yes true sister radiyah the forefathers of the phillipines were Muslims and the spanish converted them by force to the catholic faith. but of course they dont teach this part of history now also i heared that Manila the capital of the philippines was called AMANILLAH. means " the security of Allah"

yes Wel_mel I also heard the same when I visited the Philipenes during the 80s. I was also told that Muslims are terribly oppressed and living under sever conditions in an Island called Mindanau (sorry for misspelling). No one heard about what they suffered for years. But when Abu Sayaf came out to sort of claim rights, they called him terrorist.
