Caution!! Brothers And Sisters!!
#11

Quote:Remember that she has the power to not only edit your posts, but to completely ban you from the forum as well (which really I will support her in doing so) but she didnt.  I have proudly known Sister (though she is more like my mother) Muslimah for a few years now and all what I saw demands great respect as she is the best Muslim I have ever known.

Assalamu alaikum,

And I have known akhi Abu Nuran for some time as well, and have found him to be one of the most sincere defenders of Islam anywhere on the net. Your respect for ukhti Muslimah is noted and appreciated, but I must agree with much of what akhi Abu has to say.

Quote:This is a religious board, administrated for several years by sister Muslimah. If you dont like it then get out!

You attempt to chase away a brother who is concerned about the Ummah and is not afraid to state his case, yet you allow kuffar such as john doe and local to post their slanders.

Quote:If you dont want to then just stick to the rules and go on. Maybe you should consider that probably your the one that has been giving false information.

Can you supply an example? Or is it now you who are leveling false charges?

Quote:I didnt read the posts that you claim to have been unfairly edited, and I wont bother,

Not a very sensible way to determine the truth of the matter.

Quote:I'll be watching you burn in hell little one.
Ignorance and arrogance go hand in hand.

it seems as though you are the one taking judgement into one's own hands now.

And as for the comment on writing in Arabic, I have never heard such a strange thing as an objection to presenting material in Arabic, as long as the English appears as well. Should we not all be at least minimally able to read the language in which our Holy Book is written? Should we not spend some time every day improving our understanding of Arabic?

I have been a moderator on another Islamic webboard for several years, and I have had the great good fortune Alhamdulillah of meeting several brothers with the fire of conviction as akhi Abu. On the other hand, I will not tolerate such as "john doe" spreading insults to Islam on the board. I think the priorities here are backwards.

Sobhan Allah for this comment, I was going to reply but then I said, I will still not turn this board into self probabating area or even provide explanations, for only Allah Is our witness.

It is a pleasure to have a mod on another Islamic board among us as a member and I really pray Insh a Allah we benefit a lot from each other..

I will not blame u for making a judgement or accusation. In this reply I am not trying to report to u since we only report to Allah.

But it is just an exchange of ideas among a brother and sister.

U said we tolerate someone like JohnDoe, may be u might just think to yourself, who is JohnDoe or any other similar character. One of Allah’s Creation who does not believe in Allah. What is the position of Allah? Allah Still provides for him, allow his to benefit of the sky, the water, allow him even a space on earth. We are calling for Al Sabour (the All Patient). Do u expect that a non Muslim would come to u and tell u O fine I believe. Don’t u understand that they are threatened by the idea of being wrong all their lives no matter how long it was. They feel that suddenly someone is introducing strong evidence to them that they are wrong. The stronger the evidence is, the harder their reaction is. How do u expect to know how he / she thinks if they don’t get it out and u reply to them?? How will u produce arguments to meet their needs if they don’t express it? Do u expect a non-believer to show respect to Allah? Of course not, but our role is to easily produce explanation, use the best words possible. When did u see the Messenger (salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) slam even the Mushrekeen when he was calling them to Allah? Never. He always took the time and effort to explain no matter what they said. If Allah SWT Is Al Wase`a (The All Accomodator) Who Accomodates them in His kingdom, why cannt we accommodate non believers leave alone the Muslim who needs to push forward, but there a manner to do so. I m not trying to explain our situation to u. I don’t have to. But we are brothers and sisters in Islam and I am sharing

A brother who is concerned about the Ummah wont start trouble with his sister in public. A person who is concerned about the Ummah wont insult his sister in public. Let me ask a question. Did Abu Noran try and speak to sister Muslimah or ask why is she editing his posts before he started this insulting topic?

Concerning non-Muslims posting, I believe it is more important to have our Muslim communities checked before we look into what our non-Muslims are talking. I think it is more important to perfect what a Muslim says in a discussion board rather than what a non-Muslim says. Yet I am not nor have I ever said that we allow a straight forward insult whether they to us or we to them.

If a Muslim's posts are being edited in an Islamic board then obviously he is breaking some rules.

Comparing such a person with John Doe is uncalled for. First of all, John Doe is not a Muslim and he's a westerner. His ideologies and thoughts are compeletly alien to us and his understanding of Islam is as most of the time, not very accurate. People could ask and speak comments that could be insulting to us Muslims but if you dont answer them then those comments would keep on circulating around while all muslims shun them away. I have meet people who claimed that Allah is a moon god, I have meet people who claimed that our beloved prophet was a pedophile, I have meet people who claimed many absurd and insulting things about Islam that you can't even imagine. Do we look away, edit and delete their posts? Or do we answer everyone who speaks against us (however insulting) and put an end to such talks?

Our priorities are to correct the Muslims before correcting the Non-Muslims because once the Muslims are corrected the Non-Muslims will learn. The Kufars wont read the Quran, they look at our actions and judge from that.

Islam is from God and God is perfect. We have an answer to every question non-Muslims might ask, but here AGAIN I say, if they start with an all out insult and curses, then ofcourse these must be deleted. I never said anything else.

So in the end, yes. I am with the editing of a Muslim's post because we always need to correct ourselves and each other when requiered. But when a non-Muslim speaks, I believe editing should only be at a minimum.

Salaamun Muslimah

Do you ban people, who, argue that the hadiths of Bukhari et al, are not part of the Din of Allah?

Btw, why was my post put on page two, when it is a new post?

The post goes automatically to page 2 when page 1 becomes full, simply brother/sister.

What did u mean by your question?

One more point before this issue is settled and gone by. How did Muslim scholars, before the Internet, come to know the arguments against Islam coming from the Orientalists, or other groups. Did they seal their lips, or rather worked on it to produce the proper explanations through the various means of communication. Before the Internet, didnt we hear about those accusing our beloved Prophet (salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam), Isnt the Quran itself include whatever they have of crap against Islam which is actually a major mircale from Allah, because when they say it we can just answer back O u know what Allah Said that u would say that in Quran. I hope u can see the point brother. People like JohnDoe actually serve Islam without them noticing. He raises points, Alhamdulelah, members respond to him, others read and Alhamdulelah come to Islam.

Again I am just confirming we are not obliged at all to explain ourselves to u, only that u r a mod, we are trying to bring our views together Insh a Allah we are never divided.

jazakum Allah khairan
