Alsalam 'alaykom,

Yes sister, Alhamdulilah I really was hesitant in baning him, but good u did it, he deserved it, he really used a very bad word describing Allah, hasbiya Allah wa ni'ma Al-Wakeel.

Alhamdulilah that what brothers and sisters providing is informative, it is by aid of Allah alone, Alhamdulilah that he guided us to this, and if it wasn't for his guidance , we would not be guided to the truth. Alhamdulialh.

And Jazaky Allah for the thread, first time I read it [Image: rolleyes.gif] , Masha'Allah very beneficient.

Wasalam 'alaykom wa rahmat Allah wa barakatuh.

Alhamdulelah, I just hope that we Muslims really ponder on the sunnah more and more, and that we simply try hard to follow it, Sobhan Allah, we are calling for Allah As Sabour and we dont have Sabr, we are calling for Allah Al A`fo and we dont pardon, we are calling for Allah Al Ghafour (Oft Forgiving) and we dont forgive, we are calling for Allah Mudhel (One Who Can humiliate) so we must not be arrogant at all. Rather than posting on the Names and Attributes without thinking, we must know Who we are calling for. It is very easy to loose temper, use harsh rather than kind words, resort to stiff manner, it is very easy. BUt what is difficult is to always remember how our Messenger dealt with many situations

May Allah grant us all the benefit of good mannerism nothing better that it.

As for John and the like, I fully understand how threatened they are, and that Allah Is allowing them a place in His universe, He is Pateint with them, other wise He can simply clamp the sky down on him immediately just for saying so. But we must respect our Lord. May be when he is back he will read this, Titanic on its first trip, the Captain said even God can not sink it. Well He sank it on the first trip.

Just a comment

And did people take a lesson of such an incident, no they are still infidel. Sobhan Allah

for sister peace bird, first off most welcome to the board, Mash a Allah u seem like an active member, Insh aAllah u will continue being so.

as for the remark u made, yes it is in Quran, I think if u need to use it just quote the Ayah with its number. We can not simply ignore what is in Quran. Just quote the Ayah so that the one u r addressing will not get mixed up thinking u r calling names wal iyadhu billah

I had a similar-albeit fruitful-discussion about this with my future "partner." Some time ago, she asked me my opinion on the anthropological view of death. I responded: There are voluminous views on death anthropologically, philosophically, neurologically, etc.each thus having their own robust arguments. It essentially comes down to faith.

I'll repeat what I said to her that night. There are no convincing arguments for or against the Islamic view of death whether it be from a social—philosophic—psychological discipline; we'll all have to wait until the big sleep to unearth the answer, won't we?

Ibn I think as usual just because of your writing style which is much affected by your intellectual context that members may take your stand wrongly, I can simply translate what u r saying here, and I guess u were talking to a non Muslim trying to give her an answer but not thru Islamic sources. It is true that we all have to wait until the big sleep to see our destination which is even know to the one who is suffering stupor of death. I think u meant that we will all face the truth which some may deny? did I translate your wording correctly, being a translator....... [Image: biggrin.gif]

Assalamualaykum...

There are more than a thousand verses in the Glorious Qur’an, containing scientific facts (refer Dr Zakir Naik's book "Qur’an and Modern Science-Compatible or Incompatible?").

Many facts mentioned in the Qur’an have been discovered in the last few centuries. But science has not advanced to a level where it can confirm every statement of the Qur’an.

Suppose 80% of all that is mentioned in the Qur’an has been proved 100% correct. About the remaining 20%, science makes no categorical statement, since it has not advanced to a level, where it can either prove or disprove these statements. With the limited knowledge that we have, we cannot say for sure whether even a single percentage or a single verse of the Qur’an from this 20% portion is wrong. Thus when 80% of the Qur’an is 100% correct and the remaining 20% is not disproved, logic says that even the 20% portion is correct. The existence of the hereafter after the "Big Sleep', which is mentioned in the Qur’an, falls in the 20% ambiguous portion which my logic says is correct.
