“fahrenheit 9/11” The Hidden Message
#11

Assalamu alaikum,

I saw the film, and with all due respect I don't think anyone will really be incited to want a war against KSA. The vast amount of negative information on Bush really overwhelms everything else.

As for Kerry, yes, he's a pig too.

Salaam Alaikum!

Has anyone seen the movie? And if so, can the individual give an outline of what it is about? I heard it was great, though I want to hear from Muslims on the film. [Image: smile.gif]

Michael Moore never states or even hints that attacking Saudia Arabia would please him. Moore, after all, is a pacifist. I'm not particularly fond of Saudi Arabia and the way it treats its women (or those lovely public beheadings), but I'm also not in favor of attacking it. No one can deny that Saddam was a nut job and an evil guy, even I believe that. But I was still against the war.

Basically, Fahrenheit 9/11 shows the Saudi government (not to be confused with the people of Saudi Arabia who are guilty of nothing) in its true light. However, I bet if you were to ask Michael Moore whether he favored military intervention on Saudi Arabia, he's laugh for a while, then say no.

Assalamu alaikum,

The movie covers numerous issues:

-Bush's fraudulent "victory" in 2000

-his incompetence during his first six months in office

-his, and his cohorts', use of 9/11 for their own financial and political gain

-his extensive connections with Saudi Arabia and the bin Laden family

-his father's double dealing

-the complete failure of "homeland security"

-Bush's use of 9/11 to invade Iraq

-graphic depiction of the murder and destruction caused by the US army in Iraq

-the army's use of the poorest citizens to wage war and its results

This is a partial list, but I think you can understand the gist of the film from this.

i saw the movie and what bothers me is how it makes feel skeptic about saudies ( if i were an american that is [Image: huh.gif] )

in the outside it's blaming bush's govt. but in theinside the hidden message is go take out the saudies take your revenge from them .... in other words it incourages the war on islam and muslim countries labeling them as terrorists. [Image: ph34r.gif]

[Image: ohmy.gif][Image: unsure.gif] really.......& i thought that it was totally against USA & Bush politics.......but yeah i forgot that it was made afterall by an American [Image: laugh.gif]

Assalamu alaikum,

I'm an American revert Alhamdulillah and so I feel I can comment on how a native American would perceive this film. By the end of the film I had forgotten about the section on the Saudis. The outrage an American would feel is toward Bush alone; the amount of information on his incompetence, dishonesty, and greed simply overwhelms everything else, and this is what the American audience is looking at. The entire second half of the movie is exclusively about the invasion of Iraq and its horrible consequences.

The most moving part of the film begins with scenes of Baghdad in March 2003: children playing on swings, slides; men sitting in coffee shops chatting with friends, women walking on the streets and smiling for the camera.

Then, a long, silent shot of Baghdad at night. Suddenly, a massive explosion that lights up the entire screen. Explosion after explosion, followed by pictures of children with arms and legs blown off, pieces of men and women in the rubble, women screaming and crying.

the film does have what brother YUSUF mentioned

but what i am saying is that's the obvious message

and the hidden one - it wasn't that hidden for me !- blamed the saudies and pointed that THE WAR should've been on saudies not the iraqies.

and as we all know that the iraqi war is almost finished......

the movie makes it clear what the next target should be [Image: ph34r.gif]
