FBI confirms Qur'an Desecration

While the deliberate trivialities of whether the Qur'an was desecrated or not continues, reports leak out that the FBI were receiving complaints from as far back as 2002. 'Building a Successful Palestinian State'
April 2005 report by R.A.N.D.
An analytical report aimed for the Roadmap Quartet and the Palestinian and Jewish authorities, providing tangible steps towards the Kufr state of Palestine. This two year report addresses the issues of internal security and governance, demographics, economy, water, social, education and health. While it brims with confidence R.A.N.D.'s (U.S.) major flaw is the assumption that the Muslims have now resigned themselves to the acceptance of the illegitimate Jewish state. It was this same arrogance and blindness to the reality that eventually brought the downfall of the Persian and Roman empires.

plz help regarding Tawassul |

Assalamualaikum,Dear members please help me to
clear my doubts own tawassul..i.e approaching Allah in dua
through the status of prophet(pbuh)..saying oh Allah we approach u for so and so
through the status of our prophet( pbuh)...
i found two opinions.. some scholars say.its totally haraam,, but
shafii and hanafi scholars say its permissible ..as they got this hadith of
blind man who came to prophet and prophet taught him how to make dua using his(pbuh)
status..the whole text which i found on a shafii site is below
<b>Tawassul through the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) is permissible. In fact, it is recommended in du'a, as it has been established by the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), and is agreed upon by the majority of the early and late scholars. This is conveyed by Shaykh al-Islam Taqi Subki, saying: “Tawassul to one's Lord through the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) is praiseworthy. Not one early or late scholar disapproved it, except for Ibn Taymiyah, who innovated something no scholar before him said”. </b>
Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah relate through a rigorous chain of narrators from 'Uthman ibn Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with them) that “A blind man came to the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and said, 'Please pray to Allah for me that He may heal me.' The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said: 'If you wish I will pray [for you], but if you are patient, it is better for you.' The man said: 'Pray to Him'. The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) directed him to make a meticulous ablution (wudu), and then make the following du'a: 'O Allah, I ask You and turn to You through my Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy; O Muhammad, I seek your intercession with my Lord for my need, that it may be fulfilled. O Allah, grant him intercession for me'”. Tirmidhi stated that the hadith is well or rigorously authenticated. [Translator's note: According to this hadith as mentioned in The Reliance of the Traveler (p. 935), one prays 2 rak'as after making wudu and before saying the above mentioned du'a.]
There is no difference between the tawassul made during the life the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), and after his passing away. In both cases, it is permissible. This is because the above mentioned hadith contains a command to make tawassul, and does not specify that it be done during the life of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) or after his passing away. It is upon those claiming a differentiation to provide supporting evidence for their claim. Furthermore, the reality of tawassul is nothing but supplicating by means of the high station of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) with his Lord, Mighty and Majestic. His station exists during his life and after his death (Allah bless him and give him peace). Making tawassul does not imply the Prophet's (Allah bless him and give him peace) influence over or management of affairs, as this is exclusive to Allah, Mighty and Majestic.
Whoever deems it permissible to make tawassul through the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) during his life time, but impermissible to do so after his passage to the hereafter, believing that influence vanishes after death, holds a clearly problematic belief, for attributing an influence over affairs to other than Allah. According to the Ahlu Sunnah this a straying.
All of what is mentioned above concerning the Prophet also applies to the rest of the prophets (Allah bless them and give them peace), the awliya and the righteous. Therefore, it is permissible to make tawassul through them to Allah, whether during their life time or after their death. The proof for this is the hadith Bukhari narrates about 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) making tawassul through 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him), the uncle of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as follows: “ Anas ibn Malik narrated that whenever there was a drought, 'Umar ibn Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him)used to pray for rain through 'Abbas ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib, saying: 'O Allah, we used to make tawassul to you by our Prophet and you would send us rain. Here we are making tawassul to you by the uncle of our Prophet, so send us rain.' He said and they would be given rain.” Al-Hafidh ibn Hajar mentioned in his commentary: “From the story of 'Abbas it follows that seeking intercession through the pious, the righteous and the Ahlul Bait (family of the Prophet) is praiseworthy”.

