About the Noble Quran
#1

Praise be to Allah, a praise which is adequate to Your graces and favors, Praise be to Allah abundant and special gratitude, we send prayer and peace on the best Messenger to the worlds our Prophet Mohamed, his family members, companions and whoever followed them until the day after. I seek refuge of Allah's Complete knowledge from my ignorance, "O my Lord! expand me my breast;* Ease my task for me* And remove the impediment from my speech* So they may understand what I say"

While we are still surfing with the Noble Quran, this piece will be shedding light on positions where Allah employed His Names and Attributes in a way that best serves the meaning. Actually, in Arabic it is astounding, however, with Allah's close guidance will do my best to bring the meaning.

"(They are) those who have Been expelled from their homes In defiance of right, (For no cause) except That they say. Our Lord Is Allah. Did not Allah check one set of people by means of another, There would surely have been Pulled down monasteries, churches, Synagogues, and mosques, in which The name of Allah is commemorated In abundant measure. Allah will certainly aid those who aid His (cause); for verily Allah is Full of Strength (laQawy Azeez), Exalted in Might, (Able to enforce His Will)" (Quran 22:40).

If we started analyzing this verse, we see that Allah started with an explanation about those who were compelled to flee their houses just for declaring that Allah is their Lord, then He moved to a confirmation about granting victory to those who stand firm for Allah's cause. (The underlined part is more to be granting victory rather than merely providing aid). And because He Shall grant victory and support He has to be at this position The Most Strong, The Possessor of All Strength and The Mighty. In the Arabic text the Name Qawy is preceded by a lam, it serves for more confirmation that He is the Most strong.

"That (is so). And if one has retaliated to no greater extent than the injury be received, and is again set upon inordinately, Allah will help him: for Allah is Paroner (A`afow) and forgives (again and again)" (Quran 22:60).

[b:a3bbce9e0f]In this verse Allah is Talking about retaliation and punishment in return for distress, because the topic here involves retaliation and punishment, He sat forth the rule on taking equal revenge without transgressing. Yet reminded us that since He is the One Who Owns pardon (A`afou: the first section of the underlined sentence) as well as One Who Forgives again and again. We might as well adopt this moral and pardon and forgive as well in such cases. [/color:a3bbce9e0f][/b:a3bbce9e0f]

"That is because Allah merges night into day, and He merges day into night, and verily it is Allah who hears and sees (all things)" (Quran 22:61).

<span>[b:a3bbce9e0f]At this position since He is the One who alternates night and day, here He must be the All Hearer since He Hears all what takes place during day time and Seeing (Baseer) who sees also all what takes place during night time.[/b:a3bbce9e0f][/color:a3bbce9e0f] </span>

<span>
"That is because Allah He is The Truth; and those besides Him whom they invoke, they are but vain Falsehood: verily Allah is He, Most High, Most Great" (Quran 22: 62). </span>

<span>
[b:a3bbce9e0f]Because He is The Truth and being endures unchangingly, then the verse must also end with a further confirmation for a description that fits His incomparable nature Most High, Most Great.[/color:a3bbce9e0f][/b:a3bbce9e0f] </span>

<span>
"Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky, and forthwith the Earth becomes clothed with green? for Allah is He who understands the finest mysteries, and The All Aware. He who has the knowledge of inner and most secret aspects of all things " (Quran 22: 63). </span>

<span>
[b:a3bbce9e0f]</span><span><span>This verse is extremely powerful, look at the beginning, Allah is One Who gifts His servants with rain from the sky which in turn causes land to grow plants forming a green carpet. Because He does this, He must be here The Subtle One. He who knows the minutest subtleties of all things so that to be able to send the rain from the sky and of course The All Aware. He who has the knowledge of inner & most secret aspects of all things. [/color:a3bbce9e0f][/b:a3bbce9e0f] </span></span>

<span><span>
"To Him belongs all that is in the Heavens and on Earth: for verily Allah, He is free of all wants, worthy of all praise" (Quran 22: 64). </span></span>

<span><span>
</span></span><span><span><span>[b:a3bbce9e0f]</span></span></span><span><span><span>Whereas here again He affirm that He Own all what is in the skies and earth. Therefore He must be He Who is not in need for anybody / thing and The Rich one. He who is infinitely rich and completely Independent. (Ghany), and also worthy of all praise for what He gives us. Sobhan Allah. The same style is used here in the Arabic text the Name Ghany is preceded by lahowa it means certainly He is.[/color:a3bbce9e0f][/b:a3bbce9e0f]
</span></span></span>

<span><span><span>
"Seest thou not that Allah has made subject to you (men) and that is on the Earth, and the ships that sail through the Sea by His command? He withholds the Sky (rain) from falling on the Earth except by His leave: for Allah is the Most Kind and Most Merciful to man" (Quran 22:65).

