Just a story!!!!
A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree.
A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday.
He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow...
He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
Time went by...the little boy had grown up,
And he no longer played around the tree every day.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
"Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy.
"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more"
The boy replied.
"I want toys. I need money to buy them."
"Sorry, but I do not have money...
But you can pick all my apples and sell them.
So, you will have money.
" The boy was so excited.
He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily.
The boy never came back after he picked the apples.
The tree was sad.
One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned
And the tree was excited "Come and play with me" the tree said.
"I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family.
We need a house for shelter.
Can you help me?
" Sorry”,
But I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches
To build your house.
" So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.
The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since then.
The tree was again lonely and sad.
One hot summer day,
The man returned and the tree was delighted.
"Come and play with me!" the tree said.
"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself.
“Can you give me a boat?"
“Said the man”.
"Use my trunk to build your boat.
You can sail far away and be happy.
" So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat.
He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.
Finally, the man returned after many years.
"Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore.
No more apples for you...
" The tree said”.
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite
" The man replied.
"No more trunk for you to climb on"
"I am too old for that now" the man said.
"I really cannot give you anything...
The only thing left is my dying root,”
The tree said with tears.
"I do not need much now, just a place to rest.
I am tired after all these years" the man replied.
"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest,
Come, come sit down with me and rest.
" The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears...
This is you and the tree is your parent. !!!!!
Please enlighten all your friends and your families
By telling them this story,
“Love your Parents”
"أحب أبويك"
(( رب ارحمهما كما ربياني صغيراً ))

Allâh Grants Help and Victory to Followers of the True Deen
By Imâm ibn al-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah rahimahullâh
From "Ighâthatul-Lahfân min Masâ'id ish-Shaytân" [2/229]
A lot of people think that followers of the True Religion are humiliated, subdued and always defeated, unlike those who follow other paths. So they do not have certainty in Allâh's promise of victory for His religion and His servants. Rather, even if they don't say it, they think that this promise is either particular to a specific group, or to a specific time, or they link it to Allâh's will (not related to any rules that Allâh set in His creation).
This (attitude and understanding) is due to absence of certainty in the Promise of Allâh, the Most High, and due to a poor understanding of His Book.
1. Allâh subhânahu has explained in His Book that He is the Helper of believers in this world and the next:
He said, the Most High, "Indeed We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand." [Ghâfir 40:51]
"And whoever is an ally of Allâh and His Messenger and those who have believed - indeed, the party of Allâh - they will be the predominant." [al-Mâ'idah 5:56]
"Indeed, the ones who oppose Allâh and His Messenger - those will be among the most humbled. Allâh has written [i.e. decreed], 'I will surely overcome, I and My messengers.' Indeed, Allâh is Powerful and Exalted in Might." [al-Mujâdilah 58:20-21]
There are many such verses in the Qur'ân.
2. Allâh subhânahu has also explained in the Qur'ân that what befalls a servant from calamity, or defeat, or other than that, is because of his sins. Allâh subhânahu has explained both of these principles in His Book, so when you join them, the reality of the matter will become clear to you, problems will completely disappear, and you will be in no need of unnecessary, burdening explanations, or far-fetched interpretations.
Allâh subhânahu wa ta'âla has explained the first principle in different ways, including what has preceded (in the verses above). Likewise, He censured one who seeks help and honour from other than the believers, as in His saying:
"O you who have believed do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allâh guides not the wrongdoing people.
So you see those in whose hearts is disease [i.e. hypocrisy] hastening into [association with] them, saying, 'We are afraid a misfortune may strike us.' But perhaps Allâh will bring conquest or a decision from Him, and they will become, over what they have been concealing within themselves, regretful.
And those who believe will say [i.e. about the hypocrites and their exposure], 'Are these the ones who swore by Allâh their strongest oaths that indeed they were with you?' Their deeds have become worthless, and they have become losers.
O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allâh will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allâh and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favour of Allâh; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allâh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
Your ally is none but Allâh and [therefore] His Messenger and those who have believed - those who establish prayer and give zakâh, and they bow [in worship].
And whoever is an ally of Allâh and His Messenger and those who have believed - indeed, the party of Allâh - they will be the predominant." [al-Mâ'idah 5:51-56]
So Allâh rebuked those who seek help from other than His party and informed that His party – they will be the predominant.