Memoirs from the life of Imam Ahmad
by Brother Muhammad al-Sharîf
In an interesting book, Wadâ' ar-Rasul li `Ummatihi, Shaykh Al-Qahtâni recalls the final words that Rasul Allâh said on his deathbed.
After living a life of Jihad, Da'wah, and Ibâdah, Rasul Allâh (saw) gathered the people around him on his deathbed and said,
<b>“I have left two things that you shall not go astray after them so long as you stick to them: the Book of Allâh and My Sunnah.” </b>
After Rasul Allâh (saw) moved onto Ar-Rafîq al-`Alâ, the Ummah was tested with humans that tried to corrupt, discredit, or amputate the Sunnah from Islam.
And from the depths of the Ummah's men and women, Allâh ta'ala – from His mercy to the Ummah of Muhammad - raised up warriors that would stand in the face of the most vicious of the enemies of the Sunnah.
From those people that Allâh ta'ala raised was a young boy named Ahmad. Ahmad lived in Baghdad over a thousand years ago. On those cold wintry nights, his mother – the blessed Mu'minah that she was – would wake long before Fajr to warm the water for her son. Then – again long before Fajr – she would wake him to make Wudu, then she would wrap him in shawls and off through the molten dark alleys of Baghdad they would carefully make their way to the Masjid.
There was no male to escort him (he was an orphan), so Ahmad's mother would take him that early so that he could get a good seat in the Hadith halaqah after Fajr. Then she would wait for him long after the sun rose to safely escort him back home. Her son grew up to be one of these warrior defenders of the Sunnah, one of the four Imams of this Dîn, Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal.
In his collection, al-Musnad alone, he narrated from over 280 teachers. He grew up under the shade of the Sunnah and he lived the Sunnah. It was reported that he said,
<b> "I've never written a hadith that I did not try to implement." </b>
And he raised his children like this too. When you see other fathers throwing a baseball with their young Muslims that Allâh entrusted them with, remember this example:
Abdullâh, Imam Ahmad's son, taught his students that when he was young his father would play with him,
<b> "Take any chapter you wish from the Musannaf of Wakî'. Ask me any hadith and I'll tell you the chain of narrators, or tell me any chain of narrators and I'll tell you the hadith!" </b>
He was challenged in his Dîn like few other humans have been challenged. His name remains engraved in our admiration till today - across hundreds of years, across thousands of miles, across thousands of nations – because of his love for the Sunnah and his stand against those that would seek to corrupt it.
Reading through his life, I came across an event that brought back sad memories. How do you feel when your father is swore at in public. Imam Ahmad once prayed Asr and he sat with his son in the Masjid alone with another man by the name of Muhammad ibn Sa'îd Al- Khuttalî. Al-Khuttalî then remarked,
"Did you (O Ahmad) tell the people to boycott Zayd ibn Khalaf?"
Imam Ahmad replied,
<b> "I received a letter from his people asking about his affair, so I replied explaining his Madhhab and what he has innovated (in the Sunnah) and commanded that they not sit with him.." </b>
Al-Khuttalî exploded in Imam Ahmad's face, red with anger,
"I'm going to make sure you go back to prison. I'm going to have them crush your ribs…"
The vulgarity grew louder and louder. Imam Ahmad turned to his son,
<b> "Don't reply to what he says and don't speak to him." </b>
Imam Ahmad took his sandals - al-Khuttali swearing from behind his back - and told his son,
<b> "Tell the neighbors to not speak to him nor to reply him." </b>
Imam Ahmad stepped away as Al-Khuttali continued in the background cursing and shouting profanity.
