give you evil tidings! Who are you, for yours is a face which portends evil."
The person rejoins, 'I represent your wicked deeds. By Allaah, I have always known you to be slow in obedience to Allaah and quick in disobedience to Him. May Allaah reward you with evil!"
Then one who is deaf, dumb and blind and is carrying an iron rod is sent to the deceased. If he were to strike a mountain with it, the mountain would disintegrate into rubble. He strikes the deceased with a blow, which turns him into dust. Allaah returns the deceased to his original form, whereupon he is struck a second time. This causes him to shriek with such violence that it is heard by all of creation except mankind and jinn.
Then a door to the Fire is opened, and beddings of the Fire are spread for him, whereupon he cries, "Lord, do not establish the Hour! "

Assalaamu Alaykum,
I know this has nothing to do with the topic but I have questions pertaining to marriage. I know many of us sisters in USA who are single are finding it very hard to find good Muslim man who are obedient to Allaah as well as will be kind and good to their wives. Many of us dont want to marry relatives or guys from overseas as this will be difficult for us and for understand and then we cannot actually 'find' a spouse either because that will entail breaking a lot of rules. Please offer any suggestions. The matrimonial websites online, I dont think they will be that good(or I really dont know:confused: )
So I dont know, please make dua' for your sisters in Islaam. Many of us dont want to be in a situation where we are sad. It is quite easy to bash sisters( and I dont mean advising them to correct the wrong actions, I mean bashing them, when nowadays Muslim men are as mean and disobedient to Allaah's commandments as Muslim women) Wallaahu alim.
Please reply soon,
sister in Islaam,
the needy before Allaah.

Question:
Noble Shaykh Hamood bin 'Uqlaa` ash-Shu'aybi, may Allah preserve him
Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, to proceed:
It is frequently mentioned in some national summits, a belief that, in summary states that Islaam respects the other heavenly religions, and that there is no
difference between these religions and Islaam; this theory has had conferences and gatherings held for its promotion, and some leaders in the Islaamic world have upheld it.
What is the ruling on this matter? May Allah bless you, keep you firm on the truth and help you to do good.
Answer:
Praise be to Allah Lord of the Worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the most honourable of the Messengers, our Prophet Muhammed, and upon his family and companions. To proceed:
In recent times we have heard several deviated calls and strange terminology have begun idealogically attacking the Muslims. Internally it is disbelief and apostasy, but masked with deceiving terms like "conferences", "meetings of dialogue with other religions", "Interfaith movements", "globalisation", and some political statements on respecting religions.
The upholders of this call claim that gloalisation is the sole way to unite people upon one path, by which religious and ethinic differences will dissappear so to have world peace, and the enemies of this religion have paid much attention to finding excuses and convincing means to reach their objectives, and now they have begun to openly talk of the necessity of peace between religions and of respective religions and recognising them.
The new world order - or what is known as globalisation - is a chief factor in reviving this evil call, and for this reason we notice the numerous calls and conferences in favour of this matter, we hear them from the secularists and some modernists and from kings, leaders and politicians that thought of as Muslims.
And, let it be known that the inter-faith call is an old one, it was found amongst the heretic Soofiyyah, from amongst the panthiests, like Ibn Sab'een, Ibn Hood and at-Tilmisaani; they permit being a Jew, Christian and Muslim and the following of these three religions (See al-Fataawaa, 14/164). It was also upheld by the Tatar and their ministers, Ibn Taymiyyah, 'alayhi rahmatullah said of them: "And likewise the heads of their ministers and other than them, they make the religion of Islaam like the religion of the Jews and Christians, and that all these are paths to Allah, akin to the Muslims having four mathaahib.(al-Fataawaa, 28/523).
It was then revived by Jamaaladeen al-Afghaani in the last century and he was helped in this by his student Muhammed 'Abdah; in the present time it has been adopted by Roger Garaudy in what he called the treaty of al-Ishbeeliyyah*, and now it has been adopted by some modernists, rationalists, some polititicians by guard of the leaders of the new world order.
Ibn Taymiyyah, 'alayhi rahmatullah (al-Fataawaa 28/524) said: "And it is known by necessity in the religion of the Muslims, and by agreement of all the Muslims that the one who permits following other than the religion of Islaam, or following a Sharee'ah other than the Sharee'ah of Muhammed, sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam is a disbeliever".
