Many people wonder whether Islam teaches Muslims to hate Christians. The short answer is no.
Islam teaches Muslims to deal with all people with justice, kindness, and good manners. The Qur'an praises those Christians who are sincere, humble, and close to the believers in compassion:
Quote:"You will surely find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, 'We are Christians.'" (Qur'an 5:82)
At the same time, Islam teaches Muslims to remain faithful to their own beliefs while respecting the rights and dignity of people of other faiths.
Throughout history, Muslims and Christians have lived together, traded, studied, and cooperated in many parts of the world.