In this regards, He said, "Give tidings to the hypocrites that there is for them a painful punishment. Those who take disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek with them honour [through power]? But indeed, honour belongs to Allâh entirely *." [an-Nisâ' 4:138-139]
"They say, 'If we return to Al-Madînah, the more honoured [for power] will surely expel there from the more humble.' And to Allâh belongs [all] honour, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know." [Al-Munâfiqûn 63:8]
"Whoever desires honour [through power] - then to Allâh belong all honour. To Him ascends good speech, and righteous work raises it *." [Fâtir 35:10] [*For acceptance by Allâh, meaning that righteous deeds are confirmation and proof of what is uttered by tongue.]
That is, whoever seeks honour, let him seek it by obedience to Allâh through good speech and righteous work.
"It is He who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although they will associate others with Allâh dislike it." [at-Taubah 9:33]
"O you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment? [it is that] you believe in Allâh and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allâh with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you, if you should know. He will forgive for you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence. That is the great attainment. And [you will obtain] another [favour] that you love - victory from Allâh and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers." [saff 61:10-13]
That is, He will give them another [favour] besides forgiveness of their sins and entrance to the Paradise – help and victory:
“O you who have believed, be supporters of Allâh, as when Jesus, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, 'Who are my supporters for Allâh?' The disciples said, 'We are supporters of Allâh.' And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant." [saff 61:14]
Allâh said to Jesus, 'alayhis salâm, "'Indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify [i.e. free] you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allâh alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection." [آl-'Imrân 3:55]
So because the Christians follow him, they are superior to the Jews until the Day of Resurrection, and because Muslims follow him more than the Christians, they are superior to them until the Day of Resurrection.
Allâh ta'ala said to the believers, "And if these [Makkans] who disbelieve were to fight you, they would certainly turn their backs [in flight]. Then they would not find a protector or a helper.
[This is] the established way of Allâh which has occurred before. And you will never find in the way of Allâh any change." [Fath 48:22-23] This is addressed to the believers who fulfilled both outward and inward realities of faith.
“Indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous." [Hûd 11:49]
And, "The [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness." [Tâ-Hâ 20:132] The intended here is the outcome in this world before the next, because He mentioned this after the story of Nûh, and his victory over his people and patience with them.
So He said, "This is from the news of the unseen which We reveal to you, [O Muhammad]. You knew it not, neither you nor your people, before this. So be patient, indeed, the [best] outcome is for the righteous." [Hûd 11:49]
That is, the outcome of help for you and those with you, as it was for Nûh - 'alayhis salâm – and those who believed with him.
Likewise His saying, "And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness." [Tâ-Hâ 20:132]
"If good touches you, it distresses them; but if harm strikes you, they rejoice at it. And if you are patient and fear Allâh, their plot will not harm you at all. Indeed, Allâh is encompassing of what they do." [آl-'Imrân 3:120]
"Yes, if you remain patient and conscious of Allâh and they [i.e. the enemy] come upon you [attacking] in rage, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels having marks [of distinction]." [آl-'Imrân 3:125]
He said, relating the words of Yûsuf - 'alayhis salâm – that he was helped due to his taqwa and his patience. So he said, "'I am Joseph, and this is my brother. Allâh has certainly favoured us. Indeed, he who fears Allâh and is patient, then indeed, Allâh does not allow to be lost the reward of those who do good.'" [Yûsuf 12:90]
"O you who have believed, if you fear Allâh, He will grant you a criterion and will remove from you your misdeeds and forgive you. And Allâh is the possessor of great bounty." [al-Anfâl 8:29]
The criterion is honour and help, and victory and light, which distinguish between the Truth and the falsehood.
"And whoever fears Allâh – He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allâh – then He is sufficient for him. Indeed, Allâh will accomplish His purpose. Allâh has already set for everything a [decreed] extent." [at-Talâq 65:3-4]
Ibn Mâjah and Ibn Abî Dunya have related on the authority of Abû Dharr, radhiallâhu 'anhu, that the Prophet, sallallâhu ta'ala 'alayhi wa alihi wa sallam said: "If all people acted in accordance with this ayah, it would suffice them." [Narrators of the hadîth are trustworthy except that the chain is disconnected, so the hadîth is weak] This is related to the first principle.