Shaykh Muhammed bin 'Abdulwahaab, 'alayhi rahmatullah states in his ten nullifications that the one who does not do takfeer of the polythiests or doubts their disbelief or corrects their religion, disbelieves by consensus.
Ibn Hazm, rahimahullah in Maraatib al-Ijmaa', page 119: "They agreed to call the Jews and Christians disbelievers (kufaar).
al-Qaadi 'Iyaad, rahmatullahi 'alayhi says, in ash-Shifaa`, "For this reason, we declare disbelievers (nukaffir) everyone who follows other than the religion of Islaam, and follows other than it from the religions, or doubts their disbelief or corrects their belief, even if alongside that he claims Islaam".
What the scholars have mentioned regarding the takfeer of the one who corrects the religion of the Jews and Christians is based on the fact that, by that statement, the one saying it is calling Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala a liar and is denying the Qur'aan, for He says: "And whoever seeks a religion other than the religion of Islaam, then it will never be accepted of him" and, "The religion with Allah is Islaam".
Likewise, it consequently results in him declaring the Prophet, 'alayhis-salaatu was-salaam a liar, for it is narrated authenticly from him, 'alayhis-salatu was-salaam the abrogation of all other religions other than Islaam for he, after seeing a page of the Torah in the hand of Ameer al-Mu`mineen, 'Umar bin al-Khattaab, radiallahu 'anh became very angry and said, "Are you in doubt O Son of al-Khattaab?" and in another wording, "Are you confused by it, O Ibn al-Khattaab? I have come with it [religion] clear and white, and by Allah if my brother Moosa was alive, he wouldn't have had choice except to follow me". Abu Hurayrah, radiallahu 'anh narrates the he said: "Some people from the companions of the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam used to write the Torah, so they mentioned that to the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu 'alayhi wa salam, so he said: 'The peak of stupidity and misguidance is found in a people who went to other than what their Messenger came with".
So it is clear, from these texts that I have mentioned and their like from what I didn't, the aborgation and falsehood any religion other than the religion of Islaam, and how strange it is that some the leaders of the Muslims are justifying this false view, and openly declare in their summits that they call to brotherhood amongst the heavenly Abrahaimic faiths.
Is it possible for a sane Muslim to assume that there is any other eternal religion other than Islaam, after they had been abrogated by the Sharee'ah of Muhammed, 'alayhis-salatu was-salam. Knowing that, Abrahamic faiths like Judaism and Christianity have been infiltrated with additions, alterations and removals, due to what the clerics of evil and misguidance did. The Most High says, "So woe to those who write the book with their own hand and then say, this is from Allah, to purchase with it a small gain". He also said, "Who then sent down the Book which Moosa brought, a light and a guidance to mankind which you (the Jews) have made into (separate) papersheets, disclosing (some of it) and concealing (much).". And yet, despite this changing and alteration that occured, it was still abrogated by the Sharee'ah of Muhammed, 'alayhis-salaatu was-salam and it declared them false.
We ask Allah, subhaanah to grant victory to His religion and to raise His word, and peace and blessings be upon Muhammed, his family and companions.

Well John this is going to be a very long post be patient and read it all.
Quote:Say, I have done a bit more research on this stoning thing (it's a pet project) and I cannot find anywhere in the Quran where it says an adulterer is to be stoned. The verse that prescribes the punishment for adultery is 100 \"stripe\"
First john, what our profit says is not a pet thing, i would like to draw your attention that this is an insult to our prophet, I hope u do not say it again. If u do not beleive in him it is your own issue, but do not insult him with such words on this board.
Quote:024.002YUSUFALI: The woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.
PICKTHAL: The adulterer and the adulteress, scourge ye each one of them (with) a hundred stripes. And let not pity for the twain withhold you from obedience to Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of believers witness their punishment.
SHAKIR: (As for) the fornicatress and the fornicator, flog each of them, (giving) a hundred stripes, and let not pity for them detain you in the matter of obedience to Allah, if you believe in Allah and the last day, and let a party of believers witness their chastisement.
Nothing about stoning here is there ?
Do ANY of you study the Quran ?
