as salam alykom
I waited for more takers to come on, but obviously no one cares to do a search. Well one of the points is correct Dan, about the prophet's wives, but it was not wearing veil.
1. it was about no one is to see them at all, they must talk to people from behind a barrier.
as in:"And when you ask (his wives) for anything you want, ask them from behind a screen, that is purer for your hearts and for their hearts. And it is not (right) for you that you should annoy Allah's Messenger, nor that you should ever marry his wives after him (his death). Verily! With Allah that shall be an enormity." (Quran 33:53)
2. The second occaison is when the Messenger (sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) sent his slave for Omar to come to him, the salve entered where Omar was lying for a rest without taking a permission, Omar was sort of having his legs exposed. He felt bad for this. Went and suggested to the Messenger (sallah Allah a`alyhee wa sallam) to advice people to take permission before getting into their places.
The Ayah of:"O you who believe! Let your legal slaves and slave-girls, and those among you who have not come to the age of puberty ask your permission (before they come to your presence) on three occasions; before Fajr (morning) prayer, and while you put off your clothes for the noonday (rest), and after the 'Isha' (late-night) prayer. (These) three times are of privacy for you, other than these times there is no sin on you or on them to move about, attending (helping) you each other. Thus Allah makes clear the Ayat (the Verses of this Qur'an, showing proofs for the legal aspects of permission for visits, etc.) to you. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise" (Quran 24:58) was then revealed.
3. Allah made alcoh drink unlawful gradually, but every time people kept drinking it, until Omar was saying O Allah give us a decisive ruling about it.
The Ayah:"Shaytaan (Satan) wants only to excite enmity and hatred between you with intoxicants (alcoholic drinks) and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from As-Salaat (the prayer). So, will you not then abstain?" (Quran 5:91). People then said we abstained Allah we abstained.
Dan I dont know about the ransom situation, could u explain more and may be quote the Ayah for all of us to benefit.
and why dont u post a question? let us move this thread, it could be really beneficial.
