Bismillah

How can we see the pandemic in light of Quran and hadeeth, is there any clue or indicator that tells us the reason for it??? people are engaging in speculations, interpretations and assumptions, they keep busy with numbers of new infections, deaths and recovered cases, do we need to do that? or we need something else?


1. Evil (sins and disobedience of Allah, etc.) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds, etc.), that Allah may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return (by repenting to Allah, and begging His Pardon). (َQuran 30: 41)


2. And fear the Fitnah (affliction and trial, etc.) which affects not in particular (only) those of you who do wrong (but it may afflict all the good and the bad people), and know that Allah is Severe in punishment. (this ayah makes me too scared) (Quran 8:25)


3. And your Lord would never destroy the towns wrongfully, while their people were right-doers. (Quran 11:117)


4. Verily the likeness of (this) worldly life is as the water (rain) which We send down from the sky, so by it arises the intermingled produce of the earth of which men and cattle eat until when the earth is clad with its adornments and is beautified, and its people think that they have all the powers of disposal over it, Our Command reaches it by night or by day and We make it like a clean-mown harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday! Thus do We explain the Signs in detail for the people who reflect. (Quran 10:24)




Narrated Abdullah Ibn Omar that the Messenger salla Allah a`alyhee wa sallam came to us saying O people of Muhajereen (immigrants) there are five issues if you will be inflicted with them and I seek refuge to Allah that you would not live when they occur, never fornication/immorality would spread among people till they commit it publicly except that plague and other unprecedented diseases which were never experienced before among their predecessors would spread and prevail, never people would cheat while weighting and scaling except that they suffer tough times, food shortage and unjust rulers, never people refrain from paying Zakat for their money except that they would be denied rain from sky and if it was not for animals they would have never received rain, never people violate the covenant of Allah and His Messenger except that Allah Sends on them an enemy from outside to take part of what is in their hands, and when their rulers don’t rule with the book of Allah and start selecting from what Allah revealed except that Allah will cause them to fight one another.” (reported by Ibn Majeh)


 
 
I believe it is quite clear, may Allah Pardon us all and lift this major trial and test,

We have three stages:

1. As the earth took its adornment.

2. The earth is beautified.

3. Its people think they have all the powers and control (artificial intelligence, hologram technology, cloning, robots...etc) mankind became under the impression that nothing is impossible and they are in full control,

At this point, which is the final stage, Allah Manifests His attributes and powers to show us how tiny and helpless we are,

Mankind thought that he is capable of everything, holding all the strings in his hands, manufacturing talking and thinking robots, feeling that he owns it all, Allah Challenges mankind with a tiny creation (the virus is the creation of Allah of course) and everything is put on hold, people are even afraid to meet, shake hands, parents are scared to hug their children, people are living in fear, they can not travel, For the first time in I dont know how long, no Salatul Qiyam is performed in Ka`aba, la hawala wala qowata ila billah. Are people pondering as they should, some are, but the majority are only busy with being bored and stuck at home, and trying to find means of entertainment.

But as Corona spreads, it is quite a signal that such haram practices are growing, shall we just sit and watch??? as Muslims what should we do???

Again people are busy with counting cases and deaths, how to protect themselves, still not realising that Corona is the symptom not the disease. The disease is the spread of fornication and immorality, as simple as that. Allah Is Sending a strong message, if we fail to receive it, well!!

I believe by now after reading through the Ayahs and Hadeeth, one can simply realise the root causes. But we are also ordained to ponder and reflect in each and every situation we encounter.For example, as we live this era listening to the phrase being said in the Addhan "ala salu fee byoutekum ala sallu fee rehalekum" (Oh perform your salat in your homes or within your travelling belongings, in other words dont come to the Masjed). This is titled as Adhan anawazel (calamities) Well, as long as the Messneger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam permitted it, it has to be uses as part of Islam, it was just used during our lives.

Leave alone that we took a lot of things for granted, one of them is performing Ummrah and Haj, who imagined that one day we will not be allowed globally to perform Ummrah and Haj, I mean not on the personal level due to financial or other reasons

Well in a Hadeeth:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: « تعجلوا إلى الحج فإن أحدكم لا يدري ما يعرض له » [رواه أحمد]

Narrated under the authority of Ahmad, the Messenger salla Alah a`lyhee wa sallam said: Hasten to performing Haj, as one never knows what to expect"

Who could imagine that we will not be able to access Ka`aba???!!


We were enjoying major blessing by going there and performing our worship, but did we give it due respect and appreciation? no we didnt. Muslims circle around Ka`ba talking on the mobile phone, groups are performing Sa`e and suddenly stop to take group picture rather than reflecting on our mother Haja may Allah be pleased with her.


The examples are endless, those who perform Salat u qiyam in Masjedes check their phones between every two sets of Rakaa.


Allah Is sending a strong and serious message telling us to wake up,


at the same time, it is a test for our intention, are we keen on performing salat u Taraweeh in the Masjed to be seen going and coming and attending the dua or we doing it for the pure sake of Alalh??


Questions we as Muslims should answer and In sh a Allah the test will be over!
