I do not think that Mohammad(saw) specifically "asks" to not change our appearance! this is coz Allah loves beauty...

I dont think plastic surgery is "haram" to be honest!

 Thats why there are hardly any REAL women left

arclight u are a very wise man.....words like that are priceless I hope that people take a note.

I bet alot of disfigured people who don't even have a nose would do anything to have your nose, and you don't even appreciate the one that ALLAH gave you.

Ps: about make-up, I think make-up actually makes women ugly....and the side-effects are apparent on women who can't even go without it for a day, try seeing them without make up you will be shocked. And I'm talking about young women here ok!

I couldn't even stand wearing lipstick on my wedding night..........It takes then Add.....and I'm no tomboy even

Blimey, thats twice someone here has said that. I'm really beginning to be worried about the people on here   ^_^

Personally I think plastic surgery has its place. There are plenty of occasions where people are disfigured in accidents or fires, and its necessary to help people get back to some semblence of how they looked before. Although some, such as Simon Weston, can show us that spirit is more important than vanity.

And there are those that are born severly disfigured and, if they feel it necessary, should be given the chance to put right what nature got wrong.

Its cosmetic surgery for the sake of fashion I can't stand, like collagen implants and 'boob jobs', and some so called doctors should be locked up for what they do to people. Do a search for Bride of Wildenstein, and you'll see what they'll do if you give them enough cash.
