Peace to you all,
Jabir Ibn Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless and greet him, said (relating what Jibreel, peace be upon him, said when he came to him) : "....And know that Sharaf (honour and nobility)of the believer lies in his qiyamul layl (standing in Tahajjud), and his 'Izzah (dignified greatness) lies in being needless (and independent) from the people". [Al-Hakim, 3289/Tabarani, 4278].
The more you stand before Allah, Most High, in the silent depths of the nights....seeking His help and relying upon Him alone....the more we feel content and certain of being granted provision; the less we rely on people around us or worry about what they possess. Indeed, the Night Prayer, otherwise called Tahajjud has many other benefits... find some of them in the attachment below. May Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant us the opportunity and ability to be observing the Night Prayer regularly...amen.

Assalam alaykum,
I wish to share with you the attached famous 40 Hadith of An-Nawawi, compiled by Imam Yahya Ibn Sharaf An-Nawawi As-Shafi'ee. It carries 40 Prophetic Traditions.... find time to peruse/study them and partake in the Light, Knowledge and Guidance therein.
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) employed an employee (to collect Zakat). The employee returned after completing his job and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! This (amount of Zakat) is for you, and this (other amount) was given to me as a present." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Why didn't you stay at your father's or mother's house and see if you would be given presents or not?" Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got up in the evening after the prayer, and having testified that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and praised and glorified Allah as He deserved, he said, "Now then ! What about an employee whom we employ and then he comes and says, 'This amount (of Zakat) is for you, and this (amount) was given to me as a present'? Why didn't he stay at the house of his father and mother to see if he would be given presents or not? By Him in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, none of you will steal anything of it (i.e. Zakat) but will bring it by carrying it over his neck on the Day of Resurrection. If it has been a camel, he will bring it (over his neck) while it will be grunting, and if it has been a cow, he will bring it (over his neck), while it will be mooing; and if it has been a sheep, he will bring it (over his neck) while it will be bleeding." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "I have preached you (Allah's Message)." Abu Humaid said, "Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised his hands so high that we saw the whiteness of his armpits."

Abdullah ibn Salam (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated
When the Prophet arrived for the first time in Madinah, I went with everyone to see him. When I saw him, I knew his face was not that of a liar. The first words he said were, “O people, feed the hungry, spread Salam (greeting of peace), maintain your kin relationships, and pray at night while others are asleep. With this, you shall enter Heaven in peace.” (Al-Bukhari)
However, I believe that the part regarding spreading salam (peace) is not restricted on merely greeting one another, as teh Messenger salla Allah a'lyhee wa sallam said literaly, spread peace rather than greet each other which would be (hayo). Therefore, this would mean spreading peace in each and every aspect, speaking, dealing with one another, reacting to certain actions, doing business..etc, to mention only a few. It is expected to create a conducive environment for kind and proper mannersim, kind relations, easiness of life processes..etc.
With the name of God the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
The Quran swears by destruction of stars and the subsequent formation of black holes to prove it is sent by God. (In 53:1 An oath by the destruction of stars is taken, In 56:75-76 An oath by the enormity of this event is taken, In 81:15-18 Formation of black holes which form after the destruction of giant stars and the fact that matter and light cannot escape is mentioned) - Below are the specific ayaat:
53:1: By the star when it Hawa (destructs, blows up)
53:2: Has neither Dalla (gone astray), Your Companion (Muhammad Blessings and Peace of God be upon him) nor Ghawa (nor is being misled)
53:3: Nor does he speak from Hawa (emotion)
53:4: It is not but a Wahi (revelation, inspiration) Yuha (revealed, inspired)
56:75: Fa (So) La (No), uqsimu (I swear, I take an oath) by the mawaq'i (occurrences, events) of the Nujuum (stars)
56:76: And indeed, it is surely an oath - if you knew - Azeem (tremendous, A supernova is a tremendous event during which more energy may be released than the Sun will in its entire life span)
56:77: That (this) is indeed a recital Kareem (honorable, the Qur'an in Arabic).
