Palestinians Called 'filthy Animals' On Msnbc's 'i
Posted by: SisterJennifer - 11-18-2004, 11:12 PM - Forum: Current Affairs - Replies (2)

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/18/04) - CAIR today called on American Muslims and

other people of conscience to contact the MSNBC cable television network to

demand an apology for comments made on its "Imus in the Morning" program

that referred to Palestinians as "filthy animals" and suggested that they

all be killed.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations also asked that the program's

host, Don Imus, be reprimanded for failing to challenge his colleagues'

inflammatory remarks. CAIR, which says it received numerous complaints

about the comments, quoted a transcript of Imus' November 12th program in

which he and his on-air colleagues engaged in the following discussion

about live coverage of Palestinian President Yasser Arafat's funeral:

<b>DON IMUS:</b> They're (the Palestinians) eating dirt and that fat pig wife of

his is living in Paris.

<b>COLLEAGUE:</b> They're all brainwashed, though. That's what it is. And they're

stupid, to begin with, but they're brainwashed now. Stinking animals. They

ought to drop the bomb right there, kill 'em all right now.

<b>IMUS:</b> Well, the problem is we have (reporter) Andrea (Mitchell) there; we

don't want anything to happen to her.

<b>COLLEAGUE:</b> Oh, she's got to get out. Andrea, get out and then drop the bomb

and kill everybody.

<b>COLLEAGUE:</b> Look at this. Animals. Animals!

In a letter to MSNBC President Neal Shapiro, CAIR stated: "We are firm

defenders of the First Amendment, but these hate-filled and racist remarks

can only serve to legitimize anti-Muslim and anti-Arab bigotry in our

society and could lead to further discrimination against members of the

Islamic and Arab-American communities." (CAIR also filed a complaint with

the FCC because "Imus in the Morning" is a nationally-syndicated radio

program.)

This is not the first time Imus has been involved in a controversy over

anti-Arab and Islamophobic remarks. As early as 1985, he was forced to

apologize for referring to Arabs as "goat-humping weasels." (Sunday Mail,

4/21/85) He has also been criticized for using the derogatory term

"raghead." (Accuracy in Media) In a reference to the crash of an Iranian

airliner earlier this year that killed 43 passengers, Imus said, "When I

hear stories like that, I think who cares." He then stated: "Too bad it

wasn't full of Saudi Arabians." (National Iranian American Council)

Earlier this year, CAIR announced a campaign designed to counter hate

speech on talk radio. The campaign, called "Hate Hurts America," is based

on the premise that the increasing attacks on Islam by talk show hosts harm

the United States by creating a downward spiral of interfaith mistrust and

hostility. As part of that campaign, Muslims were given step-by-step

instructions on how to monitor local and syndicated radio programs, report

anti-Muslim hate, file FCC complaints, and contact advertisers to register

their concerns.

The blessed Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned that 'The believer who

recites the Qur'an and applies it is like the utrujja (fruit), whose smell

is fragrant and taste is sweet .' (Bukhari)

Utrujj is based upon the teachings of the above Hadith in seeking to equip

you with the sacred knowledge of Islam, while simultaneously training you in

it's implementation in your daily lives. As a result of this dynamic

approach your personality should insh'Allah come to personify this sacred

knowledge.

The change this creates will be witnessed by those around you as they smell

the sweet fragrance of your good speech and taste the sweetness of your

exemplary actions. Such a change within individuals is critical in realising

our covenant with Allah and for the spreading of Islam, especially here in

the West.

  The Ideal Society!
Posted by: Rehmat - 11-18-2004, 02:10 PM - Forum: Discussion of Beliefs - No Replies

“O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female; Verily, the most honourable among you in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you. Surely, Allah is All-Aware.” – Holy Qur’an

Holy Qur’an has laid down various principles for the formation of ideal societies and these rest on the principle that all men are equally sprung up from the same

parents (Adam and Eve) and are therefore brothers. A good Muslim considers himself a fusion of all races. Anyone who enters into the fold of Islam becomes part and parcel of this fraternity, forgetting all pride and prejudice. On the basis of this principle, Islam seeks to build an intellectual, moral, ideological and

international society, as against the Judaism, Christianity, and pagan dogmas of

tribal, racial, linguistic and national societies, which have turned the world into a racio_colour_holocaust.

