SOURCE
Quote:Our White House Press Corps sources report further disturbing news about President Bush.
Our sources have witnessed a clearly inebriated Bush approaching members of the press corps and making rude comments, including one particularly crude remark about First Lady Laura Bush.
In that case, Bush, nodding toward Laura, called her a "c**t."
While Bush's drinking is no secret to the White House press contingent, that particular comment was reportedly the worst they have heard uttered by Bush.
Our sources also report that Laura Bush's stays at the White House are less frequent and that her overnight trips to the Mayflower Hotel often coincide with the president's drunken binges.
Note: Some of our female readers were shocked to see the "C" word in the above news item.
This editor wants to make it clear that word was used by George W. Bush to denigrate his wife.
It was his word, not mine.
It is important that the public knows what kind of person Mr. Bush is by the offensive words he uses.
The editor also wants to make clear that the President chose a public press gaggle to use this word -- that is not a private moment between him and his wife.
If Mrs. Bush feels her privacy has been violated, she must understand that it is her responsibility to herself, her children, and the nation to end this abusive relationship by legally separating from the President and becoming a role model for other women around the country and the world who find themselves locked into similar abusive marriages.
Nevertheless, we have "asterisked" the word in question.
However, Mr. Bush cannot asterisk his own vile words.
Bush gets real ugly with Laura.

The Khawaarij
THE STATEMENT OF IMAAM AL-ALBAANEE:
Shaykh, al-’Allaamah, al-Muhaddith, Muhammad Naasirud-Deen al-Albaanee – rahimahullaahu ta’aalaa – was asked upon the seventeenth of Dhul-Hijjah 1418H in the cassette entitled, ‘Khaarijiyyatul-’Asriyyah’ about the book al-Irjaa‘, ‘O Shaykh of ours! What is your opinion concerning the book Dhaahiratul-Irjaa‘ fee Fikril-Islaamee of Safar al-Hawaalee?’ So the Shaykh stated his opinion, then it was said to him, ‘What about the comments found, especially in the second volume?’
So the Shaykh said, “I gave my viewpoint on a matter about thirty or so years ago when I used to be in the University (i.e. the Islaamic University of al-Madeenah) and I was asked in a gathering about my opinion concerning Jamaa’atut-Tableegh. So I said on that day, ‘They are the Soofiyyah of this era.’ And now it has occurred to me that I should say about this Jamaa’ah which has emerged in the present times and which have opposed the Salaf. I say here, in accordance with the statement of al-Haafidh adh-Dhahabee: They have opposed the Salaf in much of the issues of manhaj (methodology), and it is befitting that I label them the Khawaarij of the era. And this resembles their emergence at the current time – in which we read their statements – because they, in reality, their words take the direction and objective of that of the Khawaarij in performing takfeer of the one who commits major sins. And perhaps I should say, this is either due to ignorance on their behalf or due to devised plot! And I say this in light of the statement of Allaah,
“Let not the hatred of a people make you depart from justice. Be just and fair and that is closer to taqwaa.” [sooratul-Maa'idah 5:8]
I do not know whether they say that every major sin takes one outside the fold of Islaam! However, they always revolve around certain major sins but remain silent or just pass by other major sins! And for this reason I do not see that we should make this label absolute, and that we should say, ‘They are Khawaarij,’ except from certain aspects. And this is the justice that we have been ordered to abide by…”
COMMENTARY:
It is befitting for the reader and the listener to the statement of Shaykh to note that this group opposes the Salaf through many of their methodologies. So these many methodologies that oppose the Salaf are proof of a deviation. Indeed, it is more dangerous and more severe than the Khawaarij, whom the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam) described as the worst of creation, and as the dogs of the Hellfire, and that they will pass through the Religion faster than an arrow passing through a bow, and that they fight the people of Islaam and seek help from the people of idolatry. So what Shaykh al-Albaanee – rahimahullaah – has said is the truth. So indeed, they have opposed the Salaf in many important foundations, from them:
[1]: They wage war against Ahlus-Sunnah and they drive the people away from them and their books and their cassettes. And they have hatred, enmity, resentment and severity against them.
[2]: And from this opposition is their alliance with many of the people of innovation and their acceptance of their corrupted methodologies, and their books which are written with misguidance, yet they still spread them and defend them. And they drive the youth to drink from that which has the most evil effects upon the Ummah and its youth; from takfeer, destruction, continued wars, spilling blood and abuse of the limbs.
[3]: And from this opposition is that they use their desires to hurl themselves into the abyss of extreme irjaa‘ which takes one from mere negligence to larger innovations, then to that which reaches disbelieving innovations which lack any sense of Salafiyyah, nor any sense of honour for the Religion of Allaah and those who carried it from the noble Companions and those who followed them in goodness. Rather, it takes them to the level of cursing some of the Prophets.
[4]: And from this opposition is that their desires push them into setting up corrupted methodologies to defend innovation and its people, such as the manhajul-muwaazinaat (methodology of counterbalancing between good and bad points in criticism) between the good and evil qualities, and whatever supports it from the corrupted principles which lead them to contradict what is confirmed in the Book of Allaah and in the Sunnah of His Messenger (sallallaahu ’alayhi wa sallam). So by this they begin to demolish the Sunnah and its sciences, not to mention the science of al-Jarh wat-Ta’deel (appraisal and disparagement of individuals and groups) with which the libraries are filled with regards to other evils and points of misguidance.
We ask Allaah that He rescues the youth from the evils of this group and from attachment to it in this life, or in the Hereafter. And in conclusion, it is befitting that we describe these people as the extremist Murji‘ah of the era before we describe them as the Khawaarij of the era.