56:78: In a Book kept Maknoon (hidden).
56:79: Which (that Book with God) none can touch but the Mutaharoon (purified, the angels, the book in which is pre-written everything that will occur)
56:80: (It is) a tanzeel (sending down of revelation) from the Lord of the Alameen (human beings and Jinn (another creation given the gift of speech))
56:81: Then is it to this statement that you are Mudhinoon (indifferent)
56:82: And make (the thanks) for your provision that you Tukaziboon (lie about the Provider)
56:83: Then why (do you) not, when (death) reaches the Hulqoom (throat)
56:84: And you are at that time Tanzuroon (looking on)
56:85: And we (angels) are nearer to him than you, but you do not Tubsiroon (see)
56:86: Then why (do you) not, if you are not to be Madineen (recompensed, punished or rewarded)
56:87: Bring it (the soul) back, if you are Sadiqeen (truthful?)
56:88: If (the deceased) was of the Muqarabeen (close to God, from the foremost in doing good works)
56:89: Then (for him is) rauh and rayhan and a garden of Naeem (pleasure)
56:90: And if he was of the Ashab Al-Yameen (people of the right)
56:91: Then salam (safety from all bad things, paradise as well) for you, from the Ashab Al-Yameen.
56:92: But if he was from the Mukazibeen (liars and who were) Daaleen (astray, e.g. people with lots of money who didn't care about the starving)
56:93: Then (for him is) accommodation of Hameem (intensely hot scalding water)
56:94: And burning in Jaheem (intense Hellfire)
56:95: Verily, this! This is Haq-ul-Yaqeen (the Truth with certainty)
56:96: Fa sabbih (So declare free from faults) the name of your Lord, Al-Azeem (Tremendous)
81:15: Fa (So) La (No), uqsimu (I swear, I take an oath) by Khunnas (drawn together objects) (When a massive star destructs, it subsequently draws together i.e. 10 times the mass of the sun is drawn to within a 30 km diameter in the stellar category of black holes)
81:16: Those that run (their courses) and Kunnas (sweep whatever is in their path, matter cannot escape)
81:17: And the night as it us'us (the darkness of a black hole is different than regular darkness)
81:18: And the light as it Tanaffus (As it gets pulled in, even light cannot escape)
81:19: Verily, this is the Word (this Qur'an brought by) a messenger Kareem (honourable, Jibrael (Gabriel), from God to the last human messenger)
81:20: (Who is) possessed of power and with the Owner of the Arsh (uppermost construction in heaven), Makeen (secure in position),
81:21: Obeyed there (in the heavens) and Ameen (trustworthy)
81:22: And your companion is not (at all) Majnoon (mad)
81:23: And he has already seen him (Gabriel) in the horizon Mubeen (clear)
81:24: And he (the last messenger) is not with the unseen Daneen (a with-holder, concealer of knowledge)
81:25: And it (the Qur'an) is not the word of Satan, Rajeem (expelled from the heavens).
81:26: So where are you Tazhaboon (going?)
81:27: It (the Quran) is not except a remembrance for the Alameen
81:28: For whoever wills among you that (he or she) Yastaqeem (stay straight, do what is right and avoid straying from what is right)
81:29: And you will not, except (it be) that Allah wills - Lord of the Alameen.
3:84: Say, "We have believed in Allah (God) and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Ibrahim (Abraham), Isma'il (Ishmael), Ishaque (Isaac), Ya'qub (Jacob), and Al-Asbat (the tribes from the twelve sons of Ya'qub), and in what was given to Musa (Moses) and 'Iesa (Jesus) and to the Nabbiyun (those who brought news of the unseen) from their Lord. We make no division between any of them, and we to (God) are Muslimoon (those who submit to God)".

CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt's top military council gave the army chief, Field Marshal Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, a green light on Monday to seek election as president, a vote he is almost sure to win with Egyptians weary of turmoil unleashed by a pro-democracy uprising in 2011.