As for the second principle:
"Why [is it that] when a [single] disaster struck you [on the day of Uhud], although you had struck [the enemy in the Battle of Badr] with one twice as great, you said, 'From where is this?' Say, 'It is from yourselves [i.e. due to your sin].' And Allâh, over all things, is competent." [آl-'Imrân 3:165]
"Indeed, those of you who turned back on the day the two armies met [at Uhud] - it was Satan who caused them to slip because of some [blame] they had earned. But Allâh has already forgiven them. Indeed, Allâh is Forgiving and Forbearing." [آl-'Imrân 3:155]
"And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much." [ash-Shûra 42:30]
"Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He [i.e. Allâh] may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [i.e. refrain]." [ar-Rûm 30:41]
"But if they turn away - then We have not sent you [O Muhammad], over them as a guardian; upon you is only [the duty of] notification. And indeed, when We let man taste mercy from Us, he rejoices in it; but if evil afflicts him for what his hands have put forth, then indeed, man is ungrateful." [ash-Shûra 42:48]
"And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair." [ar-Rûm 30:36]
"Or He could destroy them for what they earned; but He pardons much." [ash-Shûra 42:34]
"What comes to you of good is from Allâh, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself. And We have sent you, [O Muhammad], to the people as a messenger, and sufficient is Allâh as Witness." [an-Nisâ' 4:79]
This is why Allâh subhânahu ordered His Messenger and believers to follow what was sent to them, that is, to be obedient to Him. This is the first principle. He also ordered them to wait for His Promise, and this is the second principle. And He ordered them to seek forgiveness and practice patience because the servant will certainly have shortcomings and seeking forgiveness will clear those shortcomings. Likewise, patience is required while waiting for the Promise. Obedience is perfected and completed with seeking forgiveness, and certainty in the Promise is perfected and completed with patience. Allâh subhânahu has joined the two in His saying, "So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allâh is truth. And ask for forgiveness of your sin and exalt [Allâh] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning." [Ghâfir 40:55]
Allâh subhânahu has mentioned in His book the stories of the Prophets and their followers and how they saved themselves with patience and obedience. Then He said, "There were certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding." [Yûsuf 12:111]

Assalam aleikum
This is a nice article. So many times muslims can be apologetic in their approach when discussing Islam. Especially topics like polygamy and jihad. When we do daw'aa we should know that Allah subhana wa tala is in no need of anyone and it is a honour to be a Muslim. And a great Rahma from Allah subahna wa tala. And this is especially important for those living in non muslims countries. We should KNOW who we are.
Take Pride in Islam
The Friday Report [Now “Al-Jumuah Magazine”], Vol V, No. 6
In face of the attacks on Islam by the disbelievers, some Muslims turn to the defensive with an inner feeling of defeat as they try to show that the Islamic values are no different from the western ones. If they are told that the Islamic political system is dictatorial, they respond by trying to show it is democratic. If they are told that Islam spread with Jihad, they respond that Muslims fought only to defend themselves when attacked. If they are told that there is a problem with the status of women in Islam, they try to prove that Islam allows polygamy only under strict conditions which most men do not fulfill and hence they conclude it is virtually not allowed!
Such apologetic attitudes should be put behind. Islam is a way of life given to us by Allah, it cannot be put on the same level as other man-made ideologies or corrupted revelations. Muslims should have enough confidence in themselves to go on the offensive rather than stay on the defensive like an accused person. When Quraysh accused the Muslims of violating the sanctity of the sacred months on the occasion of the fight between the Muslim brigade of Abdullah bin Jahsh and the disbelievers, Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala revealed:
“They ask you concerning fighting in the Sacred Months (these are the 1st, 7th, 11th and 12th months of the Islamic calendar). Say: ‘Fighting therein is a great transgression but a greater transgression in the Sight of Allah is to prevent mankind from following the Way of Allah, to disbelieve in Him, to prevent access to al-Masjid al-Haram (Makkah), and to drive out its inhabitants, and polytheism is worse than killing. And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion if they can. And whosoever of you turns back from his religion and dies as a disbeliever, then his deeds will be lost in this life and in the Hereafter, and they will be the dwellers of the Fire. They will abide therein forever.” (Qur’an 2:217)
This is how the Qur’an argues with the disbelievers. The Qur’an starts by attacking them on their greatest crime: their disbelief in Allah and their association of partners with Him. One should not present a false interpretation of our religion for the purpose of pleasing the disbelievers.