Yes we do study Quran and sunna john we do, we are muslims, we read it every day and we know every word in it, the problem u don't, u take bits and pieces and what suits your needs.
You must know that Quran, the miracle of the prophet from Allah almighty like he gave all other profits miracles referring to their time, at Moses time the society then was influnced by magic, so Allah gave him the real power of magic
in front of their tricks, and the first that were to beleive were the magicians themselves. Jesus peace be upon him who never said that he was god, and he was not crucified was given the power to cure people and waken them from death and all by the will of Allah, because his time was the era of medicine and doctors, so it suited his time, and our prophet Mohammad (pbuh) the arabs, were known to be eloquent in arabic and poetry, so Allah allmighty sent the Quran to them in eloquent arabic and he defied them to come with one verse only the same as his, and of course no one couldn't.
In the name of God most Gracious most merciful:
23. And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Qur'ân) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him ), then produce a Sûrah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allâh, if you are truthful.
24. But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
Surat al Baqara
37. And this Qur'ân is not such as could ever be produced by other than Allâh (Lord of the heavens and the earth), but it is a confirmation of (the revelation) which was before it [i.e. the Taurât (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.], and a full explanation of the Book (i.e. laws and orders, etc, decreed for mankind) - wherein there is no doubt from the the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinns, and all that exists).
38. Or do they say: \"He (Muhammad ) has forged it?\" Say: \"Bring then a Sûrah (chapter) like unto it, and call upon whomsoever you can, besides Allâh, if you are truthful!\"
39. Nay, they deny that; the knowledge whereof they could not compass and whereof the interpretation has not yet come unto them. Thus those before them did deny. Then see what was the end of the Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.)!
surat Yunis
13. Or they say, \"He (Prophet Muhammad ) forged it (the Qur'an).\" Say: \"Bring you then ten forged Sûrah (chapters) like unto it, and call whomsoever you can, other than Allâh (to your help), if you speak the truth!\"
14. If then they answer you not, know then that the Revelation (this Qur'ân) is sent down with the Knowledge of Allâh and that Lâ ilâha illa Huwa: (none has the right to be worshipped but He)! Will you then be Muslims (those who submit to Islâm)? surat hood
88. Say: \"If the mankind and the jinns were together to produce the like of this Qur'ân, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they helped one another.\"
89. And indeed We have fully explained to mankind, in this Qur'ân, every kind of similitude, but most mankind refuse (the truth and accept nothing) but disbelief. Surat Alisraa
49. Say (to them, O Muhammad ): \"Then bring a Book from Allâh, which is a better guide than these two [the Taurât (Torah) and the Qur'ân], that I may follow it, if you are truthful.\"
50. But if they answer you not (i.e. do not believe in your doctrine of Islâmic Monotheism, nor follow you), then know that they only follow their own lusts. And who is more astray than one who follows his own lusts, without guidance from Allâh? Verily! Allâh guides not the people who are Zâlimûn (wrong-doers, disobedient to Allâh, and polytheists).
51. And indeed now We have conveyed the Word (this Qur'ân in which is the news of everything to them), in order that they may remember (or receive admonition). Surat Alqasas
30. Or do they say: \"(Muhammad is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time.!\"
31. Say (O Muhammad to them): \"Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!\"
32. Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad )] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allâh to disbelief).
33. Or do they say: \"He (Muhammad ) has forged it (this Qur'ân)?\" Nay! They believe not!
34. Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Qur'ân) if they are truthful. Surat At-tur
So here first of all, ayas that is proof from Allah almighty, and if u go to any arabic linguistic who is so eloquent in arabic and ask him to produce one aya he will never be able to do, the original arabs at that time couldnt, can any1 now?
Well if u tell me that u do not beleive in God, which I dont know if u do or not, I will translate a dialogue I read from a book by shikh Mohammad Alghazaly(may allah bless his soul) The dialogue was between him and a non beleiver) from a book called the missiles of truth(I will try to be brief):
The non beleiver said: if God created the world , then who created God?
