Four Things a Muslim cannot resist
#1

Assalmaulkum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathu

Somewhere back in the deepths of my brain, lies a memory of a Jumma prayer in the past when a speaker told the listeners at a local masjid about four things that a muslim can't resist. If u find these things [i:1f7604a0e0]easy[/i:1f7604a0e0] to resist, see ur local doctor  .

1.Watching the sky

2.Seeing the Ka'bah

3.Drinking water

4.Reading the Quran

1. WATCHING THE SKY- Brothers and Sisters, how many times have u gazed at the sky in wonder of its beauty? It seems as if Allah SWT makes the Earth and Heavens put on a show everyday. From your normal cumulo-nimbus cloud formations, to tornadoes. From a starry evening, to a meteor shower. It never ceases to amaze me. I myself go out everyday at night to watch the stars, and look for the ISS (International Space Station, if u look very closely at the sky at the right time, u can see it speeding across the sky; but remember it takes patience and a trained eye) 8)

2. SEEING THE KA'BAH- Ka'bah...it means cube.It is said that when you see it for the first time, you feel dazed and awe struck. I have seen many postcards, posters, and pictures of our most sacred masjid and i still can't talk my eyes off it for a moment. I have a question too for my dear brothers and sisters. How many times was the Ka'bah rebuilt since Ibrahim pbuh rebuilt it? And what were the dates that the Masjid Al-Haram and Ka'bah was rebuilt?

3. DRINKING WATER- Gatorade, Kool Aid, Powerade, whatever aid, they still can't match the purity and life giving elixer of water. Can u think of anything edible that is purer?

Water has a neutral pH, most of our body is water, and it has more then 1000 uses! We are told to drink between 6-8 glasses of this a day, so drink up brothers and sisters!

4.READING THE QURAN- Ah, yes. The Noble Quran, where would we be with out it? It guides our everyday life from the most simplist things to life changing events. It is there for a reason!! Just like Angel Gibraeel said "Recite!" to our Prophet pbuh. So much can be learned from this Great book. Science, philosopy, history, Allah SWT final message in its complete form!!

[b:1f7604a0e0]This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah;Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. (Surah Al-Baqarah 2-4)[/b:1f7604a0e0]

Thank you for taking the time to read this, may Allah SWT Guide you all.

Assalamu 'alaikum,

Surely those four things one could not resist. And I add to these four things the mosque of our Prophet in al Madinah al Munawarah "The City of the Prophet peace be upon him". I haven't seen neither Ka'ba nor Madinah yet, but believe me I have a great desire and dream to visit them. I watch the prayer from the Holy Mosques of Makkah and al Madinah live and I really could not resist it. Actually my dream is to live in Al Madinah in order to be so near to our beloved Prophet, may the blessings of Allah be upon him!May Allah enable every Muslim to go to Al harmayn: Makkah and al Madinah, Ameen!

Salamu 'alaikum brother Ahmed Syed,

I am sorry for being late in response but I didn't use the internet during the weekend. Concerning watching the prayer in Alhamramayn live from Makkah & al-Madinah, I watch it in TV, we have the digital sattelite and so I manage to watch it daily. If you have the digital Sattelite you can watch it either in Iqraa Channel, al Majd or Saudi tv. Glory be to Allah, the beauty of the Alhamramayn in Makkah and Madinah cannot be found elsewhere! Certainly being there is living in a spiritual peace and happiness!!

Salam