I heard that Mass has been offered inside the Dome of the Rock! During the Crusades, the Crusaders converted the Dome of the Rock into a Church and was entrusted to Augustinian priests. I haven't been able to find out how long it functioned as a Church. Does anyone know?

Indeed, all praise is for Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'ala. We praise Him, we seek His help, we seek His forgiveness, and we seek refuge in Allaah from the evils of our souls and our evil actions. Whosoever Allaah guides then none can misguide and whosoever Allaah misguides then none can guide aright. I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, having no partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam is His servant and Messenger.
My dear brothers & sisters in Islam, no doubt, it will not have escaped your attention that there are some muslims who want to keep this Muslim nation focused on poletics and whats in the news etc. A conference some time go was convened by a group of misguided brothers to discuss, once again, the current political climate in the Middle East, Israel, and the Muslim world as a whole. Declarations were set to be made regarding the leaders of our nations, and the causes of our downfall. Yet although the event was cancelled at the last minute, the misguided understanding and false notions that groups such as these maintain, hold many dangers for our communities. It is especially dangerous for the young and enthusiastic ones from amongst us, who, although sincere are open to be deceived by the people of empty speech, empty slogans, and little understanding of the Qur aan and Sunnah. Thus, while most of us have heard their rantings about our current political situation, let us consider this small excerpt from Shaykh, 'Alee Hasan al-Halabee concerning this subject:
" And it is obligatory to know an unchanging Sharee'ah principle which will produce a certainty that will open up our intellects and awaken us to the true realities of the state of our affairs, and it is this that whatever calamities have befallen us, or that now befall us, or will befall us, then it is because of what our own hands have earned: and because of our falling short with regards to fulfilling the obligations of our Deen. As Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'ala says in the Qur aan:
"Whatever calamity and misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your own hands have earned" (Soorah ash-Shooraa 42:30) and
"Whatever evil befalls you, it is from your own self" (Soorah an-Nisaa 4:79)
Unfortunately, some of the du'aat (callers) have become accustomed to blaming the enemies for any and every misfortune and subjection which the Muslims face. Yet this not only contradicts the Divine manhaj and clear Prophetic guidance, but it also contains grave and evil consequences and results in a number of negative attitudes, and from them:
(i) It contradicts the Book and the Sunnah in its analysis of the present state of affairs, since Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'ala placed the blame of the defeat at the battles of Uhud and Hunayn upon the Muslims themselves, even though it was the kaafirs (disbelievers) who did what they did: "Indeed Allaah did fulfil His Promise to you, when you were killing your enemies by His permission; until you lost your courage, disagreed over what was commanded, and disobeyed" (Soorah al-'Imraan 3:152), and "On the day of Hunayn, when you rejoiced at your great numbers, it availed you nothing" (Soorah at-Tawbah 9:25).
(ii) It contains an over-estimation of the power of the kaafirs in the soul of the Muslims - which only further increases the Muslims in their weakness.
(iii) It contains a declaration of the purity of ones own soul, since it implies that we have fulfilled the conditions for victory to be granted to us, and deserve to be given establishment upon the earth - even though the kaafirs still have the upper hand over us. With such a negative attitude we will neglect to cultivate our souls and neglect to take account of our own selves, just as it will lead to another grave and serious attitude, which is:
(iv) A suspicion that Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'ala has not kept His Promise to grant victory to the Muslims, and that the kaafirs have managed to overcome the order of Allaah. And concerning this, Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'ala tells us: "The promise of Allaah is true. And who is more truthful in speech than Allaah" (Soorah an-Nisaa 4:122).
(v) This matter sprouts from weakness of Yaqeen (certainty of faith) in Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala and a weakness of ones tawakkul (reliance) upon Him. And the fact that the blame for what has befallen the Muslims lies upon themselves does not mean that we free the kaafir from any blame in what they do to the Muslims, since this is one thing and that is another. This is proved by the fact that when we were informed by Allaah subhaanahu wa ta'aala about the causes for the defeat at Uhud, this did not imply that Allaah freed them from any blame for what they did to the Muslims.
So the true understanding of siyaasah (politics, as defined by the Sharee'ah) is to recognise your own condition, and that you look after the affairs of the Ummah: and that you truly understand your state of affairs - calling the people and those near to you. Anything other than this is lies, nonsense, hollow speech and the following of desires, since it is in contradiction to the Guidance laid down by the Lord of the Heavens, and a deviation from the Manhaj of the Prophets, and far removed from the path taken by the callers who are upon the ways of guidance. However, as regards to those who gasp and pant after hollow politics and scurry behind the current affairs - which are both empty and repetitive - then it is precisely this which is plotted for us by the enemies of this Ummah so that they can divert the Muslim youth away from their true position, and turn them away from their principle obligation, and distance them away from their primary goal, which is the worship of Allaah, subhaanahu wa ta'aala.
