Bismillah Only in Egypt, Walking back home, there were those two very simple working class middle aged women, sitting on the pavement selling packed cleaned vegetable as a form of micro project. This is quite common in Egypt for income generation. I said salam, and one of them said back salam with a big smile inviting me seriously to join their very simple and humble lunch (falfel and sour cheese). Sobhan Allah, not only satisfied with what they are doing for living, but also very happy with what they eat and feel no harm in inviting others to share their simple meal.

Bismillah as salam alykom Two days ago, walking in a main street in Mohandeseen Cairo and carrying things, a taxi (yes taxi) stopped by and the driver offered to just take me where I want to go on his way just to help. Sobhan Allah, he kept institing, not as a customer but just to help me because I was walking and carrying a bag. Sobhan Allah, I thanked him a lot. Alhamdulelah, good is still in the Ummah of the Messenger.

Sobhan Allah, inspite of all the choatic and unstable situation in Egypt, people succeeded in maintaining their original qualities Alhamdulelah. I am not being biased for my fellow people. I will tell you the situation. Last week I took a taxi from near my house, it happened that I had used the same driver before that who took me to the same location, so he knows me already. Upon my arrival, I discovered I do not have change, I tried to find change, which was hard, it was morning and close to Tahrir square. The driver very simply told me to go ahead and he is sure he will meet me again to collect his money. I asked him and insisted that he goes to my place and collect the money from the porter. He said fine, but he never did. May Allah Extend my life to give him back his money. Sobhan Allah, what an attitude!

Bismillah Iin one day, I took 2 different taxis at 2 different timings. In the morning, the meter was L.E 11 pounds, I gave him 10 and tried to look for the 1 pound, he immediately said just go ahead mam, no problem, no problem, dont bother... The same situation happened in the afternoon, when the driver waited for me to look for change and I gave him 10 while the meter was also 11, and he just said you go ahead lady no problem. Sobhan Allah, Egyptians are really something. May Allah Allow us to continue on this attitude and improve further.

Changing location! Last month, I was in a business trip to Jakarta, I went to a mall (not so close from my hotel, 15 minutes drive). But because I am unfamiliar with the roads, I usually take taxis. Coming back, I was waiting for a taxi, when I found a small private mini bus waving for me to join, as he was waiting to complete the number of passenger. I used simple english to ensure he is going where I want to, but an Indonesian family helped me and encouraged me in. Suddenly, he stopped in a location very far from where I want to go. I tried to check.. no way. But the man, who was accompanied with his wife and 2 children, asked me simply to follow him. I did. They Mash a Allah took me to a bus station, they adviced rather than taking a taxi, they will instruct me on how to ride the bus. So, they walked all the way with me, climbed the sky bridge, took me to the station, instrcuted me how to pay, and told the attendant about my destination. They still waited until my bus came, again they told the lady attendant inside the bus about my station to alert me. Stood there waiting for the bus to take off. And Alhamdulelah, close to my station, the attendant alerted me and I got off. Ma sh a Allah, may Allah Reward them much. |
