How Islam is pioneer! - Muslimah - 03-05-2014 In fighting corruption: Narrated Abu Humaid As-Sa`idi: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) employed an employee (to collect Zakat). The employee returned after completing his job and said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! This (amount of Zakat) is for you, and this (other amount) was given to me as a present." The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Why didn't you stay at your father's or mother's house and see if you would be given presents or not?" Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) got up in the evening after the prayer, and having testified that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and praised and glorified Allah as He deserved, he said, "Now then ! What about an employee whom we employ and then he comes and says, 'This amount (of Zakat) is for you, and this (amount) was given to me as a present'? Why didn't he stay at the house of his father and mother to see if he would be given presents or not? By Him in Whose Hand Muhammad's soul is, none of you will steal anything of it (i.e. Zakat) but will bring it by carrying it over his neck on the Day of Resurrection. If it has been a camel, he will bring it (over his neck) while it will be grunting, and if it has been a cow, he will bring it (over his neck), while it will be mooing; and if it has been a sheep, he will bring it (over his neck) while it will be bleeding." The Prophet (ﷺ) added, "I have preached you (Allah's Message)." Abu Humaid said, "Then Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) raised his hands so high that we saw the whiteness of his armpits." Narrated under the authority of Yazeed bin Abi Sofyan that he said: Abu Bakr Assediq may Allah be pleased with him told me when he commissioned me to Sham, O Yazeed: you have relatives, you might favor them with leadership positions, this is what I am mostly concerned about you for, specially that the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam said: "One who assumes leadership position over Muslims, and assigned over them a leader based on favoritism, shall incur the curse of Allah, Allah Shall not accept from his compulsory or optional good deeds, until Allah Admits him to Juhannum" How Islam is pioneer! - Muslimah - 03-21-2014 In accountability and transparency: Narrated under the authority of Abdullah Bin Moghfal Al Mazny, may Allah Be pleased with him saying: I hereby testify that I heard the Messenger of Allah salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam saying:" No Imam, or ruler spends his night after cheating his citizens, except that Allah Prevents him completely from Jannah" (reported by Tabarani as sound) Abu Maryam Al-Azdi (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said to Mu'awiyah (bin Abu Sufyan) (May Allah be pleased with them): I heard Messenger of Allah salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam (ﷺ) saying, "If Allah invests to someone the affairs of the Muslims and he (i.e., the ruler) ignores their rights, denies their access to him and neglects their needs, Allah will not answer his prayer or realize his hopes and will act towards him with indifference on the Day of Resurrection." This camel is complaining to me that you starve it and put it to toil." [Abu Dawud].
