“The true Furqan”
#41

<b>SisterJennifer wrote: I am asking you about Allah the most Merciful, not about a Canadian judge. </b>

I agree that God is merciful, but He is also just. If God were to be merciful to me, and refuse to punish me for stealing from my neighbour, then He would be denying my neighbour justice. Christians believe that God wouldn't do that.

Do you believe in Day of Judgment?

If you do, what do you think would happen on that day?

As a Christian, I believe that there will be a Day of Judgement when every human will stand before God for judgement and sentencing (either heaven or hell). In judging us, God will show both justice and mercy, and I am confident that His judgements (whatever they are) will be fair.

In my particular case, I think God's sense of justice will require that I be sentenced to spend eternity in hell. But on the other hand, I also believe that God loves me and wants to show me mercy. Logic would dictate, then, that I should look forward to judgement day with both dread and hope.

Luckily, as a Christian, I have a hope within me which eliminates (as far as possible, in my currently fearful, human form) my dread:

<i><b>Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. 1 Peter 3:15-16 </b></i>

Alas, as a sinner I don't always speak the gospel message with gentleness and respect. I will have to answer for that sin, as well as all my other sins, one day...

I have to leave now, so I won't be posting any more responses until tomorrow. I want to get this thread back onto the topic of "The True Furqan", where I hope to address the criticisms which have been raised (within this thread) against this book.

If anyone wishes to continue the other discussion which has taken place in this thread (about what Christians believe about sin and judgement), then perhaps that discussion should be continued in a new thread?

Excellent suggestion reepi that I was about to make.

What Wael started this thread for as far as I understand is that some Christian missonaries trying to diverse their approaches, produced a forged Quran. May be we should have explained this to you reepi as muslims. Furqan is one of the titles Allah Gave to His final book Quran in the Quran texts. Furqan in Arabic means a criterion, a means to differenciate between truth and falsehood. In Quran Allah Gave several titles to the book, of them light, Furqan, book..etc.

Thus, what Wael wanted to do is to alert us and others and also inform those who come here on the methods used to push Christian thought to unlearnt Muslims. However, it only tells us that we should work more towards educating ourselves and others on our invaluable book that yet again foretold us about all of those plots.

Reepi, the thread introduced a forged Quran given the title of Furqan to deceive naive Muslims who would be reading some disguised biblical texts in preparation for converting into Christianity. In other words, fooling people to join the religion.

Sorry Wael I kept saying Wael wanted to say, not really wanting to put words into your mouth, but rather putting the content of this thread into a nut shell, did I help brother?

<b>Sister Muslimah</b>

Jazaka Allahu khiran for choosing the accurate words to describe the aim of this thread...]

What Reep has suggested indirectly is that the Bible itself is a lie because it was penned by Christians (<b>i.e.liars</b>), preached by Christians (<b>i.e. liars</b>) and those same Christians told us that it was inspired by God, so the Bible itself was a product of liars.

Thanks for clarifying this Reep...

What glorious utopias the world's Islamic countries must be, if muslims never lie, steal, or murder.

Of course Muslims too are liars, thieves and murderers, but <b>NOT ALL OF THEM </b>as compare to your statement that <b>ALL CHRISTIANS </b>are liars and deserve HELL.

Do muslims keep any statistics which tell us the approximate percentage of muslims who go through life without committing a sin? Would the number of sinless muslims be closer to 1% or 99% of the muslim population?

Are there any muslim posters in this forum who claim to be sinless?

I was actually referring to <b>ONE</b> particular sin (<i>i.e. lying, deceiving, fooling etc</i>), and at the same time I was talking about “<b>SOME</b>” Christian missionaries, but you have come to enlighten me that actually <b>ALL CHRISTIANS</b> are liars (<b>of course that includes St Paul, Peter etc</b>…) because you said on your post no 20, dated Oct 27 2008, 03:16 PM

Quote:I believe that <b>every single Christian who has ever lived, is currently living, and that will be born in the future is a liar, a thief, and a murderer and deserves eternal damnation from God</b>.

That was straight enough to send St Paul, Peter and all the disciples of Jesus to eternal damnation... now I wonder if you keep any statistics about the above claim (<b>that 100% of Christians are liars</b>), do you have evidence that every Christian ever lived, currently living and that will be born is a liar, a thief and a murderer????

<b>Have you ever for instance murdered somebody before to make such a statement? </b>

Or does the words “<b>EVERY CHRISTIAN</b>” in your language means something else???

Quote:Are there any muslim posters in this forum who claim to be sinless?

We don’t claim to be sinless, but I can guarantee you that all Muslims on this board, <b>are not thieves, and not murderers</b>, they might have lied in the past, <b>but at least now they are NOT</b>… because Islam (<i>UNLIKE CHRISTIANITY</i>) should be followed as a whole, and lying, deceiving and fooling are not among the characteristics of true Muslims, and so let me seize this opportunity to invite you to <b>ISLAM</b>, where you can be forgiven even if you lied in the past, on the condition that you don’t lie again, and regret what you have done in the past, and repent sincerely to God, the Creator of us all.

May Allah open your heart to Islam <b>and save you from eternal damnation for being a Christian. </b> Ameen.

Assalamu alaikum

I think it is very good that we have been alerted on what's going on alhamdulillah. That's one way to not being able of not walking around sleeping and 'follow blindly' as some may put it.

Anyway, I did talk to a sister living in Pakistan and she told me about the good and healthy relationship Muslims and Christians seem to have, from her part of view. That made me happy to hear. The respect for each other.

So what this false Qur'an brings on is what I can understand, is some kind of attempt to also split the harmonious community. So I see not only one big threat here, firstly trying to mislead Muslims but also secondly it may be an attempt to split the community.

''If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result). '' The Qur'an 35:10
