1) is it compolsery to wear a hat for man when praying salaat ?

2) When traveling away from your city you can pray travel pray , but if you see a Jammat in a mosque and you join and just pray the main pray , can you then combine it with another pray example

Alsalam alaykom brother how are u :)

first question: no it is not compulsory, u can pray without a hat.

2nd question, it is okay to pray Jamaat even after you prayed your travel pray, you will get double Ajer brother, it might be considered for you as Nafelah, but if u entered the Masjed directly after athan and prayed jama3a for thohor, then u have prayed it as single prayer, then no need to combine with Aser prayer when its time come, pray it as single also, u just go again and pray it in the Masjed as jama3a it is better for you. Later if you would like to combine Maghreb and Isha prayer and if u r not near a Masjid then it is okay to combine. If you still need more explanation and u did not understand please repeat the question, and I will try to make it more clear, or if any of my brothers and sisters find another situation to add. and Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la Knows best.

Last question: Zar is haram, it is Bidah, it is not in Islam at all, if you search the Quran and Sunnah you will not find any verse or hadeeth saheeh that mention zar or talk about it, it was never done on the day of the Prophet Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, nor the Sahaba nor the tabieen, zar is part of the Sufism belief which is not according to Quran and Sunnah, it is a misconception and it will lead to hell fire. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala accept from us our good deeds, and prevent us from doing bad deeds, and rejoin us under his shade Ameeeeeeeeen

And Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la is Higher and more Knowledgeable, If I am right it is from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la, and if I am wrong from my own nafs and shaytan.
