I know brothers from Egypt. I met some here in the US and others in Saudi Arabia when I went there for Umrah. My "no comment" alludes to my true feelings for what the govenment does to my practicing brothers and sisters there. I will get off the topic though because I do not want to offend you, my sister.

As salam alaikum, Okhti.

It just breaks my heart that my brothers and sisters sometimes feel the need to leave their homeland that is supposed to be muslim in order to better practice their religion. One brother told me that it is easier for him to practice here than there. It hurts to see what greed and selfishness have done to us. We sell our deen and souls for nibbles of the dunya. I am reminded of the fact that we will give all the world in order to be allowed to go back and offer two rakats of prayer.

May Allah strengthen your resolve my sister. May you serve as a beautiful beacon of Islam. Jazaki Allah Khair for your struggle.

By the way, have you heard of Shaykh Hazim?

As salam alykom Akhi

Checking the forum before I go to sleep as I had guests for Iftar, one of them was Buddist wanting to check Islam. Dan I was thrilled I am a muslim sobhan Allah, Mash aAllah we are so blessed. And when I read your words, I really needed to hear them, really needed this dua, we are struggling Akhi we are, in many ways not only due to difficulties with gove, but even with people. Now for u to act like a muslim or try to act like one, u r looked at as strange, but this brings the hadeeth saying Islam will begin strange and end up strange. Well may Allah keep us all fixed akhi, no I didnt hear of this sheikh I just dont communicate much. Alhamdulelah Jazakum Allah khairan for your kind words

I am reminded of the hadith that this sunnah will become like holding a hot coal. Most people interpret this to mean that the sunnah will be hard to follow. But I was thinking the other day that a coal was chosen for a reason. Rasul-Ullah is noted for being specific in his wordings. I mean he could have chosen a fish or a bloody sword or wet bread, all of which are difficult to hold. Instead it is coal. I think (Astaghfirullah) that it also has to do with the pain that we experience while trying to hold to the sunnah. We suffer pain when people look at us differently. We suffer from isolation of family and friends. And like a burning coal we are marked by the sunnah from others forever. That is the good part of the hadith.

May Allah Forgive me for acting as if I have knowledge. May He forgive me for my mistakes. May He prevent me in the future Insha'Allah.
