as salam alykom

may be I am late but better than never

Omar: the impact was very tangible. He went from a constantly drunk man to a brave warrior for Islam that Quran came to agreement with his opinion in three positions.

as salam alykom

another excellent example is Salman Al Faresyee who originally was the son of wealthy family which occupies a prominent position in terms of religion. He ran away to find the truth, leaving all the comfort and lavish behind wanting to find Allah, he became a student to a number of Christian priests, then had to cross to Arabia when the people after taking money for the trip decieved him and sold him as slave. Sobhan Allah, at the moment of his death, another companion was visiting him (can not recall his name), Salman told him I dont know how will I meet my Lord with all this extravagance around me. The man looked around to his very poor house inquiring what extravagance u r talking about, the whole thing is not worth 10 dirham. Salman said my loved one (referring to the Messenger sallah Allah A`alyhee wa sallam) adviced me to maintain provision in this world similar to that of the traveller.

Sobhan Allah, every time I read his story i get the same level of touch may be even deeper.

Think of this one too naseeha

Alsalam 'alaykom.

I have 2 for u

1) khaled ibn alwaleed, he was a great

mujahed, although he had fought

against the prophet in battle of Uhud,

but since he embraced islam, the

prophet called him ( Sayf Allah

Al-Maslool), which means the drawn

sword of Allah), he was a strong

leader.

2) Musa'ab ibn Umer: Musab ibn Umayr was born and grew up in the lap of affluence and luxury. His rich parents lavished a great deal of care and attention on him. He wore the most expensive clothes and the most stylish shoes of his time. Yemeni shoes were then considered to be very elegant and it was his privilege to have the very best of these.

this is a small paragraph from this site :
