additional important point Khairan, IT IS NOT MY POSITION.  u seem always confused about this, the ayahs are very clear, I think I explained them two times.

U seem to always fall into this problem regarding issues as my opinion or historical position. which again makes me concerned about u brother.

Muslimah, I regard EVERYTHING as someone's opinion. I don't see how any other response is possible. Just because I say it is your opinion doesn't mean I disagree -- in this case I happen to agree with you completely. However, every bit of information that passes to us must first come through the filter of our consciousness. We are never free from subjectivity or from the influences of the language, the culture, and the era in which we are raised.I'm not an advocate of moral relativism, but I am most certainly an advocate of acknowledging our limitations. In this case, that would be our inability to ever have a perfect understanding of God's Will or of the Qur'an. We do our best, but in the end all we have, right or wrong, are the opinions we form.
