do you guys love Allah? - Muslimah - 06-17-2003 Hi amai Read this topic: http://www.islamsms.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=873 and I want to suggest that u read Suratu Rahman (Quran 55) http://www.islamsms.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=450 http://www.islamsms.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=524 Read the three threads very carefully. And pls I really want u to know amai that non of us is here to just feel capable of winning a debate. We are actually here to help one another learn. We know how u feel, that is why if u notice, we are trying to help u even under your challenging tone sometime. Just read the threads amai. The Quran Alhamdulelah is Allah's word. I will give u an answer for your inquiry about the verse. Although u did not tell me our status according to you. Allah in this verse is commanding the Messenger PAPBUH to instruct Muslims about the necessity to obey Aallah and the Messenger. He Told him further, whoever denies Allah and the Messenger this right, or turn away rejecting such instructions (which were even preceded by another verse complimenting this meaning pls read it read from 30 - 32. the 3 verses explain each other) in return shall not be loved to Allah. In other words the command is for us Muslim. And to be a kafir (the Arabic word used in the verse) here, is a referrence to be denying Allah and the Messenger the right of obedience. Hope it is clear now. Glory be to Allah, the Quran explains itself. But u only stopped at one verse which is a part of a whole topic. Read them again now amai. Quran 30-32. Insha Allah u will understand. do you guys love Allah? - MichelleSeeking - 07-13-2003 Whisper, I have observed your manner of posting on this forum and I must say that you do not reflect the wisdom and charity that is expected of a Christian. You shame everyone that calls themselves Christian by your words. You are cocky, acting like a "Know it all" and typing "LOL" and thus laughing at the folks here is immature and unnecessary. Usually a person laughs at others for one of two reasons: they think they are superior (a very un-christian trait) or they feel uncomfortable and are trying to hide it. Writing "WHAT THE *****?" is totally unaceptable as a Christian. This does nothing but cast a bad light on our faith and I am ashamed for you. There is also no need whatsoever to shout at readers through capital letters. No one comes to this forum to be ordered around in such a rude manner. None of this behavior is acceptable or necessary. If you cannot conduct yourself in a mature and charitable manner then perhaps you should stop representing Christianity on this good forum and go somewhere else. I do not have the authority to kick you off of here but as a fellow Christian I deffinately have the right to hold you accountable for your actions - and your actions are not proper for a Christian. Just because you can quote the Bible doesn't mean you are glorifying God with your actions. I am left to wonder about your age and perhaps your ability to engage in a proper conversation. I ask you to please rein in your additude and try and display proper Christian behavior while you are here. The last time I looked, this forum was not called, "The Muslim vs. Christian Debate Forum". Yes, Christians are called to evelgalize but there is a huge difference between evangalization and being downright rude. To all who may have been offended by his/her posts and who may now look upon Christians in a different light, please allow me to extend my sincere apologies. Your sister in God, -Michelle do you guys love Allah? - Muslimah - 07-14-2003 Michelle, Sobhan Allah I did respect u much from your first post. Now my respect to u grow even more. [/b:3be9a77746][/color:3be9a77746] U r very much right about this. again welcome to our forum do you guys love Allah? - Muslimah - 07-14-2003 O and I forgot to tell u, Whisper was David then changed identity to Truth then to Whisper. Imagine. Sobhan Allah do you guys love Allah? - Whisper - 07-14-2003 8) You're quick!! You however think i changed my name to use three people here at the same time, my first name David is my actual name but I axed it, never used it again, then I went for "Truth", but looking at it, I decided to change it after a few days because i didn't like the name, finally I changed it to Whisper and I like the name, so they're just name changes, two were temporary and that is all. There is a message by me to you Muslimah in one of the topic's, it goes likes this "Are you knocking at my door or my neighbours door?" That's from a few months ago, if it's not verbatim, it's certainly close. See :?: do you guys love Allah? - Dave901 - 07-15-2003 Amai, Unless you have read both the Bible and the Koran you are still in the learning stages and should be more receptive to the ideas of others. If you can try and keep an open mind - read on. You point out that Isaac Newton said "I have a fundamental belief in the Bible as the Word of God” and then say “why would i believe in a book which has less evidence of being authentic?” I agree with Newton but do you think Newton ever read the Koran? If he did I think he would say the same about It. You seem to imply that if Newton thinks the Bible is accurate then the Koran must be wrong. Has it ever occurred to you that they are both accurate? After you read and compare the Bible and the Koran you will see there are no major contradictions. The minor contradictions can be caused by translation errors Mohammed believed the Bible. When you do some reading you will notice Islam, Judaism and the Christian religion are all based on the same religion. All three religions are based on the Old Testament. They are all the religions of Moses, Abraham, Joseph. The Koran and the Old Testament talk about the same events. I strongly recommend reading the Koran, the Old Testament and the four gospels. Then you will see, the Koran, the Old Testament and the four gospels do not contradict each other. The big difference is how these religions view Jesus. Jews don’t acknowledge Jesus. Christians believe he and God are one and the same. Moslems are in the middle believing Jesus was a prophet. If you read the 4 gospels of the New Testament you will see Jesus himself never considered himself the same as God. He would pray to God (What God would need to pray to himself). He often spoke of God as separate from him and Jesus never even claimed to know what God was thinking. For example when asked if the sons of Zebedee could sit at his right hand and his left when he ascends into heaven. He replied “That is not for me to decide but for God in heaven” Mathew 20:23 It was mainly Paul’s writings that portrayed Jesus and God as being the same. Paul wrote much of the New Testament. I think he was instrumental in starting Christianity as a religion. You mention that Isaiah knew that the Earth was round. Yes that is true. Most people, even one thousand years before Jesus, believed the Earth was round. Round like a plate, that is, not round like a ball. There are a couple of references in the Old Testament to the Earth being round but I’m not familiar with the one you were talking about. Please let me know what passage you were referencing but I am willing to bet it didn’t explicitly say the Earth was spherical. do you guys love Allah? - Guest - 07-17-2003 Salam Alaikum...and hello to non muslims...
