Let get into the beliefs of the Christians

Bismillah: Assalamo Alikum.

Quote:I'm starting to think you have a severe case of memory loss, bro - haha!

True, and the reason is ‘the trinity’

Quote:God is: Father Son Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ, the Son of God Incarnate, is a Divine Person who assumed a human nature (body+soul). He isn't 2 people.

Wow… here is another claim that you made. Jesus is a Divine person, a title was never given to him in the Bible.

In the Name of the Father & of the Son & of the Holy Spirit - Trinity One in Substance & Undivided.

May the Peace of Jesus Christ, the Divine Son of God, be with you!

Quote:True, and the reason is ‘the trinity’

How so? You've lost me!

You're almost as obsessed with the Most Holy Trinity as I am, Wael

Quote:Wow… here is another claim that you made. Jesus is a Divine person, a title was never given to him in the Bible.

It's not my claim. It's His.

Words mean nothing FHC... If this was Jesus' Claim (<i>that he is a divine</i>)... then show me a single verse in your Bible where<b> he said </b> (please pay attention to the word "<b>HE SAID</b>") I am a Divine, or I AM GOD (<i>not before Abraham was I AM, or I and the Father are one, etc because we have already discussed these topic in great details</i>), just show me in plain English, where <b>Jesus himself </b> declared divinity. But if you think that you are going to repeat yourself in answering this question, then drop it as we have dropped the topic of Trinity.

Have a good day.

Another thought FHC...

In the Bible, God Almighty declared that He is not a man, which indicates that He can never become a man. Then how is it possible for any sane person to think that Jesus is God?

Here are the verses for your reference:

Numbers 23:19

<b>God is not a man</b>, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?

1 Samuel 15:29

"And also the Glory of Israel will not lie or have regret, <b>for he IS not a man</b>, that he should have regret."

Hosea 11:9

"I will not execute my burning anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim; <b>for I am God and not a man</b>, the Holy One in your midst, and I will not come in wrath."

This was the first declaration of God about Himself that <b>He is not a man</b>, therefore <b>He can never become a man</b>, otherwise he would contradict Himself.

The other declaration of God about Himself that <b>He can never be born of a woman and that we can never compare Him with the son of man.</b>

Job 25:4-6

<b>How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? </b>

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

<b>How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?</b>

Please note that <b>Jesus was born of a woman named Mary, was a man, and was called the son of man. </b>

This is to me a very straight forward statements from God Almighty that He is not a man, not being ‘the son of man’, and not being born of a woman. This was a declaration in advance indicating <b>that Jesus (or any other human being) is not and can not be the Creator of the Universe to eliminate all confusion.</b>

And also in another passage, God Almighty said it plainly that <b>he can never change</b>… (He cannot say today that He is not a man, then later on change His mind and become a man). that would be absurd.

Malachi 3:6

<b>"For I [am] the LORD, I change not</b>; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."

Therefore, He would not become a man, because He declared that He is not a man and would not become a man/would not change (<i>and he did not specify the form of that change whether physically or whatever</i>). He just said it plain and clear that he would not change/would not become a man, because He is not a man in the first place.

I remember discussing this with you in great detail. You didn't challenge my beliefs one bit! I guess I'll drop it for the sake of repetition. If you need to refresh your memory run a search & restudy the topic.

The Incarnation had not yet taken place. When the Son of God became man He did not contardict Himself because God didn't cease to be. Also, Jesus Christ didn't lie, repent or break His promises.

Jesus was born of a woman named Mary??? You don't say, Wael :D :P

Why do you think the Incarnation took place? For the remission of sin so that man canbe made righteous like Adam was before the fall. Please read the New Testament.

God didn't change when His Son assumed a human nature. God is, was, & always will be the same. He's unchangable.

Sorry, I don't have time for longer answers. I hope you get the jist of it.

Take care & God bless.

I did not question you about the incarnation , I know very well that the above verses were written before Jesus’ birth but this is irrelevant matter, <b>my concern here is about God’s declaration that HE IS NOT A MAN, which indicates that HE WILL NEVER BE A MAN.</b>

Not much has changed since I've been around.

Recently I read the following article and thought about our discussions on the topic of the New Testament and specifically the divinity of Christ as well.

Haha! You're a clown

Quote:<b>my concern here is about God’s declaration that HE IS NOT A MAN, which indicates that HE WILL NEVER BE A MAN.</b>

That's not clever reasoning, Wael :D I'm not a mother but that doesn't mean I'll never be a mother! God has all the power in the world! He can do anything at anytime in anyway for any reason!

I think it's important to mention that the Catholic understanding of God is very different to Islam's, therefore, I doubt you'll ever comprehend the Incarnation & I doubt I'll ever comprehend Allah's (SWT) distance from humankind.

God bless.
