Brothers like this are really frustrating, i know you obviously know not all of us brothers are like this but let me again stress not all of us brothers are like this The ones that are, just need to fear Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) a bit more, they'll have to deal with those comments they made to you on the final day, they probably won't seem so funny to them then. Anyway you sisters are most admirable and a reminder to us all to fear Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) You sisters fully covering are the most god fearing and very strong in heart and surely Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala ) sees this. Assalamu Alalikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
Reasons For Wearing The Hijab

Asalaamu alikum Thanks brother for your nice words and reminder that not all brothers will share the same attitudes. I just want to remind that a sister choosing to wear niqab shouldnt be judged as better or more pious than a sister wearing basic hijab. The Prophet (pbuh) said in the farewell khutba that no Muslim is better than any other Muslim except in Taqwa. We can make an assumption based on what we see and observe, but only Allah SWT can see what is inside the hearts. May Allah bless us all and make us all better Muslims, Ameen. Moreso for the fact that they don't have to do it, but do so despite increased difficulties. But i was in no way implying anyone is better than anyone else. Just a personal respect i have. More for the difficulties and increased prejudice they would face. But yes you are right, only Allah (Subhanahu wa ta'ala) Knows who is the most fearing of Him of course.

Assalamu aleikum, Brother Anya, I do understand so well what you are saying, but at the same time I feel a bit sad. Just like the brothers that sister Jennifer wrote about, I also hope that brothers and sisters don't look at us that dress according to Qur'an and Sunnah as less Godfearing, I don't think you meant it that way anyway. Many of us that has come from zero has struggled quite a bit not only with ourselves but also with the people around us to be able to dress accordingly. So it can be difficult to 'judge' from the outside. But I also like you feel very great respect for sisters that wear the niqab, and know they have struggled to do so. One odd example, a teacher at my daughters school, totally covered up when coming to school and when leaving schoo, but during schoolhours taking the outer garment and niqab and hijab off. I don't write this to say my beautiful sisters do this, but I only mean it also can be difficult to ONLY 'judge' from the outlook. Masha'Allah brother I didn't really want to write this, but felt the urge anyway, forgive me if I did hurt anyone, this is not my intention. Hijab and niqab and covering up always seems to be a 'hot issue' to us concerned and to others too, outside the Muslim fold. Wasalam

- Nooooo i didn't mean it like that. Forgive me for not explaining well enough. I was talking from a personal viewpoint, i'm not saying anyones any better than anyone else, or anyone is more pious i was just trying to support these sisters who do fully cover as well as give my opinion on the situation as well. As i said before only The Most High knows best of course, i was merely commenting and trying to support my sisters. As well as in a way apoligize for those brothers, but as usual somethings gone wrong somewhere again. Maybe it's the way i type???? I think i'm gonna go to a corner and cry.

Assalamu aleikum, Brother Anya, I wrote also that I DON'T think you mean it in a bad way. PLEASE don't go into the corner and cry, but stay out in the open and face all that is coming up like challenges! The corner cannot help you, trust me. I don't think there is anything wrong with your language at all! We all sometimes find it difficult to express exactly what we feel, there will always come someone running that will misunderstand or misinterpret, that is just us as humans I guess. So no problem brother, we all learn along the way insha'Allah. May Allah, SWT help us and guide as on our way, and may we please Him to His liking. Wasalam Bismillah as salam alykom dear brothers and sisters I am here for a totally different reason, to try and explain the brothers Intuition over heard. Making the comments they made, and this is just my own opinion, does not mean in any way a less level of committment . People are different yes, but it does not mean they are less committed. But rather they are being honest to themselves. People's difficulties with religious rules differ from one to another. I am not trying to go off topic but that is exactly why Allah Allowed men marry more than 1. He Knows His creation best. May Allah support them. As far as us, as long as we dont attempt or put on purpose seductive factor including the attitude and all, then Alhamdulelah we are fine, it depends on the intention. Why u put Niqab, or abide by the dress code. It all depends on the intention.

Assalamu aleikum, Found this and of course I want to share! A hero's advice to his daughters The following incident took place when Muhammad Ali's daughters arrived at his home wearing clothes that were not modest. Here is the story as told by one of his daughters: When we finally arrived, the chauffer escorted my younger sister, Laila, and me up to my father's suite. As usual, he was hiding behind the door waiting to scare us. We exchanged many hugs and kisses as we could possibly give in one day. My father took a good look at us. Then he sat me down on his lap and said something that I will never forget. He looked me straight in the eyes and said, "Hana, everything that God made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground, covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean, covered up and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered over with layers and layers of rock. You've got to work hard to get to them." He looked at me with serious eyes. "Your body is sacred. You're far more precious than diamonds and pearls, and you should be covered too." Source: Taken from the book: More Than A Hero: Muhammad Ali's Life Lessons Through His Daughter's Eyes.

Asalamlaaykum I didn't think less or badly of the Brothers I had overheard, Like I said be it good or bad they were being completely themselves. In my opinion theres nothing wrong with that. I did not post about that incident to make them look bad inshaAllah. It just kind of caught me offguard to have heard the stuff they were saying. Quote:subhan allah...that was beautiful & funny too (when we can run away &pretend that we don't know English . Now Iam proud of my hijab even more lol yeah it is funny mashaAllah, Sometimes they won't give you enough time to even pretend ( they already think your stupid). One time me and my friend went shopping ( She wears a niqaab) and in this one shop the lady working there walked up to my friend, I was somewhere else but I could see what was happening ANyway she started asking her what she was after etc, now the fun part or rather silly part is how she approached and talked to my friend, "Its so hard to explain, she was like " you you ok ok"? " you you need help witha anthing"? lol Like a chinese learning english I was just standing there and waiting for the moment the Sister would finally talk because she's a kiwi a New Zealander born and raised here. The sister answered her :" Excuse"? " I assume that English is your mothers tongue so please speak to me in a manner I can understand, Can you? To our surprise she switched back to normal, What a comdian, she certainly got potential to become an actor By far the best performance I've ever seen lol Its really sad how people can judge you before knowing a thing about you. Ignorance can't go deeper then that. UmmZachariah JZK for that post It was sweet & Wise May Allah Bless Our Fathers ameen,, Eventhough Mothers are the biggest influence on Girls life, but having a father that encourages you to be a better a muslimah each day is a blessing too. |