Sisi deposed elected Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July after mass unrest over his increasingly arbitrary and erratic rule, kindling political chaos and security crackdowns on dissent in the Arab world's most populous nation.
He has since taken on almost cult-like popularity in Egypt, with many seeing him as a decisive figure able to stabilize a country that has lurched from one economically ruinous crisis to another since the 2011 overthrow of autocrat Hosni Mubarak.
"(The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces) is looking forward with respect and reverence to the desire of the huge masses of the great Egyptian people in the nomination of ... Abdel Fattah al-Sisi for the presidency of the republic, which it considers a mandate and an obligation," the military high command said in a statement.
"The top army officials all okayed Sisi running for the presidency," said a security source. The 59-year-old career officer is expected to announce his candidacy within days.
Hours before top generals approved Sisi contesting the election, the presidency announced he had been promoted to field marshal from general, in what security officials said was a sign he is about to declare his candidacy for the presidency.
"The decision was expected and it is the first step before the resignation of the general and his candidacy announcement, which is now expected very soon," said a security official.
In order for Sisi to contest the election, he has to resign from his post as defense minister and from the military.
After toppling Mursi, Sisi unveiled a political road map that promised free and fair elections in Egypt, which is of great strategic importance because of its 1979 peace treaty with Israel and control of the Suez Canal.
Sisi and U.S. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel spoke by phone on Monday, discussing the next steps in the country's political transition and acknowledging the firm U.S.-Egypt partnership in the face of recent militant attacks, a Pentagon spokesman said.
Hagel is considered an important channel of communications with Egypt because of the close military ties between Cairo and Washington.
The United States provides Egypt with about $1.55 billion in aid annually, most of it military assistance. But U.S. officials said in October the United States would withhold some of that assistance, including weaponry and cash, pending progress on democracy and human rights issues.
ISLAMISTS ACCUSE SISI OF COUP
Despite his popularity, Sisi has no pedigree as a democrat and has shown himself willing to apply deadly force against those who disagree with him.
The Muslim Brotherhood accuses him of staging a coup by effectively putting the Egyptian government back under the domination of the military as it was before Mubarak's exit and aborting its professed transition to democracy.
The Brotherhood holds Sisi responsible for what it says are widespread human rights abuses in a security crackdown that has killed nearly 1,000 Islamists. Top Brotherhood leaders including Mursi are all in jail and facing trial.
But in addition to many people in the street, Sisi enjoys the backing of the army, Egypt's most powerful institution, as well as the Interior Ministry, many liberal politicians and Mubarak-era officials and businessmen who have made a comeback since the political demise of Mursi.
Judging by his appeal, those forces are likely to give him plenty of time to prove himself as president, and there are no other politicians who could challenge Sisi anytime soon.
Deputy Prime Minister Ziad Bahaa El-Din, a moderate in the army-backed government, tendered his resignation on Monday.
Bahaa El-Din, a lawyer, had called for a more inclusive political process in a nation that, crippled by prolonged violent unrest that has shattered the economy, appears to be growing less tolerant of dissent by the day.
"A crucial stage of the road map is now over. It required keeping a unified front and avoiding disputes in order for the nation to emerge from constitutional and economic collapse," said a letter posted on Bahaa El-Din's Facebook page said. "Now that we start a new phase where the country is preparing for successive elections ... I ask that you accept my resignation."
Bahaa El-Din is in charge of an economic team that includes the ministers of finance, trade and industry, supply, planning and investment, as well as the governor of the central bank.

May I have the pleasure of sharing with you the attached booklet, being Tafsir (Translation) of the Holy Qur'an, attributed to Sayyid Abdullah Sahal al-Tustari. This remarkable Tafsir helps in explaining and contextualizing the revelation. It is indeed one of the earliest surviving Sufi commentary on the Qur'an. Enjoy it.
May I bring to your attention B.S Nursi's compendium of Letters addressed to his disciplines proving the Existence of God Most High, the Resurrection, the Day of Judgement, Prophethood and many more issues of religious interest. Find time to examine them, you will be glad you did.