Contrary to Holy Qur’an, the Jewish and Christian “holy scripts” are based on race, nationality, and preach hatred towards others:

And Jesus answered: “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” – Matthew 15:24

“….that he (Jesus) will be punished in hell by being immersed in boiling excrement….” - Talmud

  Tragedy In The Holy Land
Posted by: Rehmat - 11-18-2004, 01:04 PM - Forum: Books you read - No Replies

The resistance against the occupation of Muslim Palestine by European Jews is one of the most misunderstood problems in the modern day history. "Tragedy in the Holy Land; The Second Uprising" covers the origins of the dispute between the people of the land and offers a rare look at the confrontation from a Palestinian point of view, with profound remarks and insight from Palestinian Jews and other noted scholars - including footage on Land Leases, Sykes-Picot Agreement, Peel Commission, King David Hotel bombing, Six Day War, Invasion of Lebanon, Cold War's affects on Palestine, Oslo Accords, September 11, and the Jewish Peace Movement.

The documentary is available both on VHS and DVD from 1-800-777-2223.

  A Walk By The River
Posted by: NaSra - 11-17-2004, 03:02 AM - Forum: "And remind for reminding benefit the believers - Replies (2)

<b>A Walk by the River</b>

<i>Author Unknown </i>

Once there was a small house near to a river bank. There were three people living in the house. A man his wife and his old father. The man was very happy with his wife and they had good life. But his father was very old and sick and often used to be a trouble for both of them whole day and night.

During day they had to serve him food and medicine and at night he used to cough up a lot. That's why they were not able to sleep properly. This routine kept on going for sometime.

One night the man and his wife discussed something in their room and then the man came out and he asked his father to ride on his back.

The father asked "O my son where are you taking me to?"

The man replied "Dad! I want you to take out for a change since it's been long time you didn't see the world outside of the house".

The father was riding on back of his son tightly and the son started walking towards a river until he reached near the river. The father thought his son would stop on edge of the river and let him enjoy the natural scene.

But the son entered into the river until he reached deep into the water, where water was touching his chest.

The son was about to throw his father in the water that suddenly father asked his son to stop for a bit.

The son froze where he was.

The father said "O my son I knew why and where you were going to take me, but before you throw me in the river I want to tell you something. The place where you are standing right now is exactly the place where I threw my father in the river. So please throw me in a little bit deeper water, so when it comes your turn then your son has to walk a little bit more...

<b>Moral of the story: </b>Remember this very carefully, everything you do to your parents, your children will do the same to you. This is a true story, this young man never knew what his father did to his father, and he took him to the exact same place to make him suffer just as he made his father suffer.

May Allah subhanaAllah wa'tala protect us from the curse of the parents, because it is real and no one can escape from it.

<b>"Thy Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: My Lord! Bestow on them Thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood. Your Lord knows best what is in your hearts: If you do deeds of righteousness, verily He is Most Forgiving to those who turn to Him again and again (in true penitence)"</b>

I just had an idea that it would be fun to swap recipes since we have people from all over the world. I have a few I would like to share if anyone is interested, and maybe if lots of people have recipes to share we can make it a new forum inshaAllah, hopefully it won't make the message board too cluttered [Image: tongue.gif]

Anyway let me know what you think. I also have lots of kids recipes that I would like to post in the kids section inshaAllah.

  Us And Jewish Mind Control
Posted by: Rehmat - 11-16-2004, 07:22 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

The Israeli lobby has launched an all-out drive to ensure congressional passage of a bill, approved by the House and now before a Senate committee that would set up a federal tribunal to investigate and monitor criticism of Israel on American college campuses.

Ten months ago the New York-based Jewish Week newspaper claimed that the report by American Free Press that Republican members of the Senate were planning to crack down on college and university professors who were critical of Israel was "a dangerous urban legend at best, deliberate disinformation at worst." They were claiming that AFP lied.

However, on Sept. 17, 2003, the House Subcommittee on Select Education unanimously approved H.R. 3077, the International Studies in Higher Education Act, which was then passed by the full House on Oct. 21. The chief sponsor of the legislation was Rep. Peter Hoekstra, a conservative Republican from Michigan.