</span></span></span>

<span><span><span>
[b:a3bbce9e0f]

</span></span></span><span><span><span><span>Because Allah in this verse dedicated what is on earth for mankind in addition to the ships which sail in the see of course by His command so that we may benefit in many ways of transportation of people or goods and then made us secure while living on this earth. Secure because He holds the sky in order not to fall on earth. In this case He must be the Most Kind and Merciful. Through this kindness and mercy all of the previously mentioned is happening. [/color:a3bbce9e0f][/b:a3bbce9e0f]"
</span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span>
No just estimate have they made of Allah: for Allah is He who is strong and able to carry out his will" (Quran 22: 74).

</span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span>
[b:a3bbce9e0f]

</span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span><span>While again in this verse He is reminding us that there are some people who failed actually to understand and give Allah the adequate estimate. Adequate estimate for Who? Of course for the One Who is Full of Strength and Exalted in Might (Qawy Azeez).[/color:a3bbce9e0f][/b:a3bbce9e0f]
</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>
Sobhan Allah a`ama yasefoun: Glory to God (He is free) from the things they ascribe (to Him).

</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>
Brothers and sister, I was actually trembling before putting this article together, trembling of fear not to be up to explaining about His Names and Attributes. Have been hesitant to do it for a long time, then I said to myself I might as well try and invoke upon Al A`aleem to Help me, accept my humble effort and all of our efforts. Actually no effort can reach a precise explanation of His Names and Attributes we only try. But on the other hand it makes us really comfortable and relaxed to know that we are living under the canopy of He Who is Full of Strength and Exalted in Might.

</span></span></span></span></span>

<span><span><span><span><span>
Praise be to Allah who guided us for this and if it was not for Him we would have never been guided and I send the best prayer and blessing on our leader, teacher and Prophet Mohamed Ibn Abdullah who fought for the truth a real fighting may Allah reward him with the best reward.

Praise be to Allah, a praise which is adequate to Your graces and favors, Praise be to Allah abundant and special gratitude, we send prayer and peace on the best Messenger to the worlds our Prophet Mohamed, his family members, companions and whoever followed them until the day after. “They said: Glory to thee: of knowledge We have none, save what it is thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom.” “of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men)”. We invoke upon Allah to teach us what may be of benefit to us and allow us benefit of what He taught us. I really hope that Allah supports me in presenting the following verses and credit first and last is to Him only. I also seek His forgiveness and to Him I apologize for any fault at my side.

Glory be to Allah, as I already stated on the previous article around the Noble Quran, no matter how many times you read it, still you stop at new positions as if you read it for the first time. Further, you even get affected at certain verses in a way different than the time before. Glory be to “who hath sent to his servants the book, and hath allowed therein no Crookedness”. Brothers and sisters again I was moved by a number of verses and thought to share the implications with everybody hoping that Allah Shall grant us all benefit.

1. “it is who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: we detail our signs for people who know:” (of knowledge) (Quran 6:97).

2. “it is who hath produced you from a single person: here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure: we detail our signs for people who understand.” (Quran 6:98).

3. “it is he who sendeth down rain from the skies: with it we produce vegetation of all kinds: from some we produce green (crops), out of which we produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clusters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. behold in these things there are signs for people who believe.” (Quran 6:99).

4. “This is the way of the lord, leading straight: we have detailed the sins for those who receive admonition” (Quran 6:126)

5. “From the land that is clean and good, by the will of its Cherisher, springs up produce, (rich) after its Kind: but from the land that is bad, springs up nothing but that which is niggardly: thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols) to those who are grateful.” (Quran 7:58)

Let us study together the eloquent incomparable style of the Quran. Look how Allah the All Knowing explained in the first verse that He is responsible for creating stars in order to serve as sources of light which illuminate through the darkness of land and sea. He further commented that He the Superior All Capable explained and clarified the issue of stars to who, which category of servants? To those who know those who have knowledge. In other word, he granted scientists (who could be Muslims or non-Muslims) the explanation of this area.

We then shall move to the second verse indicating the creation of human beings from one soul who is Adam (prayer and peace be upon him). In this part, Allah determined that He explained and clarified this part to people, which people? Who has religious knowledge? Note that this part is involved with the creation, which is associated with faith.

