Falling In Love With A None Muslim Girl.
#1

Aslame Alyukum Brothers and sisters.. [Image: unsure.gif]

I am a 19 Year old muslim, i have lived all my life as a muslim. i come from a religiouse family. I met this wonderfull girl 14 months ago i built a realionship with her and fell in love with her. we both also had problems with other members of the family in the past which my parents know about but have heard from other members in the family this makes it even harder to tell them because they already think bad things about her which are true, and i believe that we make mistakes and learn from them. i personaliy havent told my family about her . I think if i told them they would be upset and at the same time its hard for me to let the girl i love go and upset her. i dont want to upset anyone with my actions or hurt anyone. She is willing to convert for me but not yet ready beacuse she dosent know much about islam and still learning about it. [Image: sad.gif]

Assalamualaikum brother Ahmed...

i think you should try some istikharah first...

about her conversion, it would be great great if she does convert... but please make sure she convert because of Allah... or maybe if she convert because of you... you must be responsible to get her close to Allah.... if not, there's no point of converting....

Wallahu'alam.... from my humble and shallow knowledge... let's wait for what others have to say...

A woman 'converted' for me. I am now in the process of getting a divorce. It is a painful process, my brother. Be very, very careful. Islam has a system set up for a reason, to protect us. We should try to abide by it not only to please Allah but to keep ourselves safe. I agree that you should make Istikharah. Allah Helps those who seek His Guidance. But you must be open to what Allah Wills for you. Maybe He has someone better in store for you, maybe this girl. You must be willing to seek forgiveness and find the true path though. Insha'Allah, this has been helpful.

you can marry ahlul kitab/people of the book (Christianity and Judaism) but that's not recommended since it might affect your children... so take that into a high consideration......

there's nothing wrong with love in Islam.... Islam put love in the right place, where it should belong..... not anarchy-driven love....

I hope I am not too late to reply, brother Ahmed.

1. There is nothing worth going against Allah' Will which is manifested in going against your parent. When we are young we think that O letting go a person we love is the end of the world. we feel that our parents dont share many of our ideas.

But the end result is that the system as Dan said better be followed. On the long run, u will feel much better when u r in conformity with what Allah decreed.

2. About marrying Ahl Kitab I have a very special opinion, and it is mine, but I verified it with some source. Ahl kitab of today are not the ones mentioned in Quran.

3. About reverting to Islam, she must do that for Allah, not for u, the whole issue of marrying a Muslim slave as mentioned in Quran better than a Mushrikah, is for the woman to observe chastity and maintain humble attitude. Can u guarantee if she reverts for u, after the spark of love fades away that she will still maintain this, if it was not for Allah, nothing holds the person.

4. About love in Islam, love is highly regarded in Islam, but in the proper fashion, we should love our parents, children, brothers and sisters all in the name of Allah.

Simply if one doesnt, in case he/she looses the person/ thing the heart is really set on, one goes totally unstable, feeling the ground is not there. But Allah Is eternal, no matter what u loose He is still there. So always make the source of your love Allah, from there u love everything and everybody the way Allah regualated.

assalamualaykum....

so who did the Qur'an mention as Ahl Kitab? i think during the prophet Muhammad(pbuh) time, the Ahl Kitab (Bani Nadhir, Najjar and Qainuqa') tried to kill the prophet, yet they are regarded as Ahl Kitab...

but truly, we should take the best option, why don't we marry our muslimah? that would be much better, Insha Allah..... i hope you had considered briefly Anybody.... one more thing, have you tried istikharah?