The shikh answered: it seems that u by asking this question or objection u assure that there must be a creator for evrything.
he said: dont throw me in a maiz answer my question.
the sheikh said: well u see that the universe does not have a creator, that its creation is from its own self it does not need a creator, so y then do u accept the saying that the universe is founded by itself from eternity, and then u are amazed that we relegious men say say that god who created the universe has none equal to his entity.
it is the same issue, y do u beleive yousrelf when u decide it and deny it when others decide it , and if u see that
a god without a creator is a myth then a universe without a creator is a myth.
he said: we live in this world we feel it we cannot deny it.
the sheikh said: we did not ask u to deny it but we think when we ride a car or plane that flies, does it fly by itself, or does a well trained captain flies it?. So I come back to your question, it is turned against u, me and u we confess that there is a universe, a world that is being, we cannot deny it, u claim that there is no begning for it as a material, and i say and confirm that there is no begning for the existance of the creator. So if u want to mock from what does not be byhimself mock urself.
he said: u mean the mind assumption is the same for both.
the sheikh said: I will continue with u to show the emptiness and simulation u stand on, and the mind assumption is not the same between beleivers and non beleivers.
Me and u we look at a castle that has been built, so after an expertise look I see that a professional architect built it, and u see it with its wood stone and paint, has been put together by itself, and is ready for people to live in it by itself. The difference between our theories, is that u c a satelite turning in space u say: that it outburst in the universe by itself, without any supervison or command. I say it was outburst by a plotted scheme. we live over the earth that is designed beautifully, and under a well built sky, and we have a brain that we can by it search and decide and with it we look , find discuss and beleive, we refuse being like others who are so stupid to deny the existance of God. We Muslims , beleivers build our faith in Allah Almighty on basis of rationalism we read the existance of God Th Almighty by letting our minds travel within the deep space, and we feel his existance. We look at everything in this universe, on earth we look at the plants the flowers the beings each different, the food we eat who made it sweet or sour, the weather who made cold and hot, who created all this, there must be a one who is unique
never begot or was begotten .
this was the basis of the dialogue , there is a lot more, but I cant write it all.
So here we are done with that issue. then we will come to Prophet Mohammad and him being messenger of Allah.
In the Name of Allah Most Merciful Most Grateful :
29. Muhammad () is the Messenger of Allâh, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allâh and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurât (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allâh has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islâmic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise). Surat Alfath
44. Muhammad () is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)? And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allâh, and Allâh will give reward to those who are grateful. Surat Al-Umran
1. Those who disbelieve [in the Oneness of Allâh, and in the Message of Prophet Muhammad ], and hinder (men) from the Path of Allâh (Islâmic Monotheism), He will render their deeds vain .
2. But those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is sent down to Muhammad (), for it is the truth from their Lord, He will expiate from them their sins, and will make good their state.
3. That is because those who disbelieve follow falsehood, while those who believe follow the truth from their Lord. Thus does Allâh set forth their parables for mankind. Surat Muhammad
128. Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad ) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad ) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allâh, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins, in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire), for the believers (he is) full of pity, kind, and merciful.
129. . But if they turn away, say (O Muhammad ): \"Allâh is sufficient for me. Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), in Him I put my trust and He is the Lord of the Mighty Throne.\" Surat At-Taubah
So these ayas are proof that Mohammad is the prophet, and there are others but cant put all here.
we go back to the stoning matter and that it is not mentioned in the Quran, well u must know that there are the sciences of the Quran that are the translations of the Quran, because Allah's allmighty words are not like humans they need explanations, so on that basis came the science of hadeeth
figh and tafseer. There were so many issues not explained thouroughly in the Quran, because human beings if u want to explain everything to them in every bit and peice u will have to talk and talk and talk, but Allah all divine in short and precise verses conveys messages to the prophet and it was explained to him by gabriel. So whatever is told to us by the prophet we beleive and do by it because in the Quran Allah allmighty says :
In the name of Allah most Gracious Most Merciful:
7. What Allâh gave as booty (Fai') to His Messenger (Muhammad ) from the people of the townships, - it is for Allâh, His Messenger (Muhammad ), the kindred (of Messenger Muhammad ), the orphans, Al_Masâkin (the poor), and the wayfarer, in order that it may not become a fortune used by the rich among you. And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad ) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it) , and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment.
