Salam,

I knew copying and pasting would come back to haunt me.

Quote:By the way, I am willing to take pictures of the hadeeth in Siyar A'alaam Al Nubala if you have your doubts.

Dont worry I believe you.

Seems like another day at the library is called for. I request your patience. I dont think ill have the time till next week.

As for your question Muslimah I am still not quite sure what you are asking. If you are asking whether Allah arranged Mohammad(Saw) marriage to Aisha such that this proves the merit of Aisha and exempts her or her father from criticism or accountability then I do not agree at all. There could have been a number of reasons for that marriage from my POV mainly political. Maybe if you rephrase your question it may be clearer what you want.

Sure take your time Karbala, and also enjoy Eid certianly. Although I dont know what you need the library for, I produced to u a page of Ibn Katheer (the original book) that you quoted as a source. And you and us have no other choice but to seek copying and pasting, it is inevitable in cyber world brother.

I really was hoping that Karbala would continue coming, however, since we are not really seeking to win a debate or defeat anyone, after all we are all Muslims. I well remember that in his very few posts when we all started throwing questions, he cautiously evaded any discussions on the Sahaba knowing how our reaction would be. I did post a few comments on that topic. Before I even put the Ayah I m about to place here, how didnt any of the Shia think how would Ali may Allah Be Pleased with him accept the marriage of Omar may Allah Be pleased with him to his daughter. I know that Karbala thinks that the marriage of Rasullah from Aisha is political more than anything else.

Now let us see how Allah Describes the Sahaba, all of them, and after that it is up to each one to judge whether or not one may insult them may Allah be Pleased with all of them and Astaghferullah.

"And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Madinah)
and the Ansar (the citizens of Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him
. He has prepared for them Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise), to dwell therein forever. That is the supreme success." [/b](Quran 9:100)

Pls note that Allah Gave the description and promise to all of them without any exception. Does anyone had a better insight than Allah??? La hawala wala qowata ila billah.

Who gives him/herself the right to touch people who are described by Allah as such.

What is also important is that the two companions who are mostly subjected to serious insults are Abu Bakr and Omar.

Now was the Messenger salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam not prudent enough to take bad companions??

Over and above he said:

‏عن ‏ ‏أبي هريرة ‏

أن النبي ‏ ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏قال ‏ ‏الرجل على دين ‏ ‏ خليله ‏ ‏فلينظر أحدكم من ‏ ‏ يخالل ‏

عون المعبود شرح سنن أبي داود

Narrated under the authority of Abi Horairah

That the Prophet salla Allah a`lyhee wa sallam said that a man is on the same Deen (approach, method of life..etc) of his friend, thus one of you should be careful about who to take as friend" (reported by Abi Daoud)

Based on this, if one accuses Abu Bakr and Omar of something, the Messenger (astagherullah that my beloved dearest leader and teacher be at fault) would be like them??

Why should we stop it if we still have things to be put in.

Alright let me paraphrase my previous post. Instead of making assumptions and then answer them back, I said that at the beginning of your presence Karbala, you tended to avoid the subject of the Sahaba when it was brought out. I share the same aim that brought you here. My aim is to have information put from its source (a shia) not anywhere else.

Thus, what is your position on the Sahaba and in particular Abu Bakr and Omar? Do you slander them? Do you mention them with adjectives of dispraise????? And what is the position of the majority of the Shia????

Sister Muslimah - I think this is a good approach. There are things that needs to be straightened out on these issues. If brother Karbala wants to assist - fine, or if he does not have the possiblity, we should not let that stop us from exploring and learning more. Sis you are doing a good job so far! Keep it up inshaAllah.
