In defense of islam
#1

I have been noticing recently that after all the attacks that we have had on islam... on muslims... and on the integrity of our deen.... our way of life.... that many muslims have chosen an attitude where they seek to defend islam in a reactive way...

Take for example <i>"the modernists"</i> when someone gives a negative review of islam... their first line of defense is to try to justify it in the eyes of the kuffar.... while this is all well and good... often we fall into a trap of compromising some essential sunnah... while rationalising it with some other sunnah....

Take for example the instance last year when the grand sheikh of the al azhar university said that french muslimahs were allowed to take the hijab off because their situation constituted necessity....

Basically in my humble opinion (and i may be wrong) we must not approach these attacks reactively.. we must not try to justify it in their eyes... just tell them the position that islam holds.. and if they accept it then alhamdulillah... if they don't then allahu-'alam....

My major problem with this reactive attitude is that alot of compromises are made... and in defense of the pure sunnah... we cannot allow this... NO WAY!!!!

My brothers and sisters... the bottom line is this... we all know that allah revealed the quraan... It was never written... history will show that...

We all know that it is the flawless book... and a guide to all mankind...

Moreover we know that islam is DEEN UL HAQQ... THE TRUE WAY OF LIFE.....

If some kaafir decides to come up and say "Oh look at the muslims... they have more than one wives!!!" or "Oh Look at the muslims they spread islam by the sword" then give them the facts according to quraan and sunnah.... and in some cases ... history... and if they cant swallow that.. then leave them alone.....

Dont be apologetic of islam....

Dont react defensively to everything with compromise....

defend islam with the truth....

use the quraan AS IT AUGHT TO BE USED!!!!!

and the sunnah....

Look into the life of our beloved prophet... and see how he dealt with this situation... and act upon it...

My beloved muslim bros and sis... i say this to you to avoid any innovations coming into our deen by way of the kuffar... i see this alot in my country.... and here on the internet... guard yourselves against it....

whoever from among you sees a wrong being done....

change it with his hand... and if that cannot be done....

then change it with his tongue.. and if that cannot be done...

then with his heart....

ameen....

wasalaam...

one more point I might add here, that on the local level I mean here on the board sometimes when questions are raised sometimes not always we tend to defend without tackling the main point. As u said we have nothing to be ashamed of and islam is well put and coherent Alhamdulelah.

Exactly Muslimah...

wit is it that we have to be ashamed of... We try to explain ourselves to the kaafir in such a way that we compromise the pure sunnah... and in defense of this we need to be more PROACTIVE as opposed to REACTIVE....
