The Obligation of Fighting Them {Apostate rulers etc}
#17

BTW, we hate them for two reasons, first because of their Shirk and Kufr, which is a disrespect to Allaah's rights, and secondly to their oppression and tyranny against us, a wronging of our rights -- rights that were given to us by Allaah. But Tawheed is not complete and perfected until the second cause of hatred is rooted off the first cause. When it is independently existent, it is just like any hatred that any person has for any other oppressor (a natural feeling that Allaah Placed in His creatures). But when rooted off of the first cause of hatred, it becomes a cause for tremendous Eemaan and Faith.

Allaah's right is that He be worshipped and believed in alone, without any share of worship being dedicated to other than him, as in the Saheeh Hadeeth from Ibn 'Abbaas. And the greatest Dhulm, as mentioned by Luqmaan to his son, and by our Prophet, Sallallaahu 3alayhi wa Sallam, is to dedicate worship to others than Allaah.

So how can we get angry about the lesser Dhulm being done to us, and not hate the greater Dhulm, disrespecting Allaah's right (which they only hurt and oppress themselves by). The true slave who loves his Lord gives more concern to his Lord's specific rights, over his own.