Surat Al-Hashr
33. O you who believe! Obey Allâh, and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ) and render not vain your deeds. Surah Muhammad
32. Say (O Muhammad ): \"Obey Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad ).\" But if they turn away, then Allâh does not like the disbelievers. Surat Al-'Imran
69. And whoso obeys Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad ), then they will be in the company of those on whom Allâh has bestowed His Grace, of the Prophets, the Siddiqûn (those followers of the Prophets who were first and foremost to believe in them, like Abu Bakr As_Siddiq ), the martyrs, and the righteous. And how excellent these companions are! Surah An-Nisa'
59. O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allâh and His Messenger (), if you believe in Allâh and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination.
Surah An-Nisa'
80. He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad ), has indeed obeyed Allâh, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad ) as a watcher over them. Surah An-Nisa'
54. Say: \"Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away, he (Messenger Muhammad ) is only responsible for the duty placed on him (i.e. to convey Allâh's Message) and you for that placed on you. If you obey him, you shall be on the right guidance. The Messenger's duty is only to convey (the message) in a clear way (i.e. to preach in a plain way).\"
55. Allâh has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh). Surah An-Nur
92. And obey Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad ), and beware (of even coming near to drinking or gambling or Al_Ansâb, or Al_Azlâm, etc.) and fear Allâh. Then if you turn away, you should know that it is Our Messenger's duty to convey (the Message) in the clearest way.
Surat Al-Ma'idah'
So these are some ayas that asks us to obey Allah and the prophet, whatever he says is from Allah, he does not say anything from himself Allah Almighty said
In the Name of God most gracious Most Merciful:
38. So I swear by whatsoever you see,
39. And by whatsoever you see not,
40. That this is verily the word of an honoured Messenger [i.e. Jibrael (Gabriel) or Muhammad which he has brought from Allâh].
41. It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe!
42. Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember!
43. This is the Revelation sent down from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
44. And if he (Muhammad ) had forged a false saying concerning Us (Allâh),
45. We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might),
46. And then certainly should have cut off his life artery (Aorta),
47. And none of you could withhold Us from (punishing) him.
48. And verily, this Qur'ân is a Reminder for the Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2).
49. And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Qur'ân). [Tafsir At-Tabarî, Vol. 29, Page 68]
50. And indeed it (this Qur'ân) will be an anguish for the disbelievers (on the Day of Resurrection).
51. And Verily, it (this Qur'ân) is an absolute truth with certainty .
52. So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. SurahAl-Haqqah
So whatever he says is from Allah, he does not fortify issues, when he says sinners to be stonned it means they should be stonned because it is by revelation from Allah, it is mentioned in the hadeeth, and what is in the hadeeth is the truth, because Allah ordered us to obey the profit, So I think this will cut your issue about that it is not mentioned in the Quran.
Quote:Some aspects of Sharee'ah may well have some ethical and moral value. Although I am not religious myself, I recognise that at the base of humans morals and ethics can be derived from religion. The punishments however are an abonimation to mankind and need to be \"abrogated\" to bring it in line with the times we now live in. Why some muslims want to hark back to the savagery of 7th century arabia is beyond me.
Islam is not savagery, when u commit something against mankind u have to be punished, so u will not ruin the rest, in the time of the Islamic Khilafa, there was little stealing or fornication it was a clean society, because the Islamic law was implemented exactly as Allah ordered, u say it is not suitable for these days, tell me what is, stealing killing commiting Adultry, u call this civilization, what kind of civilization is this, that u r free to do what u want without being punished. You will say the stealer we will put him in jail, ok they are being put in Jails, do they come out better citezens, no they come out worse, they steal more, but when u cut one mans hand from its limp the others will be afraid and will not steal, just like in a company if u do something wrong, the company will not tell u o never mind it is ok we will be civilized and not punish u, when he is punished the rest will know that there is strong management and they will abide by the rules and regulations. So simple as that
John, God created us he knows what is best for us, if an engineer built a machine of some kind and it needs maintenance would u bring a plumber to fix it, same the human being Allah created us he knows what we think what we feel, he knows what is best for us, so we do not go saying that human laws are better for us from God. This is what I haave for now, I am tired it is quite late, I know it was a very long post, but I hope u c some light between
the lines, and be assested by the site I gave u , Tafseer Ibn Katheer. And start reading Quran verse by verse with its translation, and stop telling us that we do not read the Quran.
peace
