Let us revive deserted worships

as salam alykom I would like to dedicate this thread to revive deserted worships one after the other, search relevant Ayahs and hadeeth, i think it will be quite an interesting exercise. What do u think. Insh aAllah I will start by the worship on pondering on Allah's creation. yes it is a worship. Anybody cares to search for the Ayahs??? Waiting:learn:

Let us first get the definition if worship ('ibadah) i think this is from imam ash shaafii... (someone please correct me ok) 'IBADAH (worship) is: anything and everything that we say or do hiddenly or openly that allah loves and is pleased with... is this it????? correct me if i am wrong:p ![[Image: wink.gif]](http://www.islamsms.com/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif) :learn:
Ibada is also when u stop yourself from violating Allah's limits.
Ibada is also to act and feel that you are a servant of Allah only. Ibada is also to try to have your heart and senses make sujud just as u forced your organs to go down the floor only to Allah. Ibada is also to feel deep in your heart how minor you are as whole to Allah, how inferior to Allah. Well I can still go on. But that is my very humble feeling about it. Shall we get back to the topic. come on naseeha dont try to run away, you know what, now you will have to get the answer for this?? Get it mannnnn waiting

I cant think of any quraanic reference... i can think of aayahs at the top of my head like: "remember allah's favours upon you" but i cant remember the reference sorry

I know this only from memory, I am sorry I don't know the Surah. as salam alykom correct Jennifer, Sobhan Allah, imagine pondering and thinking about Allah's Creation is an Ibada. Let us revive this Ibada. for example, allocate a time, start with 10 minutes a day, may be before Maghreb. Believe me, when I do this it gives me much relief, stand and look thru a windo or something to the skies. Just watch the birds coming back home from the opposite direction they started in the morning, watch the change of colours and u would automatically say Sobhan Allah ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok to the next desreted worship: <b>I`atekaf: Taking seclusion for a specific period of time, like when people do in Ramadan.</b> any Ayahs or hadeeth, come on go ahead put it here, Jennifer, bring Todd around.
