Click for Charity: Humanitarian Crisis in Lebanon & Palestine

Simplyislam.com will donate 10p to The Fosis Appeal for every visitor click

United Nations is warning of a humanitarian catastrophe. "The situation is both alarming and catastrophic. There are about 500,000 people displaced. The situation is extreme" said Beirut's UNICEF representative Roberto Laurenti. He further stated, "We are concerned about their conditions, especially because of electricity cuts, lack of water, lack of food and medical supplies and sanitary conditions which could lead to illness."

On the war front in Palestine air raids and ground assaults have left close to 200 people dead. Many of the casualties have been civilians, and hundreds of people have been injured. Like Lebanon, Gaza has suffered major damage to its roads, bridges and government buildings. The only power plant in Gaza has been destroyed, and Palestinians have had to face severe electricity shortages and water supply problems.

 world wild survey
Posted by: jameela - 10-08-2006, 09:56 AM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

salam

Worldwide survey was conducted by the UN. The only question asked was:

"Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?"

The survey was a huge failure.

In Africa they didn't know what 'food' meant,

In India they didn't know what 'honest' meant,

In Europe they didn't know what 'shortage' meant,

In China they didn't know what 'opinion' meant,

In the Middle East they didn't know what 'solution' meant,

In South America they didn't know what 'please' meant,

And in the USA they didn't know what 'the rest of the world' meant.

:lailahaillallah:

Dear Brothers and sister , Salam to you all and happy Ramadan

I asked this very same question one year ago, and I now ask the same question again, “why is it that many thousand of Muslim brother and sister don’t cerebrate this beautiful month of Ramadan in UK together at the start of the month”?. I could bet you a billion that this year the same has and would happen again, when is it official from the Muslim Council of Britain about cerebrating Eid-ul-Fa

Just give me the right date.

I pray to Allah to guide you and me in straight path.

Posted by: khalilah0312 - 10-07-2006, 03:06 PM - Forum: Islam - Replies (15)

As Salaamu Waalaikum

This is a reminder that not only new shahadah's can benefit from but all muslim and muslimah's as well so insha'allah this touches EVERYONE!

THe Three Groups Of People On The Day Of Judgement

1. The Disbelievers---Those whom disregarded Allah (Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) Quran and Sunnah and their abode will be the Jahanam (Hellfire)

2. The Muslim's---Those whom submits to the will of Allah (Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) but lacks Iman (Faith) and faces possibilities of the Jahanam ( Hellfire)

BUT because of their Iman (Faith) they will be saved and go to Jannah (Paradise) by Allah (Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) permission and mercy

3. The Muminun's (The Believer's)----Those whom has fullfilled ALL obligations of Iman (Faith) and will go directly to Jannah ( Paradise) wihout punishment

May Allah ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) grant us all to become Mumin & Mumina as those he Blessed to be before us ( Salaf--- Predecessors) Ameen :D

As Salaamu Waalaikum

Just wanted to share again Masha'allah :)

The Three Principles Of Ibadah (Worship)

1. LOVE for ALLAH ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) and his MESSENGER THE PROPHET MUHAMMED ( Sallallahu Alayhe Wasalaam)

2. FEAR for ALLAH ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) DISPLEASURE AND PUNISHMENT

3. HOPE for ALLAH ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) PLEASURE AND REWARD

THESE ARE ALSO GOOD FUNDAMENTALS TO HAPPINESS IN ISLAM IF THEY ARE FOLLOWED CORRECTLY

May Allah Grant all of us Peace and Piety Ameen :D

 Reminder For The Believers
Posted by: khalilah0312 - 10-07-2006, 02:18 PM - Forum: Islam - Replies (1)

As Salaamu Waalaikum

When Allah ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) use to send trial upon the Salaf ( Radi'allah anhum) they use to give thanks to Allah( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) for three good reasons:

1. They was thankful that the trial wasn't with their deen meaning he willed for them to stay tranquil and upon the Siratal Musta-qeem (Al-humduillah)

2.That Allah ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) Didn't make the trial greater than what it could have been

Example:

Your walking down the street and you loose $100.00 dollars masha'allah but al-humduillah be grateful it wasn't more!

3.That Allah ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) bestowed is favours upon them and aloud them to have Subur (patience) through their trial

So this is proof from those before us that when Allah ( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) sends trial upon you be happy and content because when Allah (Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) wants good for his servants he test them and if you are a TRUE believer you will be please with your lord

May Allah( Subhan Allah Wa Ta'ala) give us all Taufiq and keep us upon the Siratal Musta-qeem Ameen :D

Bismillah

as salam alykom brothers and sisters

"Or like the one who passed by a town and it had tumbled over its roofs. He said: "Oh! How will Allah ever bring it to life after its death?" So Allah caused him to die for a hundred years, then raised him up (again). He said: "How long did you remain (dead)?" He (the man) said: "(Perhaps) I remained (dead) a day or part of a day". He said: "Nay, you have remained (dead) for a hundred years, look at your food and your drink, they show no change; and look at your donkey! And thus We have made of you a sign for the people. Look at the bones, how We bring them together and clothe them with flesh".
When this was clearly shown to him, he said, "I know (now) that Allah is Able to do all things."

As one may understand, the dialogue made in the green font is between the one who was questioning the revival of the town and Allah.

While he is not specifically identified in the Ayah, of course, since in some positions Allah does not stress the pesonalilty but rather the incident. In this case, Allah Is Willing to teach those who are skeptic about resurrection a lesson.

My question is, since a dialogue took place, does this mean this person was a Prophet? And Sobhan Allah, as it is apparent, the dialogue was direct not thru jebreel. Or did i miss something/

If anyone can help, jazakum Allah khairan.