When the Khalifah al-Mu'tasim heard that Imam Ahmad had not agreed with him and his court Muftis on a specific issue, they brought him and questioned him in the courtyard of the Khalifah. They would debate with him and like a gladiator with a spear he would hit back with bigger and stronger arguments. The Muftis would shout, "O khalifah, he has done Kufr!" Until the Al-Mu'tasim was convinced and in came the executioners.
They stripped Imam Ahmad and each of the strongest guards would take turns lashing Imam Ahmad until he fell unconscious. Regardless of his state, they continued the lashing. The sun went down that day and Imam Ahmad had not relented in his faith. That day he became an icon for all followers of Sunnah.
Qutaybah said,
"If you ever see someone that loves Imam Ahmad, know that they are a follower of the Sunnah."
Al Hasan ibn Arafah narrated,
"I visited Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal after he was whipped and tortured. I said to him, "O Abu Abdillâah, you have reached the station of the Prophets!" He said, <b>"Keep quiet. Verily, I saw nothing more than people selling their Dîn. And I saw scholars that were with me sell their Faith. So I said to myself, `Who am I, what am I. What am I going to say to Allâh tomorrow when I stand in front of Him and He asks me, "Did you sell your Dîn like the others did?" So I looked at the whip and the sword and chose them. And I said, "If I die I shall return to Allâh and say: `I was told to say that one of Your Characteristics was something created but I did not.' After that, it will be up to Him - either to punish me or forgive me."</b>
Al-Hasan ibn Arafah then asked,
"Did you feel pain when they whipped you?"
He said
<b> "Yes, I felt the pain up to 20 lashes then I lost all feeling (They whipped him over eighty times). After it was over I felt no pain and that day I prayed Dhuhr standing." </b>
[in fact he prayed as the blood soiled his clothes.]
Al-Hasan ibn Arafah started weeping when he heard what had happened. Imam Ahmad questioned him,
<b> "Why are you crying? I did not lose my Iman. After that why should I care if I lose my life." </b>
[Qul lan yusîbana illa mâ kataballâhu lana, huwa Mowlâna, wa ala Allâhi falyatawakkalil mutawakkilun.]
Before – when Imam Ahmad was being led off to the Khalifah – people had tried to dissuade him from a most certain execution. His student: Al-Marrudhî had told him, "O teacher, Allâh says, [Do not kill yourselves]." Imam Ahmad had replied, <b>"O Marrudhî, go outside and tell me what you see." </b>Al-Marrudhî went to the wall of the Khalifahs court and saw an ocean of students with their pens and scrolls in their hands.
Al-Marrudhî asked some of them, "What are you waiting here for?" They said, "We are waiting to see what Ahmad will say and then transcribe it." Al-Marrudhî went back to Imam Ahmad and told him what he had seen. "O Marrudhî,"he said, "what shall I gain by misguiding all those people?"
Imam Ahmad lived a life of poverty. When others eat lavishly remember there were days – as Abdurrazzaq recalls – that Imam Ahmad would make a mistake in Salah. When Abdurrazzaq inquired further he learnt that Imam Ahmad had not eaten for 3 days.
In this life of poverty, hardship and trials, Abdullah asked his father one day, "Abi when will we ever relax?" His father, one of the greatest revivers of the Sunnah, a role model for all Muslims, looked him in the eye and said, <b>"With the first step we take into Jannah."</b>
Rahim Allâhu Al-Imam Ahmad.

<b>the importance of purifiying the spritual heart (tazkiyah tul nafs) </b>
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the importance of tazkiyah tul-nafs can not be stressed enough times, people keep going on about the importance of knowledge, but what seems to have happened know is that people have left tazkiyah tun nafs, which is basically purifying the heart from the spiritual diseases, for example: Jealousy, arrogance etc... They are right in some aspect but tazkiyah is also needed.