As for the third verse, it refers to and reminds of Allah’s blessing of sending down the rain, which result into growing plants. He specifically mentioned olives and pomegranate. After that He drew our attention to the similarity of agriculture production in some cases and differences of another. Glory be to Allah. At this point it was mandatory for the explanation and allowing of realization, in other words awareness of the signs which Allah Spread around the universe for the believers. People who have faith in His existence as the Only Creator and Arranger of this universe. Glory be to Him of what they take associates. (don’t you sometimes look at plants and say Sobhan Allah out of astonishment this is exactly what it means).

The fourth verse is talking very briefly that this is the correct path. Upon which Allah Says that He explained and clarified the signs referring to this straight path, may Allah make us all the whole Muslim nation on it until the Day After for people who were given the adjective of remembering Allah. In other words, those who maintain the remembrance of Allah in all cases. Those who are able to realize, notice and observe signs of Allah and His indicators which we encounter at every day and each moment of our lives.

Finally on the fifth verse, the explanation and clarification of signs pertaining to the growing of plants in the good country with the Will of Allah. And since it is a good country the adjective used here to describe the people is those who pay gratitude.

Glory be to Allah, each one of the adjectives that Allah mentioned after each of the words “people" clearly indicates the assignment or area of employment Allah made for them. The description is very precise and compatible to each relevant position. Either the scientists whom Allah granted the science of understanding starts and their secrets, religious scholars (faqeeh which is derived from fiqh in Arabic it means to understand and comprehend) whom Allah chose them to be knowledgeable in the religion including of course the creation of mankind from one soul and so forth.

We own nothing but to say Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! We also say praise be to Allah for the blessing of Islam and faith which is sufficient as a blessing. I invoke upon Allah to accept this humble effort of which credit is to Him only He who no power or mighty except with Him and prayer and peace be upon our Prophet, teacher and leader Mohamed, his family member and companions.

As we decided to maintain this thread for comments about the Quran, I thought of another issue to be addressed here. Each one of us when reading the Quran interacts with the verses according to their messages. For instance, we tremble for verses of punishment and the Day After, while we cheer and become filled with hope in Allah's mercy when reading verses of forgiveness and Jannah.

I thought of sharing some of my reactions to some Ayas with you. However, I encourage eveyone to also participate in this topic. Because by bringing more reactions we see the verses from different angles. And of course you know that studying and reading the Quran has a major reward. We could even consider this a Halqat E`alm (circle of knowledge).

But forgive me if I started with such strongly threatening Ayah:

"On the day when every soul will be confronted with all the good it has done, it will wish there where a great distance between it and its evil. but [u:8dd27641ff][b:8dd27641ff]Allah caution you (to remember) himself[/b:8dd27641ff][/u:8dd27641ff]. and God is full of kindness to those that serve him"(Quran 3:30).

Actually this ayah is enough to make me tremble until I read it the next time. Will try to shed more light on the translation of the meaning, on the Day of Judgement each one of us will look at the good deeds he did, while will be wishing to have a long distance between him and the evil. The following sentence in Arabic is actually alarming: Allah Himself is warning us. Oh ya Rub. May He overlooks our sins.

"Lest the soul should (then) say: Ah. woe is me. in that I [u:8dd27641ff][b:8dd27641ff]neglected (my Duty) towards Allah,[/b:8dd27641ff][/u:8dd27641ff] and was but among those who mocked"(Quran39 :56)

In this verse the same meaning is almost confirmed in even a more explicit style. It say on the day when the nafs (soul) would regret for not paying enough respect, for being negligence, for being reckless towards the (in Arabic it is Janb Allah) which is actually His superior positon, His highly respected rank, His elevated self. Same thing this verse actually in some cases makes me unable to sleep.

"No misfortune can happen on earth or in your souls but is recorded in a decree before We bring it into existence: that is truly easy for God:* In order that ye may not despair over matters that pass you by, nor exult over favours bestowed upon you. For God loveth, not any vainglorious boaster"(Quran 57:22-23).

While this verse brings all the comfort and takes away the worry. It makes me never go up and down for things I lose or receive. For whatever I lose I'd have never knew what may happen if I had them and vice versa. For example, one should not go sky high over a promotion, you don't know what is in it. Or never break down for losing a sum of money, you are not sure about the consequences of having it.

Insh a Allah if you like this theme let me know and share your thoughts.

Praise be to Allah and prayer and peace be upon His Messenger Mohamed, his family members and companions.

Praise be to Allah who guided us to this and if it was not for Him we wouldn't have been guided "They said: Glory to thee: of knowledge We have none, save what it is thou who art perfect in knowledge and wisdom", prayer and peace be upon His Messenger the illiterate Prophet who was sent as a mercy to the worlds, his family members and companions.