Some Muslims try to hide their Islamic identity for fear of being labeled as “fundamentalist”. Men are shaving their beard and women are trying to make their hijab look like the latest fall fashion. If presented with food or drink that is haram, they say we are full at the moment, or they say we do not like the particular food. Only few say that they cannot eat it because it is unlawful in Islam. This is not the way of the companions of the Prophet, sallallahu `alaihi wa sallam, behaved. When the companions accepted Islam, they became proud of it and felt that all other ideologies and ways of life are inferior to what has been revealed to them from above seven heavens.
In the battle between the Muslims and the Persians, Rostom, the leader of the Persian army, asked to negotiate with the Muslims. Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqas, the Muslim leader in that battle, sent a group of companions among which was Rabi`e ibn Amir. The Persian leader prepared a magnificent reception in order to impress those “Bedouins” and weaken their position. The Persians asked Rabi`e to enter without his arms. He refused and entered with his arms and his horse and tied his horse next to Rostom. Rstom asked: “What brings you?” Rabi`e said: “Allah has sent us to convert mankind from the worship of people to the worship of Allah and from the narrowness of this life to its wideness and from the oppression of the religions to the justice of Islam. Allah has sent us to His creatures with His religion. Whoever accepts it, we accept from him and whoever refuses, we fight him until we get the Promise of Allah?” “And what is His Promise?” asked Rostom. “Paradise for those who die and victory for those who survive” answered Rabi`e. Rostom said: “Can you delay this matter until we think about it?” Rabi`e answered: “Yes. How many days you need, one or two?” Rostom said: “More. Until I write to my people.” Rabi`e said: “We can’t. Our Prophet does not authorize us to delay our enemies more than three days. So make up your mind."
This companion came from a society which was materially far behind the Persian empire. Nevertheless he had in himself the seed of Truth and righteousness that allowed him not to be distracted or impressed with the glamour surrounding the Disbelievers. Civilization starts with the correct belief and faith. The material aspects of civilization will come later as a by-product. On the other hand, the disbeliever, no matter how materially advanced he might be, is an uncivilized person and bears in his soul the germs of his own destruction. This is why you should take pride in your religion. This is why you should take pride in Islam.

Hadeeth about the rulers |

The Prophet (Sall Allaahu 'Alayhi wa 'Alaa Aalihee wa Sallam) said, "There will be emirs/leaders after me, saying what they do not do, and doing what they were not commanded to do. So whoever does Jihaad against them with his hand, then he is a believer. And whoever does Jihaad against them with his tongue, then he is a believer. And whoever does Jihaad against them with his heart, then he is a believer. There is no faith for anything less."
Source: Saheeh al-Mawaarid #1298. Declared Saheeh by al-Albaanee.
If someone has the actual book, maybe he can post the Takhreej of the Hadeeth, for those who want it.
Does this not apply to the rulers of our times? Obviously. A ruler is an Ameer, and actually the first thing understood when the term Ameer is used.
Note, this is slightly different than the Hadeeth in Saheeh Muslim, which sounds similar:
It is narrated on the authority 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud that the Messenger of Allah (may peace and blessings be upon him) observed: Never a Prophet had been sent before me by Allah towards his nation who had not among his people (his) disciples and companions who followed his ways and obeyed his command. Then there came after them their successors who said whatever they did not practise, and practised whatever they were not commanded to do. He who strove against them with his hand was a believer: he who strove against them with his tongue was a believer, and he who strove against them with his heart was a believer and beyond that there is no faith even to the extent of a mustard seed.

http://www.eat-halal.com/haram.shtml
The arabic word (Haram) means unlawful. The following items have been categorically spelled out as being Haram by jurists in light of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Mohammad :
1. Pig
2. Blood
3. Carnivorous animals
4. Almost all reptiles and insects
5. The bodies of dead animals
6. Halal animals which are not slaughtered according to the Islamic Law.
7. Wine, Ethyl Alcohol, and Spirits.
The above mentioned items are Haram and should be avoided by all Muslims.
