Greetings from Houston, Texas USA.
I came upon this website recently while in a hotel room in New Orleans. I am working for the relief effort here following Hurricane Katrina. I am glad I found this website. I haven't posted much but I've read a lot. Already it's cleared up a lot about what I've heard about Islam. The Muslim and Non-Muslim members of this board have shown that they constantly treat one another with respect and dignity. Our differences aren't as great as those in the media would have us believe. We need this open dialog.

i m so glad as that u found us here by chance while in Houston Texas, Glory be to Allah. Last week I had an interpretation task here in Egypt with an American instructor, guess from where? Houston Texas. Allah surely Brings people from different places together. i m also happy for this impression u took. True Alhamdulelah, we do enjoy on this site a very special relation even among us Muslims and non Muslim guests regardless of the difference. There is not one single reason for me or my brothers and sisters not to respect u or any other non Muslim. Humans are humans. I m not commanded to dispise anyone.
Again u r most welcome and Insh aAllah the group of us Muslims here are more than ready to help u in any way we can...
