Bismillah
As Salam alaikum
It is interesting to see and hear people state that the ahadeeth are narrated by humans and we must thus understand that they can be faulty.
Anyone who believes this must then ask, Why do I believe that the Qur'an is from Allah as revealed to the Messenger of Allah?
How did we as an ummah get the Qur'an? It was transmitted by the Companions of the MOA just as the sunnah was.
Consider this hadeeth:
Jaakir bin Abdullah said: The Prophet, prayers and peace upon him, used to teach us to seek Allah's Counsel in all matters, as he used to teach us a Surah from the Qur'an. He would say: When anyone of you has an important matter to decide, let him pray two rak'ahs other than the obligatory prayer, and then say: (Du'a for Istikhaarah)... (to end of du'a). Al-Bukhaari 7/162.
Here we see the Prophet stating that something is incumbent to learn just like the Qur'an. This information has reached us the same way that the Qur'an reched us, the narrators.
If I am misguiding or misguided, I ask Allah to forgive me. If anyone REALLY wants to know the truth, they will study under known scholars, but just as with the christians and jews, some muslims start with their desires and then look for aspects of the deen to confirm those desires, rejecting anything that inpedes those desires.
This is a sickness. Pray to Allah for the Truth to be shown, with sincerity, with an understanding that we (me including) are misguided. Allah will never misguide a sincere humble servant.
Allahu 'Alam
