I would like to make your attention brother anybody that Hazam is not a muslim, he is attacking Islam and Muslims, and that is why he is trying to show how Muslims are racist. And if u read sister Muslimah's post u will know that he was banned. And no1 has knowledge more than any1. So anything u know just write it down and have trust in yourself [Image: smile.gif] brother, after puting your trust in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and asking his aid, and Only Allah is the All knowing [Image: smile.gif]. Wa Jazzak Allah khayr for your post [Image: smile.gif]

As far as races go in science, they do not even really exist. It is impossible to clearly delineate where one race ends and another begins. It is due to this problem of categorization that anthropologists no longer really recognize race in the classic sense. At least, this is what I was taught in college anthropology.

U r right brother, eventually we are all brothers and sisters in race, and our race ends up to our father Adam, and our mother Eve, (PBUT).

Correctamundo Danny Boy. Anthropologists tried to classify people into races. They usually ended up with four or five, each having their own specific traits and what not. They were usually Caucasian(White), Negroid(Black), Amerind(American Indians/Latinos), and Malay(Asians). But all that logic crap got in the way and serious scientists gave it up. As far as racism goes in relation to the Arab (muslim) and Jew (secular and religious) conflict, people on both sides hold too steadfastly to the idea that a persons race determins his enemy status. Since Jews mainly breed with Jews and Muslims with Muslims, it is an obvious outcome that ideological lines run in tandem with racial lines. A more progressive means of debate would not be to attack the other side on racial grounds with ideology as a secondary point, but to realize that humans are the products of their envirenment and thus, a debate on purely idealistic grounds would be far more desireable. Not convinced a Jew could be persuaded to agree with the Muslim argument (or vise versa)? Take a look at American race relations. In a country where the only free people used to be Whites, there are now countless Whites who agree and support the positions of the old "enemy." Many Whites now admire W.E.B. DuBois, Malcom X, Dr. Martin Luther King, Cesar Chaves, and so forth.

It also helps to look at yourself from an outsider's prospective. An Irish Catholic living in Boston probably doesn't see the slightest difference between the Jews in the middle east and the Muslims (except for those delicious latkas the Jews have. Simply... delicious.) Imagine if both Jews and Muslims approached the issue from an Irish-Catholic standpoint. They would see no inherant racial difference and thus, would be able to negotiate amongst each other as simply humans, not Jews and Muslims.

Anywho, think about it. Another good book to check out regarding the fluidity and utter rediculousness of race is "White By Law" by Ian F. Haney-Lopez. Shaba-daba-doo, I'm out.

Well peacee boy

The problem with non Muslims who come to this board or any other board is that they see Muslims being racist when they abide by Quran and Sunnah. As such this will simply take us to the point of we believe u dont. We have no problem with u not believing it is u who have a problem with us believeing. In Islam, Allah Say in Quran :"O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa [i.e. one of the Muttaqun (pious). Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware." (Quran 49:13)

Got that, hope u did because also I am out of here [Image: biggrin.gif]

Agreed. Arabs are only 18% of the total muslim population.

There are jews in Isreal who hate what is being done to the muslims. There are even Arab jews but they are treated like second class citizens by the white jews. It makes you realize that what PII said is true in actuality. It is not a race war but rather a war of ideologies. It is portrated in the contect of race because it is easier to present the conflict in such a fashion. When you examine the other factors like the ones I just stated, the issue becomes too complex, or so the media thinks. The dumbing down of Americans does not come from themselves but rather how the powers that be view Americans. When protesting the Vietnam war, most think that the college educated were in the majority of opposing the war. In actuality, it was the less educated and poorer people who protested it the most. Makes one reflect on the education system.

Peace.

Howdy.

Yes, I'm very aware that not all Muslims are Arab, but the word seems to be used somewhat interchangebly on this board so I thought I'd just stick with the common terminology used here. Anyway, yeah, muslims come in all flavors.

As far as what Muslimah said, about what I view as racist, she views as simply following the Qu'ran, both are true. One can follow a pure ideology and still be racist. For instance, if I see a suspicious person wandering around my neighborhood, the Neighborhood Watch compells me to call the police. However, since Blacks are often singled out as being "suspicious" and this make up the vast number of suspicious persons claims, I am partaking in a racist action by simply following the law. For a more extreme case of following the rules and being racist at the same time, see Eichmann.

THis is not to say that Islam teaches racial hate or hostility. "Racism" simply means having a non-critical racial element. Much as "Capitalism" means having Capitalist elements; Capitalism does not mean a hatred of Capitalists. Hope that clears things up a tad. Another good read: "Critical White Studies" by Richard Delgado and Jean Stefancic.