We can some what see the importance of this in the situation of Satan (iblis). when he was put to the test before Adam (a.s) as we know the story, who can claim that he/she will or has more knowledge than satan except the prophets, he not only had knowledge but he had it with certainty, meaning that he saw with his own eyes the paradise, hell, the angels, the prophets and moreover he saw Allah (swt)
not only that but he even spoke to Allah (swt), but having all this knowledge did not help him one bit, for instance when he was put to the test before Adam (a.s) and told to bow he did not, therefore he became expelled and cursed forever. There his evil spiritual heart disease came out and it manifested. this then as we know caused him to fall, know one may ask that if he had all this knowledge then how come he still fell, the answer is that he did not do tazkiyah on himself and therefore even though having all this knowledge he still fell, for the very reason that he could not implement his knowledge properly, he just was implementing it outwardly and not inwardly and therefore when he was put to the test he failed drastically.
Allah (swt) himself stresses the importance of Tazkiyah tun nafs in sura shams: to the nearest meaning that
"Successful is the one who has purified himself"
The heirs of the prophet (sallahualihiwasalam) are the Awliyah (the people who have purified themselves) who have purified themselves inwardly and outwardly, by following the Sunnah of the Prophet (sallahualihiwasalam) inwardly e.g. by not hating another Muslim brother which the prophet (sallahualihiwasalam) was like inwardly, And by following the Sunnah outwardly. like our past generations for example: Syedina Abdul Azeez Dabbagh (r.a) who lived and died in Fez, morocco (Maghrib), imam Ghazali, shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani etc... not the normal scholars who just have knowledge but do not implement what they have learnt one bit, this is why most of our normal Ulema are not properly representing the teaching which they have learnt or the past generations who acted by what they knew the reason is because they have not purified themselves, this is why we often see scholars getting into disputes etc...
The people who have purified themselves (the Awliyah) are the ones of whom Allah (swt) praises them in front of angels and tells them look such and such a person is my obedient slave.
People keep on going to conferences after conferences but they do not change one bit they stay exactly the same as they had before they went to the talk. And once the talk has been finished then they straight away go home put the TV on and completely forget about the talk or seminar they had just been to, and the lessons they had learnt,
Because talks after talks will not change a person unless he takes manifest actions to do it to change himself. Allah (swt) will not pick up a person and change him although it has happened in the past but it was very rarely probably 1 in a billion. As Allah (swt) says in the glorious Quran to the nearest meaning that “if you take one step towards me then i would take to steps towards you...". From this we can see that Allah (swt) is ready all the time to forgive and to take us close to him but the slackness is in us. As Allah (swt) says that he wants us to take those initial steps towards him and then the remaining journey will be easy inshallah because then ALLAH (SWT) special mercy and forgiveness will come and help that person. These (talks after talks which people seem to go to every time and not change even one bit) are only fulfilling the desires of the nafs, and then once it has been fulfilled then they simply forget.
inshallah if you want to know more than i shall tell you. Volume 8, Book 76, Number 481: Narrated Sahl bin Sa'd: Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him." self purification is essential for a human being to cure themselves from performing sins.
Tassawwuf is a very deep science of Islam, which most people do not seek to understand. Unfortunately, there are also many who refute it ,while they have not studied the details.
You are correct, allah speaks about purification in surah ash shams. Not just that, many people may have not pondered over this, but allah (swt) in this surah, swears by seven things from His creation to emphasise on this one point, ie purification of soul.
>>
When allah swears by something, it is not to add to the reality of what He is saying, because whatever He has said in the Quran, is nothing but truth, however, the swear makes the issue more emphatic - To draw a closer attention of the reader to the issue - to indicate the importance of the matter, etc. Elsewhere in the Quran allah may have sworn by one or two things, to illustrate a point, but I dont remember comming across seven swears in a row to illustrate one point, except in surah ash shams. How important it is to purify the soul, if we all would understand, there will be more harmony on earth, insha allah.
>>

2. By the Moon as she follows him;
