A new Hijri Year
#1

Bismillah

"If you help him (Muhammad) not (it does not matter), for Allah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they (Muhammad and Abu Bakr) were in the cave, and he said to his companion (Abu Bakr): "Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allah is with us." Then Allah sent down His Sakeenah (calmness, tranquillity, peace, etc.) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while it was the Word of Allah that became the uppermost, and Allah is All-Mighty, All-Wise."(Quran 9:40)

At this time every year, one keeps pondering about this significant incident of Hira, one must and should continue pondering, reflecting, learning and digesting. As it encompasses endless aspects that are of paramount importance to our lives as Muslims, only if we take heed!

It stands as physical proof about how it is best for us to delegate our affairs to Allah,

It teaches us what we should be focusing on, which is fearing Allah, seeking Allah's pleasure, distancing oneself from sins.

It shows how one should have complete confidence in Allah's Capabilities.

What else?? anyone???

I feel that these days the younger generation and even older generation, well all of us actually forget the fundamental reason for being on this planet. We live in a world where religion is seen as a secondary act or even the last thing on our list to do, we wake up each day with this routine of going to work, doing family chores etc. We stress we worry, yet we dont realise if we remembered Allah everything else in life would be so easy to do.

Those of us who remember Allah sometimes get caught up, with the society, family, so called culture, where it becomes so easy to get off track and to put Allah second again, where instead of turning to him we start looking left, right and centre for people to help us, forgetting its Allah who helps and guides us an if we remember him everything else will become easy and He will create the path for us. We need to keep firm in our faith and keep reminding ourselfs and others of what the ultimate goal is in life.

Islamic new year, well what can i say, most muslims wouldn't even have realised it was the islamic new year. Yet we know when its christmas, diwali, valentines day and so forth. We do need to educate ourselves further so that we know about our religion and to teach others.

Religion is our way of life, its not a seperate entity of which people think it is, growing up each of us are taught yellow is yellow, yet when you say to someone you need to eat with your right hand they will question it and say why, yet no one will question why is yellow yellow.

What the above teaches us is we need to return back to Allah, read and understand the Quran, the reason why it was sent, the importance of it, and go back to the teaching of the sunnah. We need to understand that we have been given a book which has all the answers to our problems, which anyone can sit read and understand, we need to return back to Allah and ask him to guide us.

Full trust and faith in Allah is what will make us succeed in this life.

As salaamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatu.

"Put your trust in Allah. Allah loves those that trust [in Him]."

[surah al-Imran 3: 159]

"If you had all relied on Allah (SWT) as you should rely on Him, then He would have provided for you as He provides for the birds, who wake up hungry in the morning and return with full stomachs at dusk."

[At-Tirmidhi]

InshaAllah remember that everything has already been pre-destined. All we can do is make du'a and be grateful for everything that Allah gives us. Trust in Allah and you will see things unravel before your eyes in the most perfect way.

Never give up on making du'a. Allah is Perfect and is capable of doing everything!

Du'as requested.