In this message, we will Insh a Allah trace more of the verses in which Allah gives a precise description of His servants in a way that best serves the meaning of the verse. Sobhan Allah.

“He it is Who sends down water (rain) from the sky; from it you drink and from it (grows) the vegetation on which you send your cattle to pasture. * With it He causes to grow for you the crops, the olives, the date palms, the grapes, and every kind of fruit. Verily! In this is indeed an evident proof and a manifest sign for people who give thought.” (Quran 16: 10- 11).

The word in Arabic here is Yatafakroun, which is derived from fakar. Fakar is to think. So in this verse people who think shall certainly realize the sign of Allah manifested in sending down the rain, which in turn used to grow various types of plants. Only people who think shall realize this sign. They will see how great it is to have the water from sky and use the same water to grow different types of plants.

“And He has subjected to you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand.” (Quran 16:12).

In this type of sign, which is dedicating day and night, sun and moon as well as the stars to serve mankind, only people who can understand: and the word in Arabic is ya`aqeloun which is a derivative of a`aql. Y`a`qel ashya is to fully comprehend the thing, completely comprehend all aspects of the item subject to understand. Therefore, only people who possess this ability in other words people of science shall recognize such signs. Actually, the dedication of the mentioned items is a major action; only those who comprehend can appreciate it. On another verse Allah says” The creation of the heavens and the earth is indeed greater than the creation of mankind; yet, most of mankind know not.” (Quran 40:57).

“And whatsoever He has created for you on the earth of varying colors [and qualities from vegetation and fruits (botanical life) and from animals (zoological life)] Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember.” (Quran 16:13).

While here people who remember Allah a lot, people who indulge in remembrance shall easily be able to appreciate and comprehend the signs and miracles manifested in creating whatever on earth which is coming in different colors. They shall at this point look thoughtfully and say Sobhan Allah. May Allah Make us among them. Ameen

Praise be to Allah who guided us to this and if it was not for Him we would have never been guided and prayer and peace be upon His Messenger Mohamed Ibn Abdullah, his family members and companions.

"And let those (executors and guardians) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own, if they had left weak offspring behind. So let them fear Allâh and speak right words." (Quran 4:9).

Matter of fact the underlined word in Arabic is dhuriyatan which is children. Sobhan Allah the ayah is direct and clear about what to do if you need to protect your children after your death. Fear Allah (adopt a pious attitude or at least try I know we are all behind and need to progress towards piety). While the other part says in Arabic yaqoulo qawalan sadeedan. Is to say things in their perfect positions. Such as command an ill person to give out sadaqah, give a sound advice on a certain topic within the Divine rules and so forth.

Praise be to Allah, a praise which is adequate to Your graces and favors, Praise be to Allah abundant and special gratitude, we send prayer and peace on the best Messenger to the worlds our Prophet Mohamed, his family members, companions and whoever followed them until the day after. I seek refuge of Allah’s Complete knowledge from my ignorance, “O my Lord! expand me my breast;* Ease my task for me* And remove the impediment from my speech* So they may understand what I say”.

I seek Allah’s Close guidance and assistance in presenting the following analysis, may He accept it and make it a useful knowledge for all of us.

In this message we are Insh a Allah going to make a comparison between verses included on the previous researches on categories of servants as mentioned by Allah. With an in depth look at the following verses, we note that Allah explained about the benefits we make from stars describing its multiple functions as signs, signs which prove the Existence of a One Super Power Allah Rubul a`alameen. He Who Created the seven skies and seven earth. Through His incomparable knowledge, He Knew that mankind shall certainly at different times go against the basic goal of his creation. Mankind Shall go astray. At such situation signs and proofs shall be needed. However, He does not need to prove anything to us for His Interest but rather for our benefit. In this He manifested His Name ArRahman Al`aleem (Merciful All Knowledgable). He meant to help us see the correct path.

So back to the verses. In verse 6:97 Allah states that He detailed the signs. In other words, made it clear for a certain category (who are people of knowledge: scholars). He allowed them to gain such knowledge and understanding. Therefore, the word detailed here serves the meaning of gaining specialized knowledge to be qualified as a scholar in a field.

While on the second verse, which involves as well the day, night, sun and moon as well as starts. As you may see the items fall under the same topic of science which is cosmography. But it explains that only people who understand are capable of realizing the signs and proofs. Realizing them in a different way from the other verse. Realizing them as a proof of Allah’s Existence. People who are lucky enough to realize and comprehend shall easily see the miracle of alternating day and night, sun and moon as well as the multiple function of the stars.

