The Hindus latest claim. |

Bismillah:
Recently our Hindus friends have come up with new idea to convince Muslims that their God (whom they call Lord Ram) is the same as Allah (which is God’s name in Arabic). They said that there must be a huge relationship between their ‘god’ Ram and Allah the God of Muslims and that’s why we see one of the oldest City in Palestine called Ramallah which is a combination between both names (i.e Lord Ram and Allah), Indicating that both names refer to the same God.
So it’s our duty as Muslims to clarify this ‘weird’ misconception to our Non Muslim friends.
The name Ramallah has its origins in two words, Ram or Rama is an Aramaic word meaning 'a high place' and Allah is the Arabic name of God, making Ramallah God's hill.
So there is no relationship whatsoever between "Ram" the God of Hindu and the Arabic name of God Allah.
More information about the City of Ramallah.
Salam
Wael.

I’m presuming that since it’s not quite difficult enough already to be a woman in the (insecure) male dominated and controlled society of Iran, it only makes sense to add another layer of humiliating gender apartheid at women’s expense. Iran: More Restriction Imposed on Women
Quote:Tehran, 16 Nov. (AKI) - The hardline administration of president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday introduced new restrictions on women. In Iran's National Security Council, women must now work in separate rooms from men, and may not attend meetings with their male colleagues. Segregation in the school system has been extended to teachers as well as pupils: at all levels, girls' schools may only be staffed by female teachers, who may not teach at boys' schools and institutes.
In universities, where male and female students have for some time sat in separate areas, CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor contact between the two sexes. The first woman-only hospitals are due to open soon, the health ministry has announced. (Rah/Aki)
The Taliban are role models. Who knew?

Netherlands Moves to Ban The Burqa |

The Dutch government in my opinion is embracing a sensible doctrine of removing one of the many barriers that Moslems erect between themselves and integration into their host societies. It seems that Moslems desire the benefits of modern, liberal Western democracies but despise the very institutions and cultural norms that provide them the opportunities that simply don’t exist in their nations of heritage or origin. Associated Press writer Mike Corder calls it a general European hardening toward Muslim minorities
.
Quote:THE HAGUE, Netherlands - The Dutch government announced plans Friday for legislation banning full-length veils in public places and other clothing that covers the face — putting the Netherlands at the forefront of a general European hardening toward Muslim minorities.
The Netherlands, once considered one of Europe's most welcoming nations for immigrants and asylum seekers, is deeply divided over moves by the government to stem the tide of new arrivals and compel immigrants to assimilate into Dutch society.
"The Cabinet finds it undesirable that face-covering clothing — including the burqa — is worn in public places for reasons of public order, security and protection of citizens," Immigration Minister Rita Verdonk said.
Basing the order on security concerns apparently was intended to respond to warnings that outlawing clothing like the all-enveloping burqa, worn by some Muslim women, could violate the constitutional guarantee against religious discrimination.
The very fact that this issue is open for discussion is a demonstration of the benefits of liberal democracy. The West needs to come to grips with two things: we need to protect and defend the very values and standards that have allowed us to innovate absolutely stunning achievements in the arts, sciences, technology and social arena and protect those values (after deciding that they are worthy ones) or bend and scrape to the arrogant and bellicose demands of those who darken our shores with policies that promote hate and gender apartheid while prohibiting innovation and progress. It can't be both.

I dont wear the hijab! am i bad? |

Aslama alaikum,
It was nice of one of the members to post a topic and ask the most important question which was, why some women dont wear the hijab, and why?
I have a cousin, who reads her namaaz, five times a day, or when she can with out fail wherever she is, she has never been in a relationship and nor has she done any wrong, but she does not wear the hijab, she chooses not to wear it, however when i asked her the question, of why she doesnt wear it, she replied, i feel i am still not ready to wear it, as it comes with alot of repsonsibilities. She has a great social life too. and goes out, with freinds etc.
I know majority of girls who do wear the hijab, and do so much wrong stuff its unbelievable and shocking, (drinking, clubbing, smoking weed, boyfriends) just because a girl wears a hijab does not necassirily mean that she is a good person, and so innocent. You should only judge them if you get to know them and see what they are like.
I myself, do not wear the hijab, i choose not to, does that make me all of a sudden, a bad muslim? I dress decently, and never show my body parts, i dont smoke, drink or do drugs. I read my namaaz when i can without fail. Ive never had a boyfriend,or been in a relationship, as i am against it. But when ppl who dont know me, see me they are so quick to judge me, and then when they do meet me, they say omg, i expected u to have a bf etc...... why?
I know a couple of girls, who did have bf's who decided to wear the hijab, etc, and after about 6 mnths they took it off. because they knew after that they wernt ready to wear it, because of all the responsibilities they had with it.
It matters on the type of person u are, and how u carry urself, hwo u talk to people and what u say to them ,
Inshallah i will start to wear the hijab, but when im ready not because i feel i have to. Im not doing n e wrong, i havent committed any sins.....................

ANGER |

I have a terrible temprement.
I thank allah for giving me the ability to control it and now days after reading alot about Anger, I seem to have given up the frustration, anger over uncecessary things/.
I realised that the day to day frsutrations I was suffering with , were all self inflicted by loosing me temper so often n over trivial things.
Keeping quiet. The Messenger (SAW) said:
“If any one of you gets angry, let him keep quiet.” (Reported by Imaam Ahmad, al-Musnad, 1/239; Saheeh al-Jaami’, 693, 4027).
“Do not get angry, and Paradise will be yours.” (A saheeh hadeeth. Saheeh al-Jaami’, 7374. Ibn Hajar attributed it to al-Tabaraani. See al-Fath, 4/465).
“Whoever suppresses his anger at the time when he could express it openly, Allah will fill his heart with contentment on the Day of Resurrection.” (Reported by al-Tabaraani, 12/453; Saheeh al-Jaami’, 176).
Another immense reward is described in the Hadith: “Whoever suppresses his anger when he is able to vent it, Allah will call him before all the people on the Day of Resurrection and let him choose whoever of the hoor al-‘iyn he wishes.” (Reported by Abu Dawood, 4777, and others. Classed as hasan in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 6518).

Bismillah:
this is really very interesting documentary film.
Quote:A special note from Filmmaker Alex Jones:
"This is the best film I've ever made. Its contents are very important to the future of this country and the world. Martial Law is 2 hours and 35 minutes in duration but is really 3 different films. The information contained in this film is so important that I am releasing it immediately in VHS format with a forthcoming DVD version of the film available in one month. I felt that if we delayed the introduction of Martial Law to release the two together, The Globalists could carry out an attack dwarfing 9/11 at any time and Martial Law 9/11: The Rise of the Police State might never be seen by the people who need this information the most."
i wonder if you guys have seen this film already, anyway here are the links.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Salam
Wael.