So, I don't follow how you can eat animals slaughtered properly, but not their dead bodies? Don't they have to be dead?
What animals CAN you eat?

The Four Principles: Which Separate the Deen of Muslims from the Religion of the Secularists

All Praise belongs to Allaah, the Lord of the Worlds. And prayers and peace be on The Most Noble of Prophets and Messengers, our Prophet Muhammad, and on his family and all of his Companions.
To proceed:
This is a brief treatise regarding some principles by which a Muslim will be able to differentiate between his great Deen and the new paganism -- the modern Shirk called “Secularism” (al-‘Ilmaaniyyah) -- so that the Muslim can renounce and steer clear of it and its followers, the “Secularists” (al-‘Ilmaaniyyoon).
Also, so that the Muslim can be free (1-Baraa’ah) from them, reject them (2-Kufr/Takfeer), have hostility (3-‘Adaawah) towards them, despise them (4-Baghdhaa’), and wage war (5-Jihaad) against them whether they are academics, educationists, politicians, rulers, journalists, the wealthy, representatives, or theories, governments, and organizations, etc.
So these Four Principles are:
1.) The Mushrikoon to whom the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) was sent, they also believed that none has Ruboobiyyah except Allaah.
Allaah says: Say (O Muhammad): "Who provides for you from the sky and from the earth? Or who owns hearing and sight? And who brings out the living from the dead and brings out the dead from the living? And who disposes the affairs?" They will say: "Allah." Say: "Will you not then be afraid of Allah's Punishment (for setting up rivals in worship with Allah)?" [Yoonus: 31]
Allaah also says: "Say: 'Whose is the earth and all that is in it, if you do indeed know?' They will answer: 'It belongs to 'Allaah.' So say: 'Will you not then remember?' Say: 'Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the great Throne?' They will answer: ' Allaah.' So say: 'Will you not then fear Him? Say: 'In Whose Hand is dominion over all things? “…And He protects while against Whom there is no protector, if you know.” They will answer: 'Allaah'. So say: 'How then are you beguiled? [Al-Mu’minoon: 84:89]
Allaah also says: "Most of them do not believe in Allaah, except while attributing partners to Him." [Yoosuf 106]
But even while having belief in the Ruboobiyyah of Allaah alone, this did not enter them into Islaam. The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) fought them, and made takfeer of them (declared them to be kufaar).
And the secularists -- not including the extremists (atheists) -- also believe in the Ruboobiyyah of Allaah. They even have some of the ‘Ibaadaat, but still this does not enter them into Islaam. As for the extremists, they are more severe because they say “Laa Ilaah, Laa Rabb” (No One worthy of worship, No God) and that life is only material.
2.) The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) came to a people who had with them various legislations and laws which they used to judge with between themselves during dispute and at other times; they also had ignorant customs (customs from the Days of Ignorance) which they used to follow. But they did not accept the orders of Allaah, nor His Guidance.
So the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) rejected them and fought against them, and did not consider them as Muslims.
And from their legislation is what is found in Allaah’s saying: "Eat not (O believers) of that (meat) on which Allaah's Name has not been pronounced (at the time of the slaughtering of the animal), for sure it is Fisq (a sin and disobedience of Allaah). And certainly, the Shayaateen (the devils) do inspire their friends (from mankind) to dispute with you, and if you obey them [by making al-maytah (a dead animal) legal by eating it], then you would indeed be Mushrikoon (polytheists) [because they (devils and their friends) made lawful to you to eat that which Allaah has made unlawful to eat and you obeyed them by considering it lawful to eat, and by doing so you worshipped them, and to worship others besides Allaah is polytheism]." [al-An’aam 121]
And Allaah also said regarding Quraysh and those who followed them: "Or do they have partners (whom they join with Allaah) who have legislated in the Deen what Allaah did not give permission for?" [al-Shooraa: 21]
And the secularists, they too have fabricated legislations, laws, and courts-provincial, national, as well as international. They use these to judge between themselves. And they also have ignorant customs which they call “civilized”, “enlightment”, and “development”. But they haven’t accepted the orders of Allaah, nor His Guidance. Thus no path exists, except to make takfeer of them, and disavowal them.
