Assalamu aleikum,
Brother Anya, I do understand so well what you are saying, but at the same time I feel a bit sad. Just like the brothers that sister Jennifer wrote about, I also hope that brothers and sisters don't look at us that dress according to Qur'an and Sunnah as less Godfearing, I don't think you meant it that way anyway.
Many of us that has come from zero has struggled quite a bit not only with ourselves but also with the people around us to be able to dress accordingly. So it can be difficult to 'judge' from the outside. But I also like you feel very great respect for sisters that wear the niqab, and know they have struggled to do so.
One odd example, a teacher at my daughters school, totally covered up when coming to school and when leaving schoo, but during schoolhours taking the outer garment and niqab and hijab off. I don't write this to say my beautiful sisters do this, but I only mean it also can be difficult to ONLY 'judge' from the outlook.
Masha'Allah brother I didn't really want to write this, but felt the urge anyway, forgive me if I did hurt anyone, this is not my intention.
Hijab and niqab and covering up always seems to be a 'hot issue' to us concerned and to others too, outside the Muslim fold.
Wasalam
