"Local,"

As a fellow American (I'm assuming you're an American by your image of a bald eagle, our national bird that we almost hunted into extinction) could you please stop embarassing us in front of the others? I'm no huge fan of Islam or most middle-eastern domestic policy, I'm really not. But I at least have respect enough not to equate Islam with a dictator like Saddam (who wasn't even really muslim seeing as he drank and smoked and murdered millions of people.)

Oh, and the word you were looking for wasn't "hypocracy" it was "irony." Hypocracy would be if Iraq had a freedom of information act and suppressed it, thus making a statement decrying our FOIA hypocritical. A country that doesn't have a FOIA decrying any FOIA is ironic. Again, not hypocracy, but irony. You're welcome.

There are pleanty more non-muslims who know that Saddam wasn't a representation of Islam, but they usually just keep to themselves. It's the giant racist morons that always run their mouths about things they know nothing about.

What if we said Al Godlstien (porn director) was a representative of Judaism? Or if Tim McVeigh was a representative of Christianity? These examples are just as proposturous as equating Saddam, Bin-Laden, or any other nutbag with Islam. I equate my Somali friends with Islam. The crossing guard on Spring street, my former boss at a pizzaria, and my ex-girlfriend are the people I equate with Islam. Not some international terrorist. They far outnumber him, and I can guarantee are far greater followers of Islam than he will ever be.

<b> to every one on this respected thread i dedicate this article from MSNBC newsweek, it was written after the capture of Saddam H. read how they described him ... - representing islam and muslims-
and you'll see that LOCAL's attidute is common even amongst the highly educated writers of america</b>

<b>'We got him'</b>

By Evan Thomas and Rod Nordland

Newsweek

Dec. 22 Issue - <b>In a part of the world where pride and dignity mean everything, the images were clearly intended to shame</b>. A nameless doctor or medical technician, wearing rubber gloves, was seen closely examining the man's hair, perhaps looking for ......(>>>>>>>> the article continues)

Sanchez, told reporters that Saddam had been found hiding in a mudhole. Gone were the fleets of Mercedeses, the battalions of secret police, the gold-encrusted palaces. Saddam did not put up a fight; he did not try to take his own life (though he had a pistol). He was "talkative" and "cooperative," resigned, cowering, meek and weak. <b>The Glorious Leader, Direct Descendant of the Prophet, the Lion of Babylon, the Father of the Two Lion Cubs, the Anointed One, the Successor of Nebuchadnezzar, the Modern Saladin of Islam had been brought low, forced to bow down</b>,

Many times it is easier for a person to just hate instead of truly investigating. It is a shame, too, that many times such hatred comes from people who think that they truly have an open mind.

Irish Representing! Peace in Ireland, you brought a smile to my face.

Assalamualaykum....

a short story for us to ponder....

"3 men were competing who is the most evil among them,

the first guy took an iron bar and hit a lady with it,

the poor lady bled and her bones were broken, she fainted instantly.

he turned into the two other men, and said:

"look, how evil i am!!"

the second guy came and raped that lady,

then he killed her without hesitation,

he turned and said:

"i am more evil than you two! i killed her!"

then the third guy smiled and said:

"actually, i'm the most evil person among us three,

i stood here just watching you guys beating, raping and killing that lady,

i did not try to help her although she's my sister!!"

the poor lady is Iraq,

the first guy is Saddam,

the second guy is the invaders,

and the third guy is us, THE MUSLIM UMMAH!!!!

Saddam genocide had begun long ago.... what have we done for the sake ofour Iraqis brothers and sisters? some of us even gave supports to Saddam and the invaders!!!

Wallahu'alam...