3.) The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) came to a people who made the Deen lesser than it actually was. For example, they worshipped Allaah alone in times of severity. But when they were in times of ease, they committed Shirk.
Allaah informs us about them saying: "And when they ride in a ship [in stormy seas] they address their prayers to Allaah in complete sincerity, but when He brings them safely to the shore, they worship others." [al-‘Ankaboot: 65]
And just like that, they used to dedicate things for Allaah, and other things for their idols, as is in Allaah’s saying: "And they (mushrikoon) say, "This is for Allaah” according to their claim, “and this is for our partners (whom they ascribe unto Allaah)." [al-An’aam: 136]
As for the secularists, they worship Allaah in the Masjid in Ramadhaan, during marriage and divorce, and other particular moments. And besides these, they return back to their own legislations, and their astray customs.
4.) The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) came to the Mushrikeen while they worshipped many different things. There were those who worshipped images and idols. There were those who worshipped angels and jinn. There were those who worshipped stars and fire. There were those who worshipped ‘Isa ibn Maryam (alayhis salaam) and other Prophets (alayhis salaam), and righteous dead people.
But the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhe wa sallam) did not differentiate between any of them. Rather, all of them were labelled with Kufr, and they were all fought against.
The secularists are just like that, they have many things that they worship. And they are parties (groups) who label themselves with the name of their Ma’bood (those that they worship). There are those who worship the Americans. There are those who worship the Europeans. There are those who worship the Russians. There are those who worship the New World Order. There are those who worship the rulers, and theories. There are those who worship patriotism, nationalism, and their race. There are those who worship their leadership. And there exists no difference between them in Kufr, nor Apostacy (with the pagan arabs).

It is interesting to see the hypocrisy of the u.s. govt in Iraq.
Now the illegal occupiers are placing ridiculous, undemocratic restrictions on protests.
Some examples are....the Iraqis must not wear the thobe/juba (the traditional mens clothing), they must apply in writing to protest, they must estimate how many persons will attend, how long the protest will last.
This is typical of the two-faced "democracy" being forced on other people by a terrorist occupying force.

as-Salaamu 3alaykum,
Does your Da'wah just turn the misguided more away? If you are doing it right, then don't worry, and carry your call on.
Allaah (Jalla Fee 3ulaah) Says (~translation of meanings), {[Nooh:] "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the truth)."} [soorah Nooh v. 6]
How many a time, does it occur, that the caller to Allaah is harassed by the weakminded (those with inferiority complexes) for being "harsh" in his call. Their definition of harsh is not a Shar3ee definition, rather the mere reminder, advice, commanding of good and denouncing of evil, done regularly with wisdom, is enough to be labelled "harsh."
We see, that Nooh ('Alayhis-Salaam), calls his people, day and night, public and private, regularly and at intervals (read Soorat Nooh), yet this only turns them farther and faster away from him and from the message he is carrying!
So O caller to Allaah, don't worry about the results, as long as you are making your call with wisdom and insight. In Shaa' Allaah, you will be rewarded and successful, whether or not anyone follows the truth you wish to convey.

AS SALAAMU ALAIKUM WA RAHMATULLAH.....
My dear brothers and sisters i am in a situation...and was wondering if any of you were in this situation also.......
You see... i grew up with many friends of the kuffar.... many of whom were good people... I always heard scholars say that these friendships were not sanctioned in islam (can someone clear me up on this...) But i did not take them seriously...
last year my non muslim friend died... and only when i stared into his grave did i understand......
only when i stared into that horrid pit, did the reality of friendship hit me.... Only then did i understand the importance of this concept of friendship that was spoken of in islam....
i think what i gather is that i should keep my muslim brothers and sisters as my friends.... and the kuffar as "acpuaintances..." maybe i can give them da'wah...
but the question arises... how is it that i do this... where am i to start..... How do i tell my kafir freinds about my position...what about the peer pressure..
i guess the reason that i started this tread is to get advice on this topic from my muslim brothers and sisters.....
i am open to any suggestions that you may have
wa salaam
