A Comparison

In the Name of the Father & of the Son & of the Holy Spirit - One God - now & forever. Amen.

May the Peace of Christ be with you!

Quote:i read what u wrote to me....its in basic contradiction with the reality of GOD, and what a god should be

I honestly don't know what to say. Perhaps we need to expound this further.

Quote:by reading the statemnt that Jesus experienced death, death is a creation, and GOD cannot be part of this creation, for he is everlasting and eternal, and if he really died, that means he ended one way or the other, nor is he eternal, nor is he first, nor is he the last.

those are enough to show u that Jesus is not GOD...

1. The Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity is the eternal Son of God (Divinity).

2. The Son of God Incarnate is Jesus Christ who assumed flesh from the Blessed Virgin Mary (Humanity).

Jesus had to experience death otherwise He wouldn't have been true Man. It's a heresy for Catholics to deny Christ's humanity or His death. Please remember that Catholics profess that Jesus rose again after 3 days - He conquered death for humankind. Although Muslims reject this truth, it's a vital part in the Christian faith. You can only understand one mystery in light of the other.

In order to distinguish between Christ's 2 natures, it's appropriate to say that "Jesus died" or "God Incarnate died" rather than "God died" or "the Second Person of the Most Holy Trinity died". Death didn't destroy one inch of Christ's divine nature.

Quote:what u say contradicts the sound mind.

Please ask me more questions. Point to the part that you're having difficulties with because I don't see any contradictions from where I'm sitting.

Ok here we go again, I can see FHC that you are overwhelmed. In consideration to this, I will hold on my comments for a while. :)

Wa alaikum al salam, Muslimah.

Your comments will be welcomed whenever you're ready to share them. Whatever happens, I respect your position & I won't take offence to anything you say, so please don't hold back.

God bless you both!

What makes a difference between a true God, and a wanna be god?

Um... you requested that we use our minds but I feel really dumb at the moment because the only answer I can come up with is the obvious one: the True God is God & the wannabe god is not.

Yalla, your turn :)

ok i will help you see it more clear, and based on that is why humans see the difference with who is worty of worship and to be GOD and who is not.

here we go....

It is a known fact that every language has one or more terms that are used in reference to God and sometimes to lesser deities. This is not the case with Allah. Allah is the personal name of the One true God (i am sure you agree with this). Nothing else can be called Allah ( and u agree with this). The term has no plural or gender. This shows its uniqueness when compared with the word god which can be made plural, gods, or feminine, goddess. It is interesting to notice that Allah is the personal name of God in Aramaic, the language of Jesus and a sister language of Arabic.

Allah is the Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, Who is similar to nothing and nothing is comparable to Him.

so far so good?

tell me if u agree or u see anything that u dont agree with....and we will continue more on it. ( i have not used religion yet, we are using on what is common terms between us and what a regular mind would accept)

yalla i wait ur answer

I'm sorry to keep you waiting, Al-fateh! I'm up to my neck in Uni assessments. As much as I enjoy our discussions, I can't just drop everything for you, bro ;) I promise I'll respond to all your posts in due time.

Indeed Allah is the Aramaic/Arabic equivalent to God (in Christianity). However, it's not His Personal Name. In the Old Testament God revealed His Personal Name to Moses... "YHWH" or "Yahweh" meaning, "I AM" or "I AM WHO AM".

Shu raayak?

Alright, FHC I wasnt holding back in fear of offending u as much as giving you a chance to attend to fateh's discussion since he took the theme to a totally different direction. For the best, I wanted to give room for this.

Anyway, re read your post #107, u gave me a bible verse. I m simply saying that the original poster on this thread made a comparion between Mohamed and Eassa prayer and peace be upon both of them. In this comparison, in order to confirm Eassa's divinity, he mentioned that he revived the dead and other miracles which we Muslims are fully aware not only aware but believe in it because it was transmitted to us thru Quran.

Now you built on that explaining to me that those divine attributes are part of him being a second in the trininty. My question is simply, because he is divine, second in the trinity, performed many miracles that stood as evidence to his divinity in front of peoplé nakes eyes, among those miracles, did he create anything/body at all???? simple. Did he do that in front of the nakes eyes of people just like the other miracles???

Shukran for your question.

Jesus Christ, the Son Incarnate, was present with the Father & the Holy Spirit at Creation. There was never a time that He was not & nothing/no one came into being without Him. St John says it best in His Gospel...

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 He was in the beginning with God;

3 all things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.

4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 He came for testimony, to bear witness to the light, that all might believe through him.

8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness to the light.

9 The true light that enlightens every man was coming into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world knew him not.

11 He came to his own home, and his own people received him not.

12 But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God;

13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father.

15 (John bore witness to him, and cried, "This was he of whom I said, `He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.'")

16 And from his fulness have we all received, grace upon grace.

17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

18 No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.

God bless.
