Jesus and Jonah
#31

Quote:undefined

Bismillah

Sister Muslimah - nice try! See what happens when I quote?.....A small square comes up and the word 'undefined' is written and I can press 'ok' or 'no'. And if I press 'ok' what I try to quote disappears. Must be something going on here...... :P

Wael & Muslimah, could you please re-read my post (#26)? Thanks! I'm absolutely certain it makes sense to me!

Quote:don't forget to buy for me some Lebanese sweets :D

I'll trade you a box of baklava for an Amr Diab CD ;)

Quote:May the God of Christ have mercy on Christ and all of us.

Hehe! Christ was sinless according to Muslims so this comment is wrong on so many different levels!

Quote:Salam and Ramadan Kareem to you too.

Shukran :) One of these days I intend on fasting with you all - seriously... for whatever reason, I wanna try it!!!

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Quote:However, due to your time limitation, your were not able to comment on the most important part of that prophecy, and that is Jesus being dead in his tomb, and Jonah being alive in the belly of the whale, remember that the prophecy clearly states, that Jesus will be AS JONAH WAS for this period of time, but you are telling me the exact opposite. So take your time and don't forget to buy for me some Lebanese sweets :D

I got so carried away thinking about Lebanese sweets that I totally forgot to address this point - LOL!

Regarding Our Lord's Death, please read paragragh 627 for a Catholic explanation: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/arch...sm/p122a4p3.htm

Okay... now back to my favourite topic... food :D (I hope you're reading this during Iftar). Believe it or not, Wael... the nicest meal I had in Lebanon was at a Chinese restaurant in Beruit! Just one of the many reasons why I love Lebanon!!! I'm no longer a vegetarian. Bring on the halal meat :)

I re read it. makes no sense to me at all. you are only talking about 3 days and ignoring the 3 nights, plus, you have no talked about <b>Jonah being alive and Jesus being DEAD which seems to me that they are NOT like each other as Jesus prophesied.</b>

No No... be honest with yourself FHC, you want to say that Jesus himself is God, and so it is he who give mercy, but we have proved by Allah's help that Jesus is not God. and so, don't get into "sinless" thing now, because I've discovered recently from the Bible that there are many other people who were declared <b>PURE AND PERFECT.</b> Plus ,we believe that Muhammad pbuh was sinless too, in the sense that he never committed intentional sins against God, but we still say may the peace and blessings of God Almighty be upon him.

First of all, I am sorry for your <b>LORD's death.</b>

Secondly, here is the paragraph you wanted me to read:

Quote:627 <b>Christ's death was a real death in that it put an end to his earthly human existence</b>. But because of the union which the person of the Son retained with his body, his was not a mortal corpse like others, for "it was not possible for death to hold him"470 and therefore "divine power preserved Christ's body from corruption."471 Both of these statements can be said of Christ: "He was cut off out of the land of the living",472 and "My flesh will dwell in hope. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, nor let your Holy One see corruption."473 Jesus' Resurrection "on the third day" was the sign of this, also because bodily decay was held to begin on the fourth day after death.474

Lastly, here are my comments:

Your <b>LORD's death was REAL</b>. Unlike JONAH who never dies during his trails (SO JESUS STILL UNLIKE JONAH) and so the prophecy remained unfulfilled. SIMPLE AND CLEAR.

Your favorite topic from now on should be "Jesus and Jonah" until you find the answer for our questions. So good luck.

No need to apologize. It's the victory of all victories! Be thankful & triumph over your salvation :)

Your understanding is as selective as your reading :D

I'm actually just going to pray that YOU find the answers to your questions which I've already discovered... by God's grace... not luck :thumb:

Peace & blessings!

I just thought to share my sorrow with you since <b>your Lord/God have died</b>. but the good news is, that I am thankful to my Lord who is<b> living and self sustaining, no slumber can sieze him nor sleep</b>, Alhamdulelah, our God is alive and can never die, not even for three days and three nights, <b>not even for three seconds</b>. So be thankful FHC and <b>accept Islam </b> before its too late. May Allah guide you to His only way. Ameen. (<i>Don’t get frustrated when I invite you to Islam, it’s just our duty to do so, you may accept the Islamic faith or you may reject it, it’s totally up to you.</i>)
