Rape Victim Pardoned - Karbala - 12-24-2007 Nude photos? I never heard anything about nude photos. There were photos the rapists were using to blackmail the victim. Also there was a photo the girl gave to her ex after he threatened to disclose the affair they were having over the phone, which she was trying to retrieve. Anyways the basic question I want answering is how this girl managed to ge the label of "adulteress" and how calltoislam manages to justify it using their "general zinaa" argument. Rape Victim Pardoned - Muslimah - 12-25-2007 Bismillah as salam alykom Karbala, you seem to be a logical person to me. Now can you pls just answer this question, is it halal or haram for a married woman to be alone with a non mahram in car in a secluded area????? from here we talk Insh a Allah. Rape Victim Pardoned - Muslimah - 12-26-2007 "O you who believe! Take not as (your) advisors and protectors those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Signs if you understand." (Quran 3:118) How truthful Quran is, Truth Sayer Is Allah. Quote:Bismillah Rape Victim Pardoned - Karbala - 12-26-2007 Quote:Bismillah Haram. Rape Victim Pardoned - Muslimah - 12-26-2007 Bismillah Regardless of shia and sunni, if she got the lashes, she got it for this purpose. And again, cannt u see the fingers of the same common enemy working hard on this case in particular? how many other cases you never heard of involved sunni women who were also punished with the same punishment. I very well remember one just last year. I dont want to promise looking for the reference. But everyday there are Hudud like this being held in the name of Allah. Why do we have to allow the enemy a platform to start crying and we follow, the enemy starts bringing this issue oooo because she is a shia, Cant u see this?? and for the record I read on other fourms Sunni women and men voicing againt the verdict. May Allah Protect our Awaraha, forgive our sins, and let us run away from sins just like we reject eating dead meat ameen. Rape Victim Pardoned - Karbala - 12-26-2007 I never made this a shia sunni issue. I didnt like the first paragraph of Dans calltoislam article because it containted the words heretics and rawaafidh but thats a different issue. I dont like what the saudi courts did because I believe it was unfair. Nothing to do with sectarian issues. What the girl of Qatif did was haram but the ta'azir punishment given to her was wrong. The Hudood laws were wrongly applied. I still want the question answered. Why has she been called an adulteress? Why was the ta'azir punishment given to her? Rape Victim Pardoned - SisterJennifer - 12-27-2007 Asalaamu alikum, Actually, I am interested to know the answer for that as well. Of course I underastand it is haram to be alone with a non Mahram man, but it is from shariah that you actually be beaten for that? This is why the sentance is there? I thought it was for fornication, but perhaps I am mistaken? Rape Victim Pardoned - Karbala - 12-27-2007 Yes Sisterjennifer that is exactly my point. The Saudi courts issues a punishment based on Ta'azir which is an interpretation or extra-Shariah punishment. the calltoislam article Dan posted try to justify it by using a very strange "general zinaa" argument, tantamount to calling the Qatif girl a "general adulteress". I dont buy any of it. Rape Victim Pardoned - Muslimah - 12-27-2007 Bismillah Karbala, I m not really sure if you really did read the article. Here is the explanation for what is puzzling you Karbala, and I think you are being also affected with the over hyping western media. In this article, when we use the word “affair” and “adultery” then we are not referring to the actual sex act (i.e. penetration), but we use these words in the more general sense. The words such as “Zinnah”, “adulterous”, and “affair” are commonly used to refer to any relationship that threatens the marital oaths. Therefore, we consider the woman to be adulterous who sends nude photos of herself to men that are not her husband, has flirtatious chats with them on the internet, secretly meets up with them behind her husband’s back, etc. These crimes may not deserve the Hadd punishment, but they are deserving of the Ta’zeer punishment. And the hadeeth you quoted regarding each one will have a taste of zina does not stand as an argument to let go in a proven case. She herself confessed having an affair behind her husband's back, may Allah Allow her to repent and return back to Allah ameen. And may Allah Conceal our faults ameen. Just as you explained, i m surprised that you explain and then become confused, she got lashes because she was not caught or confess of the act. But they rather used Taazeer. Thus if your only problem is descibing her as adultress, I think in Arabic they wouldnt use Zaniyah. Rape Victim Pardoned - Karbala - 12-27-2007 Salam, Quote:Karbala, I m not really sure if you really did read the article. Muslimah please I think you know better than to patronise people. I asked the simple qustion why the Qatif girl is being labelled an "adulterer" or a "Zaani" in Dan's calltoislam article. Thus Quote:if your only problem is descibing her as adultress, I think in Arabic they wouldnt use Zaniyah. Ok let me see if I understand you. The wouldnt use the word Zaniyah in Arabic for the Qatif girl right? Muslimah did you read the article carefully? Quote:The Qatif woman was tried in a court of law and found guilty of Zinnah (in the general sense of the word). She is a convicted Zaani (adulterer). Look Muslimah they used the word Zaani. Do you agree with this? You just said yourself they wouldnt use the word zaniyah in arabic. Zaani, zaniyah isnt it the same word? Am I missing something here? I also asked the simple question why the Ta'azir punishment was justified? Quote:Therefore, we consider the woman to be adulterous who sends nude photos of Nowhere in this paragraph is there an explanation why Ta'azir punishment is justified for a woman who has done "khalwa" with a non-mahram man. There were no nude photos by the way. |