“it is who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: we detail our signs for people who know:” (of knowledge) (Quran 6:97).

“And He has subjected to you the night and the day, and the sun and the moon; and the stars are subjected by His Command. Surely, in this are proofs for people who understand.” (Quran 16:12).

While here the signs are manifest and clear including rain which causes plants to grow in different types and colors. However, only people who have faith shall be able to comprehend. In this verse Allah made it somehow general. Because a believer, one who has faith does not necessarily be a scholar or an expert in some field. It is enough in this position to believe in the Creator, give thought or remember Allah to capture the sign.

“And whatsoever He has created for you on the earth of varying colors [and qualities from vegetation and fruits (botanical life) and from animals (zoological life)] Verily! In this is a sign for people who remember.” (Quran 16:13).

I invoke upon Allah that I was capable with His guidance to present the deep meanings of the above mentioned verses in an effort to apply the hadeeth of our beloved Prophet (PAPBUH) who said what means convey after me even just one verse. Alhamdulelah Rubual`almeen Praise be to Allah and best prayer and peace be upon His Messenger Mohamed Ibn Abdullah.

Praise be to Allah, a praise which is adequate to Your graces and favors, Praise be to Allah abundant and special gratitude, we send prayer and peace on the best Messenger to the worlds our Prophet Mohamed, his family members, companions and whoever followed them until the day after.

Once again I thought of sharing reactions to certain Ayahs, I still encourage everyone to contribute to this topic. I am sure we all have different reactions to ayahs of which we may all benefit.

In the Ayah (verse) 115 of chapter 2 (Al Baqarah) Allah say:

"To Allah belong the east and the West: Whithersoever ye turn, there is the presence of Allah (in Arabic it is literally translated as face). For Allah is all-Pervading, all-Knowing" however we must realize that the word face has no relation with faces as we all know. In other words, we cannot imagine how this face may be. It is only that Allah in certain cases uses expressions to bring the meaning to our minds in an easier way.

Now this Ayah actually makes me scared and yet very secured. As I think that wherever I look Allah is there He is present. It makes me need to be more aware of His presence so that I will not let Him see me in any position, which may Offend Him from me. Actually I don't think that any of us would be capable of taking His blame on the Day After. We cannot take the blame of a very loved one, ex: father mother, sister brother or even close friend so how about our Creator.

Yet it makes me so secured and comfortable that my Only One Lord is there for me everywhere at any time. Very securing.

the second verse is:"Verily the Day of sorting out is the time appointed for all of them, - * The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive" (Quran 44: 40-41).

Look at this Ayah, on the Day of Judgment now protector, which includes, a husband, father, an employer, or whatever can prevent any punishment. In other words, I can not go an introduce an excuse for not offering my Salat on time due to being on meetings with my boss, or for not wearing hijab because my husband or family members did not endorse it. I cannot use others attitude as a valid argument to Allah for failure of fulfilling my duties. They will not capable of protecting me from receiving the punishment in this case.

Again we shall ponder on some Ayas of the noble Quran and their deep meaning.

Look at Allah saying:” It is God who made your habitation homes of rest and quiet for you; and made for you, out of the skins of animals, (tents for) dwellings, which ye find so light (and handy) when ye travel and when ye stop (in your travels); and out of their wool, and their soft fibres (between wool and hair), and their hair, rich stuff and articles of convenience (to serve you) for a time.”(Quran 16:80). Here the Ayah explains about using animal skins for making residence places as people lived in tents at the time of the Messenger of Allah (PAPBUH). It carries on explaining also about utilizing other parts of the animals for making (the word in Arabic is Athathan of which the literal translation would be furniture). Then it terminates by saying that this shall be the case for a certain time. Using animal skin to make dwellings certainly ended now as well as using the other products to make furniture. Yes we do include of course wool and fibers in our textile which is in turn used for upholstery. But we do not use them as basic product for making furniture no more. So the word until a certain time with which the Ayah ended was very precise and to the point. I wonder if the companions at that time imagined that one day will come when people use bricks and cement for the construction of their dwelling rather than animal skin. Sobhan Allah the All Knowing. While as the Quran is valid throughout the times, the Ayah may be also understood as that we shall benefit of such articles and items for a limited time until we depart from this world. In fact our use of them is only temporary. That is another meaning the Ayah confirms. It reminds us that the enjoyment is only temporary.

Praise be to Allah and prayer and peace be upon His Messenger Mohamed, his family members and companions.
