Hey ppl..
recently I have been playing around with the Idea of moving to the arabs to work... problem is... I just haven't decided where...
basically where ever I move should be english speaking (e.g. dubai) so that I can actually work there...
and for the accountants on the board... the country should follow the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)..
I'm guessing Madinah and anywhere else in Saudi is out of the question...
any advice ppl

Ok....
Great news for muslimah...
Did some research on egypt and it is increasingly seeming to be an attractive offer to work...
just one question though...
LANGUAGE BARRIER....
I mean... I know some arab countries such as Dubai, maybe bahrain etc... they have a very strong english based workforce... so working there not knowing much arabic is not a problem...
my concern is ... egypt...
what about that...
would the language barrier cause a big problem there...

naseeha, it is the opposite, around workplaces, you will hardly find people speaking Arabic  unfortunately. Did you go to the links I gave you? Those places attract American University graduates and the like. Insh aAllah for the best. Needless to mention performing Istikhara though. :hello_kitty_sm_03:

I know many people family and freinds who have moved from uk to the middle east and the best option for a muslim is to move to either Bahrain or Doha , definately not Dubai its too curropt commercialised and not very islamic , ive been to bahrain and doha , bahran is smaller , very small , but there are more english speakers there and they are more educated, doha s more islamic in my opinion than bahrain, there is more money in bahrain , and "ArCapita" are currently recruiting n Bahrain , they provide housses good pay with stock options etc.
I hope this helps

Im sorry I forgot to mention Cairo , id love to work in Cairo my , but the disadvantage of cairo is that there arent many opportunities in Cairo to find decent work , with a decent pay grade , and unfortunately if its money that motivates you to move then there isnt much in Cairo anymore, but out of all the options i have mentioned , Cairo has the best islamic environment , atmosphere , and its a lovely historical beautiful place to wrk.

Work isn't a problem. I have that covered. I work for Pricewaterhouse Coopers and they are supposed tohave a good pay grade everywhere...
The advantage with cairo, is that I have an umm over there to help me... anywhere else I go i have no one... Just me and my wife...
the thing is that I THINK cairo follows international standards.. but not tooo sure... I will verify this within the next week or so... insha allah...
if cairo has a good english speaking business world, follows the international account standards and pays well... then I'll probably go there...
as for dubai... suhail.. you are not the first to tell me this... I am beginning to worry about my islam there..
question for the Egyptians..
Is it possible for an english speaker to function properly in cairo..
and:
Are there any reputable islamic institutions near by for my wife to attend??
